Across The Sea
Chapter 3
A/N: Hey Guys! I am so excited to continue this story because I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it, which makes me very happy. I promise I won't torture Georgie anymore, but he's just so cute when he's sick! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll see you at the bottom
John, Paul, Ringo, and Cynthia arrived back to the hotel just after the Doctor had left. They knocked on the door and Brian answered
"You can come in, but make sure not to make him talk too much," Brian said. "He needs to rest his voice."
"Alright, we won't talk too much," replied Ringo. "What did the doctor say was wrong with him anyway?"
"He just has a bad case of the flu, but his tonsils are really inflamed and his temperatures gone up to 104," Brian said " Normally they would want to take him to the hospital but they think he'll be just fine as long as he rests." "That means No going out and we're not sure if he can play on Ed Sullivan on the ninth."
"We can't do it without Geo," John said. "We'll just have to help him get better."
"All you can do right now is let him rest," Brian replied. "And get some sleep yourselves."
"Alright," they agreed in unison.
They all went to sleep that night hoping that George would be alright.
"Alright Boys," Brian said. "Today you have a photo shoot to attend in Central Park. "
"How are we going to do that without Geo?" asked Paul
"Just tell them he's ill, but he'll be alright," Brian replied. 'They'll understand, and George really needs his rest."
"Alright, thanks Eppy," John replied, using the pet name he knew would piss him off.
Before they left, they decided to go check on George. He had called his sister, Louise to take care of him and she would be arriving that day. They couldn't find a nurse that didn't scream when they saw George.
"Do you need anything buddy?" Ringo asked him.
"No, I'll be alright," he replied hoarsely with a weak smile. "You guys go on so I can rest up for tomorrow."
The guys looked a little skeptical. "Are you sure you'll be playing tomorrow?" Paul replied.
"Positive, "answered George. " The show must go on."
The boys visited a little longer with George and then left for the photo shoot.
"Where's your fourth member," a reporter asked them. "The papers have been saying he's been feeling better."
So as not to worry the fans, Brian put out a public announcement that George would be alright, when in reality, he was still very sick.
"He's doing alright," John spoke for all of them "But he needed to rest up so he will be well enough for tomorrow.
The crowd was very understanding and they sent well wishes for George. They would just have to wait and see what happened tomorrow morning.
A/N: I know, I keep stopping really short, but this was all I had today. I really hope you guys liked it, and please please please review
