I'm so sorry that it has taken me forever to update this fic but I finally did. Thanks for all the reviews on the last chapter and I'll try to update again by the end of the week but no promises. I hope you enjoy this chapter but I will warn you it's a little fluffy...then again fluffy is my specialty. Read and Review. RawR! :D

Prom night…. I didn't have a date. Riley still wasn't talking to me and she had gotten a date with Jake Mason and then there was Thalia who was also avoiding me. I adjusted my bowtie and then there was a knock on my door. Bianca walked in wearing her own prom dress, "There's someone here for you."

I nodded and walked down the stairs and opened the door to find Thalia standing there. I smiled at her, "Hey what are you doing here?"

She smiled slightly, "I decided that maybe we could suffer through prom together."

I smiled, "So you're talking to me again?"

She nodded, "Yeah I guess I am."

"So are you asking me to prom then?" I asked.

She laughed slightly, "I guess you could say I am."

"Well the answer is yes. My mom made me pick you up a corsage." I said.

"She did?" Thalia asked.

I nodded, "She said it was the right thing to do since you didn't have a date and neither did I."

"So she made you get one?" she asked.

I nodded, "My mom has some weird logic that you'll never understand."

Thalia smiled at me, gods I had missed that smile. I wanted to see it for awhile now and there it was it still existed. Thalia and I went inside and my mom stepped out of the kitchen. I grabbed the flower thing and slipped it onto Thalia's wrist. She looked amazing and at least our attire matched.

"You look amazing." I whispered to her.

"Thanks you don't look too bad yourself." She smiled.

"Pictures!" my mom cooed. She was armed with her camera and made Thalia and I stand in front of the fireplace even though we had scheduled an hour for pictures at the park. After my mom's picture frenzy we were headed off to the park.

Thalia and I walked over to our friends even Luke was there with Kelli who was starting to show a baby bump. When everyone heard the rumor we figured that it was true because Thalia wouldn't have broken up with Luke for no good reason; she loved him too much to do that.

Pictures were something that we barely got through and then we were off to dinner. I pulled Thalia's chair out for her and pushed her chair back in. We were barely through our salads when there was a buzz of conversation.

Thalia looked over at Kelli, "So how are you feeling?"

Apparently Thalia's sudden engagement of conversation took her off guard and she just looked at Thalia for a moment, "I'm feeling fine thanks."

"I'm glad you could make it tonight I hope you have fun." Thalia said

Kelli smiled at Thalia, "Thanks."

"You look really nice tonight." Thalia smiled.

Luke kept watching Thalia with the same blue eyes that he always watches her with since they broke up. Thalia then looked over at me and smiled I smiled back at her and we sat through conversation.

Percy stood before our dinner was served, "Guys I want to make a toast. This year we've been through a lot together and we've been making it through all of it. Piper got into a car accident and lost her memory. We're thankful that she has it back a remember anything. We've gone through a lot of drama and we've all made it through it." Percy smiled.

"Whoa dude that just turned this into a funeral you killed the fun." Leo said jokingly.

"Well I was trying to be deep and it felt like the correct moment." Percy said.

Finally it was off to prom that was apparently held on a boat. Thalia and Percy pulled some strings and obtained the cruise liner. Thalia and her student council picked a cool theme for it and they ended up going with 'Italian Nights' so I wasn't surprised when I heard Italian music when we arrived. I took Thalia's jacket and handed them to the guy to hang them up.

Thalia was talking with some other people who were commenting on the decorations and I walked over wrapping my arms around her. She smiled and curled into my arms a little more, "Thanks I'm glad you guys like it."

They left us alone and Thalia turned and smiled at me, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." I whispered.

"Are you ready to dance?" she asked.

"If you want to." I smiled.

Right out of the gate there was a slow song. I looked at Thalia who shrugged, "If you want to dance."

"Why not we'll look stupid if we're just standing there." I said.

Thalia smiled and I led her out onto the floor. All of our friends were already dancing. For some strange reason she hadn't talked to Luke yet but she would talk to me. Honestly I didn't understand why she would talk to me but not Luke what I did was worse, what Luke did well that was just bad luck.

"Why won't you talk to Luke?" I asked her as we twirled around on the dance floor.

"I haven't had the chance to." She lied.

"Thalia you and I both know that there a thousands of other reasons that you're not telling me." I said.

