"Hello?" Oh. I hope I didn't wake him up.
"Um, Edward?" I say quietly.
I can hear some shuffling around then he responds.
"Oh hey Bella! Sorry just wasn't expecting you to call, you sort of woke me up from my nap." I hear a yawn.
"Oh no, I'm sorry! I just wanted to ask you something but it can wait! Go back to sleep and call me later when you're up." I say apologetically. I felt bad but I figured it'd be better if I called and asked sooner rather than later.
"You're kidding right? Like I could go back to sleep after hearing your voice." he says.
Damn this man and his sweetness.
"You're cute. Ok then I was calling cause I wanted to invite you and Esme over to our house for dinner with Carlisle, I thought I'd be a good idea and you guys would kind of be able to talk things out?" I all but rushed out the last part of my question.
Hitting my head on the table I close my eyes and wait for him to answer.
I can hear him breathing so he must still be on the line thinking things over.
"Um, well I haven't really thought about it but I'll ask Esme and get back to you then." my heart drops. I was hoping he would want to get to talk to Carlisle about his life.
"I'd love to join you guys for dinner it's just that Carlisle broke Esme's heart and I want to run it by her before I agree for the both of us." I smile at this.
He's so caring and he just wants to look out for his mother.
"You really are sweet Edward. I admire you looking out for your mother." I admit to him. I truly was in awe of his actions.
"I'd love to see you again as well, Bella." I can hear a smirk in his voice.
"You've still got a date to plan don't you?" Oh man I thought he would have forgotten about that guess not.
"You're right I do!" I say with a smile.
"If you guys do decide to come, the girls and I are going out clubbing after and I'd thought you'd love to join. You could bring down some friends and stay at our house if you wanted. It's big enough for everyone." I was hoping he had some close friends like the girls.
"That sounds great. Even if Esme doesn't agree to this dinner, I'd still love to join you girls for a night out."
"Ok then well when you get a chance, ask her and let me know." I guess I'd better head downstairs, we haven't practiced yet today and I want to run through a couple of new things with the girls.
"I can't wait to see you again Bella, and as for that date you promised me, I look forward to It." this man is making me feel things I haven't felt before. I don't know what to make of it.
"Don't worry Edward, I have a feeling you'll love the date and what ever else I'll have planned for it." let that sit with the man for a bit.
"Geeze Bella, you know how to make a man squirm don't you." I hear him whine.
"Well I try. For you." I add on. I can't help but smile when I think of him or even just hear his voice.
"Well I'd better go. It's a good thing you woke me up. I actually have to meet Esme down at the studio soon." Man. I was hoping I'd get to talk to him longer since it's been nearly a week since he flew back to Chicago.
"Ok then call me and let me know the updates regarding the dinner and clubbing." I remind him.
"Will do. Talk to you soon Bella."
"You too Edward. Bye."
"Bye."
"BELL-A" I cringe. Knowing that voice it can only mean disaster for me.
"Coming Alice."
I head downstairs and find the girls in the studio. They look like they've been practicing for a bit.
"Well took you long enough to talk to lover boy." Rose says.
I just roll my eyes at her. I can't help it if I enjoy talking to the man. If she had a guy like that in her life I'm sure she'd drop everything just to talk to him.
"Yeah well I did need to invite him back to the state for the dinner you know." I shrug.
"I also invited him to come out with us after if they decide to come down. I told him feel free to bring some friends and that they could stay here since we've got the room." I add.
"He's bringing some friends? Oh hell yes! If any of them are like him, they can stay in my room!" Damn girl is crazy.
"Let them decide that for themselves will yah Ali?" Rose says.
Forever the peacemaker, except when it comes to me then I'm always out numbered. No matter what my take on something is.
"Well once he asks Esme, he'll let me know when they're coming down. He said he's up to come down even if Esme says no to the dinner." I personally cannot wait to be in his arms again. I haven't known him that long but it just feels right.
"I'm sure she'll agree then we can all go out dancing!" Alice squeals. Oh boy I sure hope Edward's friends are prepared for the natural disaster that is Alice.
"Ok well enough talk already, how bout some practice huh?" I suggest. We need to get ready for out next show. I personally cannot wait to give it. We're finally releasing our new album and this show is going to be all songs from that one.
"I'm sure the fans will love this show. I can't wait to see their reaction to our new songs." I look at Rose, and smile. I'm excited too. She's written quite a few of the songs. I was very impressed with her talent.
"Me too Rose." I smile at her knowing that's what she wants.
Being in this business isn't all glam like it looks like. It's a dog eat dog business and you've gotta work hard to stay at the top.
"Well let's get to it to rock this show huh?" Alice says as she sits at her drums.
"Let's do it." I nod. We practiced for the next few hours, and when we were done, the phone rang. I looked at the caller ID, Edward.
A/N: So it's Spring Break for me! Hopefully I'll be able to get a few chapters out over the break. Having 2 jobs and having to write papers over the break is going to take a majority of my time though! Thanks to those who have stuck with me so far and I apologize for taking so long to update!
