Hey all you people in Fanfiction world! Forest Dragon Slayer with the next chapter of The Dragon Slayer and the Swordswoman. Sorry for not posting in so long. School has started and I've become really busy. Hopefully my last chapter about Natsu and Kagura's first date went well with a lot of you. Unfortunately, I don't know the majority of your opinions because only 1 person reviewed the last chapter. I would like to thank ReadingBookGirl for doing so.

By the way, I'm sure I told you this last chapter but I'm starting to run out of ideas for this romance fanfic due to the fact I've never been in a romantic relationship of any kind. Obviously, I can't just start dating a random girl so I must ask of you readers for ideas. I can write a ton just from the ideas and I know you want me to continue this fanfic so please give me some inspiration. Even just a romantic scenario would be fine. Wow, that sounded desperate and/or pathetic. Ah well, I need the ideas.

Again, I know there are some of you out there who just get a fanficiton account to review stories or do other things except writing stories. Try writing something! I personally think it's a waste to not write them. Also, it's fun! If you got a story idea in your head, write it! If you need any sort of assistance to write one, I'll be happy to help. Yeah, I'll probably repeat this message the next few chapters.

Anyway, read, enjoy, and review!

"Why do we have to do this?" Eugene said in an annoyed tone as he and Wendy were walking through the forest sometime in the afternoon.

"Well, we are the only members of the guild that can use magic for medical purposes." Wendy replied. To explain the situation at hand, a sickness had been going around and Natsu is one of the people to catch it. Unfortunately, Natsu has a hard time controlling his magic when he's sick so Makarov sent Eugene and Wendy to make sure he doesn't burn down his house and the forest it's in.

"Wouldn't Droy fit the description as well then? He controls plants too you know. Anyway, we could've gotten Kagura to help take care of him." Eugene said with a sigh. "She is his girlfriend. She'd probably enjoy taking care of Natsu."

"The girls at the Mermaid Heel guild said that Kagura-san went out earlier and said she wouldn't be back for a few days." Wendy replied.

"Of course" Eugene said with slight annoyance. "Let's just check Natsu out, fireproof his house, and then go home." Pretty soon, they reached their destination as they saw the little sign with a drawing of both Natsu and Happy on it. "Well, we're here." Eugene said as he opened the door.

"Natsu-san, we're here to check up on you." Wendy said as the two entered the house. To their surprise and shock, they saw Natsu on the floor looking like he was close to death with Kagura standing next to him while holding a spoon and bowl of food.

"What the heck is going on here!?" Eugene exclaimed after seeing the scene in front of him as Wendy went to check on the close to dead looking Natsu.

"As his future wife, it is my duty to care for him so I came as soon as I heard of him becoming sick." Kagura replied calmly. So she's already thinking that far. Eugene thought with an anime tear drop.

"That still doesn't explain why Natsu's on the floor like that when all he has is a cold." Eugene said. "By the way, where did you get that?" he asked motioning to the bowl of food in Kagura's hands.

"I brought some ingredients from home and I made something for Natsu to get better." Kagura replied. Eugene got suspicious and headed for the kitchen. He saw a bigger pot on the stove and Eugene decided to try it. Kagura's eyes brightened at the thought of someone else enjoying her cooking. Unfortunately, soon after tasting it, Eugene's face paled and he fell unconscious.

"Eugene-san!" Wendy exclaimed with worry as she saw him hit the ground. "Kagura-san, what did you put in that food?" She asked as she started using her healing magic on the two dragon slayers.

"I'm not entirely sure." Kagura replied with a curious expression. "I knew Natsu liked slightly burnt food so I burned some ingredients and mashed them up with some other stuff." Wendy sweat dropped at that.

"You have no cooking experience whatsoever do you?" Eugene said as he struggled to get up onto his feet. "That tasted like Trekoda Mushrooms and they don't taste so pleasant." Kagura immediately went into a depressed state after that statement.

(Note: Trekoda Mushrooms do not exist. Well, at least I think they don't)

"I was never allowed to cook in the kitchen growing up." Kagura said depressingly.

"No wonder, your cooking should be considered a weapon instead of cuisine." Eugene said bluntly sending Kagura into a deeper state of depression.

"Eugene-san, you don't have to be so blunt." Wendy scolded. It was then the three of them heard Natsu beginning to awaken causing them to stop what they were doing.

