Hello readers, yes i have finally updated! Please forgive me for such the late update, school's started back up and i haven't really gotten time to write. But i do hope that you guys like this chapter and please give me feedback whether it be good or bad. And also i barely found out that Heath and Jackson are cousins, don't judge me! Lol so for this i am going to have them not be cousins, i'm sorry if any of you don't like that but i want romance! xD Please enjoy this chapter!
Billy and I walked to our first period and sat in our seats, but not even a second after Billy was pushed out of his seat and was replaced with a vampire with a country accent. "Why hello there my little cutie." Val said to me, I sighed and rolled my eyes. "What do you want Val?" I asked
"I just wanted to talk to my future girlfriend." He replied as he leaned in close with a grin spread across his lips. I put my hand on his face and pushed him back "I am not your future girlfriend and I never will be." I replied.
"Oh come on, don't be so harsh. At least give me a chance."
I looked at him and saw a puppy dog face, was he really that desperate? I sighed in defeat and replied "Fine, I will give you one chance. But that's all you're getting."
"I will not let you down my little cutie." He said as the bell rang, he stood to walk to his seat but stopped "Oh and one more thing." He turned to me and planted a kiss on my cheek. I sat there frozen with a blush on my face as the vampire walked away; Billy got up from the ground and sat back in his seat.
"What was that all about?" He asked but got no reply. "Jackie? Yoo hoo, you there?" He waved his hand in front of my face and I snapped out of my frozen state. "Huh? Sorry what did you say?" I looked at him and replied.
"Are you alright? You seem a little out of it."
"Oh no I'm alright. I just uh was um daydreaming." I replied, Mr. Mummy walked into the class and started the lesson. I then got a text and it was from Draculaura, it read "Don't forget about the mall today! We will see you after school!"
I looked back at her and smiled, I then quickly checked my wallet to make sure that I had money in there and thankfully I had about 40 bucks. The rest of the day up to lunch went by quickly but I couldn't seem to get Val out of my mind, I then remembered what Draculaura told me about him. I wondered why she didn't like him; he doesn't seem like that bad of a guy.
The rest of the day went by and soon I was on my way to the mall with Frankie, Laguna, Draculaura, and Clawdeen. As soon as we got to the mall we went straight to the food court, we sat at a table and chatted for a bit before Clawdeen said to me "So do you think Billy's gonna be here?"
"Um I don't know, maybe." I replied
"Do you want him to be here? I mean he is a pretty cute ghost boy after all."
I then looked straight at Draculaura "Really? You couldn't resist could you?"
"I'm sorry! I had to tell them! This is just too cute!" She replied
"It's alright if you like Billy and don't worry we haven't told anyone." Said Clawdeen
"And besides we all think you two would make an adorable couple." Said Frankie
A deep blush spread across my face and I put my forehead on the table, the four ghouls laughed at my flusteredness and I sat back up. Laguna looked at me with an eyebrow raised and asked "That hoodie looks familiar mate; I've seen Billy wearing one just like it."
"O-Oh is that so? Well maybe we shop at the same stores or something." I replied while trying to hide the obvious blush on my face. Suddenly all four ghouls gasped and Draculaura asked "Is that Billy's hoodie? It is isn't it?!"
"Yes it's his hoodie and I'm only wearing it because we stayed at his house last night for band practice and he didn't want me going to school in dirty clothes so he let me borrow one of his hoodies!" I replied as my face turned as red as a cherry, I covered my face with the hood and laid my head back down on the table.
The four laughed at my flusteredness and apologized; Frankie suddenly got an idea and stood from her chair. "I've got an electrifying idea! Girls come over here, Jackie stay there."
The three girls stood and followed Frankie a few feet away from the table and huddled, I heard them giggling and they suddenly came back and dragged me from the table. "Where are you dragging me to?!" I yelled as I my heels got dragged on the floor.
I looked to face where my friends were heading and I saw the label 'Skirts n Stuff'. "Um why am I getting dragged in here?" I asked
"We need to get Billy to notice you as a girl and not just one of the guys!" Draculaura beamed
All of them pushed me into a dressing room and ran throughout the whole store and got about thirty outfits total for me to try on. As I tried on each outfit the four ghouls squealed every time I walked out of the dressing room, when I finally finished trying on clothes I got back into my street clothes.
I walked out of the dressing room and saw my four friends discussing in a circle. "Oh it's too hard they all look amazing on her! I say we just get all of them!" Draculaura squealed.
"Okay how about we pick the best fifteen and get those, because we diffidently have to get her shoes." Frankie replied
"Yea I like that idea, and then we can just go to her house before school and do her hair and makeup." Clawdeen said with excitement.
"Alright, I think these ones look the best. What do you girls think?" Said Laguna as she pointed to the fifteen outfits that were spread out of the big circular table. "Good eye Laguna, alright girls let's go!" Frankie said as she and the other three grabbed the outfits and brought them to the register.
"Guys wait! You don't have to buy all of this for me, really this is too much." I said, trying to get my friends out of this idea. "It's no biggie, besides the store is having a five dollar sale on everything so it's not that much." Laguna piped up
"Well at least let me pay for some of it." I said as I pulled out my wallet.
"Don't you dare pull that wallet out! Put it back in your bag and get ready to try on shoes!" Clawdeen snatched my wallet from my hand and put it back in my bag.
