Chapter 14
Eren was awake. Well, sort of.
He was shaking, scared senseless. Damn those kids. He hadn't had a nightmare like that in days, which was pretty good. He couldn't stop shaking, his body uncontrollable. It was cold inside his heart, but warm outside his body. He sniffled his tears back up, trying to make his vision clear.
He didn't know why he was in someone's room.
When he looked around, he noticed that the room was indescribably clean, with only the sheets that Eren had laid on been disrupted. The dresser had been dusted, and quite recently. The floor was vacuumed, the clothes were put away, and the flowers had been watered. It wasn't anything like Erens room. So, who's was it?
Out of nowhere, the door creaked open. He looked at the feet first, seeing only pristine white socks. Then some black pants with a brown leather buckle around a slim waist. Then there was a white shirt that was semi see through, which made Eren see the muscles under the mans skin. He shivered, and when he looked up, he saw narrow silver eyes.
"Hello, brat." Levi said, sighing. "Don't mess up this room, or I swear..." He murmured, making Eren hang his head.
"Why... am I... Here?" Eren said quietly, rubbing his hands against the sheets. He was embarrassed. Why did it have to be Levi that found him? The one who he... never mind. It was just a fantasy. After all, the saying of him being a monster had officially been imprinted on his brain. There would be no way he'd let Levi fall for him. It would be the worst mistake of his life.
"You were passed out near the middle of the park. Some kids said you wouldn't wake up, so I drove over. Seems that they were tellin the truth, cause you didn't do shit when I kicked you. So, I drove you over to my place, since I remember you saying you hated hospitals." Levi noted, looking at Eren straight in the eye.
Eren couldn't keep it without blushing, so he looked down. "Well, I'll be going now." He said, his arms shaking as he tried to push himself up. Levi was suspicious. If this was the real Eren, he'd fight back and be cocky. The exact opposite of what Levi would want him to be. He looked over to him when he was lifting himself up, and Eren was shivering. Shaking. It wasn't hot in here, so it must've been the other option.
Levi grabbed Erens wrist, making him freeze up. He didn't want to talk to Levi. He wanted to get of this lump in his throat. "What is wrong?" Levi asked, "Spill."
Eren yanked his hand away, and faked a smirk when he lifted his head. "I'm totally fine. We agreed not to see each other anymore, remember? I don't want to see you." He stated, his voice wavering just a smidgen at the end.
"But you're lying." Levi confirmed, pulling Eren closer to him. "I know you're not fine. I see it in your eyes, dumbass."
Eren had to lower his head to keep him from wanting to kiss Levi. He was so close. So defenseless. He could do it, right now, if it weren't for the voices in his head flowing around, saying he was a monster and that Levi would be disgusted.
Levi, also, felt this very foreign urge. It was so awkward and different to him, that he decided to follow what his heart wanted him to do. And what his heart wanted to do is twirl Eren around and kiss him. So that's what he did.
He twirled Eren around, who was confused at the moment, and gently and slowly closed the distance between them. Eren soon became wide-eyed, after knowing the new feeling go against lips. Levi didnt move, but kissed him without much pressure. Erens mind had gone blurry, and his eyes fluttered shut. Levi slowly lifted his hand up to Erens silky hair, who had kissed him back. The slow kiss continued, with true feeling in both of them.
Eren slowly pulled back to catch some air, his eyes and mind blurry. Levi took advantage of that, and slowly took Eren down on the bed. He again came in to give Eren a kiss, this time a bit more urgent. Eren returned that kiss, their lips fitting with the others perfectly.
Eren thought he was in heaven. Levi was passionately kissing him, and he was glad to return it. They were sometimes small, gentle kisses, and those were Erens favorite. Levi's hand started to run up his back, under his shirt, and that made Eren freeze. He had scars. He had secrets. He wasn't worth Levi. He wasn't allowed that privilege. He slowly kissed Levi back, one last time, and then shoved Levi off of him.
Levi, at the moment, was shocked. What the fuck just happened? Why was he kissing Eren? Why after so long did Eren reject him?
"Stop." Eren murmured, getting off the bed. "I'm sorry." He whispered, running straight out of the room. Out of all his training, he was able to hold back his tears and screams. But inside, all of the emotions he had were flowing uncontrollably. His love, his fears, his guilt. And how badly he felt about leaving Levi. But, it was for the best. Right?
Levi had stood still until he heard the noise of a door slam shut behind him. He then slowly got up, and picked up his cell phone and dialed a number.
"... Levi?"
"Hanji, I swear to fucking god I'm beating the shit out of whoever hurt him."
"Erwin!" Petra said, going over to hug Erwin. He smiled, letting his arms expand and clutched Petra when she entered them.
"Petra," he noted, kissing her forehead. "How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks! I'm thankful that you've came back." She noted, nuzzling herself under Erwin's shoulder.
"I've got us a place near my work called Five Guys. They've got some good burgers." Erwin noted, making Petra giggle.
"So, first date since you come back is some burgers?" He said happily, making Erwin have a true smile.
"Sorry, Hun. I've just craved some fast food for a while now." He noted, making Petra nod.
"How long will you stay here?" She asked, clutching onto his arm.
Erwin sighed. "Only for a few days." He said, a smirk falling on his face. "I have something to pick up."
Levi had flew into the office, making people loose their papers and adjust their suits. There was a deathly aura around him. He smashed the elevator button, then storming through the hallway.
Hanji acted as normal when the doors were whipped open, sipping her tea. She looked over at Levi, who flung himself in his chair, and put his head in his hands.
"What's up?" Hanji asked nonchalantly.
"I kissed him."
Hanji splurged her tea all over the table, shocked. "Damn it, don't mess up the carpet!" Levi argued, pretending he never said the previous sentence.
"You kissed him?!" She exclaimed, recovering. "Well, now, that's some progress!" She squealed, jumping up from the chair.
"What?"
"Oh, man, I already knew this would happen, but never this soon! Good for you!" Hanji stated, running around. "Whooooooooooooaaaaa!" She kept yelling as if her football team had scored a touchdown.
"Hold up, what do you mean you knew?" Levi questioned, a glare set upon her.
"Of course! Two lovebirds can't help it." She answered.
"He rejected me." Levi said bluntly.
"..." Hanji seemed to be in eternal thought. She hadn't moved a muscle since Levi said that. "As I also expected."
"What!" Levi said, slamming his hands on the table.
"Look, I thought you might've seen this already. Eren has been through a lot, Levi. And whether you think so or not, he judges himself on it everyday. That's what organisms do. He's probably had something said or done to him so many times that he's afraid to get close, or," she paused for a moment, "He's afraid that he might ruin you."
Levi kept silent for a moment. "... I have no idea where he is."
"Use your love-power to find him."
"For the last time, I don't-"
"You kissed him." Hanji bluntly said.
"... That doesn't mean anything."
Hanji laughed, amused by Levi's stubbornness.
