A/N: Hello, hello! Alright first things first.
*Squeals* I'm so excited for the royal wedding!
I hope Blair will realize that Louis just isn't right for her. And that she will hear that the car was meant for Nate and not for her. So that her pact with God will falter because that wasn't supposed to happen!
I do have a hunch that I know what the ''gasp'' worthy moment will be but I'm going to see and find out like everybody else. :D
As a request from one of my loyal readers/reviewers (ManhattanACMxoxo) I will try to make this longer. Don't hate me if it isn't that long but it literally takes me all day long to write these chapters. Mainly because I have to translate it in English and because sometimes I'm a little stuck with what to write next to keep it interesting.
So if you have any ideas feel free to share them with me!
Let's continue…
Blair broke out of her reverie and looked up to see who had spoken to her.
Chuck was standing in the doorway. 'Just admiring you in your innocent days Bass.'
But Blair saw that something in his demeanor had changed. 'Why? Is that a problem….' Blair asked while eyeing him cautiously.
Chuck was a little confused when he found Blair looking at pictures from him and his father. He didn't even knew his father had pictures. His father is a no emotion kind of guy surely pictures from him and his dad landed on that dresser by a mistake. Because they didn't fit the description.
He stepped towards Blair and looked at the pictures. They were all beautiful and the pictures of him he was smiling brightly and his father looked relaxed, something they both hadn't been or done in a while…
'Chuck?' Blair asked softly. He totally changed whilst looking at the pictures in Blair's eyes. From angry to almost soft and vulnerable. She felt almost obliged to say something to loosen up the air a bit. 'I can assume that, that is your father he seems nice but where is your mother in the picture?'
Apparently that was the wrong question to ask because Chuck became rigid took a deep breath and looked Blair straight in the eye. Blair almost jumped back at what she saw in his eyes. So much emotions were in those brown depths mostly anger and resentment but also fear and hurt lots of hurt and sadness she didn't know what to think about it. Chuck stepped closer they were now face to face. His hot breath tickled her skin. They stood in silence for a while until Chuck spoke. 'My mother is dead and my father isn't ''nice'' he said in one beat.
Bart Bass stepped out of the elevator and wanted to open the door with his keys when he noticed the door stood ajar. Again? He asked himself with a furrowed brow. This usually means that his son Charles was up to his usual antics inviting women over.
He was not in the mood to hear his son going at it with numerous probably call-girls. It had been a busy and stressful day at work. He had to fire a couple of people that didn't do their jobs probably as result he had lost a big deal and a lot of money. After that he had to calm down the board all day long and had to stay in meetings to do a bit of damage control. Bart sighed. When was his son planning to grow up and be the man he expected him to be. It will never happen he thought miserably he is too busy boozing and womanizing to notice other things.
Bart stepped inside poured himself a scotch and walked in the direction of his bedroom.
When he was in the vicinity of his bedroom he heard noises. Great he thought. Again he is entertaining them in his room. Bart had caught his son on several occasions in his room in the throes of passion. He never understood what fascination was of ''doing it'' in his bedroom. Charles was probably in a rebel faze. A faze that is lasting almost 17 years Bart thought. Well it was time to break up the party that was happening in his room 'cause he needed his peace and quiet.
Bart opened the door and was expecting to see his son and faceless girls wrapped in sheets enjoying each other's ''company''. Instead he saw two people fully clothed staring at each other intensely.
'Ahem' Bart cleared his throat. Chuck turned around startled at the sudden intrusion. 'Charles as I already told I don't want you doing any kind of business in my room.' 'So if you and your lady friend' with the emphasis on lady 'could continue this somewhere else' it wasn't a question more of an order.
'Of course father.' Chuck grabbed Blair by the arm and walked towards the door. Just before the went out of the bedroom Bart spoke again. 'The door was unlocked again don't let it happen again Charles' his voice was cold and authoritative. Chuck nodded and said 'yes father.' They walked out of the room Chuck was still holding Blair.
When they were in the living room again Blair asked something that baffled her. 'So… that was your dad huh?' 'Yes' Chuck answered. He looked at the ground trying to avoid the usual pity in someone's eyes when they met Bart Bass.
'And did he just insinuated that I was a hooker?' Chuck looked up and saw that instead of pity he saw amazement . He smirked 'kind of yeah.' 'Hah' 'I see why you wouldn't describe him as nice' said Blair still baffled. 'Well he has got years of experience' Chuck said bitterly but Blair also heard of twinge of pain. 'Seeing as I got no one else who will listen to my side of the story. I'll just live up the expectations he has over me…' Blair could fill in the blanks. His father expects the worst of him.
