After the concert had ended, only a few lingering guests remained inside the Warner's water tower. Trash, hats, and a few missing shoe pairs littered the entire floor. The food buffet was cleared of all of its food. All the chairs were placed on top of the tables. At the stage, some of the band members came back out and were giving autographs to a small crowd. Meanwhile, Tango along with Yakko and Dot were stationed at the jukebox. One of Tango's vinyl's records played inside the jukebox. "…You're wondering now, what to do, now you know this is the end, Curtain has fallen, now you're on your own, I won't return, forever you will wait…"
"Didn't know this jukebox could play vinyl" said Tango as he observed the spinning record inside it.
"Neither did we, but there had to be a reason for it since we didn't hardly use it the last two chapters" Yakko responded. Tango took the vinyl off the jukebox and placed it back into an album sleeve. He placed the album along with other ones he borrowed into a yellow duffel bag the Warner's gave him.
"We'll I got to bring these records back home before my parents realize they're gone." said Tango as he slumped the bag strap over his shoulder.
"Sure, they won't notice you bringing home a bag you didn't leave with" said Yakko. Tango smirked at his response.
"Hey where's Wakko?" Dot asked.
"I don't know, last time I saw him was with Ralph in the crowd earlier" Tango responded. "Let's go look for them" he added as the trio walked off to go find them. At one point they briefly stopped to see Mr. Plotz conversing with Dr. Scratchensniff.
"…and when you did that backflip at the end, I had no idea you were so agile!" Scratchensniff complimented in his Austrian accent.
"Well you know like Chip said; when you got it in you, don't hold back…" Plotz replied proudly.
"Cameo number 4, I'll ask Plotz if he's seen them" Tango spoke to the Warners as he walked over towards Plotz. He had finished up his conversation with Scratchensniff and was already waving him goodbye when Tango tapped him from behind.
"Hey Plotz! Looks like you got a couple of fans now" Tango answered coolly. Plotz turned around to face him.
"I guess so; I didn't know I could cut a rug like I did earlier tonight" Plotz answered happily. Tango wrapped a friendly arm around him.
"That's because you probably never really tried until tonight, once you cut loose and gave up any second thoughts you had about this party being silly or ridiculous, it didn't matter anymore cause you were too busy having a great time" Tango explained. He then poked at his belly. "Plus it turns out you're not to shabby of a dancer"
"Hey, don't forget, you were pretty good yourself kid" said Yakko, cutting into their conversation.
"Hey thanks Yakko. Oh wait I almost forgot to ask, have you seen Wakko and Ralph?" said Tango, remembering why they came to him in the first place. Mr. Plotz glanced over near the buffet table where he saw Wakko's still bouncing figure partially blocked by the familiar large body of a bald man.
"Ah, I see them. They're over there" Plotz answered as he and the others walked over to them.
"How many sweets did Wakko eat? He's still jumpy!" Tango complained.
"For Wakko, that's actually normal" Dot answered. Tango walked up behind the man and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey Ralph how did you like…?" Tango asked but froze in shock when the man turned around to reveal he wasn't Ralph. This person had a round nose, completely different facial structure, and wore thick rimmed glasses. The man shook his hand.
"Hey what's up, I'm Steven Pudner, the Warners and I met on the internet. How are you doing?" the man responded in a deep nerdy voice.
"Uh... Hi" Tango replied politely.
"Cameo number 5" Yakko answered for him.
"Aren't these cameos getting a bit gratuitous?" Dot muttered to her older sibling.
"Aren't they always? Besides I'm sure our friends are grateful for a little gratuitousness" Yakko responded.
"Steven uh, you shaved off your hair" Plotz spoke up politely while forcing a smile.
"Oh yeah I'm glad you like it. I just wanted to take another look at this wicked gizmo over here" Steven replied as he stepped aside to show that it wasn't Wakko; but instead a shiny gray gizmo shaped like a bowling ball pin. It had the face of Wakko along with his red cap on top. In the middle were a small screen and a couple of buttons. It bounced up and down on a large bed spring.
"Neat isn't it? Well see ya." Pudner chuckled before walking off. The entire inside of the tower was now empty except for Tango, Plotz, Yakko, and Dot.
"But, if that wasn't Ralph and Wakko, then…" Tango finally spoke up but was caught off guard again by the sight of Chip and Pip coming towards them. Chip grabbed the red hat off the gizmo.
"You know guys, since hardly anyone is around now…" Chip spoke up.
"We figured we would let you in for a little surprise…" Pip added.
"Not only are we front men, but we happen to be masters of disguise!" said Chip, finishing up the sentence. The duo spun around so their backs faced towards Tango, Plotz and the Warners. Chip took of his glasses and checkered hat and placed the red cap on his head. Pip took off his hat and ripped off what turned out to be a fake beard. They turned around with their arms stretched in the air as they cheered, "Ta-daa!" The group of four reeled back in shock.
