AN: Thanks for the nice reviews about the proposal. I have had some questions regarding the drama up ahead for Edward and Bella. I just wanted to let you know two things: 1. No, there will be no Tanya getting between Bella and Edward, even though she may try. They will still love each other; and 2. Absolutely no 'New Moon' situation. I detested that Edward left. So, enjoy the next chapter and see additional note at the end. Thanks!

Telling the Family
EPOV
I woke up with my fiancé in my arms. She said yes! Bella was going to be wife and I couldn't keep the smile off my face, even in my sleep. She was going to make the most beautiful bride. I wondered how fast I could talk her into setting the wedding date?
I wonder if she likes Vegas?
No, I needed to give her a wedding that she will remember forever. I want her to have everything she ever dreamed of. Little girls always planned their weddings growing up, didn't they? I broke out of my thoughts when I saw my phone blinking on the bedside table. I reached for it, trying not to jostle Bella. Of course, it was Alice texting.
Congratulations! Dinner at mom and dad's tonight. It is required. Whole fam + Em and Rose will be there. Love you both. xoxox Alice
I decided to text her back to let her know we would be there. I knew Bella would be eager to show Rose and Em her ring. My texting must have woken her up because I felt her ass wiggling against me and stifled a groan. We had been going at it most of the night, taking short breaks before attacking each other again. My girl had almost worn my cock out. Almost. I grinned against her neck. I reached around her to rub her newly bare pussy. That was so fucking sexy. I heard her moan sleepily.
"How are you feeling this morning, my gorgeous fiancé?" I asked in her ear. She moaned something unintelligible. I chuckled and placed a finger inside her. She was so wet. "Are you sore at all, baby? We had quite the workout last night." She answered by putting her hand down on top of mine, making me press harder on her as she kept rubbing her ass on my cock. "Mmmm, are you still horny, my Bella?" She moaned again. I pressed my cock into her back. "Do you want more of that or do you want some crème brulee?" That woke her up a little.
"Crème brulee? Where is it?" I laughed at her and her sweettooth. It looked like sugar was going to win over sex.
"I can go get it ready right now. I just want to suck a little right here first." I sucked and licked her neck at the base of her ear where I know she likes it, slipping two fingers into her. She moaned louder and pressed back against me.
"Sex, then crème brulee." She said breathily as she reached behind her and tugged on my hair. Her wish was my command. I took my fingers away using my hand to bend her knee and move her leg to give me some access from behind. I leaned over her a little, still kissing her neck, and guided my cock into her. She was so damn tight in this position. I could barely breathe as I pushed in slowly.
"Uhhh…fuck, baby." I moaned until I completely sheathed myself in her. I pulled out about halfway and thrusted in hard, repeating several times as Bella kept moaning and tugging on my hair. I put my hand back on her pussy, rubbing her clit, because I wasn't going to last long. She was too tight and warm.
"Mmmm, Edward that feels so good. Oh, oh…right there, please." I loved it when she talked to me like this and told me what she liked. I kept my motions constant as she built up for her release. I felt her orgasm around my cock, which sent me over the edge immediately, groaning her name as I spilled into her. Fuck, that was so good. I just laid there in euphoria, gently kissing her neck, as my body came down from my high.
"Crème brulee now." I heard her say softly. I laughed and tickled her a little.
"OK, baby. I think it's time for us to get out of this bed." I was in desperate need of a shower. I kissed her once more before getting up and turning on the shower. I started washing up, going quickly so I left Bella some hot water, feeling pretty damn smug. The most wonderful and beautiful woman in the world wants to be my wife, is wearing my ring, and just gave me the most incredible sex marathon of my life last night. Life was pretty good. Then I heard her scream. My head shot out of the shower immediately trying to figure out what was going on.
"Bella, what's wrong?" She was just standing there in front of the mirror. I finished washing quickly, turned off the water and got out of the shower. I threw a towel around my waist and sped over to her. I looked her over and I didn't see any bleeding or broken bones. She just looked at me and threw up her hands in exasperation.
