Let's continue without further ado…
P.S. Reviews are very welcome!
Blair was awakened by a loud noise and cramps.
Groggily Blair looked up to find the source of the noise. As she looked around she realized that she wasn't in her own room.
I must've dozed off while talking to Serena where is she actually? Blair spotted a blond bundle lying asleep with her mouth open on her legs. Ah that explains the noise and the cramps. Serena is snoring again Blair thought.
She wanted nothing more than to fall back on the pillow and to go back to sleep. But she had a busy day ahead of her. Even though it was Saturday. Slowly Blair pulled her legs up. Trying not to wake the blond bundle. Serena stirred a bit but rolled on her other side still fast asleep.
Blair decided to take a shower first before she would take upon the task of waking her best friend.
Blair stood up and saw that she was still wearing her clothes from yesterday. She shook her head at her own laziness and got undressed.
While the shower jets were massaging her head and she was putting some shower gel on her body Blair made a list of things to-do this Saturday.
First she had to wake up Serena that would take about thirty minutes. That girl could sleep through anything. Then breakfast that would take about an hour depends if she would have to go out and get some breakfast supplies.
After breakfast she would swing by her place to change her outfit. It was bad enough that she would have to cross the street in last night's clothing but oh well. She was now massaging the shampoo in her hair. Then after she did her homework maybe Serena and I could go shopping. I need some headbands replacements and maybe I'll find something else along the way. By then it was time for dinner already. If you plan your day well it's over before you know it Blair thought to herself.
Throughout the shower Blair had this nagging feeling that she forgotten something, but she dismissed it as hunger.
Blair turned the shower off stepped out and dried herself off with a fluffy white towel. When she was done she spotted an equally fluffy white robe. Blair put it on and brushed her teeth. Then she walked back to the bedroom.
Her best friend was still in the same position as Blair left her and still fast asleep.
Alright time for the hardest part of the day: waking up Serena.
Blair walked over to the bedside and sat down. 'Serena' Blair said quietly while nudging her a bit.
No response.
So Blair tried again a little louder harder this time. 'Serena' and she nudged harder.
Still no response…
Alright this is getting ridiculous thought Blair. 'Serena!' said Blair quiet loud and gave her a small slap. Finally she stirred a bit. Wow this is easier than I thought. But Blair had spoken too soon Serena only rolled over to her other side.
'Unbelievable..' she muttered. Blair stood up.
'S I know you're awake and that you can hear me.'
Again no response.
Blair was becoming more impatient and annoyed by the minute. 'Serena if you do not open your eyes in the next minute I'll swear I'll get the hose' said Blair ominously.
When the minute was up Blair walked to the bathroom. She was gripping the doorknob when she heard her sleepy friend hasty say. 'I'm up! I'm up… don't get the hose B.' Blair smiled to herself mission accomplished.
She turned around and walked back to the bed. Serena lay on her stomach and looked groggily up to her best friend. 'You don't have to be so mean. It's Saturday B! Time for to lay lazy in your bed all day.' 'Oh I agree S.' 'But I was awakened by the sound of somebody snoring' Blair gave Serena a knowing glare. 'So I had to wake up and I utilized my time by taking a shower and go about my day schedule.' 'I'll suggest you do same S' Blair smiled sweetly at her blond friend.
Serena grumbled and reluctantly stood up. She walked towards the bathroom and closed the door. 'Oh one more thing S.' 'Do you have food for breakfast, or should I get some?' Serena stuck her head around and answered while she was brushing her teeth. 'Let's go eat out B we'll make it brunch instead!' 'Why?' Blair asked. 'Because I don't think we've got any breakfast/brunch food.' 'Besides it would be fun!'
It does sounds tempting Blair thought.
After Serena spit her toothpaste out and rinsed her mouth she came back. 'Well?' she asked.
'Alright S let's do something spontaneous! said Blair cheerily.
'Yay!' Serena was about to walk to her closet and pick out an outfit when Blair stopped her.
'First thing first S.' 'You go and take a shower and I'll go home and change my clothes.'
'You can look in my closet B I'm sure you can find something.' Blair looked hesitantly from Serena to her closet and then back to Serena. 'I don't think we have the same… style S.'
Serena shook her head. 'Thank you for insulting my wardrobe.' Blair smiled weakly at her best friend 'Fine go back to your place then.' Serena said with a mock sigh.
Blair kissed Serena on the cheek. 'I'll meet you back here okay?' Serena nodded.
