Trick or Treat
BPOV
One of the first things Edward did when we moved in completely was to have the newest and safest security system installed. Unfortunately, I had already inadvertently set it off multiple times and we had only been in the new house for a couple weeks. I was fairly sure that the security company and the local police force were already tired of me. Other than my misfortunes with the security system, we were adjusting well to living in our new home.
While Edward was at work, I arranged and re-arranged the study so that it was exactly as I wanted it. I loved the space. Edward and I continued the tradition we started at the apartment and kept two separate desks so we each had our own place to work and read. But, the study in the house was much larger. Alice had helped me find a long comfy leather couch and a few reclining chairs that were set up around the room. I loved that there was another fireplace, carved into the only wall not containing shelves for all of our books, making the perfect environment for curling up and reading. There was still a lot of shelving space to fill with new books and I couldn't wait to head out to shop for more.
Aside from working on the house, one of my recent goals was to call Angela and Jacob, letting them both know about the move, my new address, and most importantly to tell them about the twins. It also gave me the opportunity to find out if Jake had heard any rumors about Charlie back in Forks. Jake sounded surprised when he answered my call.
"Bella?"
"Hey, Jake. How are you?"
"I'm good. Staying busy, as always. How are you doing? Married life treating you well?"
"Yeah, it is." I didn't want to mention the baby at that point, figuring it would be best if I eased into that particular subject. "So, how is Forks? How are your father and Leah?"
"Dad's fine. Bitching, as usual. Leah and I decided to move in together. Things are going well between us and you never know, maybe you will be coming back home for my wedding soon." I smiled at his words, even if it was hard for me to imagine Jake all snazzed up in a suit or tuxedo.
"I'm so happy for you, Jake. Leah is terrific."
"She's great. We are having a lot of fun." He paused before speaking again. "So, what's up Bells? Nothing's wrong, right?"
"Can't I just catch up with one of my oldest and best friends?" I teased and he laughed. I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. "Well, I do have some news for you. I'm pregnant….with twins. Oh, and Edward and I just moved to a big house in the suburbs."
He didn't say anything for a moment and I started to wonder if he got disconnected. "Jake?"
"Sorry, just…wow. You guys really don't waste any time, do you?" I knew he was joking, but there was an underlying tone that made me uneasy.
"You know he and I are on the fast track," I joked, trying to lighten the message.
"You definitely are. So, you have the husband, the kids, and the picket fence; are you happy?" He saw me at my wedding. He knows how much Edward makes me happy.
"I'm happier than I have ever been." I told him truthfully.
"I hope you are," he said softly. Was that it? I didn't even get a "congratulations, you're pregnant"?
"Jake, is there something you aren't saying? I figured you would be happy for me."
"I am, Bella. I am happy for you. I just care about you and I hope this fairytale you are living has a good ending."
It hit me then. He didn't believe Edward and I were going to make it. He came to the wedding, he met my new family, he smiled and participated, and the entire time he never thought it would last. He didn't think I was good enough for Edward; that I was simply a phase in his life and he would leave me sooner or later. I felt my eyes welling up and knew it wouldn't be long before the tears flowed. I was too angry to share my tears with Jake. What kind of a friend was he?
"Jacob, someone is calling in. I need to take this. I will talk to you later. Bye." I hung up before he could say another word. I threw the phone, which proceeded to break into several pieces when it hit the hard floor.
I sat on the couch for awhile, crying in frustration; mad at Jake and mad at myself for getting so upset. I heard the house phone line ringing and I ignored it. I knew it was Edward, but I didn't want him to hear me crying. I decided to call him when I had calmed down. I made myself some tea and grabbed some cookies, walking to the den to wallow in front of the TV. I barely paid attention to the awful soap operas and talk shows, lying back and pulling the decorative blanket over me.
The next thing I knew, my eyes opened to see Edward sitting on the floor in front of me. He was brushing my hair off my face, watching me with his gorgeous, green eyes. All I saw when I stared at his face was love.
Jacob was a fool.
"Why have you been crying?" He asked, leaning forward to kiss my eyelids, then my nose, and finally my lips. I sighed, wondering if I should say anything. Then I remembered I had asked him to be honest with me, so I should give him the same courtesy.