"Wakko?!" Dot and Yakko exclaimed.
"Ralph?!" Mr. Plotz and Tango exclaimed.
"So guys, how did we do huh?" Yakko asked happily in his normal voice.
"Oh you guys were great!" Dot responded as she embraced Wakko into a hug so tight, his cheeks bulged for air.
"I see you've taken a few pointers from me" Yakko answered coolly as he crossed his arms. Wakko took out a handful of pointing sticks.
"I did! But we also used you as inspiration for us. That along with Suggs and Buster Blood vessel" Wakko answered.
"And you Ralph, I didn't know there was a showman in you! Who would have known you were that energetic?" Mr. Plotz complimented, pounding a fist into his side.
"He clearly hasn't seen our chases sequences." Yakko muttered to Tango.
"Aw shucks boss, It was nothing" Ralph replied bashfully in his normal voice as his face blushed red.
"Hey what's with the shiny bowling pin over here?" Tango asked pointing at the gizmo.
"It's Wakko's new invention" Ralph answered. "What's it called again? The Warner sesmog, sizemograp…?"
"The Warner seismograph" Wakko corrected him. "I found out, the Two Tone band Madness managed to create a 4.2 earthquake at the Madstock show in 1992! I wanted to see if our party could beat there's" he explained as he pressed a few buttons. He gazed intently at the small screen. "And we have a… 6.4!"
"Alright! Ralph and Yakko cheered.
"Why he's able to do this but not house train himself I'll never know" Dot said flatly as she crossed her arms. Ralph gazed at a watch on his wrist.
"Oh gosh it's gotten late. I gotta get home." He stated quickly. "Good bye yous guys! See ya later Chip!" he added as he walked towards the door
"Same to you Pip!" Wakko chucked as Ralph climbed down the ladder.
"Oh he's right, we got to get going too" Plotz spoke to Tango as he began heading out the door. He turned around briefly to face the others. "I just want to thank you all for convincing me to come here tonight. You guys really know how to throw a party. And Warners, this will be the first time to admit that I've misjudged you three" he stated contentedly.
"That's okay, it won't be one of the last times you'll miss judge us" Yakko answered slyly.
"We'll Tango we better get going before your parents start worrying about you. You know I kinda like you kid. You look like you got a good head on your shoulders." Plotz said putting his hand on Tango right shoulder. Tango proudly closed his eyes with a smug grin.
"Oh yes thank you, I've always gotten complimented for having such a…" Tango started just before Plotz cut him off.
"Ah-ah-ah! I said you look like you got a good head on your shoulders, I didn't say you did." Plotz corrected as he headed out the door.
"Whoa- ho! Good one!" Yakko laughed as his other siblings giggled. Tango stood dumbfounded before he swiftly headed to the door.
"Aw come on, you're really gonna do like that? Tango called out after Plotz.
"Hey your still associated with those Warners, some of their behavior is rubbing off on you" Plotz responded jokingly as he began climbing down the ladder.
"Bye guys" Tango said quickly to the Warners before he began heading down the ladder. "I don't know man, I'd say I'm more like you, we're headstrong, confident, and we've got the same height…" he told Plotz as he voice began to trail off.
"We have the same name…" Plotz retorted, his voice trailing off too. A groan from Tango and a chuckle from Plotz came afterwards. Now, only the Warners remained inside the tower.
"Hey how he never jokes around with us?" Dot asked in realization.
"I don't know, maybe hes still developing taste" Yakko answered. " Well sibs, time to turn in for the night. Our party was a great success!" he added as he reached for the door. They glanced down towards the bottom of the tower where they saw Plotz and Tango were walking away from them.
"Would this be a good time to let them know we used Mr. Plotz's debit card to cover all of this?" Wakko asked holding a golden debit card. Yakko pondered for a moment.
"Nah, that would spoil the moment, and this ending" Yakko responded.
"Goodnight everybody!" The trio chirped in unison as they waved off into space before slamming the door shut.
Well that's all folks; I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this! I would to thank everyone that took the time to favorite and view this story. I really appreciated your comments, and a few of them were pretty helpful. This one took much longer as I had not done a full draft in advance like my other one, and had dealt with writer's block, college work, and a few other personal issues. Don't forget to leave your final comments and reviews in the review section. Hey, if you all liked this one, feel free to check out my other story "Test Dummy for Gizmo 13"
Songs referenced in this chapter are: You're Wondering Now- The Specials. watch?v=xEPfSWk0Lsw
I just realized I referenced this band's music the most, and most of the those songs were covers!
I probably should also mention this, since I hadn't done earlier in this story or in my other one, all the characters featured in this story except for Tango are owned by Warner Bros. Studios.
