Chapter 27: Impression

She couldn't sleep, as if there was something bothering her. It was like whatever it was was trying to tell her that she should have kept Grimmjow there or else he might get killed. Remembering the spiritual pressures that she felt earlier still scared her, even with the feline hollow curled up next to her as she sat on the bed with the sheet tossed over her body.

Taking a breath and letting it out as a sigh, Tora stared at the ceiling that was a plain white. She could almost picture what might be happening to her beloved. The thought of him being killed by whoever, or even Aizen for not following orders made her body react unusually. She never really felt fear like this before.

Running a hand across her forehead, she took in the cold sweat that broke out, making her wonder what was going on. She shouldn't really be scared for him because he was an espada. Espada can handle the enemy, whoever it might be, but this was someone she holds close. The one that she willingly bed with because she trusted him and had affections for the man.

Laying her head back, feeling the sheet fall to show the start of her bosom, she looked down quickly to see the feline hollow. Why did animals know how to comfort someone? It didn't make any sense, even when Madoka tried to explain it to her. Sighing, she fell farther into the bed. It didn't make any sense to her. Running a hand through the course fur that the creature had, it reminded her that she and the others weren't supposed to exist. They were made from someone that was supposedly outlawed in the Seireitei. The intruders had to be getting it back.

Siting up straight, she stared at the opposite wall. She had to find Grimmjow. She just had to find him or else that worry she was feeling wouldn't leave her. Tossing the sheet and barely missing the feline, she walked over to her clothes and started to get dressed.

If he did do what she thought he did then she was going to go insane. That fear of him dying was hitting her again, making her want to rush with getting dressed. She had to check on him because it might mean life or death for the man. He might not like help but she would offer it if she had to.

Closing her eyes, even if part of her didn't want to, Tora took in the pictures that her imagination was giving her. The sight of him bloody and dying because of the intruders filled her with anger. She wouldn't stand it if someone was going to do that and not put him out of his misery, as if they wanted him to suffer. She would gladly kill them for that.

Looking back at the feline, she tried to smile at it. It was supposed to reassure it but how could she reassure something that she knew next to nothing about. Taking a breath, she rushed out of the room then the palace that belonged to her espada lover. As she neared the larger building, a wave of spiritual pressure hit her, trying to push her back. It almost did but she forced herself to stand her ground. She had to because it might mean life or death for the man she loved. Taking a breath, she rushed on but stopped when another wave of spiritual pressure hit her like a brick wall.

"Grimmjow!" Tora's scream echoed around her but it wasn't answered. It made her feel alone, like she was an adjucha again. Looking around and seeing nothing of enemies that wanted to devour her because of her size, she just saw the endless sand that was made up of a hollow. It was a rumor that she heard because she never saw it or whatever it was.

Moving on, she tried to find his location but she found nothing but waves of pressure that hit her at random times. They were spaced enough for her to get farther, only to be pushed back. Biting her lip, the brunette haired arrancar shook her head. The fear of him being killed at that moment scared her to the point she couldn't think straight. She didn't want to think of being without him. The thought of someone more worse then Luppi entered her mind, telling her that someone far worse could enter the ranks easily.

Stopping her footsteps, her glare caused her eyes to narrow at the spiritual pressure she was feeling. It was sinister, more then Grimmjow's when she first met the espada that she loved. Squaring her shoulders to show that she wasn't scared, she turned and met the ebony hair that hung loosely while his hood was upturned. Cloth covered his left eye but it didn't bother her. Him being present was the problem that bothered her.

He normally didn't show his face unless he was itching for a fight. When he did, he usually killed whoever he was fighting and say they weren't much of a fight. She hated him more then anything else. She even feared him because espada was powerful enough to kill her and the other arrancar in a single move, especially if they were higher in the rank.

"Well this is interesting to see that shinigami's pet running around. What happened? Did you lose your master?" Nnoitra chided with that never ending smile on his face. It was one of the ways he hid his true personality from people, especially the new arrancars. If he didn't kill them yet.