"I called Jacob earlier to tell him about the pregnancy and our moving to the new house. He said a couple things that upset me. I may just be overreacting." I smiled at him. "You know me and my hormones," I joked, wanting to ease the mood because I saw his angry expression.
"What did he say?" I proceeded to tell him the entire conversation. His eyes stayed on mine the whole time, yet he seemed to lose his anger as I continued talking.
"So, then I came in here and fell asleep," I finished. He picked up a piece of my shattered phone.
"When did this happen?"
"Right after I hung up." I laughed and he smiled before kissing me again.
"Well, my honest opinion is that his hesitance about us was more about me and not you. He doesn't know me and probably doesn't think I am good enough for you." I snorted in response to Edward's theory.
"Then he's more of a fool than I already pegged him for." Edward shook his head, brushing his thumb over my lips.
"No, he would be right on that account. You are too good for me, but I'm so happy you picked me anyway. Now, I have you forever." My breath caught from his words. It didn't seem possible for me to love him any more than I already did, yet these moments with him proved it was possible.
I sat up and gripped the front of his shirt, pulling him toward me. He rose to his knees, making our faces level. My hands slid around his neck and I leaned into him, telling him how much I loved him with my kisses.
"I love you, too," he said with his lips still pressed to mine. Both of us smiled. My lips moved along his jaw, nipping lightly until I reached his ear. I took a little nibble before my tongue took a path down his neck and back up again. He shivered slightly when I blew a gust of air over the wet trail. My fingers went to the front of his shirt, working to unbutton it. I tilted my head to the side when his lips found my neck, giving him more places to kiss.
"You should call Rose in a little while," he murmured against my skin while his hands snuck under my shirt, pulling it up and off.
"Why is that?" I finished unbuttoning his shirt and pulled it off. His hands returned to me, slipping my jeans and panties off.
"She's worried because she received a bunch of phone calls from Jacob, who evidently was upset when you wouldn't pick up the phone after hanging up. She tried to call the house phone, but you didn't answer," he explained. I had been able to get his pants and boxers tugged down, my hand gripping and stroking him between us. My lips returned to his neck, placing reverent kisses.
"I fell asleep," I said, while he pulled my thighs toward him, until our bodies were pressed together.
"You fell asleep." I felt his fingers glide along my skin, before slipping inside me. His darkened green eyes stared into mine before he kissed me again. "So wet, baby."
"Yes," I breathed out.
"I was worried, too. I tried to call." I felt him remove his fingers and guide his cock inside me, pushing in fully.
"Oh…ah…my phone broke. I was going to call, but I fell asleep." It was hard for me to form complete thoughts while his hands gripped my hips, his cock driving into me deeply.
"Will you…fuck, you feel so good…will you pick up another phone tomorrow?" He finally got his question out in between moans, his thrusts coming even more forcefully.
"Yes…oh, God…yes…tomorrow." Our dialogue switched entirely to grunts and moans at that point.
Our bodies moved together until we were both sated from completion. We lay together on the couch afterward, snuggling and kissing and whispering until our stomachs growled from hunger. I slipped into Edward's shirt while he put on his boxers and he helped me make some tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I did end up calling Rose after our half-dressed dinner and before we settled down for a movie and some more snuggling on the couch. Edward always knew how to turn a bad day into a good one.
The following morning I was busy decorating for Halloween. Although our house sat back off the main road and was relatively secluded, there was an off-chance we may get a few trick-or-treaters. Since Halloween fell on a Monday this year, we were going out to an adult party on Sunday night and then staying home to hand out candy on Monday…just in case.
Later that day, after picking up a new phone, Rose and I found a local farmer's market and bought several large pumpkins. I was so excited to start carving them up, not having performed that tradition since before my father died. We bought enough so that Alice, Jasper, Emmett, and Edward could also join in the carving party that evening. Rose asked me about my conversation with Jacob and I gave her a brief overview before saying I didn't want to talk about it anymore. I would eventually call him, but I needed to think over his words further before speaking to him again.
After shopping, Rose and I put together dinner for the six of us at my house. It was the first time I had prepared a large meal in our new home and I loved every minute of it. We made something easy, spaghetti and meatballs, so that we had plenty of time to set up the pumpkin carving stations outside. Alice came over before any of the guys arrived, bringing us our costumes that we would be wearing on Sunday night. I grabbed the bag with mine and Edward's costumes as soon as she walked in. I quickly unzipped it, eager to see what she had designed. My mouth fell open when I pulled mine out.