"Edward, look at me! I look like Frankenstein's bride!" I had to hold back the laughter that wanted to escape. I had to admit that she had some seriously messed up hair. But, she had gone to bed, and not to sleep, with it wet. I stood behind her and put my arms around her, forcing myself not to play with her luscious breasts, as we looked at our reflections in the mirror. Her eyes met mine in the mirror.
"Well love, I think you are gorgeous. This is what happens when you are thoroughly sexed up five times." My hand did slip down a little, touching her breast. She slapped it away with a sexy, little growl.
"Quit being a perv, Edward. It's going to take me an hour to get these tangles out." She pointed at me in the mirror. "Men have it sooooo damn easy." She said with a glare. Come to think of it, she might be a monster's wife. She was a little scary in the mornings. I gave her one of my signature smiles and she seemed to snarl a little. Feisty Bella.
"Just jump in the shower, love. Put lots of conditioner in and I will brush it out for you if you want." I kissed her forehead before turning the water back on and guiding her into the shower. "I have some clothes for you. I will lay them on the bed. I am going to get dressed and see about breakfast." I hoped the hot shower would calm her down a little. Or, at least calm her hair down a little. I smiled as I realized even her Frankenstein hairdo turned me on.
I really need help.
I got dressed in the jeans and t-shirt Alice had packed for me and headed out on deck. I shook my head looking at the drenched candles and our wet clothes strewn about. I decided to deal with the cleaning later and went to the kitchen. I got the crème brulee out of the fridge. Then I put the sugar on like the chef at the restaurant had told me. I fired up the little torch and flamed away until the top turned golden brown.
Ha, Jasper is right. This is fun.
I grabbed a couple spoons, some bottled water and placed it all on the table. I walked back in the bedroom. Bella was dressed and brushing her hair. She smiled at me as the brush ran smoothly through. It looked like the conditioner did the trick. I was almost a little disappointed that I didn't get a chance to brush it. Oh well, we have the rest of our lives.
"Breakfast is served, beautiful." She put the brush down and followed me to the kitchen. We sat down and dug into our sweet treat.
"Mmm, this is really good, Edward." I ignored the twitch from watching her lick her spoon.
"Yeah, it is good. Not really much of a breakfast, but I had to make do with what we had." I smiled at her. "This was supposed to be dessert last night."
"You gave me plenty of dessert." She said as her eyes twinkled. I loved playful Bella. She seemed to have gotten over her tangles.
"So, dinner tonight at my parents. The whole family is going to be there, plus Emmett and Rose." I told her. She looked at me questioningly.
"What do you mean 'whole family'?" She asked.
"Well, the usual suspects plus all my grandparents. I think they will be there for an announcement." I said as my hand reached over hers and I played with her engagement ring. She smiled down at her ring.
"It's really so beautiful." She said softly. "I can't wait to meet them. I can't thank them enough for their gifts."
"Well, how about if we get out of here after we finish and go home and relax for awhile before heading over to mom and dad's? I'm pretty tired and could really use a nap." I smirked at her. She rolled her eyes at me.
"Actually, a restful afternoon sounds great. Let's clean up in here and go home." Bella gathered up our wet clothes that were scattered around the deck while I picked up all the candles. We got home and both of us fell asleep on the couch in the den watching a movie, with Bella sprawled across my chest. I woke up a couple hours later to find her massaging my feet. It felt so good.
"I'm going to go up and take another shower. I want to look nice for tonight." She told me. I nodded to her sleepily and smiled.
"OK, baby. I still say you always look nice though." She snorted before she disappeared upstairs.
We both showered and changed. Bella wore a very becoming, light blue sundress and had her hair pulled up in a ponytail. I had to force myself to keep my hands off her body and my lips off her neck. I did keep my eyes on her constantly though, and caught her admiring her ring several times. My heart practically burst with joy every time she smiled at her hand.