When Blair was out of sight Serena want back to the bathroom thinking she had a crazy person as a best friend.
Blair heard the familiar ding when the elevator arrived at the Waldorf penthouse. She stepped out from the elevator and called to see if anybody was there.
'Hello?' No answer.
Mother was probably still asleep or already at the atelier. And Dorota was probably doing the grocery's.
So Blair went straight up the spiral staircase and into her room. Walking in her closet deciding what to wear today. Blair chose a simple white blouse and plaid skirt as finishing touch a bow headband. She put some make up. When her make-up and hair were flawless she went downstairs again.
Before she stepped in the elevator she had written a note saying she was having brunch with Serena. The note was more meant for Dorota than her mother. She didn't care what Blair did as long as she behaved and got good grades.
Blair stepped in a cab and went back to the Van der Woodsen apartment.
When she got there she greeted by Vanya the doorman Dorota's ''secret'' boyfriend. It supposed to be a secret but everyone knew about it.
While in the elevator to the Van der Woodsen apartment Blair thought it was nice that they had both doorman's. Nobody could get in without their permission, so they wouldn't have deal with the ''commoners'' if they didn't want to.
Blair thought more about the perks of being an Upper East Sider until she heard another familiar ding she had arrived at the floor of the apartment.
'S?' Blair called. 'Be right there B just finishing up.' Blair waited until she saw her best friend descend the stairs.
She looked beautiful.
Dammit.
She wore a beautifully blue dress that show off all her good parts. As if she had any flaws thought Blair miserably. She loved her best friend but sometimes she also hated her. Mainly because everybody loved Serena more than Blair even her own mother did. Also because Serena was stunning in everything she wore. She could put even a bag around her and still look beautiful. It was hard being her friend because she always stood in her shadow…
Blair couldn't self-pity herself for long because her best friend pulled her along.
'You look beautiful B!' Serena said with her usual bubbly smile. 'You too S.' Blair sighed inwardly.
After they got in the elevator they discussed there breakfast/brunch options. 'Let's get the coffee at Dean and Deluca's and the food at Bergdorf's' Blair suggested. 'Okay B I will hail a cab.'
Serena put her hand up and immediately a cab stopped. They got in and gave the order.
When they had their coffee they sought a nice quiet place at Bergdorf's.
Blair had some fresh fruits and Serena had a bagel with cream cheese. Another thing Blair hated from her best friend. Serena could eat everything and never gain weight. In return Blair gained weight at only looking at a cookie. But she was used to suppress these feeling by now.
She did what she always did: put up a fake smile.
Blair put some strawberries in her mouth when she saw Serena taking a big bite out of her bagel.
They had sat in silence for a while when Serena asked her something.
'B what are your plans for today?' 'The usual' Blair answered. 'Shopping, homework and Audrey?' Serena asked. Blair smiled at her blond counterpart. 'You know me too well. Care to join me?' she asked. 'Sure.' Serena said while smiling back. She hated what she'll have to ask next but clearly Blair forgot that she has a previous engagement.
'So...' Serena drawled. Blair looked up expectantly. 'What about Chuck?' she asked casually.
Just as Serena expected Blair's demeanor became rigid.
'What about him?' she asked.
'Well…' 'When you came over yesterday you were talking about some assignments he had to do for tomorrow.' Blair looked uncomprehendingly at Serena. 'You know for the project you both working on?'
'Yes S I get that I don't need a reminder thank you very much' Blair snapped.
Serena was not put off and continued.
'And since today is tomorrow-' Blair rolled her eyes. 'and you said that you will check upon him tomorrow. I simply ask when you intend to do that.'
After another moment of silence Blair spoke; 'I don't know S.' 'Probably soon so that I can get it over with.' Blair sighed.
Serena said nothing the ball was in her court now.
Blair looked up from her plate and saw that Serena was only paying attention to her bagel. Serena always knew which buttons she had to press to make her do stuff. Like this act for instance. She knew that Blair hated to be ignored and mostly did what Serena wanted her to do so that she stopped ignoring her.
'Fine I go!' 'After I finished my plate okay?' Blair asked annoyed. Serena only looked at Blair's empty plate. 'Maybe I also want a bagel?' she said. Serena just looked Blair in the eyes. 'Alright I'll go now!' Blair pushed her chair back and put on her coat. 'Happy now?' she asked through gritted teeth. Serena just smiled at Blair. 'But you'll paid for brunch.'
And with that note she took off.