"Alice, what in the world?" She laughed at my shocked expression.
"You are both going as vampires." I picked up the thigh-high black boots. I didn't know vampires wore stripper boots.
"Edward isn't going to want to leave the house if I wear these." I was being completely serious. I may have to put them on in the car on the way to the party.
"Don't show him until the last minute," She suggested. I held up the cute little dress with the very short skirt up to my body. I groaned.
"Are you sure this isn't going to be too….um….slutty for the party we are going to?" I knew Edward's parents would be there, plus the rest of the Chicago elite.
"It's Halloween! It's the one day of the year that it is perfectly acceptable to dress slutty in public." Alice giggled as she gave her explanation. My mind was still rebelling against the idea of my big belly in this little outfit.
"Alice, how am I going to look decent in this? I'm too pregnant to wear something this tiny." She huffed and came over to grab it from me.
"No, look. It cinches a little higher. You won't look pregnant at all. Trust me. Have I ever led you wrong yet?" I looked over to Rose for help, but she was too busy oohing and ahhing over her sexy cavegirl dress. I decided I would hold off my opinion until I at least tried it on. Besides, I didn't want to hurt Alice's feelings if I looked like a whale in this cute dress.
"Alright, you win." She simply grinned victoriously as I zipped up the costumes again and placed them in the hall closet. I turned back to her. "What are you and Jasper wearing?"
"Cowboy and cowgirl, of course," she told me with a wink. Jasper did love to play up his Texas heritage. Rose finally put away their costumes and the three of us went back to the kitchen. I made some tea, vaguely listening to them as they chatted away. My ears perked up when Alice was telling her who would be at the Halloween party. I knew it would be a lot of the same society people that we always seem to run into at functions.
"Are those whores that hurt Bella going to be there?" Rose asked Alice.
"Probably," Alice replied.
"Good," Rose said viciously.
"Rose, promise me you won't make a scene. I don't want to even acknowledge them. It's better if I just forget they exist." I gave her a pleading look.
"Bella, don't worry about anything, you won't be involved in any scenes," she paused and smirked at me, "unless you and Edward start making out on the dance floor or something." I stuck my tongue out at her and turned back around to stir the sauce. The truth was that scenario was highly likely if I really thought about it. Edward had no qualms about being affectionate in public.
Soon after the three of us finished our tea, Edward got home from work; followed by the arrival of Jasper and Emmett. As soon as the guys walked in, Rose sent them out to carry the gigantic pumpkins to the back patio. While I finished putting dinner together, I noticed Edward and Jasper sparring with their pumpkins outside the window. They really were just grown boys. I opened the sliding door and glared out at them.
"If you two drop those and smash them all over the place, you are going to be sorry." Where did that come from? I must have been channeling June Cleaver, or perhaps inner good girl was out of control.
"Yes, Mommy Dearest," Jasper joked, before setting his pumpkin down on the newspaper we had laid out. Edward simply looked turned on as he set his pumpkin on the ground and stalked over to me. I heard the groans around us when he bent me backwards with a searing kiss.
"Mean Mommy is hot," he whispered in my ear. The man could literally make me forget why I was upset.
"We have an audience," I pointed out.
"Don't care." I chuckled at him. I thought Rose's prediction from earlier looked more and more likely.
"Come on, let's go have dinner." We could continue that later. Definitely. He groaned and released his grip on me, a sheepish smile forming on his face when he noticed Emmett giving him the evil eye.
"You two should position your pumpkins so they are humping each other. You know, art imitates life," Jasper chimed in. Emmett punched his arm, while I giggled.
"That's my sister you're talking about," Em growled.
"Dude, that fucking hurt," Jasper whined, rubbing his arm. "It's not my fault your sister's a nympho," he grumbled under his breath.
Jasper knew his mouth got him in trouble when he saw Emmett turn back toward him and lunge. The chase was on. We all stood by to watch Emmett trailing Jasper around the yard, trying to tackle him. The entire time Jasper was screaming out "Sorry!" or "Uncle!" or "Don't kill me!" I thought I was going to pee my pants from laughing so hard at the scene and Edward was practically rolling on the ground. Alice and Rose were shaking their heads and giggling at their men.