She smiled, "And what sir, would those be?"

"I don't know but there are things that you aren't telling me or anyone else for that matter." I said.

She smiled, "I'm honestly still trying to work it out in my own head."

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever you say Thalia."

"What you don't believe me?" she asked.

"No I believe you." I smiled.

Thalia and I were still dancing through most of the first hour of prom. Finally we got tired and wanted a break so we met up with Percy and Annabeth over by the snack table.

"Are you guys having fun?" Thalia asked.

"Of course we are the decorations are amazing you and Piper really did pull this all together." Percy smiled.

"What about you Annabeth?" Thalia asked.

"I love it." She smiled.

Thalia looked at me, "Well then how about you, did we capture the essence of Italy?"

I smiled, "You guys captured it perfectly, I feel like I'm in Italy."

Thalia smiled and I handed her some punch which she took. We visited with Percy and Annabeth for awhile and Thalia decided that she wanted to take a walk on the deck to see if she could find stars.

I draped my jacket over her shoulders and I could see Luke watching us as we walked out of the ballroom.

"Thalia do you ever just take time to think about yourself?" I asked her.

She looked at me, "What do you mean by that?"

"You're always so busy worrying about other people. Is there any time where you do something for you?" I asked her again.

She looked like the question had taken her off guard, "Well there's some 'me time' somewhere in there."

"Where?" I asked her.

She rolled her eyes, "Why do you care?"

"Because I've never seen it." I said.

"I just don't find it important to constantly worry about myself if my friends need help." She shrugged.

"You know what I think we know what we're going to do this summer." I said.

She looked at me, "And what would that be?"

"I think we're going to go on a really long vacation." I said.

"And what makes you think that I'll agree to this long vacation?" she asked.

"The fact that even if you say no I will drag you along with me." I grinned.

Thalia rolled her eyes, "That's kidnapping and its illegal."

"Not if I get your mother's consent." I said.

"You wouldn't." she said.

"Oh but I would." I grinned.

"You are one of the most evil people I have ever met Nico." She laughed.

"Seriously sometimes it's good to take some time for yourself." I said.

She smiled, "Maybe you're right."

"See I told you it's a good thing."

We stayed out on the deck looking at the stars that did manage to pop up and talked about things between us. When we walked back in the music was blaring and it looked like everyone was having a good time. Thalia smiled and we walked back to the dance floor. The fast song that was playing cut out to a slow song. Thalia instantly stopped and looked over at the DJ booth.

I knew that they were going to be planning this so I moved away from Thalia and walked over to Luke asking if I could dance with Kelli. I know Thalia was going to kill us all later for this but it needed to be done. As much as I hated to admit it she really did need to talk to Luke.

I stared at my friends; I couldn't actually believe that they were doing this. Nico walked over to Luke and was dancing with Kelli. The DJ was playing Luke and I's song…Yellow by Coldplay.

Luke walked over and smiled slightly, "This is our song."

I looked at him and accepted his hand. They did this on purpose. I nodded but I couldn't make myself look him in the eye. We ended up dancing to the song and we tried to make small talk that didn't go too well.

"So you guys really kicked butt for prom this year." Luke said.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Summer is going to be fun." He said.

I nodded, "It always is."

"Look Thals this is ridiculous. We need to talk about what happened." He whispered.

"No honestly it's not there's nothing to really talk about." I shrugged.

"Then why are you still avoiding me?" he asked.

I looked at him, "I don't think it would be right, you're going to be a father and you really don't need your ex-girlfriend in your life." I said.

"You can still be my friend." He said.

"Maybe I don't want to be." I said.

"Well that's just stupid." He said.

I glared at him, "If you were in the position I was in right now you wouldn't want to talk to yourself either."

"Just because I cheated one time on you whereas Nico cheated on you multiple times with multiple girls and you can still talk to him?" he asked.

"No that is not why; it took me how long to actually talk to Nico. Do you want to know the honest truth why I'm not talking to you?" I spat at him.

"Yes Thalia enlighten me." He growled.

"I know Nico cheated on me and it took me four moths to actually talk to him again. I know you only did it once but you somehow managed to knock her up. Not to mention that I thought you were different." I hissed.

He looked at me, "Different?"

I nodded curtly, "I never, ever imagined that you would cheat on me in a million years. It really hurt that you, the one guy I thought actually loved me, would cheat on me."