Yep, I am officially a sap.
As we drove to my parent's house, Bella did reach over to hold my hand. We just couldn't go too long without touching each other in some way. It made me happy that I wasn't alone in that feeling. I held her hand in mine the whole way as we talked.
"Edward, remember that Emmett leaves for training camp tomorrow, so Rose might be around more often for the next couple weeks, or I may be over at her place." Bella reminded me.
"That's fine, baby. You know Rose is always welcome. Did you want to drive out to Em's training camp to watch any practices?" I asked her. Some NFL teams, like the Bears, sent all their players to some off-site location for training camps. Usually, it is at some college campus where they put all the players into dorm rooms and keep them practicing a lot during the days. The practices are often open to the public so that fans can come and watch.
"Well, Rose said that Em told her these camps were hot and nasty. There will be big crowds and little access, even for families of players. I told her I would go with her if she wanted to take a look, but Em didn't seem to think she would like it." She told me.
"If you guys do decide you want to go, let me know and I will try to get a shift switched and go with you. I have never been before." She nodded at me.
"The first home preseason game is on August 12, two weeks away from now. I can't wait to see the stadium." She said excitedly. I couldn't wait to take her to the family suite.
When we pulled up, I could tell by the vehicles in the driveway, we were the last to arrive. Bella waited for me to come over and open her door. She had been surprised at me for opening her doors when we first started living together. She had scoffed in the beginning, not because she didn't like it, but because she had never been treated that way before. But, I always wanted to treat her as a gentleman should. It was something I learned from my father. I held her hand in mine after I helped her out, and we made our way to the front door. Alice was there to greet us immediately.
"Let me see, let me see, let me see!" Alice squealed excitedly, clapping her hands and bouncing on her feet, after throwing the door open. Bella held out her hand, with a huge smile on her face. Alice grabbed her hand and shrieked a little. Then Bella was engulfed in a big hug.
"I'm so glad you are going to be my sister." I could already see the tears forming in Bella's eyes by Alice's statement. I had a feeling that I would need to have some Kleenex handy this evening. Alice then turned to hug me. "Congratulations, big brother. I'm so happy for you."
"Thanks, Alice." I said as she grabbed both our hands, pulling us inside.
"Come on you two. The whole family is in the living room waiting to see you." As we walked in, I saw she was right. Everyone was sitting in the living room, drinks in hand, talking together…even Emmett and Rose. They all stood up when they saw us enter, I could already see the tears in my mom and Rose's eyes. I cleared my throat, keeping a tight grip on Bella's hand.
"Hi, everyone. Well, you all probably know this already, but I asked Bella to marry me last night, and she said yes." I said, smiling down at my Bella. There was a loud applause from everyone and shouts of congratulations. I pulled her over to my Masen grandparents so they could meet her. "Grandma and grandpa, this is Bella Swan." My grandfather shook her hand with a smile, telling her to call him Anthony, before my grandmother pulled her into a hug.
"It's so wonderful to meet you, Bella. Congratulations. I hope you and Edward will be so happy together. Oh, and please call me Katherine." Bella hugged her back, smiling through her tears.
"Thank you for the ring. It's more perfect than any ring I could have imagined." Bella told her. That brought the tears to my grandmother's eyes. I saw my dad appear with a box of tissues out of the corner of my eye. My grandparents both congratulated me, my grandpa slapping me on the back. I then guided Bella over to my Cullen grandparents.
"Bella, these are my other grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Cullen." I told her. Again she was congratulated and hugged, giving profuse thanks to my grandmother for the necklace. Bella was then surrounded by my grandmothers, my mom, Rose and Alice as they all admired the ring and told her how beautiful she looked. They begged for all the details of our date last night. When Bella started telling the story of her proposal, all the guys started heading for the back door, looking for beer and looking for some activity, like starting the grill. I don't think the ladies noticed we left.