"Emmett, quit chasing Jasper and come in for dinner," Rose shouted out eventually. "He has a point, you know." I gave her a glare when she elbowed me, letting me know she was joking. They just didn't understand. When you add my hormones and Edward being a sex god, we couldn't be expected to be chaste and proper all the time.
Everyone finally did calm down and we enjoyed our dinner together. I smiled as I looked around the table at the happy, engaged faces. At times, it was hard to believe that we all came together only four months ago when it appeared as if we had been friends forever.
After everyone was full, I pulled out the carving supplies I had picked up and gave everyone their own set as we gathered around our pumpkins. I made sure to bring out a large bowl to save the pumpkin meat and seeds. It was fun to see which stencils each one of them chose to carve out. I went the traditional route, selecting a scary face for my pumpkin.
We had a blast, working on our designs together. I glanced over at Edward often, his tongue sticking slightly out of his mouth as he concentrated on making his carving perfect. He was so adorable. When each person finished, I gave them their own individual light to put inside and we lined up our pumpkins in a row to admire.
I thought mine was the best.
When the others left for home with their pumpkins, Edward and I placed ours out near the front door.
"They look great," he said, hugging me to him.
"Yes, they do. I had so much fun tonight," I told him, snuggling further into his embrace. He kissed the top of my head.
"Did Alice bring our costumes over?" He asked as we walked back inside. I turned to grin at him.
"Yes, but you can't see until Sunday." I wanted him to get the full effect of my costume just before we left for the party.
"Come on, Bella. Let me see," he begged.
"Nope."
"Please?" His whiny voice was not going to get him what he wanted that night. I shook my head.
"Fine. Just tell me one thing. She's not putting me in tights, is she?" I started laughing.
"No, you are safe from tights." My admission put a smile back on his face and I squealed when he scooped me up and carried me upstairs to our bed.

The nice thing about moving into a new home is that there are always plenty of projects to keep your mind occupied. Bella and I were awaiting news from Marcus regarding the trials of the former DA that charged James and the claims against the public defender for misrepresentation and collusion. We knew that as soon as those trials were over, which would be within the next week or so, Bella would likely be contacted by the new DA. So, instead of dwelling on the inevitable, I tried to put it aside and enjoy our first week in our new abode.
It helped that we were nearing the holiday season, and seeing Bella get into the spirit with her Halloween decorating was entertaining. I had doubts that we would get any trick-or-treaters at our door, but the entryway was still complete with cornhusks, orange and black ribbons, and of course our carved pumpkins. It had been fun watching Bella excited about the carving party. I think it served her well to act like a kid at times. I often forgot that she was only twenty-one, when she usually behaved older than I did.
That is why it surprised me when she wrote Jacob off so quickly during and after their conversation. I supposed I could see her point that he went through the motions of attending our wedding, yet didn't believe we would make it. However, I truly believed his doubts lay in my intentions and not Bella's belief that he thought she was beneath me. No fucking way. He's not even that stupid. Bella didn't want to address the issue of Jacob since that night and I hadn't brought it up again. He would be lucky if I didn't punch him if we saw one another again in the future, not only for upsetting Bella, but also for doubting my love for her. Asshole. But, no matter how angry I was at his stupidity, I didn't want to see Bella hurt by one of the few people in the world that she considered a friend. I would eventually try to convince her to give him a chance to apologize.
Once Sunday rolled around, we were in full Halloween mode. Bella and I got up early because the Bears were playing at noon. As we dressed in our jerseys, I panicked when I saw Bella suddenly stop and place her hand over her abdomen.
"Bella, what is it?" I asked, rushing to her side.
"I think I felt the babies move…or one of them. I'm not sure." I placed my hand on her belly, knowing full well that I wouldn't be able to feel the babies move for another couple weeks. But, Bella could on the inside. Her mouth was turned up in a sappy grin and I couldn't resist leaning down and kissing it.
"Tell me what it felt like," I asked.
"Just like the books describe, a sort of fluttering," she explained before bursting into abrupt tears. I picked her up in my arms and carried her to the bed, keeping her in my lap as I sat down.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I brushed her hair from her face and handed her a tissue.