With that I walked away from him leaving him standing there. I walked out of the ballroom ignoring my name as it was called. I stood out on the deck and was about to pull a Titanic moment.

"Thalia stop right there!"

I turned around to find Nico standing there. He walked over to me and held his arms open. I hugged him and sobbed.

"Thals it's ok." He whispered.

I cried, "No it's not ok."

"Yes it is Thalia." He whispered as he rubbed soothing circles on my back.

Thalia wasn't the same after prom. She became quieter more detached from everyone. Even at home she was more detached from people. I knew it was my fault, it's always my fault. Kelli was driving me up the walls with all of her cravings, mood swings, and just flat out hormones. Sometimes I wanted to strangle her.

One day I was watching Thalia sitting in the park. Finally I couldn't take it. I walked over to her and I grabbed her face and I kissed her. She froze and then smacked me, "What are you doing?"

"Look Thalia I'm sick of this! I want you to realize that I love you more than anything in the world." I murmured.

She looked at me her blue eyes were timid, "Luke you shouldn't be doing this."

"I don't care about Kelli; I never did care about Kelli." I whispered.

"Luke there's a kid in this whole equation you can't just up and leave her because you decided that you love me more than her." Thalia glared at me harshly.

"Thalia I'll help her with the kid if it turns out to be mine but I'm not going to love Kelli because of it." I whispered harshly.

She glared at me, "You're the one who made the mistake and you're going to take care of it."

"I'm not going to love Kelli." I growled.

"Luke…"

"Thalia." I said her name just as harshly as she said mine.

"Look you need to just accept the fact that you're going to have to worry and care for Kelli not me." She snapped.

"You're just going to have to accept the fact that I'm not accepting that fact." I snapped.

Thalia narrowed her eyes at me, "You're an ass you know that right?"

I chuckled, "I know you've told me plenty of times."

To the people around us we probably looked a little weird. I snaked my arms around Thalia's waist and her frown faltered into a smile. She snaked her arms around my neck and kissed me. Then as if on cue it began to pour rain. I twirled Thalia around as we kissed and we stayed out in the rain for a little while.

"Are we us again?" I asked her.

She nodded and kissed me again, "Yeah we're us."

"So if we're us again is there any way that I could take you out tonight?" I asked her.

She grinned, "Yes."

"Well then let's head over to a movie or something." I whispered.

Percy and I were walking around the park when we saw something that caught our attention. Thalia and Luke were standing there in the pouring rain smiling at one another. So it looks like they're together. Now Percy and I were the only single ones in the group.

"Well looks like we're the only ones in the 'Single People's Club'." Percy joked.

"Eh it's not that bad." I shrugged.

"Do you want to go do something? The boardwalk is usually pretty cool right now." Percy suggested.

I shrugged, "Sure sounds like fun."

So we headed over to the boardwalk and there was a skill crane game. Percy walked over, "I can try to win you something."

I smiled, "You know the trick to these games right?"

He looked at me with a confused face, "There's a trick to these things?"

I nodded and inserted 50 cents into the machine. In the end after spending tons of money on the machine we ended up with a ton of stuffed animals.

Percy stared at the pile of stuffed animals and whistled, "Wow that is amazing but what are we going to do with all of these?"

I shrugged, "We could always give some away."

"We could." Percy nodded, "Hey are you getting hungry?"

At that exact moment my stomach began to take up its natural talent to talk whale, "A little."

"Do you want Mexican, Italian, American?" Percy asked.

"Actually I think chili cheese fries sound really good right now." I said. Normally I wouldn't eat them but I have seen so many people who have walked past me with them and now I wanted them.

"They are good, come on let's go get some." Percy smiled.

He held out his hand and I took it and he led me to where he told me they were the best. We ordered and stood around while Percy looked for a table that had an umbrella. Finally we found one and sat down.

"So how are they?" he asked.

"Amazing." I smiled as I used my plastic fork to stab another one.

"So I've been thinking lately that maybe we could try dating." Percy said.

I looked at him and locked eyes with his brilliant sea green eyes, "I don't see anything wrong with that idea."

"So are we calling this little get together a date?" he grinned.

I nodded, "If you want to."

"Well then Annabeth I can officially call you my girlfriend." Percy grinned.
