Soldier.

That's what he was. A soldier with the uniform of a civilian.

There was nothing exceptional about him. He was average height (maybe a bit taller), had insignificant blonde hair, and abnormally normal brown eyes.

Although his children and his wife thought of him as somewhat of a hero, he knew they were wrong. He was no hero. He did what had to be done.

And, to him, that was the definition of a soldier. Someone who protects and wants little recognition of his deeds.

He does it for the greater good.

He was Neville Longbottom.

And he was exceptionally normal for a soldier.
