Chapter 12: Discomfited

Grimmjow woke before the child arrancar was even in the room. Looking over at the child, he wanted to blast it into the next week so he could get more sleep since he barely got any. Glaring at the lesser being, he sat up even if he felt a tug on his wrist from Tora sleeping on the floor. "What do you want?"

"Aizen-sama has requested that you and Tora be in his throne room. He requests your presence."

Grimmjow nodded and waved the child to leave. He wasn't told that he had a time limit so he can lay there for a few and see if he could get some more sleep. He didn't care what Aizen wanted, the espada just wanted to get whatever Madoka had going on, gone. Sitting up a little more, he glanced down at the side of his bed.

Tora was curled up in a ball, similar to one of a cat when its sleep. He almost expected her to start purring up a storm with contentment with the pillow he gave her nestled between her arm and head. Rolling his eyes, he continued to watch the lesser arrancar slumber. Why did he feel almost warm inside? He had no heart so he shouldn't care for someone that held her head too high like Tora.

Falling back into the mass of pillows, the sexta espada stared at the ceiling with his light blue eyes. Why did it have to be this way of solving their problems? Looking away from the white ceiling that could drive any sane person to insanity, he looked to the wall. "Dammit Madoka."

Rising out of bed, he stepped over the ball of arrancar. Nudging the verde eyed arrancar with his foot, Grimmjow watched as she stirred and looked around with one eye open. A loud yawn escaped her, almost as if she was trying to intimidate her enemy.

"Why'd you wake me up? I was having a really nice dream about cat nip and this big ball of yarn. Then there was a huge chunk of meat that was just for me." Tora ranted as she looked up at the espada. Blinking lazily, she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, he started to drag her out of the room. He rather see whatever that bastard wanted and try to figure out what Madoka wanted them to do. He barely heard any of her complaining even as her nails dug into his calf. Stopping quickly, he glared down at the arrancar that was about to draw blood. "Do you really want to do that Chibi?"

"Quit dragging me around then. I'm not a stuff animal that some kid would use." Tora hissed as she jumped to her feet and tried to get into his face the best she could. It was an excuse to be close to the guy that could kill her if he ever found out how she felt about him. Shaking her head, feeling the feather touches of her bangs, the arrancar stepped away and took a deep breath. "Let's go."

She was silent for the rest of way as they crossed the desert that separated the palaces. It seemed better then putting them together because of the fact that Nnoitora freaked her out every time she was even near the room he was in. "Where are we going anyway?"

"Aizen wants to see us because of something." Grimmjow grumbled as he tried to figure out why the man that helped him achieve the next level of being a vasto lordes wanted to see him and Chibi. It didn't make any sense so he tried concentrating on trying to figure out how to get the handcuffs off the both of them.

She nodded and looked at the last bit of sky before they headed into the building where she could feel the authority that told her that Aizen was in the structure. Her verde eyes wondered everywhere since this was the usual place that she slept in since Madoka insists that she sleep at the main building. Hearing the doors open, she broke out of her thoughts that were about her relationship with the shinigami female, to follow the espada into the room. Inside it felt like she could choke from how much spiritual pressure was in the room.

They kneeled before him, showing him that he was the head of them. Tora kept her head bowed while Grimmjow looked up at the brunette man that was once a captain in the Soul Society.

"You wanted to see us Aizen-sama?" Tora inquired as she finally looked up at the man that used the hôgyokû to get them to where they were today in evolving. She bowed her head a little at the man that could kill her if she did anything to anger him.

"Yes, I did. I have a mission for you both since you guys are tied up." Aizen chuckled and stood from the chair he was in. Walking down a few steps, he stopped and looked at the two. "There's a group of hollows that think they can take down the espada and arrancars so they can become top dog. Eliminate them."

Noticing the acid that was on the last sentence, she met his cold stare and stood when the espada next to her did.

"Yes Aizen-sama." They said in unison and bowed quickly.

As the two stepped out of the room, Madoka popped in and stood beside the man that had everything planned out. "Are they behaving?"

"Perfectly. I just want to see how this plays out though." Aizen thought out loud and started to the control room where Gin probably was.

Tora wasn't sure when they left the building to be in sand but she was reminded how much she hated it. Growling to herself, she slipped her sandals off and hanged them off her hilt of her zanpaku-to.

Grimmjow didn't want to growl at the female arrancar that was following behind him. Every time he stopped for her, it felt like the sand was trying to consume him and take him below where the menos were. Blinking, he stopped once more and looked at the sky. Hopefully they got there before night fell.

Glaring at the sand that seemed to be the number one enemy at the moment, Tora tried to keep up with Grimmjow's longer strides without having to jog to keep up. Looking around for the targets that they were sent on, she found nothing but dead trees and sand. "I hate sand."

Grimmjow heard her grumble under her breath. Looking back at the brunette haired arrancar that was shorter then he was, he wasn't sure why but it seemed like his body just started to slow down. He wanted to keep going so he could find them and get it over with.

"Where the hell are you stupid hollows at?" Tora screamed into the dusk sky with her arms by her side. Glaring at the darkening sky, she sat down with a flop and folded her arms like a spoiled child.

"We might as well set up camp here for now." Grimmjow hissed since it wasn't in his plans to stay out in the desert. Even if it brought back memories of when he was an adjucha. Glancing over at the shorter arrancar that seemed to be annoyed over the fact that she wasn't going to her own bed, he smirked a little. It was funny to see her act like that compared to how she was usually.

As night fell, so did the temperature a bit. Tora glared at the moon that was above them. Why did it have to take the temperature with it? Rolling her verde eyes with slanted pupils, the feline arrancar curled up into a ball. "Stupid hollows."

"We were once hollows so don't say that." Grimmjow reminded as he glanced over at the female that he was stuck with. Did she always act like this or was she just as impatient as he was?

Closing her eyes, she tried to get some sleep so she could be fresh for battle if they did find the hollows that were plotting to overthrow everyone. She'll show them.

A soft purr escaped Tora as she laid near the light blue haired espada who was looking at the sky. It seemed like he was almost in the past, looking back at it for something that might be important. All he remembered was when Diroy and the others first bowed down to him. It seemed almost like ages since that happened but also like it was yesterday.

Scratching his arm, Grimmjow's gaze drifted down to the arrancar that was sound asleep again. It seemed like she could sleep forever if she was given the chance. Rolling his light blue eyes at the thought, he knew he wouldn't have any fun. There wouldn't be the excitement he received when he fought against her, even if it was mostly giving her a few broken bones since it seemed like she couldn't do anything. "What happened to your powers Tora?"

Longer then the last few. All the while I was trying to find Diroy and the other's names but I got so lazy and tired of looking through all the shonen jump magazines to find them. So I simply gave up since its pushing one in the morning when I was working on this. Please review.