"I was scared, Edward." She said between sobs. I was learning to roll with the mood swings. I figured I would be a pro by the time the nine months ended. She hiccupped and kept talking when I started rubbing her back. "I hadn't felt anything at all and I kept reading about women feeling their babies moving way before sixteen weeks. I was scared something was wrong." I hugged her tight to me. I reminded myself not to lecture her about every woman being different and that she should have brought up the fears with Emily at the appointment a couple weeks ago.
Just support her and don't be an asshole.
I put my hand back over her belly and smiled at her. She smiled back, her big brown eyes still watery with tears.
"I can't wait until I get to feel the babies, too," I said, kissing her nose.
I eventually got her dressed and we made our way to the stadium. Bella glowed as she told the family about feeling the babies. Dad came over to slap me on the back, while Bella had mom, Alice, Rose, and my grandmothers occupied.
"How are you doing, son?" I'm pretty sure I heard a snicker.
"Fine. Everything is fine."
"You look a little frazzled." Maybe I wasn't rolling with the mood swings as well as I thought?
"I have to agree with him," Jasper said with a grin.
"Fuck you."
"Language!" The scream came from my mom and both grandmothers simultaneously from across the room. How the hell did they even hear me?
"Bella is over there telling them how you let her cry on your lap this morning. You are smarter than I was. I remember your mom bursting into tears once while she was carrying you. I can't even remember why, but the point is that I said something stupid instead of just holding her and letting her cry. Believe me, you do not want to see what happens then," dad said in a low voice. What could it be? Spontaneous combustion? Would her eyes shoot flames at me? Would her head spin 360 degrees?
But, he didn't tell me any more details, saying I had to learn on my own. It was a rite of passage.
Whatever the hell that was supposed to mean.
After watching the Bears beat the Vikings in a rout, we all went our separate ways. There was no family dinner that night due to the Halloween party. I took Bella home and we fell asleep together on the couch, her sprawled out on top of me. I woke up a little over an hour later, probably due to Bella snoring in my ear. But I lay still, not wanting to bother her, so she could get a longer nap. She tended to get exhausted easily, which was common when carrying twins, and I didn't want her to overdo it with both the game and the party. I got to watch most of the afternoon football game on the TV before she woke up.
"Is that the time, Edward? Is it really after seven?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Yeah, don't worry. We can be fashionably late." I didn't even really want to go at all and would have much preferred to stay lying there with Bella all night. I hated these functions where you have to spend the entire time kissing someone's ass or trying not to be bored. Bella obviously didn't feel the same because she jumped up off me and ran to go get ready. I sighed, turning off the TV and following her up the stairs to get into my costume, which I hoped didn't make me look ridiculous.
"Edward, I laid out your costume on the bed, you get dressed and I will meet you downstairs in a few minutes," Bella yelled from the bathroom. I didn't ask any questions and just did what she wanted.
I looked at the costume Alice had picked out and grinned a little. A vampire was actually somewhat cool. At least she didn't dress me up as Peter Pan or a pirate. I slipped on the black pants and shirt, before using the gel laid out for me to slick my hair back. After putting on some shoes, I tied the cape around me and checked myself out in the mirror.
Not too bad.
It was simple with no frills. I would thank Alice later. Luckily, I was naturally pale so it went with the undead theme. I put the fake teeth in and grinned. The fangs were a little much and would likely spend most of the night in my pocket. Besides, it would be hard to kiss my Bella with those teeth sticking out. I began to wonder what her costume would look like. Would she be my helpless victim; or maybe a sexy succubus? I wanted to peek around the corner and find out, but didn't want to enrage Mean Mommy before we left.
"OK, I'm going downstairs now," I called out.
"I will only be about five more minutes. Go have a drink or something," she replied through the door. I chuckled and went downstairs. Five minutes turned into fifteen and I was engrossed in a game on my phone when Bella finally came downstairs. She cleared her throat and I looked up. My mouth hit the floor and my cock almost jumped out of my pants to get to her.
Sweet baby Jesus, she was trying to kill me.
"Wha…" There wasn't enough blood left in my brain for me to complete a word. My eyes raked over her again, taking in the heeled black boots that went up above her knees, the black dress with tiny straps over her shoulders which fell down far enough to cover her ass and not much else, and up to her face and hair. She had made up her eyes to look even bigger and darker than normal and did something to her hair which made it look thicker than usual. Finally, those plump lips were blood red. My cock twitched. I wanted to take a bite out of them right then, and some other places too. She stood there smirking at me, fully allowing my unashamed gawking to continue. I heard a whimper when she tied the cape on.
