Me: Well it took a while but I finally got this done. And Butch and Buttercup's interigation didn't go that badly for those that are wondering.
Blossom: Why would they care about that?
Me: Because I'm the beloved author.
Blossom: You think too highly of yourself.
Me: *glares* Hey, it's not just me, you do that too whenever your in public. Anyways, say the disclaimer please.
Blossom: Gilly doesn't own any of us, just the idea. On with the story!
Me: Hey that's my line!
Blossom: Sucks for you :P
Blossom's POV
What am I doing back home? Where are the others? We were just fighting Him.
"Hello Blossy," said a voice I recognized but at the same time didn't.
Brick seemed to have appeared out of shadow; I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relieved to see a familiar face but something about him was off, can't put a finger on it though.
"Good-bye Blossy," said Brick taking out his top.
"Brick what are you doing?" as I dodged his attack.
"What does it look like, and you're supposed to be the smart one," Sending another barrage of attacks.
I dodge as much as possible but the last one struck home, sending me across the room. I knew I couldn't trust him. No, he saved us when the League of Lovely Ladies attacked.
"No that was me getting your trust," snarled Brick. Did he just read my mind or was I thinking aloud?
He sent another attack my way; I brought my yo-yo to block, and causing his top to drill into its side and sparks to fly. I should never have trusted him; I never should've thought he could change.
"Don't you know, once a villain, always a villain," said Brick, once his top was in hand.
I looked Brick directly in the eye. My own eyes widened when I caught sight of something that was never there before. Green tint flake his red irises. This wasn't Brick at all, that means I've got nothing to hold back.
Letting out a battle cry, I came down on him full force. He was caught by surprise at the sudden shot, raising his arms to block.
Brick chuckled darkly, "Bravo Blossom, you think you have me figured out."
"I have, now where is everyone else, Him?"
He gave another dark chuckle. "Don't be too proud of yourself, you still haven't figured everything."
What was he talking about?
"Have you considered that I've taken over his body?"
Him saw my hesitation and attacked. Next thing I know, I'm spread out on the floor. My mind was working over time trying to figure out what Him meant. Out of the corner of my eye was the answer, our surroundings shifted for the briefest moment. Unless Him has the power to manipulate reality, this was all in my head; nothing here is real.
"This isn't real," I murmured, a smile creeping up.
"What was that Blossy, you begging for mercy?" laughed Him.
"This is all in my head," I said, louder this time. "This isn't real and you're not Brick. So back off!" My yo-yo charged with electricity before launching it. It hit the imposter square in the chest.
"So you have peace the puzzle, I would congratulate you but that's not but that goes everything I stand for," sneered Him, once he picked himself up.
"Now tell me how to get out of here?" I demanded.
"How else," he then disappeared in a cloud of black dust.
The walls seem to change, looking more like television screens; every one of them showed a memory of Brick and I. One showed the time we first met, another when they stole our clothes, third had our time in school together and the last held the moment when Brick's brothers slipped up and told me Riku's secret. It was that time that bothers me more than the rest. It had absolute betrayal, everything was a lie; but why does it seem to stand out from the rest of the memories? Was it because it was the freshest? Or something else?
It took me a while but I know the answer, it was right in front of me. I wasn't ready to forgive him; I may have verbally done it but you can't always trust what other people say.
I thought of our fist kiss in the alley; even though I didn't know it back then, I did give it to Riku. The thought made me smile, he was the first boy that didn't really ignore me (Sakamoto doesn't count cause he turned around and pranked me). Maybe I can forgive him after all.
Me: I feel like this chapter was overly complex. Originally I thought the solution would be 'Brick would never hurt her' and some how, in a weird twist, ended up with this.
Blossom: It seems a little hard to follow. Maybe you should get a few lessons.
Me: That's it, I'm bringing earplugs the next time I see you. Anyway, one more nightmare to go through and I'm most impressed with this one.
Before I sign off I would like to say a couple of things. First, as I was writing this, I thought of dreams and I've come up with challege for you. If you could use your next dream and turn it into a one-shot. I've considered doing that myself but whenever I do my brain comes to a complete stop. PM me you story, I would like to read it. Second, why do you like my story so much? This is my second one and it seems to be the most popular so far so I would like to know why. Put your reason in the review. Another thing, my next update should be soon; if I don't update by the end of the week then I'll have Butch tie me up like a pinyata and have the RRBZ and PPGZ and... yeah I think you get the point. Review! (This came out longer than I thought.)
