Day 212

Here it is; the ceremony. I shouldn't have done Jenny struggling with her vows, because it's Zap's that you'll want to pay attention to. Anyway, sorry for stretching it out, but it's…well it's easier for me that way. Enjoy!

P.S. One of my classes involved learning about the prehistoric giant dragonflies, guess what I was thinking of the whole time…

Disclaimer: I don't even own the poem in here; the poem used won a prize in a local competition and it was read out at my relative's wedding. I have no idea who it belongs to, but all credit goes to them and I hope they don't take offence that I used it without their permission. I just hope they understand how perfect it is.

It was just them, the habitat crew all alone in the dark depths of the forest pavilion. It turned out, after extensive explaining to the clone, that they had never left the habitat. When Jenny had fallen asleep on the ship, Jane turned their craft around and landed in a remote pavilion, installing one of Jenny's holograms to act as the manor house. The team then set up an outdoor setting, dressed in their own clothes and continued the charade until the bride finally arrived to their remote location. Surrounding them, their only light sources were the large star flies buzzing quietly around them. Despite the fact that there were a few white chairs placed out facing the altar, only Bream, Jane and Winston took their seats in the front row while Tung held up his camera to the couple.

"Dude, these star flies aren't doing much for good lighting," Tung complained in his shrill voice. He turned to a particularly big star fly that was hovering beside him and scratched it on the belly like it was a dog. Its glow brightened dramatically. "There we go," he mused, before the bug shot a bolt of light towards the frog boy, giving him a slight electric shock.

Dex cleared his throat to bring the attention back to the centre, but there were two people he couldn't quite pull out of their daydreams. Zap and Jenny held each others hands, staring intently in to the other's eyes. A small smile crept up on Jenny's face as Zap wiggled his eyebrows to her.

"All right, now that we've cleared everything up; Jenny, are you angry that we all tricked you in to getting your perfect wedding?" the clone turned to everyone in the audience, her close friends.

"You guys are all dead when I get back to my lab," she joked, resulting in a chorus of nervous laughter from the rest of the crew.

"Awesome," Dex began, clapping his hands together. "I suppose there is nothing left to do but start."

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the joining of Zap Monogan and Jenny…uh, just Jenny, in holy matrimony. To keep this short I'm only going to say; that in all my travels with work, I've never seen a pair more quirkily suited to each other than you guys. I'm sure that in your future, you'll find exciting adventures and never have a dull moment. Ah, Jenny, would you like to say your vows?"

Bream tip-toed up to the bride and handed her a piece of paper, taking the bouquet from her hands. Jenny cleared her throat before she began.

"Zap, you were…the biggest pain when you first came to the habitat," chuckles from everyone, including the pilot, rang through her ears. "But, slowly we became friends, and then more. I know I'm not perfect, but together we can be imperfect. You made me feel accepted, you make me smile, you make me laugh…you're my best friend," she paused in a bid to control herself, feeling the tears taking hold. "I have no idea what we're going to expect with this, but to have you with me on this journey, I couldn't be more excited."

The audience awed at her words; Bream quickly handing back the bouquet and taking the paper. Dex nudged the groom in his ribs.

"And your vows, Zap," Dex subtly slipped a piece of paper out of his sleeve and held it out to the bug boy. Obviously the leader had pre-written some vows, knowing that Zap would forget. The pilot looked down at the piece of paper and then back at Jenny.

"No, that's all right," he politely turned it down, making Dex all the more nervous. Zap stepped a little closer to the bride so that she was within whispering distance.

"Ok, I know I told you I wrote my vows already," he began to explain quickly, causing the clone to roll her eyes in amusement.

"But…how long is forever?" Jenny raised her eyebrow at his choice of words.

"It's for all of my heart," he continued, everyone sitting on the edges of their seats as Zap continued his poem. "It's for as long as I will hold your hand, and walk with you on the journey of life. It's for everything I want to do for you, and to be for you. It's for the length of my days, and the breadth of my soul. It's for every moment I'm with you, and for every moment that I wish that I was. It's for us; for you and me. The day I met you… forever began."

Silence fell on to the group as Zap finished his speech. Bream and Jane tried hard to control their girlish screams at the groom's words. Tung was sniffling behind the video camera, and even Dex looked stunned at Zap's words.

The only person's reaction he cared about was Jenny's. The girl was wide-eyed, jaw slightly open and subconsciously lowering her hands with the bouquet still in her tight grasp. Tears threatened to fall down her cheeks.

Looking around awkwardly, Zap cleared his throat to catch Dex's attention.

"Huh, oh right," he stammered, before straightening himself up once again. "So, Jenny do you take Zap to-"

"Oh can you just hurry up so I can kiss him already?" she questioned with laughter, choking back her tears of happiness. The rest of the team laughed with her.

"And Zap, do you take Jenny-"

"Are you kidding?!" he replied cheekily; Jenny laughing through the tears of joy.

"Fair enough, then I now pronounce you husband and wife," no sooner had the words left the leader's lips, than Jenny jumped on to Zap, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and slamming her lips against his. Pushed back a little by her strong force, Zap quickly wrapped his hands around her waist, twisting her around so that he was dipping her in a kiss. The small audience applauded; the star flies shining brighter at the noise.

"I know present to you Mr and Mrs Monogan."

And we have come to the end of the best month; it's been an awesome few weeks, and make sure you go back to other chapters to look for any signs, otherwise you're in for a surprise next month. R&R!