Oh, that was me.
"Come on, Edward. We are already late." Fuck the party. I wanted my hands under that skirt as soon as possible. I stood up and moved quickly toward her. She must have seen my predatory expression because she held her hand up in front of her to halt me.
Cockblocked by Elvira.
Instead she grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the garage. My eyes watched her ass sway in the skirt while she worked those boots. I'm sure I was drooling. I followed her around the car and watched as she got in and sat down in the passenger seat. When she closed her door, I continued standing there like a moronic statue. I watched her reach over and start the ignition, before rolling down her window.
"Edward, get in the car." I nodded and walked around the car to drive. I sat down and looked over at her. She chuckled at me. "Are you going to be alright or do I need to drive?" I yelled at my cock to release some blood back to my brain and shook my head trying to clear it a little from her charms. It didn't help that her exposed thighs were begging for attention in my peripheral vision. I growled as I hit the garage door opener. Once we were on the road, I couldn't resist any longer. My hand reached over the console, rubbing her thigh.
"Do you have any idea how much I want you right now?" I looked over to see her eyes widen and her mouth open. I knew she was about to bite her lip. I shook my head. "Bella, I swear if you bite your lip, I am pulling this car over right now." I heard a small squeak come from her as my fingers traveled up the inside of her thigh to brush her pussy. Fuck, she's already wet. There was no way I was going to last through a party. I would have to find some space behind a locked door at some point soon.
It didn't take us long to get there and I pulled my fingers out of her panties just as we pulled up to the valet. Bella watched me as I put them in my mouth to suck clean before we got out. As soon as my door was opened I bolted around the car to help her out. I pulled her close to me as we started walking toward the door.
"I am going to fuck you so hard tonight. Probably a few times," I whispered in her ear. She answered in a soft moan as we walked in the door. The party was at the mansion of Jonathan Mitchell. He was a friend of my father and mother. The hostess greeted us at the door, giving us directions where to find the ballroom, the outdoor veranda, and the bars. Bella admired the decorations as we walked toward the other guests. The party was obviously in full swing and it was interesting seeing some of my acquaintances drunk and in costume. We were offered glasses of champagne as we walked into the ballroom, both of us declining. I wouldn't drink if I was driving Bella and our babies around.
We had barely walked in when Rose and Emmett strode up. I laughed at Emmett's caveman costume.
"Nice club," I mocked.
"That's what she said," he replied, before we both started laughing. Bella and Rose only rolled their eyes.
"Bella, I need you," Rose said, pulling her out of my grasp. I growled again watching Bella walking away in those boots.
"Dude, quit eye-fucking my little sister."
I'm going to be doing more than that to her soon.
I looked over and saw his glare, realizing I must have said that out loud. I shrugged. I couldn't apologize for wanting to ravish my wife. Emmett and I stood around making fun of some of the costumes, Jasper coming over to join us a little later. I was glad they were there, because I would have been bored out of my mind otherwise. I could schmooze if I had to, but I detested the phoniness of some of the people loitering around that room. I had grown up watching the same scenes over and over. Although my parents had taught me the importance of some connections, they had also instilled a sense of individuality and generosity in both Alice and me, and I would forever be grateful for it. I wanted my children to grow up wanting to carve their own paths and not succumb to the evil side of the riches they would be privileged with.
Speaking of spoiled, rich bitches.
My eyes narrowed as I saw Kristina Hamilton and Caroline Montgomery standing off to the side, whispering to each other. I followed the target of their focus and saw my Bella and Rose being introduced to some people by my father. My feet immediately started a path toward the vapid bitches. I would bring the house down around them before I allowed them to hurt Bella again. Before I could reach them, I felt a grip around my arm stopping my progress. I almost snarled at whoever was holding me back, but relaxed when I looked to see my mother's face.
"Don't, Edward." She shook her head and frowned, looking over at where I had been headed.
"They are plotting something, mom. Just look at them."
"I know. It's being taken care of. Trust me."