"None of your concern Nnoitra-sama." It felt like acid on her lips to say that honorific. It was one thing she wanted to leave out to give him an insult that might get her killed. Turning her back to the taller arrancar, she ran from him. He didn't matter to her like Grimmjow did. Of course she was going to keep that relationship a secret until most of the espada that could use it against them was killed. She prayed that the intruders did that for them.

"Chicken shit!" Nnoitra hissed, tossing Santa Teresa at the woman. Narrowing his eyes at her, watching her easily dodge his weapon. Sneering at the woman that turned her head to look back at him, it felt like she was playing cat and mouse with him and it annoyed him.

Tora didn't have time to play around with the espada. She had to find Grimmjow. Sighing, she turned and looked around as another wave of pressure hit her. It was harder then the rest, causing her to fall back onto her rump. Blinking, the feline arrancar knew something was going on and she wasn't going to like it.

Picking herself up, she rushed as her gaze darted around as she tried to find the man. Someone that knew where her espada was. That ache that she felt in her heart as the pictures of her overactive imagination made her eyes ache as tears filled them. She couldn't cry yet. She had to find him first then she could cry maybe.

"Tora!"

The female arrancar spun around and stared into dark-blue eyes that were coming toward her. It was relief in a way to see the pixie cut hair that was snow white. Her master, her friend, her savior in a way. Running toward her, she was enveloped into a hug by the shinigami.

"Are you all right? Did anyone hurt you because I'll kill them if they did?" Madoka questioned as she checked over the arrancar but stopped when she caught sight of the bruise that was on the curve of the woman's neck. Smiling to herself, she continued to check and found nothing wrong except for that love mark. "Good. You need to be safe because Kurosaki is here."

"Who is Kurosaki?" Tora inquired with a raised eyebrow. She never heard that name before.

Clearing her throat and taking in the scenery that was around the two of them, the ex-shinigami didn't know how to start. The guy and his friends were there because of orange haired teen. It was basically war because they took someone that they cared about, much like the tale of Romeo and Juliet. "He's a substitute shinigami. He's friends with Inoue-chan."

"So why is he here?"

"He wants to get her back, that's why. It's war now. I want you to be safe. If you can run, even if it means losing pride then run. I don't want to lose my friend. Please remember that. I have to go with Ichimaru-kun and Aizen-sempai to get ready for whatever that man has in his mind." Madoka explained and hugged her friend one last time. She didn't know if she would see her again. There were a lot of possibilities that could happen and she prayed that it wouldn't be death.

Nodding, Tora watched her master and friend run off before using shunpo to disappear. Turning around, she found nothing of the spiritual pressure that she knew well. It caused that fear she didn't want to think about to hit her. Shaking her head, the feline arrancar raced off as different spiritual pressures hit her but one stuck out. Nnoitra's.

Narrowing her eyes, she pushed herself to get to the location where that man was. She had a sick feeling in her stomach that he might be where her lover was, making her feel like she was going to vomit. Instead she pushed on. She had to find him. She didn't want to be alone in the world again, like she was before she embraced the feelings like he did.

What she saw when she did find him caused that feeling of being sick cascade of her, overwhelming her to the point she actually did vomit. The blood that was being absorbed into the sand made her feel sick, even the scent that rolled off it. She wasn't sure which blood spot belonged to which person but she had to get to him.

Rushing over, she was knocked onto her rump again by a wave of spiritual pressure that was coming from a man that she didn't know and Nnoitra. She prayed that the espada died because she hated his guts but he didn't concern her as much as her beloved. Looking at him, she shook her head and prayed that she wasn't too late.

It's been a while since I worked on it because I've been working on my originals as of lately. The last time I did a chapter, I forget. That's how long it's been but I'm going to try and get the last few chapters done so I can call it done and not worry about it. Or have my muses nagging at me to get it done. Please review.