"Man, what happened? Last thing I remember is getting sick and that Kagura came to visit me." Natsu said groggily. He then noticed that Kagura was indeed there with a teary look in her eyes.

"Thank goodness, I thought you'd never wake up!" Kagura sobbed as she jumped into Natsu's arms to his surprise and slight confusion.

"Kagura relax, I just got a cold, it's not like I got some deadly illness." Natsu replied trying to calm his girlfriend down. You might as well have considering you ate some of that stuff. Eugene thought in his mind.

"Anyway, how do you feel now Natsu-san?" Wendy asked as she pulled Kagura away (Remember, Natsu is still sick and therefore contagious) remembering their original objective of coming here.

"I feel completely fine now." Natsu replied with a grin as he sat up.. "It's like I never got the cold!"

"Then why is your blanket on fire?" Eugene questioned knowing that Natsu could not at the present time control the magic in his body due to his cold. Wendy and Kagura began panicking as they tried to find something to put out the fire. "It's not gonna help if you panic you know." Eugene said as he summoned some fire proof plants and stomped out the fire with it before wrapping Natsu in the large leaves of the said plant. "That takes care of the fire proofing, our work here is done." Eugene then began to leave knowing that Natsu would be in good hands with Kagura. Well, he hoped that at least Natsu wouldn't die from food poisoning overnight.

"Well then, we'll be taking our leave Natsu-san, Kagura-san." Wendy said politely before following after Eugene. This left the two of them in the house by themselves. They soon realized this fact leaving them extremely nervous and blushing furiously.

"It looks like it's just you and me huh?" Natsu said trying to break the awkward silence they had going on for a couple of minutes. Damn it, why am I so nervous? Natsu thought. She's my girlfriend, I should be more open with her.

"I-It seems to be." Kagura stuttered trying to hide her nervousness. I can't believe we're alone! Kagura thought a bit scared and nervous. And in Natsu's house even!

"How about we have some lunch?" Natsu suggested with a grin most of worries gone by now. "Or dinner depending on what time it is. I can't tell."

"Sure, just a sec!" Kagura said becoming less nervous after feeling the warmth from Natsu's smile. (Cheesy, I know) She then went into the kitchen and she was too caught up in her own little world, she had forgotten what her cooking had caused earlier. "Natsu, I cooked something for you." She said cheerfully as she came back into the bedroom.

"Awesome!" Natsu exclaimed excitedly remembering Kagura's rice balls but not her more deadly cooking. He enthusiastically took the bowl of food both of them blissfully unaware of how dangerous of a weapon it was a while ago. As the reader would expect, upon the first bite, Natsu felt sick and fell unconscious.

A few hours later…

"Man, this cold is getting worse if I'm passing out before I can taste Kagura's cooking." Natsu said as he saw that it was now the middle of the night. He looked around the room and to his surprise, he saw Kagura asleep right next to him in his bed. She must have fallen asleep while taking care of me. Natsu thought touched by the swordswoman's commitment. He then put the covers over both of them so that she could get warm. This led to Kagura unconsciously snuggling up to Natsu to his embarrassment. But after getting used to it, Natsu just smiled and kissed her on the forehead before saying goodnight. Needless to say, it became a very awkward situation for the couple in the morning.

2 days later…

"Looks like Natsu-nii is over his cold." Romeo said to his guild mates. "But why isn't he here?" Indeed, even after conquering his cold, Natsu hadn't come back to the guild.

"That's because Kagura's sick now." Eugene replied. "She must have caught it from Natsu when she came over. He's either on his way there or he's already at Kagura's place taking care of her."

"He is, I ran into him this morning and he said he was on his way there." Wendy said confirming Eugene's assumption.

"That sounds really romantic!" Lucy said with dreamy eyes. "Maybe I can put that scenario in my novel!"

"I think the only reason why you put other people's lives in your stories is because your life isn't so interesting." Happy commented in a teasing tone as usual.

"My life isn't boring!" Lucy exclaimed in protest.

"Anyway, it's very sweet of Natsu to do such an act." Erza said with a smile.

"It does get quiet though not having that flame brain around." Gray said remembering how around this time he'd normally be getting into an argument and then later fight with him, starting yet another guild brawl. But it was unusually quiet in the guild.