I granted her request, but took her arm to lead her over to dad, Bella, and Rose. I didn't want to leave Bella's side the rest of the night, just in case. I greeted dad's friends cordially before pulling Bella into a slow dance. I loved having her in my arms. Luckily her cape covered for me when my hands "accidently" slipped a little lower than her waist. Her heeled boots gave her a bit more height, and my cock twitched every time she breathed on my neck as we danced.
"Get a room you two," Alice joked as she and Jasper danced by. I thought that was a perfect idea. I grinned wickedly at Bella before pulling her away from the dance floor. I looked around and picked a direction that looked secluded. I smiled when I heard Bella's giggle erupt as she followed me. I eventually found a bathroom and my cock jumped for joy as my arms gripped Bella and pulled her in. I had barely locked the door before she was placed up on the counter, and I was kissing away at her pouty, red mouth.
My hands slid up her thighs and under her skirt, her moans released when my thumb rubbed her clit through her soaked panties. Her head fell back as my thumb circled, giving me access to nibble her exposed neck.
"Edward, please."
"What do you want, Bella?"
"Fuck me."
With those magic words, I unbuttoned my pants and pulled out my cock, stroking it a couple times. I moved her panties to the side and rubbed my cock up and down her wet flesh. I lifted one of her legs, placing her calf on my shoulder. She bit her lip and opened her eyes, locking them on mine. I slid inside her, leaning forward to kiss her again.
"This is going to be quick, Love."
And it was. It was fortunate the music was loud because we didn't hold back much in voicing our pleasure as I pounded into her. She was so tight and wet; I knew I wasn't going to last long. Within minutes, both of us came hard; the sexual energy of the evening and our attire catalyzing our orgasms. I kissed her as we rode our highs, loving the way she sighed contentedly after she came.
We eventually returned to the party, but our rumpled appearance and flushed faces didn't leave much to the imagination about what we'd been up to.
Rose smirked at us when we entered the ballroom again, before pulling us aside to give us news.
"You two missed the scene of the night," she said triumphantly. "The two whores were dragged out by their fathers. Apparently, some threats were made to business deals they were involved in and it was brought up that their daughters were embarrassments and were no longer welcome here or at functions in the future."
I laughed knowing there were only two things important to most of the people in this room: money and reputation. Whoever or wherever the threats came from, they obviously knew the reactions they would get. I looked over and saw my parents talking with another couple. My father met my eyes and winked. I glanced down and noticed the smile gracing Bella's face, glad to see she wasn't bothered with more revenge even if it didn't come by her hand.
We didn't stay much longer at the party since Bella's hands kept roaming about under my cape, making me harder than a rock again. We barely made it inside the house before round two started. Round three came soon after.
Those boots stayed on her legs the entire time.
The following night, we stayed in and I watched Bella's eager face as she filled up a large bowl with candy to hand out. I didn't want to crush her hopes and tell her it wasn't likely we would get little visitors. She looked too happy.
I was shocked when the doorbell rang, watching Bella squeal and jump up to run to the door. I stood and leaned in the doorway, watching her face as she talked to the two children and their mom. Bella asked the kids questions about their costumes and then their mom introduced them and herself. Apparently she was a friend of Alice, who told her we had just moved in and would have lots of good candy for her kids.
I am going to have to buy Alice a very large gift.
Not only did Bella get to meet a new neighbor, the lady also asked for a lunch date with Bella in the coming week so they could talk more. I hugged Bella close as she chatted away about the cute kids after closing the door.
The bell rang three more times that night, each with the same result. Bella was giddy and I was simply glad that she seemed to be gaining a broader network of friends, or at least acquaintances. And I knew Alice would have only sent over families she knew were decent people.
All in all, it was a great couple weeks in our new home. My time working at the hospital was coming to a close the next day, and Bella and I were moving into the next phase of our lives.
I was truly happy.
AN: Did you like seeing Bella be able to act like a kid? What are your thoughts about Jacob? Does Edward need to learn some self-control? Hehehe.
Edward and Bella are going to start talking baby names soon. Any ideas?

I am so excited at how much love this story has gotten. I appreciate all your reviews, thoughts, and tags! I did want to let you know that I will be re-vamping each of the chapters that have not been beta'd. I will just be replacing chapters with fixed ones so there will be no time when the story is taken down. Much love goes out to Perry Maxwell and Jen for their help in this process. Check out Perry's new story called Unrequited!