Jasper handed out beers to the guys and I opened mine up, taking a big gulp.
"So, everything went well last night?" Jasper asked me. I smiled.
"Yeah, it was perfect. Well, it did start raining while we were on the boat, but she enjoyed it anyway." I was grinning like a fool. Yeah, I admit it, I am a sap. I looked around at all the men in my family, grins spread on their faces and I couldn't have been happier. Even Emmett looked happy.
"I told you so." Jasper joked and punched me on the arm. I didn't even mind because my thoughts were all on my fiancé.
Now, we just have to plan the wedding.
BPOV
I had an entire 60 seconds of enjoying meeting Edward's grandparents before Alice had officially made it her duty to plan my wedding. I love her eagerness but sometimes it is tough to catch a breath around her.
"OK, Bella. Let's get down to business. How soon do you want the wedding?" She asked me. Edward and I hadn't even discussed it yet. I would prefer to get married sooner rather than later, but I also had to think about school starting at the end of August. Would we be going on a honeymoon? When could Edward get time off from the hospital? I needed to talk to him first.
"Alice, I just don't know. I need to discuss it with Edward first. We have a lot to consider. I'm starting classes at the end of August and I'm not sure when he would be able to take time off from work or even how soon he wants a wedding. Maybe he wants a long engagement?" I said. I saw all the Cullen and Masen women shaking their heads.
"No way, Bella. I'm betting that Edward wants to get married as soon as possible." Esme broke in.
"Well, we should still talk about it before I make any plans with Alice." I reasoned.
"How about this? You and Edward take the next couple days to figure out the best time, then the three of us can sit down and at least set a date. Once the date is set, I can work with you more to figure out the details. Oh, one other big question you need to talk to him about first is where you want the wedding and reception." Alice was talking a mile a minute but I was managing to keep up with her.
"This is just a thought, but if you and Edward would like, we could have the reception here. We could rent some large tents, set up tables, and lights, and everything. I think the land around the house along with the gardens would be a nice setting." Esme spoke softly as if she didn't want to seem pushy. I thought it was a terrific idea. I didn't want them all to get carried away though.
"Esme, I think that would be great as long as Edward agrees. I should mention that I would prefer this to be a smaller affair. I mean, I only have Em and Rose in my family, so my side of the aisle will be pretty sparse." Rose grabbed my hand when I said this. She knew I was hurting thinking about not having a mother of the bride or a father to walk me down the aisle.
"Well, in that case, we should be non-traditional and have people sit anywhere. Besides, I'm sure Edward will also want to keep the wedding small-scale." Alice said.
"I think Bella has plenty to think about and discuss with Edward. Let's allow her an opportunity to enjoy her engagement." I think Esme saw that I needed a break. She gave me a hug and asked if I wanted a drink.
"I can make you another strawberry surprise, if you like." Alice said, bouncing up and down. I smiled at her.
"That would be great, Alice. Thanks." She took off like a shot for the bar, while Esme went to the kitchen to work on dinner. Rose sat with me on the loveseat, holding my hand, as we chatted with Edward's grandmothers. They were both so terrific. I couldn't believe I was going to be part of such a big family. They told me how they participate in a lot of charity organizations and if I was ever interested, they would love to have me join them. Their warmth and fervor toward me and Rose really touched my heart. I was so glad to see Rose and Em being included just as I was.
In fact, I think Em was already halfway in love with Esme. After Alice brought me my drink, I decided I should pitch in and help in the kitchen. As I was walking in, I heard Esme talking to Emmett.
"Emmett honey, here I made you some special appetizers. It will be a little while before dinner is ready and I bet you are hungry. You go on and take these out and relax by the pool. I know you have a tough couple weeks coming up." Awwwww, that is so sweet. Esme's taking care of him. Em has been without a mother most of his life, just like me. He never says anything but I know he would have been a momma's boy if given the chance. He is just too much of a teddy bear not to have been.