She didn't know what to say next because she has never met somebody that has to deal with loss on such a young age. Blair was curious about what happened to his mother but was afraid to ask afraid, she would see even more emotions swirling in those deep brown orbs.
What Blair did knew was the impact on a confused teenager with distracted self-centered parents. In Chuck's case parent. At least Blair has her father who loves her for who she is and not for what she stands for. But so it seems Chuck hasn't even got that. She can't image how that must of feel like. So she did the only thing she could think of.
The thing Blair always does with Dorota whenever she's feeling a bit under the weather.
'Let's go for a walk' Blair said while putting the project stuff back in her ''purse''. 'A walk?' Chuck asked suspicious. If this was a sympathy walk he wouldn't have it. Chuck Bass doesn't do sympathy or pity. 'Yeah a walk.' But Blair looked an talked like herself only minus the bitchy part he usually got from her. 'It's not like we get anything done now, our minds aren't focused.' 'Besides a little fresh air and some exercise is good for you.'
Blair grabbed both their coats and handed Chuck's coat. Chuck wanted to make a lewd comment that he's getting enough exercise but Blair smile hold him back it wasn't appropriate for now.
Blair shakes her disapprovingly to show that she knows what Chuck thinks and to disapprove.
Chuck smirks while holding the door open for Blair.
After the elevator had come up they stepped inside. 'What were your plans Waldorf?' 'Oh just walking around in central park you know clear our heads.' 'Right how do you plan on getting there?' 'Well you have a limo don't you?' 'Oh so you drag me away to do some ''walking'' and I have to come up with the transport? Nice game plan Waldorf'
Blair rolled her eyes.
'Just try to be a gentleman once in a while Bass' 'I'm wounded that you don't think I'm a gentleman' Chuck said with feigned hurt. 'Maybe if you said please once in a while you, might get somewhere B.'
Blair gave Chuck a slight slap on the arm.
'First of all Charles only my friends call me B. Second I'll say please when you start acting like a gentleman. And the odds that will happen is zilch so don't count on it. '
The elevator stopped at the ground floor and Blair stepped out. Chuck followed soon after.
'You know now is a good time to get your phone out of your pocket and call your chauffeur' 'And why would you think that?' 'Well…' Blair looked around ' because we are downstairs in the lobby going out for a stroll and still there is no car' 'You're not going to tell the great Chuck Bass is going to use public transport, or worse… using his legs to get to his destination? I thought you were better than that Bass' Chuck groaned Blair was right. He was Chuck Bass after all besides boozing and womanizing he also was known for his loathing in any other physical exercise that didn't involve naked girls.
Blair grinned when Chuck pulled out his phone and made the call to his driver. Victory Blair thought smugly.
After five minutes Blair saw the sleek Bass limo coming around the corner. They stepped outside and into the limo. Chuck gave the instructions to his drive and they were off.
While driving to the park Blair couldn't stop grinning. She can't believe she got Chuck so far to go with her for a walk without performing any sexual act.
I'm must be pretty good she thought.
It seemed if Chuck could read her mind because he said. 'Stop grinning Waldorf. Don't believe you've won already we're just getting started.' He scooted over to Blair so his was sitting right next to her. 'Stop kidding yourself Bass. You can't compete with me'
Blair scooted down the leather limo couch a bit she didn't like that he sat so close. But Chuck just scooted along. Blair scooted further but at some point she felt he cold metal against her back. She was backed up against the door. Chuck saw this and smirked while scooting closer.
Dammit. I'm trapped. Again. Why am I always trapped when it comes to Chuck Bass.
'Maybe for now but there's always the next round' Chuck said his voice low and seductive. 'Who says there's going to be a next round?' Blair said trying not to sound nervous by his close proxy.
'Who says there isn't….' Chuck's face was getting closer. Blair could feel the hairs standing up at the back of her neck. No she thought I have to keep him at bay with my witty comebacks. I can't let him get to me. Blair scoffed. 'In your dreams Bass' trying to get away. Their noses almost touched. Chuck was looking at her lips whilst he spoke. 'Every night Waldorf.'
But before Chuck could capture her lips with his own the limo stopped and his driver spoke. 'Were here Mr. Bass.' Blair saw this as her queue to leave and opened the door and jumped out. Chuck cursed inwardly. He was so close in savoring Blair's delicious sweet ruby lips that he could almost taste them.
Almost… groaned he.
'Thank you Arthur.' 'Wait here while Miss Waldorf and I go for our walk.' He almost spat out the word ''walk''.
Chuck stepped out of the limo and went looking for Blair. He found her standing by the fountain. She wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings so she didn't noticed Chuck was behind her. I could use this opportunity to punish her for running away from me like a scared jack rabbit. But that would be cruel now wouldn't it. So he just tapped her shoulder.
