Lauren's POV. Its been a week since telling my dad about the baby and he still wasn't talking to me. Walking into the cafe, where I was supposed to be meeting joey, I could see Lucy dead eyeing me from behind the counter. "Can I have two teas and a chocolate muffin please?" I asked her sweetly. "What are you feeding the inbred baby?" She asked with a smug smile on her face. "Can you not?" "Nope I love winding you up." "Look Lucy I've done nothing wrong, why are you being like this?" I asked as I handed her the money for the tea. "You stole the man I'm in love with and now your having his fucking kid. This was the life I wanted Lauren and you know what your going to pay for it." She hissed at me as she slammed down the teas down on the counter. "You even touch my daughter or my grandchild and you'll regret it." I heard someone mutter from behind me. Turning around I saw my dad standing there sending Lucy a look that could kill. Picking up my teas I walked over to a table my dad following me. "Thanks." I told him as he sat down opposite me. Reaching for my hand he gave me a small smile before nicking a bit of my muffin. I slapped his hand away before he could get any more. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry Lauren, I shouldn't have said those things or acted like that it's just my little girls growing up and I don't want to lose you." My dad told me after a long silence. "Dad I will always be your little girl." I told him leaning over to kiss his cheek. "What are you doing today then?" "Me and Joe are going for the 12 week scan." "You better get me and your mum a picture." "Don't worry I'll get everyone one." I laughed with him as Joey walked through the door. "Hey babe," He muttered kissing my cheek "Hey Max." Be said to my dad once he sat down. "Joe I'm sorry about what I said in the pub, I didn't mean it I know you would never cheat, it's just Laurens growing up and I need to accept that." He told Joey, Joey nodded accepting his apology with a man hug. Looking at the time I saw that it was 11:00 we had thirty minutes to get to the hospital before the scan. "Babe we better go." I told Joey as we both drained our teas. "Good Luck." My dad said kissing my cheek as we walked out.
"I need a wee." I told Joey for the fourth time since we arrived at the hospital. We'd been her ten minutes and we still had to wait to see the doctor. "Go to the toilet then." He told me yet again. "I can't they need my bladder full for the scan or something." I told him resting me head on his shoulder. "Lauren Branning?" A nurse called out into the waiting room. Standing up I grabbed Joey's hand and draged him over to the nurse. "That's me." "Follow me please." She said with a sweet smile, flirting with Joey. Clearing his throat she turned around and walked down the corridor to the scan room. "Hello Lauren, how are you today?" The doctor asked as I walked into the room. "I'm fine thanks just nervous."I told her. "Just jump up on the bed and lift your top up please I have a few questions as well." Doing as she said I jumped onto the bed and lifted up my blue blouse. "Is this your first child?" "Yes." "Is this the fathers child?" she asked looking at Joey. "Yeah." I told her smiling at Joey. "Congrats he's gorgeous." She told me I just laughed at her before she carried on with the question's, things to do with my health. "Okay Lauren lets look at your baby." She said as she finished the questions. "This may be cold." She told me before squeezing some gel onto my small baby bum. Jumping with shock I saw Joey laughing at me, I just glared at him. Which caused him to kiss me softly on the cheek whispering "I love you." In my ear. "Here we are, that's you baby." The doctor said as she interrupted us. 'Oh god it's so cute.' I thought to myself letting tears fall from my eyes. "That's our baby Lo." Joey said kissing my hand, looking away from the screen I looked up and saw nothing but love in his eyes. I saw a tear fall from his eye, I can already tell he's going to be a great dad. "Yeah, it is." I whispered kiss his lips softly. "Would you like me to print to a copy?" The doctor asked. "Can you print us 6?" Joey asked. "Sure." Five mintues later we left the hospital hand in hand, I couldn't stop looking at the scan, placing my hand over my bump I can't wait for these next 6 months to be over I want to meet my baby. "I love you so much." Joey said as he pulled me into a kiss when we reached the car. He placed his hand on the bump before kissing me once again. I'm in love with this man and I'm having his child life couldn't get any better.
