Chihana's POV

" Where am I? What am I doing here? Where is 'here' exactly?," I asked myself as I wondered in the world where only darkness existed.

How did I end here in the first place? I barely see anything but darkness and MORE DARKNESS. Don't ask me whether I'm scare or not. Duuuhhh who doesn't get scared when they found themselves ALONE in a dark world.

I let my fears slide aside. I've been to many battles in the past but this was no different. So, I keep walking and keep walking…..

I don't know how long I have walked because there's no end to this darkness….what the hell?

" Yukiko….," a woman's voice echoed somewhere in the darkness.

" Who's there?!," I demanded, being on my guard. At least I'm not alone..but that name Yukiko….I haven't heard it since…only a few people know my real name….Yukiko….

" Yukiko…..," the same voice repeated. This time, more louder.

Who would call me Yukiko…and this voice…sounds awfully familiar. DON'T TELL ME!

I turned around only to see a black figure emerged slowly in the darkness. I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES. The moment I saw the clear view of that figure, I burst into tears.

" MOTHER!," I cried running towards her. I'm not sure this was an illusion or not because the thought of seeing my mother, really sooth me.

" Yukiko dear, I missed you," my 'mother' whispered in my ears.

" Ohhh…mother it's been so long," I replied. " I will avenge you and father's death…I'll promise.."

When I broke the hug, I almost screamed. I jumped back as my mother's flesh melt into slowly turned into a skeleton.

" Yukiko….why didn't you avenge us sooner!," the skeleton with the voice of my mother wailed angrily. Then, another skeleton appeared besides her, I guess it was my father.

" Please avenge us Yukiko…you know the suffering you endure all this years because of them..." the skeleton with the voice of my father agreed.

I feel like running. But my feet won't move…it's like something was pinning it on the ground. I watch helplessly as the two skeletons approached me slowly.

" No….you not my mom or dad..they won't do this to me!," I yelled furiously.

" Avenge ussss," the skeletons hissed as they lifted their bony fingers towards me.

" NO STAY AWAY! KYAAAA!," I screamed as the sharp fingers were inches away from my face.

I woke up screaming on top of my lungs. I took me 10 seconds to realize I was on the airship. Several passengers tossed me their curious, irritated and concern expression.

" A dream…just a dream…," I sighed with relief. I looked at the window next to me. It was dark, indicates it's already night time. Beneath me, was sparkling and shiny lights of cities. That's right, I supposed to go to York New City.

The sooner of better. The reason I joined the Hunter Exam in the first place was only to get the license and finally kill whoever and whenever I wanted. My target, who was aqquantance which my parents' killer should be down there somewhere.

" Attention passengers, we're about to reaching the landing site so please put on your seatbelts and wait further instruction from the crew," the captain announced.

10 minutes Later

Finally! I don't know how long I've been in the airship because I butt is hurt right now! Getting out, was soooooo worfit.

I made my way to the heart of the city. That's probably because there's more people gathering there including target. I might have picked the wrong time coming here because the streets was crowded than I expected.

Is there some sort of festival of something? Like I care anyway….I was standing in the middle of the crowds thinking what should I do in the first place and where should I go in the first place. Oh Chihana, YOU NOT LOST AREN'T YOU? I finally got here but...I sweat-dropped thinking how dumb I am for coming here without a plan.

While I was in a dazed, I felt a soft tap on my shoulder. Acting directly on my instinct, I took out my kunai and turned around. I was ready to strike whoever touched me on purpose.

To my surprise, I found myself looking at the blonde boy that I met during the exam.

" Kurapika…is that you?," I asked in disbelief. Is that really Kurapika in front of me? No way! NO HELL WAY! Not at times like this…Besides, the Kurapika I've knew wears different kind of outfit and have shorter hair.

Well I should speak for myself because I changed my appearance as well. The long hair that I have during the exam..well SAYONARA to all of it.

" I thought it might be you…," he grinned, making me blush slightly. I don't know why I'm feeling like this because everytime he smiles, it brings warm feeling in my heart. Heh? Did I just say that?

" Uhh…what are you doing here?," I asked directly, unable to hold my curiosity.

Kurapika looked at me as if I was unhappy with his presence. " For my job that's it," he replied short. " And you?"

I sweat-dropped and let out a nervous laugh. " Something…," I replied as he looked at me curiously.

I can't say, ' You know what, I tried to find a person who's responsible for my parents death and I killed a lot of people to crack the truth.' Uh uh…..definitely not.

" Sooka….," he shot me another of his suspicious looks.

No! I can't let him see through me….'What should I do? What should I should do?,' I thought with panic swept over my mind. I

" Oh Kurapika! Ice-cream!," I shouted, pointing at an ice-cream stall.

Kurapika turned and looked at the store in his uninterested look. Before he knew what was happening, I grabbed his arm forcefully and both of us walked to the stall.

" Oi! Chihana-san….," he said as I chained him in my iron grip.

" Whoa, there's a lot of flavor here Kurapika…which do you want?," I asked, looking at different colour of ice-cream in the display case.

"…"

I sighed. Kurapika was trying to play hard to get again. I looked at the man and pointed at the pink colour ice-cream. "Two strawberry flavor please…" I said in a cheerful voice.

I looked at Kurapika who have holding his own ice cream cone in his emotionless expression.

" Uhh….," he tried to say something.

I chuckled and licked my ice cream. " Come on Kurapika! It's really good!," I said enjoying my ice cream. Well, having ice cream in Yorknew City isn't what I have in mind. I'm supposed to look for my KILLERS not ENJOYING ice cream with a person especially Kurapika.

He looked at his cone. Then at me. Then at the cone, then back at me. Finally, he smiled slightly and licked his strawberry flavor ice cream. I don't know what Kurapika was thinking when he looked at me or the ice cream ( -_- )

" Hey! Kurapika! Chihana? Are you two eating ice together?!," an innocent voice called out for us. I looked away from Kurapika and saw Gon, Killua and Leorio walking towards us.

" Well Gon duhhh! I suspect these two have relationship all along!," Killua told him.

" Tch! Kurapika! You really a womanizer. You sure lucky to have date with Chihana-chan," Leorio snorted with slight jealousy in his voice.

I swear both of our faces turns red. Kurapika was about to 'murder' Leorio but I raised my arm, stopping him to do so " N-No guys..it's not like that…we just having ice cream-," I assured them.

" Alone in the middle of the crowds? Night?," Killua smirked.

" Most importantly, what brings you guys here?," Kurapika asked ignoring Killua's statement. But I can feel he's embarrass as I am. ( He's still holding his ice cream. -_- )

" We just earning money here," Gon replied energetically. " And you Chihana-san? I haven't see you for a long time since-"

" Since the Hunter Exam and Killua case," I continued. " I see you guys managed to brought Killua back…how fortunate…"

Killua tossed me his irritated look with angry red vein popped on his forehead. "What's up with that tune? "

I chuckled and pat his head. I looked at Kurapika, STILL HOLDING HIS FRESH ICE CREAM. I sweat-dropped because I already finished mine. Does he have any intentions to finish it?

Killua and Leorio looked at each other and nodded. " So….we gonna earm more money now..so catch you later," Killua told us and grabbed the confused and clueless Gon with him.

" We'll be at Rosevelt Hotel if you need us," Leorio called and three of them left.

Wait? Does that mean they intend to give me and Kurapika more personal space?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

" So, what should we do now," Kurapika asked, still holding his ice cream. If I had my way now, I would use that ice cream and stick on his hair for not finishing it.

I gulped as I looked at him nervously. Looking for my KILLERS what else?!