"Thanks, Momma C." I heard Em reply before I walked in seeing him carrying the tray outside. I couldn't resist walking up to Esme and giving her a hug. She stilled in surprise, then squeezed me back.
"What was that wonderful surprise for?" She asked, smiling at me.
"For taking care of everybody like you do. It means more than you know." My eyes teared up a little. She tugged my hand gently, pulling me in the nearest empty room.
"Sorry. I just got a little emotional seeing you with Emmett like that. I know he has missed having a mother as much as I have. And to hear him call you Momma C…." I broke off, with a grin. "It just means a lot. I know it does for him, too." I explained to her.
"Oh, sweetheart. I love so much that you and your brother and Rose are going to be a part of my family." I squeezed her hand, letting her know I agreed.
"Alright, well put me to work, Momma C." She laughed as we walked back into the kitchen. She set me up frosting a cake. I took another big sip of my delicious drink just as Alice walked back in.
"Mom, how is it that dad is such a renowned surgeon, but he can't not burn a chicken breast?" Alice asked, winking at me.
"It is one of the wonders of the world, my dear." Esme sang back. Rose nudged me with her elbow as she chimed in.
"I think Esme would put up with pretty much anything just to get to see his pretty face every day." I almost gasped at Rose talking about Carlisle's hotness. But, Esme just turned around to face us with a wide smile.
"I get to see a lot more than his face." She exclaimed, while Alice shook her head and Rose laughed. Inner bad girl wanted Esme to take some pictures. I shook my head, trying to stop myself from imagining Edward's father. I was probably blushing as I tried to change the subject.
"Hey Alice, what do you put in these drinks? They are so good and I want to know the recipe. I can't even taste any alcohol." I didn't really like the taste of alcohol very much and I wanted to know how to make these at home.
"Oh, a little of this and a little of that." She said before helping her grandmother carry a tray into the dining room.
"Well, I guess she isn't going to tell me." I whined lowly. Esme chuckled behind me. Damn pixie.
Dinner was a loud affair. All twelve of us were seated around the dining room table and conversations were waging from every direction. Alice was making some kind of bet over a guitar hero rematch with Emmett. Katherine and Elizabeth were gossiping across the table. Esme was in a heated political debate with Jasper. Edward was talking with his grandfathers about getting a golf game together soon. And Carlisle was keeping Rose and I mesmerized as he discussed the nuances of grilling chicken. It didn't really matter so much what he said, when he threw in a couple winks and smirks, it made the hearts of every girl in a 5 mile radius flutter. No matter what was being said around the table though, Edward's hand remained in mine under the table as much as possible. Our touches kept each other calm and happy.
Jasper, Edward, and Carlisle insisted on clearing the dinner dishes. Rose, Esme and I brought in dessert and coffee. Alice talked me into her special tea again. It was pretty good and I didn't mind not having coffee this late in the evening. While we were all eating our cake, Alice said she had a surprise for everybody. She rushed out as I wondered what she was up to now. She came back in, loaded down with medium sized gift bags, one for each of us. She told us to wait and open them all together. She was practically jumping around as we waited for her to give the signal. When she gave the go ahead, I reached into my bag, pulling out a Bears jersey. I held it up and turned it around, looking at the back. I smiled as I realized it was Em's jersey. Alice had gotten each of us our own jersey with Em's number and 'Swan' in big letters on the back of it.
"Now, when we all go to the game, everyone will know who this family is cheering for." Alice said grinning. "Of course, I think I will have to bedazzle mine a little." I shook my head at her. Only Alice would bedazzle a football jersey. I looked over at Em and I could tell he was a little choked up at the support from the whole family. He went over to Alice and gave her a big hug, lifting her up as her legs swayed back and forth in the air.