As expected Blair jumped a bit. If he had scared her she surely would have fallen into the fountain.
'Here you are.' 'Don't run away like that anymore, you had me worried sick.' Blair could hear his sarcastic tone from a mile away.
She brushed his hand from her shoulder of and said. 'I have no idea what you're talking about.' 'Sure you don't.' 'I merely stepped out of the vehicle when we reached our destination.' 'Sure you did.' 'If you don't believe that's your loss now let's go for that walk' Blair said and began walking in the direction of the duck pond.
Chuck walked next to her. 'Are you sure you still want me to accompany you? I'm quite scary.' Chuck chuckled when he saw that Blair was reddening a bit
They walked in silence for a while until they reached the duck pond. 'Were here' Blair said.
Chuck looked around. Is this Blair Waldorf's secret spot? He thought. There are only duck's and bread crust spread around everywhere.
He didn't see the appeal.
'Were here because…' he asked curiously.
'Because I like the pond and the duck's.' 'Didn't pick you for the animal lover type Waldorf' he smirked as her nose scrunched up. 'Dear God no what do you take me for?' 'Well what is the appeal then?' 'I don't know I find them very soothing when I'm stressed out.'
Chuck smirked.
'Ah yes the smell of duck urine and the endless quacking does wonders for your nerves.' Blair gave Chuck a light playful shove. 'Don't mock the ducks Chuck.'
'What do you do for relaxation?' 'Well nothing gets me so relaxed then a beautiful woman or two screaming my name. Or if that doesn't help I find the buzz of a joint or two also relaxing.' 'Does that satisfy your nosiness ?' 'Yes sorry I asked I should have known better.' Usually Blair's answers came out as insults Chuck didn't know how to label this answer.
Blair looked over the water at the ducks. They were restless. Swimming in circles the whole time and pecking other ducks. She wondered what was making them so restless.
From the corner of her eye she looked at Chuck. He was standing relaxed against the railing engrossed in probably his thoughts. Was he having a good time actually Blair wondered. It probably wasn't a typical Bass day for him. Seeing as there were no skanks to entertain him and no joints to be smoking. Correction there were no joints to be smoking jet he just pulled one out of his pocket and started lighting it.
'You can't do that here!' Blair cried. Chuck looked up to see Blair looking worried around her. 'Well I can but I don't want to get caught so I appreciate if you keep your voice down.'
He started lighting it again. After it was lit the scent of pot surrounded them. 'Put that out! You know that it's a crime do you!' Blair hissed. 'Relax Waldorf what is life without a bit of risk?' he said mischievously.
'Here' he offered her the joint. 'What? No!' Blair exclaimed. 'What did I say about keeping your voice down.' Chuck looked over his shoulder to see if somebody hadn't spotted them. 'Look I don't care that you want to get caught and destroy millions of your brain cells while you're at it, but I'm not participating.
Blair turned around and started walking away. But Chuck wasn't about to let her go this easily so he grabbed her arm and pulled her back. 'Hey!' Blair said.
'Come on life a little Waldorf.' 'I bet being the UES princes all the time is exhausting. Always being polite, prim and proper.' 'Don't you want to be free sometimes?' Chuck saw he had hit the right spot. The wheels in Blair's head started making over time. He decided to stir up the fire a bit more. 'Now is your chance…' he drawled.
The wheels had stopped turning he saw and she accepted the joint. She smoked a little clumsy and had a huge coughing fit afterwards. Chuck chuckled while patting her on the back.
When they finished the joint they started walking around. Chuck was used to the haziness that covered his brain so he could walk straight and act normal. Blair on the other hand is… let say she isn't very subtle. She was giggling all the time and she couldn't walk straight. So in order to not getting caught he slid his arm around her waist and continue walking this intimate. This didn't go unnoticed by Blair.
'Oeeh are we getting a little handsy Mr. Bass' she tickled his chin.
'Not at all Miss Waldorf.'
'I just don't want you fluttering around all the time it give me a headache.' 'Excuses! Excuses! You just want to touchh meee' Blair slurred. 'Firssst at the party then in your bed then on the couch and again in the limooo.' 'Admit it' she continued to tickle his chin.
'You see right through my devious ploy.' 'But alas you don't want me to touch you. Not at the party not in my bed not on the couch and not in the limo.' Chuck said with feigned hurt.
'But I dooo want it' Blair gave him a sloppy kiss on the cheek. 'I jussst can't act like I want it.' 'Why is that?' Chuck asked while he puts a stray curl behind her ear.
Blair freed herself from his grip.
'Becaussse… I'm Blaaair Waldooorf the UES princesss. Always civil well dressed, prim and proper people expect certain things from meee. And you're Chuuuck Bassss the UES bad boy and a princessss with a baaad boy just don't match. I'm supposed to end up with princeee charminnng not with theee dark knnight.