Elsewhere…

"Achoo!" Natsu sneezed after he was mentioned by his guild mates in the earlier mentioned conversation to his unknowing.

"Natsu, you don't have to do this, you could get sick again!" Kagura said from her bed. "See, you're already sneezing!" As Natsu's guild mates had predicted, Natsu had gone over to Kagura's house to take care of her while she was sick. Fortunately, her condition wasn't that bad and all she needed was some bed rest.

"Don't worry, I'm not getting sick." Natsu replied assuring her. "Eugene said that'd it'd be too big a pain if I got sick again so he gave me some sort of herbal vaccine."

"Still, I don't want you to catch it again." Kagura said as she pulled up her blanket as a makeshift mask to cover her nose and mouth.

"That didn't stop you did it?" Natsu questioned with a smile. "Now it's my turn to take care of you." Kagura blushed at this but it couldn't be seen by Natsu due to the blanket. "Anyway, time for lunch. I made some before I came here." He said as he got up and took some food out of the backpack he brought which was near the door of the bedroom.

"Wait, you can cook?" Kagura said in disbelief not really thinking of Natsu as the type.

"Well, except for Happy, I pretty much lived by myself. I had to learn at some point." Natsu replied feeling indifferent. "Why else would my house have a kitchen?" Suddenly, Kagura's perfect mental image of her future together with Natsu where she as the wife did the cooking of the household shattered at that statement. (She believes in the old traditional ways where the wife cooked for the husband) "Here you go. Sorry it's so simple" Natsu said giving Kagura a bento box. Upon opening it a delicious smell filled the room which whet the swordswoman's appetite.

"It's really delicious!" Kagura exclaimed after taking the first bite. After that, she just couldn't stop eating as she enjoyed every bite. It wasn't long before she finished with a sigh of satisfaction.

"Hey Kagura, you have some rice on your face." Natsu said as he plucked the rice grain off of Kagura's cheek causing her to blush for two reasons. One, the actual act Natsu did which she has seen done between couples and two, she just realized that she acted in her opinion less lady like and even got rice on her cheek which went against the etiquette she learned having to grow up like a noblewoman. (Well, it looked like she was raised like that. If anyone finds any evidence to find me wrong, please tell me.)

"I'm sorry for acting so un-lady like." Kagura apologized feeling like she lost favor in Natsu's eyes.

"It's fine, I've already told you before that you didn't have to care about your appearance too much around me." Natsu assured his girlfriend once more with his usual grin. "I like you for who you are, not for what society wants you to act."

"You're right, I shouldn't have to act as a different person." Kagura said sheepishly.

"Now that I think about it, I think the reason that I couldn't remember you when I saw you at the Grand Magic Games (or Danbatou Enbu) is because you always had that serious look on your face." Natsu said with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Did I really look that serious?" Kagura asked in surprise.

"Heck yeah!" Natsu replied with a slight grin. "You always had a cold expression on your face as if the world was your enemy." He said as he tried imitating Kagura's serious face causing the girl in question to laugh somewhat. Pretty soon, they both ended laughing and falling down on the bed.

"I think back then, I was so overwhelmed by hatred that I couldn't see anything else except for revenge." Kagura said after the laughing died down. "But now I have you and I couldn't be happier." She said this with a smile.

"Right back at you." Natsu replied with a kind smile. "And I'll always be there for you. That's a promise."

"And I promise to always be there for you." Kagura said as she snuggled up to Natsu who returned it this time, not feeling so awkward. For now, the two were content with just lying there in each other's arms.

Back at the guild hall…

"That's strange, something called Sorcerer Weekly magazine is coming to talk to Natsu and Kagura." Eugene said to himself as he saw the small notice on the bar counter. "Wait, what's a magazine?" (If you want to know why he doesn't know stuff like that, read my other fanfic)

Well, that wraps up another chapter! Hopefully, this was good enough for you readers. Again, I have no romantic experience so bear with me until I get the hang of it. By the way, usually, I write the beginning author's note before I write the actual chapter so some things have changed since then for my situation. During my time writing this chapter, I actually got an idea which hopefully is good which will last me at least 3 chapters. But feel free to continue giving me suggestions. Those ideas might help me improve on what I already have in mind.

Now that that's done, Forest Dragon Slayer signing off!
