"Carlisle!" I yell for him.
It's been 2 agonizing days since my date with Edward.
"Bella please do not yell. It's very un-ladylike."
I nearly snort at his comment.
"Please Carlisle, since when have you know us to be as you say 'ladylike'?" Alice chimes in.
He just shakes his head as he's walking downstairs to meet with us.
"Well what is it that you ladies need?"
"Answers." We all say at once.
That's right I've told my girls what's happened on my date with Edward. We all want to know the deal and course of events that went down between Carlisle and Esme. There's bound to be some juicy details.
He sighs. Rose cocks her bitch brow at him.
He's must be joking if he thought we wouldn't have found out. I mean seriously the press conference was released yesterday. Unfortunately for us, Carlisle has been in "meetings" all-day and only now decided to grace us with his presence.
"Well what do you want to know?" he sits down opposite of Alice and I, next to Rose.
"First off, what the hell?" Rose all but shrieks at him.
I can see that this information has gotten a lot of public attentions. It's not every day that news of a secret baby comes out between two of the biggest people in the music industry. Then again that doesn't compare to the fact that of that said baby, the father didn't even acknowledge said baby was his.
It's bad for Carlisle rep, hence the press conference where Carlisle actually attended.
"Well I guess the only place is to start from the beginning. I mean you've seen the press conference there isn't much else to tell-" Alice cuts him off at that.
"Yes! Speaking of which why didn't you tell us ANYTHING about it! You've been like a father to us. It really hurt. Then for Bella to find out about it on her date with Edward was even worse!" he looked down at his feet. I know he feels guilty but to have this blow up in the media must be rough.
"It's ok Carlisle. I mean I know the story but I'm sure the girls would like to hear it from you." I give him a weak smile. Trying to be supportive.
"Bullshit. I still can't fucking believe you never told us anything Carlisle!" Rose all but yells again.
"Rosalie! Enough!" I can't stand it anymore, "It's as much as a shock to anyone else as it is to him. Give him a chance to explain it!" She shuts up at that. I hate that this is starting to cause a rift between us but its pretty shocking news.
As Carlisle tells the story I've already heard from Edward, I can see that Rose and Alice understand.
"Why didn't you want a paternity test done or anything?" Alice asks.
Carlisle just shrugged. "I wasn't thinking straight. Obviously I was a teenager, blind by the fact that you could get pregnant so easily. Getting a paternity test wasn't something I was thinking about."
It's rough to hear his side of the story. I do understand where he's coming from though.
"Well isn't this just a fucked up situation." Alice chimes.
"You could say that again." Carlisle said with a sigh.
"Well what happens next then? I mean what are you and Esme going to be mother and father to little Edward?" Rose asks.
"That's the thing I don't know yet. I mean I do want to get to know Edward and understand what's gone on for the past 20 years." Carlisle says.
"Well it's a start. We can have them over for dinner here if you want?" I suggest.
"Oh yeah I'd love to see that conversation! Invite them over!" Alice screams.
"So in for that night!" Rose chimes as well.
"No offense I was just thinking Carlisle, Esme, Edward and maybe me if Edward wants." I suggest to Carlisle.
"Actually that'd be great Bells." Carlisle says.
"WHAT?" Alice and Rose scream.
"Seriously girls we'll all go out after that then?" I suggest.
Seeing as that wasn't working I knew I was going to regret what I was about to say next.
"Ok fine! How about before we go out, we'll go shopping and you can play Bella Barbie?" I wince waiting for it.
"OMG are you SERIOUS! Ok fine I'm outta this dinner!" Alice squealed.
"I'm out too!" Rose agrees.
Damn. I'm in for it.
"Bella are you sure that's a wise choice?" Carlisle asks. He knows that they can get out of hand when it comes to dressing me up.
"It's fine. I mean I'd rather be here. I've only just met Edward not that long ago but I feel this connection to him and I want to see where it'll take us." I confess.
With a smile, Carlisle takes his leave.
"I'll call Esme and see what we can set up."
I nod and turn to the girls.
"Ok well I guess we'd better get going." I say.
"Going? Where are we going?" Alice asks. She really looks confused.
"Bella Barbie remember? We've gotta go shopping." I shrug.
"Oh please! Like we're going to let you see what we're going to dress you in." Rose shrugs me off.
Wait WHAT!
I did NOT say that they could buy stuff for me without seeing it!
"That is SO not what I meant you guys could do!" I scream.
"Please Bells, we're passing up something huge. This is your payback for it." Alice says. Damn that little pixie and fricken amazon!
I swear it's like they can communicate telepathically cause it sure seems to me like they've got this all planned out already.
"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this." I moan.
"Don't worry Bells. You're in good hands." Alice says while smirking.
"Yeah, like I believe that." This dinner better so be worth it.
A/N: So the weather has been super bad here. It's like the first time ever Hawai'i has gotten hail! Instead of doing homework I wanted to try write more =) Hopefully I won't have to wait until summer to keep writing.