Chuck couldn't help but laugh the girl surely was delusional. Blair slapped him on the arm.
'Dooon't laugh Chuuuck I'm very veeery seriousss' she giggled. 'Alright Cinderella let's get you home and get you sobered up.' 'Nooo I don't wanna I'm hungry.' 'What do you want to eat?' he asked while they were walking towards the fountain. 'Hmm duck!' she says. 'Go catch one for meee Chuckie.'
'Chuckie?' 'Alright now I know you seriously need to sober because you start to give me pet names.' 'You don't likeee Chuckie?' 'How about honey or sweetie or,or,or Chuckles!' 'Yes I'm gonna name youuu Chuckles!'
On the way over to the exit Blair invented all kinds of pet names for Chuck. When they reached the fountain he saw two officers doing their rounds and there coming this way. Seeing Blair was still rambling loudly all kind of nonsense he had to find a place to hid but where?
'Okay Blair you need to be quiet for a moment because two officers are coming this way and we don't want to get caught.' Chuck whispered. 'Oeh! Officers are they cute?' 'Let's go tell them what we did!' Blair giggled. Chuck hold her tightly 'let's not' but Blair wiggled her way out of his arms.
'Come on Chuuuck life a little remember? Me and my stupid mouth thought Chuck. Although he did find it funny to watch the ice queen melt he didn't want to get her into trouble. For him it doesn't matter what he does his father will still be disappointed in him no matter what he did, but for Blair it was different. People are used to see Blair follow the rules if she started misbehaving now it will be a giant setback. And he didn't want to be the cause of it.
Shit Blair already started walking to the officers. 'Yoehoe officers! Come and get me!' He has to do something to shut her up but what? Chuck suddenly had an epiphany. He grabbed Blair and kissed her. Holding her tight whilst kissing her he looked from the corner of his to see if the officers had gone. He hadn't noticed that Blair totally melted against him and was making all sorts of approving noises in front of the fountain.
Chuck released her after a while. Blair stood stunned for a moment relishing in the after bliss of a good kiss.
'They're gone' he says. 'Who are they?' Blair asked confused. 'The officers.' 'So… you kissed me just because there were some officers?' she said with a hint of anger in her voice. 'You were about to rat us out I had to do something to shut you up' not knowing why she suddenly was angry at him. Wasn't she supposed to be glad that he had just saved her instead of just groping her in public? 'Unbelievable…' Blair muttered.
'What have I done wrong now I just saved your sorry ass!' 'I wouldn't needed saving in the first place if you hadn't brought that stuff!' she poked him in the chest.
Chuck backed up a bit.
'Oh please you could have said no!' 'Oh yes because you listen so well when a girl says no!' Blair continued to poke him in the chest feeling still a bit wobbly from the joint. 'Hey that has nothing to with this!' Chuck also continued to back up 'It has everything to do with this!'
'You come here-' Under your request!' Chuck interrupted. 'And you exploit my weak points causing me to cave into your twisted plan to get me right where you want to be!'
'And where is that if I may ask oh great one!' 'You trying to grope me in public with the lame excuse of saving me!' 'I didn't hear you complain when you were making all those content noises!' Blair scoffed 'you wish.' 'Maybe your just so uptight that you wait for these kind of moments and then blame me for it because I'm the most fun you've ever had!' 'Well darling come on then!'
'Your disgusting!' Blair gives him one more rude push. Chuck caught off guard lost his balance and falls in the fountain. 'Chuck!' Blair yelled and reached out her hand but it's too late he already lands in the fountain.
Coughing and spluttering Chuck emerges from the water. Blair tries to hold in her laugh not to anger him more but fails miserably when she sees that a piece of paper is stuck to his head.
Irritated Chuck gets the piece of paper from out of his hair. That girl is asking for some payback he thought devilishly.
'Look instead of standing there laughing like a hyena could you give me a hand I think there is a fish stuck in my underwear.'
On this notion Blair laughs even more but walks over to the reaching hand.
'I don't think there are fish in fountain. Is it not your own sea snake that you're feeling Bass?' she asked while reaching Chuck's hand. 'Well why don't come here and find out yourself Waldorf?'
'What?' Chuck pulls her into the fountain.
'CHUCK NO!' but it's too late Chuck already pulled her in and Blair could feel the water getting into her panties.
Blair too emerges coughing and spluttering from the water. Luckily in her case there isn't a piece of paper sticking onto her hair.
Chuck expects that WW III is about to happen but instead Blair's starts laughing. Soon afterwards Chuck starts laughing too.
Blair doesn't know if it's the drugs or the unlikely situation they are in but she couldn't stop laughing…
