Across The Sea

Chapter 5

A/N: Heyyo! Soo, I managed to write the long awaited fifth chapter, and now I'm looking for new story ideas. Feel free to leave any ideas you may have in a review. Collab, anyone? Let me know, it'd be a pleasure to work with one of you.

Brian knocked anxiously on George's door.

"George, do you feel well enough to play the show?" Brian asked.

"Yeah," he answered.

"Alright we'll have the doctor check you," Brian replied.

"Well, George, it looks like you certainly have not improved," the doctor informed him. "However, I think it will be just fine for you to play the show tonight as long as you're careful. "

"Thank you so much," he replied.

"Now, doctor, what are some of these precautions we need to take." Brian inquired.

"Just don't strain your throat more than is nesscescary." The doctor replied. "We'll shoot you full of medication to help, and then send you on your way."

"Alright, sounds good," replied Brian.

About an hour later, George walked dizzily into the studio, where a guitar was strapped to his neck.

"George!" John shouted as he ran over to him and gave him a huge hug. "Look at this!"

John showed George the piece of paper he was holding in his hand. It was a telegram from Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker, congratulating them on their appearance on the show.

"W-we g-g-g-ot a telegram from Elvis?" George stammered excitedly

"Yeah, we did," replied Paul, who had just joined them.

"Where's Rings?" asked John.

"Right here," replied Ringo, as the shorter man skidded in place next to George.

George swayed back and forth slightly and Brian quickly led them to a room where he could sit down.

"Your final sound check is in fifteen minutes, and then you have your performance." Brian informed them. "Are you guys all ready?"

"Yup,"

"Yup,"

"Yup,"

"Yes Sir!" screamed John.

"Alright, glad to see the enthusiasm," Brian chuckled. "Now, George already knows his precautions but I thought I'd let you guys know."

"What precautions," Paul asked nervously.

"It's nothing bad," Brian answered. "He just needs to go very easy on his vocal chords and the rest of his throat, "he finished.

"But I'm sure everything can go on as normal," George added.

"Alright, Boys," Brian said. "It's show time."

Ringo was handed his drum sticks and instruments were strapped on the other boy's backs. It was officially time for them to rock America.

The boys launched off the show with All My Loving. Girls in the audience swooned over Paul's dreamy voice, and George's sturdy harmonies. The response they got from the audience was just wild. During Till There Was You, George managed to play his twangy solo with gusto, stomping his feet and bobbing his head all the way.

"She loves you yeah yeah yeah, she loves you yeah yeah yeah, she loves you yeah, yeah YEAH!"

It was now time for a break before the second portion of the show.

"How's the throat?" Ringo asked George.

"Fine, he replied with a smile.

The boys took a few minutes to hydrate themselves and then they were on again.

"1, 2, 3 FAH!," Paul kicked off their second set with the booming " I Saw Her Standing There"

And lastly, they closed the show with their huge hit, I Wanna Hold Your Hand.

All In All, it had been a great show, and they couldn't wait for the rest of the tour.

A/N: So, I really hope you guys liked this chapter, and I've decided to continue the story on for the rest of their tour. Please review?
