Tiger and Kitten,
A strange pair to see.
Kitten always following,
Tiger often ignoring.
But Kitten holds on no matter what,
Even rejection will not shake her.
Tiger will not see the special side of Kitten,
He sees only a clueless follower.
But Kitten has powerful claws,
And in pain turns them against herself.
Tiger also holds hidden sorrow,
Past tragedy consuming him.
He too uses his claws on himself,
Ridding him of the pain.
Tiger discovers Kitten's secret,
He doesn't want her to suffer as he does.
Hours spent of trailing after Kitten,
Tiger wishes to confront her.
Kitten runs and hides,
Not wishing to be bothered.
Her secret shall remain a secret,
But not for long.
Tiger faces Kitten at last,
Only to find tears in her eyes.
He reveals his own dark secret,
And poor Kitten breaks down.
Kitten wants to stop,
She wants Tiger to stop too.
A promise is made,
And to hold up your end is to save the other.
Tiger will stop,
But only if Kitten will stop.
A long journey has begun,
Tiger and Kitten together.
Many tears will fall,
Blood will be spilt.
Tiger learns to show love and care,
Kitten learns when to give space.
The promise is kept,
And bonds are formed.
Love blossoms slowly,
The birds of happiness take flight.
Tiger and Kitten,
A love stronger than any.