While she sat in a cab that was heading to the Palace she thought; I have trained her too well.
Upon arriving at the Palace she felt something strange in her stomach. Was she actually nervous to go and meet a boy? That is silly I'm never nervous Blair thought. I must've eaten bad strawberries. Yep that must be it. Not the fact that I called him a ''special ladies men'' and that he's carrying herpes. Even if it is true.
No it be must be the strawberries Blair decided and she steps in the lobby. Blair walks to the front desk and asks if Chuck Bass is in and if she may visit him. The front desk lady ask who she is and what it is about. Blair says her name and that they are doing a project together for school. The lady calls up and asks if she may come up. When she has heard the confirmation she says Blair is free to go up. Blair steps in the elevator.
A moment later she arrives at the Bass floor.
She knocks on the door and waits. Nobody opens the door. She knocks again a little louder this time. This seems familiar Blair thought.
She tries to push the door open. It opens. Seriously? Again? She thinks to herself.
Blair steps inside and wait for the laughter and squealing she's probably going to hear. But she hears nothing. Total silence.
Blair walks in a bit further and calls. 'Hello?' 'It's me Blair anyone there?' Still total silence no door slamming no talking and no sliding underwear clad Chuck Bass.
Strange she thought I better check the suite make sure he isn't dead. Blair opens some doors but, always shielding her eyes a bit you never know what you might find.
So far she has looked in the kitchen, living room, behind the bar and the bathroom. All rooms looked exquisite. She got two rooms left. Probably the master bedroom and storage or something.
Blair opens the first door still shielding her eyes. She was right it was a bedroom. But not the bedroom of a teenager. The room was neat, orderly and a little bit stiff.
Of course! Blair hit herself on the head. This must be his parent's bedroom.
Odd that I thought that he was living alone here. It's a nice room but it misses a bit of a female's touch maybe his mom isn't into that stuff.
Blair closes the door and went to the last door. Okay if he isn't here I don't know who they've called.
Blair opens the door and the first thing she noticed is the cool breeze that hits against her face.
Slowly Blair removes her hands from her eyes.
She looks around thinks by herself now this is the room of a teenager. It's kind of messy but still organized. The wallpaper is mysterious but also inviting. The furniture is neatly picked together but still trendy.
Her eyes dwelt on the bed. Not so much the bed itself but the person lying in the bed.
Naked…
As far as Blair could tell.
She looked at his muscular chest. His face was almost angelic. He looked so peaceful. And yet very sexy with his thick tousled chocolate hair.
Blair's wandering eyes went further down his body.
Her breath caught in her throat as she saw a bit of leg/hip. He was not wearing underwear.
He was completely naked…
Blair blushed a bit. She had never seen a boy without his underwear on.
Oh dear lord thought Blair her throat was becoming a bit dry. She was checking him out while he was asleep. Get a grip Waldorf! she thought. What is wrong with you that guy is a pig! Now man up and make sure he isn't dead.
'Ahem' Blair cleared her throat. He didn't stir. 'Ahem' Blair tried again a little louder this time. Again nothing.
Really? Did she have to go through this ritual a second time this day?
'Ahem!' Blair said now very loud. Still no response. Again? this is getting ridiculous!
If he wanted to play hard ball so be it. Two can play that game. She had enough practice with Serena.
'Seriously Bass it's-' Blair looked at her watch. 'Two o'clock in the afternoon and your still in bed?' 'I would have expected better from you.' She said with a fake disappointed sigh.
She took another step towards the bed.
'Chuck I know you are awake and I know you can hear me.'
'They called ahead for your approval of me visiting you.' 'And unless they called the wrong Chuck Bass or, you have some mysterious power that can answer phones unconsciously. Which I sincerely doubt you have. I don't believe you are still asleep.' 'So stop playing dead and get out of bed!' said Blair angrily.
Still nothing. Why isn't he responding? She thought. Blair looked at his chest to see if it was moving.
But it was not…
Blair suddenly felt very sick and panicky.
Maybe he is dead! Maybe the drugs and alcohol finally killed him! But they called him and gotten him on the phone. But maybe he got a stroke soon afterwards! It could happen! I've never seen a dead man so how the hell do I know he isn't faking it?
Blair walked over to the bed and stood over him. She wanted to lay her hand on his chest but she backed out. She was scared. What the hell do you do with a dead Chuck Bass?
'Chuck…' she whispered.
A/N: Oh, oh what happens next?
Leave a review and maybe I will let you know next time…
