Chapter 15: Inhibited
Walking around was the only thing that Tora could do at the moment. There was nothing to do around there, at least in her room. She's already took a nap so she had her burst of energy at the moment. She hasn't even seen Grimmjow around like she usually did. Looking around, the verde eyed arrancar almost expected the man that was on her mind to pop out of nowhere and attack her like usually. That wasn't the case that day.
Shrugging her shoulders, she continued to walk around the palace that was the main building. It was the only place that Aizen and the others would stay in, and being Madoka's subordinate, she also had to.
Something grabbed the thinking arrancar, scaring her into screaming as she was dragged into a room. Looking around, Tora found nothing but darkness until the lights turned on and was seeing Madoka's face in hers. "Madoka-hime? Do-don't scare me like that!"
"Gomen Tora-chan." Madoka stated and pulled away to stare at her subordinate without worrying her or scaring her anymore. Smiling a little, the female shinigami started to pace and look around at the sparing room they were in. She wasn't in the mood for a fight though. "How was that mission from Aizen-sempai?"
"It was . . . nice." Tora paused halfway to look at her knees. Everything about the end before Grimmjow disappeared made her heart flutter as she replayed everything in her mind. She was truly happy now.
Madoka watched as her subordinate looked away from her. Something concerned her about the mission since there was no way to watch what was going on out there. Blinking, Madoka sat down in front of her arrancar friend and smiled a little. "Tell me about it."
"We found them, of course but before I killed them we got into an argument." Tora snickered since it was over something stupid in her eyes. Looking up at her master, the female arrancar looked back at her knees since this was new. She never was in love like she was now. "He said I lost my powers, which I have. I shouldn't be an arrancar if I have no powers to help defend myself. I agree with him that with you rescuing me done that. It's not that I'm blaming you Madoka-hime."
The shinigami nodded and smiled a little more. At least she was realizing what was happening to her. "Continue."
"So we argued over that and like I said, I killed the hollows. They pissed me off for interrupting me and they had to die anyway so I did it. It felt good doing it for Aizen-sama but afterwards, they were gone again." She said and laid back to look at the tall ceiling that gave them enough room to fight if they wanted to.
"What else?" Madoka wondered as she watched as a blush crept its way on her friend's cheeks. Something else happened that she didn't know about from Grimmjow's report. Smirking, she watched as Tora sat up quickly and buried her face in her knees.
"He said I was cute. He never said that about me before so it was so weird hearing it come from Jaegerjaques Grimmjow. It was almost like he was switched out at that moment by someone that looked like him but didn't act like him if that makes any sense."
So that's what was going on, Madoka thought as she scooted over to sit beside her friend. Closing her eyes and resting her head on her friend's shoulder, she continued to smile at the words that told her what she wanted to know. Now she knew why Grimmjow was acting as if he was doing something wrong. It was unusual to see the man act like he was when he was giving the report. "Did you tell him how you feel?"
"Huh?" Tora inquired as she looked at her friend and master. Leaning away so she could see her friend better, seeing a smile that was near similar to Gin's, she started to inch away until her waist was grabbed. "Madoka-hime please."
"Oh no." She said as she tugged her friend back over. Holding her there, she raised an eyebrow at the arrancar woman that was fidgeting with something to keep her gaze away. "You haven't told him! Come on! Tell him about how you feel Tora! He needs to know."
"No, he doesn't. All he'll do is treat me like a weakling because of the feelings. Anyway, someone else like Nnoitora or Szayelaporro could use it against us if they find out. You know how twisted those people are. I don't want to give him a choice if they find out and use me against him." Tora stated, knowing it was something true. "Anyway, I highly doubt that he'll return the feelings I have for him."
"It's worth a try. If you don't try something, then why worry about it. If they do try something like that, I'm not sure if Aizen-sempai would stand for it. I'll have to ask him. But you know I won't stand for it." Madoka insisted as she grabbed her friend's hands. Seeing her look up at the shinigami, a smile graced Madoka's features. "Try."
Tora shook her head. She knew it wouldn't work since it would all go to hell anyway. Once Aizen got what he had planned going on then there would be no time for romance. It wouldn't be worth it. She knew that much.
"Or are you keeping some information from me? Don't tell me you guys are already in a relationship? Naw that is so cute." The female shinigami blurted out. "I can see little Tora's and Grimmjow's crawling around now if you guys can reproduce. I wonder about that. That's another thing I have to bring up to Aizen."
"We're not in a relationship at all Madoka-hime! I wish we were but he won't accept these feelings I have for him because of the fact he's an espada and bloodthirsty. He won't be able to love someone." Tora said with her voice calming down until it was near a whisper. Looking at her knees, she shook her head. He won't know how to love. All arrancar isn't supposed to.
"Tell him. That's an order from me. Tell him how you feel and if you don't I'm gonna lock you in a room with him. Hell I'll even lock you up in his palace until you tell him how you feel. Do it Tora." Madoka ordered with a slight glare in her eyes. Why deny something that was precious, the snow white-haired shinigami wondered as she got up from where she sat.
Tora's gaze followed her master as she walked toward the door. Seeing her turn back, she lowered her gaze.
"Tora-chan look at me. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but you need to stop denying yourself something like it. If it comes down to it, I'll lock you up in his palace and handcuff you to him again. Then you can't find a way to escape." Madoka almost threatened but she knew it wouldn't be fair to do so to her subordinate.
Tora nodded and looked at the door that closed. "I can't tell him. He'll kill me if he thinks I fell for the king that dreams of something bigger. It's just a weak emotion."