"Thanks, Alice. This really means a lot." He said as he put her down. Everybody agreed that the jerseys would become their Sunday garments during the season, even for away games. I was so happy for Em, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I felt Edward lift my hand to his mouth and kiss me before leaning in and whispering in my ear.
"You are so beautiful." I bit back a moan as his breath caressed my ear.
Don't jump him and cause a scene, Bella. This is a family affair.
I managed to contain myself and helped clean up. I refused to let Esme try to argue that she could take care of it. When we were finished, Em and Rose were walking in to let me know they were leaving. I gave Em a big hug, knowing I wouldn't get to see him for awhile. He had his first preseason game in a week, but it was away. I would have to make due with seeing him on TV. I think it made him uneasy being away from me and Rose for two weeks. I hadn't been apart from my brother for that long since he was a freshman in college. But, I also knew he was, at least in part, happy that I was living with Edward. Rose had talked with me a little while we were in the kitchen, letting me know that Edward had come to them on Monday night to ask for their blessing for him to propose to me. I love that man. So, Em had little to be concerned about since he knew Edward was a natural worrier, making his protective side very finely tuned. Rose and I agreed to get together a lot over the week. I was exhausted as I waved bye to them. Edward came up and hugged me from behind, kissing the top of my head.
"You look beat, baby. Are you ready to go home?" He asked me softly.
"Yes. I am about to fall over. I need sleep." I told him and he nodded. He held me close to him by my waist as we made a quick lap through the rest of the family, saying goodnight. He finally got us out of the house and put me in the car. I had so much to talk to him about, but I didn't know if I could keep my eyes open. I grabbed his hand to hold as he started driving home.
"So, we need to decide a few things about the wedding because Alice is already chomping at the bit to start planning." I told him.
"Love, I don't want you to feel pressured to do anything you don't want to. I will tell Alice to back off." I could hear the concern in his voice.
"No, Edward. Don't do that. I actually admit that she is probably the best person to do this kind of thing. I would have no idea where to even start since I've never planned much of any kind of celebration, let alone a wedding." I did want Alice's help. "I guess we just need to start deciding things like dates and locations." He glanced over at me as I paused. "Did you have a date in mind? I know we just got engaged, so I don't want to assume anything. Did you want a long engagement?" I asked him.
"Bella, we could elope tomorrow and I would be the happiest man in the world. I am ready to marry you as soon as you want to do it." He kissed my hand. "I know you start school in about a month. Did you want to have a wedding before you start back? Or, maybe there is a fall vacation time? Or maybe over Christmas break? I swear I will be happy with whatever you decide, although if I were being honest…the sooner the better for me." He smiled. He's so beautiful when he smiles.
"Well, I think there would be some pretty disappointed relatives if we snuck off tomorrow and eloped." I said laughing. "But, I would be lying if I said I didn't want to marry you as soon as possible. I want to be your wife." He seemed to swallow a lump in his throat.
"Why don't we go home and get a good night's sleep and then tomorrow evening you and I will sit down and figure out the date and location. From there, Alice will probably have a good idea where to go. Does that sound good?" I nodded to him as he looked over.
"That sounds great. I told her I preferred it to be small and intimate anyway. I definitely don't need anything extravagant, nor do I have hordes of people that will be vying for an invitation from me." I chuckled a little. I only knew four people I would invite for sure, and two of those were Em and Rose.
"Just remember, the elopement is still on the table. Vegas never sleeps." He teased and we both laughed.
That night, my Edward and I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep in minutes, with me nuzzled warmly against the love of my life. I dreamed of him wearing another tux. Only this one was at our wedding.
AN2: I put a little bit of a timeline in this chapter. I have left out a specific year, but at this point, the couple has been together for three weeks.
As usual, thank you to those of you that have reviewed my story, especially those that have reviewed each chapter. This was the last of my pre-written chapters, so I will be updating less frequently than the daily pace I have so far. I still plan on getting chapters out every 3-7 days or so.