The girls paid for the clothes even though I felt bad and told them to let me pay for at least some of it or let me pay them back, they very much objected and proceeded to drag me into a shoe store. After a few more hours at the mall I finally got to go home, Draculaura drove me home with everyone else in the car.
She pulled up in front of my house and I got out, the girls handed me all of the bags of stuff they bought me and I walked up to the front door and kicked it about five times. Jackson opened the door and looked at me with surprise "Um did you do some shopping?"
I walked past him and dropped the bags on the floor "You know that term that girls use, shop till you drop?"
My brother nodded and I continued "I now believe in it." I fell onto the floor and laid flat on my stomach. "How much did you buy? And didn't you only have 40 bucks?" He asked
"I didn't buy anything; my friends bought all of this for me even though I told them not to. And the store was having a five dollar sale on everything." I mumbled into the floor, I tried to sit up but I no longer had any feeling in my arms or legs.
"Need sleep…can't get up…sleeping on the floor." I mumbled to myself as I closed my eyes to sleep. I then heard footsteps and a familiar voice coming closer "Hey Jackson what's taking so long?" I quickly lifted my head and got ready to hide behind the couch but I was too late.
"Jackie? Why are you lying on the floor?"
I looked back and forced a smile "Hey Romulus, I was just uh checking the carpet for softness. Yup very soft." I quickly stood and ran over to my bags and picked them all up "Well I'll be in my room goodbye!" I ran up the stairs and slammed my door shut.
Jackson watched me with confusion "I wonder what that was about, she couldn't move a single limb a second ago."
"Oh really?" Romulus looked at my bedroom door with a small smile and walked back to garage. I dropped the bags on my floor and dropped straight into bed, not even bothering to lay right in my bed. Instead I just let my feet rest on my pillow and I fell asleep.
After what felt like minutes I was woken up from the brightness of my bedroom light and someone jumping on my bed. "Come on sleeping beauty, wake up! We gotta make you all pretty for Billy." I heard the sound of Clawdeen's voice and lazily lifted up my head.
"What time is it?" I asked sleepily
"6:30" I heard Draculaura reply
"It's too early to be awake." I complained
"Too bad now get up, we're doing your hair first." Clawdeen grabbed my arm and pulled me out of bed and into the bathroom. She sat me down in a chair and Draculaura brushed my hair while Frankie picked out my outfit and Clawdeen did my makeup.
When the time hit 7:30 the three ghouls were finished with my look. I was pulled out of my house and we all got into Draculaura's car and drove to school. Frankie plugged in her phone and played S.O.S by Rihanna at full blast as we pulled into the school parking lot.
Draculaura parked the car but didn't turn the stereo off, I got out of the car and all the students stared at me like they had never seen me before. I saw Billy and Heath standing at the entrance and they turned when they heard the music and saw me.
The two looked at me and their jaws dropped and I walked towards them. Draculaura had straightened my hair and made it flip; Clawdeen put two coats of mascara on me and topped it off with black eye liner, blush, and gray eye shadow. Frankie had picked out a pair of black high heels, a denim blue skirt that was close to the middle of my thighs, a tightish gray long sleeve that had the sleeves cut from my shoulders to my wrists, and to top it off a black purse that Clawdeen picked out.
The girls had also gotten me contacts so I could see since they made me leave my glasses at home. As I walked through the courtyard students stared at me and the guy's jaws dropped. I walked over to Billy and Heath and smiled "Hey guys"
"Jackie?" The two boys asked with shocked faces.
"Yup, this is me."
"I-I like the new look." Heath said with a small smile.
"Thanks but this was not my idea, the three girls in the pink convertible got me dressed like this. Trust me I tried to object but they wouldn't let me." I looked at the three ghouls in the car and they smiled. I looked at Billy and he said "I really like the new look, but I never thought you would be one to wear this kind of stuff."
"Y-You like it?" I asked with a small smile and pushed some hair behind my ear. "I know that I like it my little cutie." I froze as a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. "Val let me go!"
"Now why would I do that? You obviously dressed like this to catch my attention. Just admit that you like me."
"I don't like you! I like Bil-" Before I could finish I stopped myself by clamping my hand over my mouth. Billy looked at me and asked "What? Did you almost say my name?"
"No! No I didn't. I didn't say anything. Is it hot out here or is it just me?" I got out of Val's grasp and quickly walked inside the school; my friends ran in after me and followed me to the bathroom. When they ran in I was hovering over the sink trying to catch my breath.
"Jackie are you alright? We saw you run into the building like you were being chased." Frankie asked with concern.
"I almost blurted out that I like Billy."
"What? How did you manage that?" Draculaura asked
"Well I was talking to Heath and Billy when suddenly Val came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He kept going on about how I dressed like this for him and that I should just confess that I like him and I almost blurted it out!"
"Its okay, Billy still doesn't know that you like him so there's nothing to worry about." Clawdeen put a hand on my shoulder and smiled.
"I know but he almost found out, if anyone else knew that I liked Billy then my life would be over."
"No one is going to find out, now let's get to class and forget about what happened." Draculaura softly grabbed my wrist and playfully tugged me out of the bathroom, the other two ghouls followed us out and we went on to class.
Little did we know that when we left the bathroom Cleo walked out of one of the stalls with an evil smirk. She looked at herself in the mirror and said to herself "Well well, it looks like I've discovered someone's dirty little secret. Oh it would be a shame if someone were to accidentally let the cat out of the bag."
She looked at herself one last time and chuckled to herself as she walked out of the bathroom and to her first class.
