Chapter 29:
"I really don't think this idiot knows what he's gotten himself into" Sting whispered over to Lucy who nodded her head in agreement, watching as Orga and Laxus stood in front of each other with undescribed expressions plastered all over their faces. Orga at the most looked more nervous than Laxus who just glared daggers at him.
"He's really asking for a death wish" Lucy said her eyes widening, looking over at Laxus who had the angriest expression that she's ever seen in her life. He didn't look pissed nope that didn't describe it one bit; he looked exasperated to the complete maximum as if not even the cheeriest thing in Fiore could calm his temper and mood right now.
"I'm going to say this in the nicest way possible" Laxus said with his arms folded, his intenseness in his eyes growing each second, "Tell me who the hell you think you are talking about Mirajane like that, have you forgotten that she beat Minerva's ass, and I'll be glad enough to do that to you but ten times worse"
Orga hesitated for a minor second before switching his gaze towards Minerva who was sitting on one of the benches with one leg crossed over the other. A tension was rising in her eyes as she was expecting for him to reply back to the Lightning Dragon Slayer since she didn't intend for Orga to look like a complete idiot just gawking like that.
"Well bastard, are you going to answer me or am I going to have to pry it out of you" Laxus threatened as the aura around him began creating sparks of lightning that began flying everywhere, "Now tell me your damn reason before I wipe that little grin off your face."
"I think it's going to be the other way around Fairy trash, to begin with Sabertooth will always be number one with you all behind us. And I'll be the one showing you what happens when you make a fool out of Minerva, once I get past you I'm going after Mirajane next to teach her a lesson of my own."
"I don't think he's understanding the concept that he's challenging S-Class mages" Gray snickered beside Mirajane who giggled at his reaction. She clearly wasn't feeling threatened at all by Orga's statement he had just spoken out to all of them. Sure he was considered one of top strongest mages in Sabertooth, but it didn't mean he was an S-Class mage whos skills were far greater than the ordinary mage. And besides, why would she be worried when Jura had taken him out in one punch at the Grand Magic Games.
"Oh who even cares, it's going to be a hell of an entertainment to see these two clash since I wasn't even able to see them on the final day of the Grand Magic Games" Natsu chuckled as a toothy grin now took it's placed curling up onto his lips, "Even though I already can tell what the turnout is probably going to be."
"Aye sir, Laxus is one of the strongest." Happy said floating above the Fire Dragon Slayer's shoulder, "I'm sure he'll be able to manage this, if he was able to beat Jura one of the wizard saints, then I'm pretty sure he'll pull through this."
"You've got a point there" Lucy said as her eyes than focused over to Laxus who was completely surrounded by his lightning, which only meant one thing. The two of them were about to clash in a matter of seconds which meant it'd be a great opportunity for them to back up a little bit.
"Hey I don't see why you're poking me back blondie" Sting said placing his hands on his hips, zooming his face into the celestial mage's, "Or are you poking me back since you think I'm going to get hurt, don't worry so much there's no way the Great Sting will ever manage to-"
"Lightning Dragon Slayer Roar!"
"120mm Black Lightning Cannon!"
Before Sting could even finish his sentence, he felt a strong wave rush through his veins as he felt his heart pounding at the sudden stinging sensation he was feeling. He soon began to feel light-headed, as in a matter of seconds, a small grin perked up onto his lips before slowly falling back onto the ground. Beside him, Lucy just shook her head making a "Tch" remark as she soon drew her attention back to Laxus and Orga who were finally clashing at one another.
"Before I literally begin to take you seriously, do you have anything to say before you're humiliated in front of your witch, and the rest of the guilds?" Laxus said tilting his head to the side, folding his arms, "I have an extremely busy day today with Mirajane and the others, and you're just hogging up my time. Consider at this absolute moment, me going full force on you."
As that was once said, Laxus had shifted himself into a lightning bolt as he began zipping into different directions which caused Orga to swing his head in every direction as well as his fist. He was trying to find a precise moment to strike full out; a moment where Orga had fully dropped his guard.
Laxus began to gather large amounts of lightning around one of his fists, slowly bending it, and extending into a swift punch motion. This prompts his Magic Seal to appear before him which was an over-sized of his fist, completely composed of his lightning, as it soon was generated and fired towards Orga who had dropped his guard down.
"Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist"
At that second, Orga felt his body completely stunned from the impact he had just received from the Lightning Dragon Slayer. He really didn't think that his move would've stunned him, and that left him completely opened to more of Laxus' attacks.
"Come on Laxus, you can do this!" Mirajane praised, waving her hands in the air, "I fully believe in you!"
"Oh please, I'm sure Orga will now be able to defend himself against Laxus" Minerva smirked, narrowing her eyes towards the Lightning God Slayer, "He's advanced quite a lot, preparing for this day where he'd actually be able to take Laxus on himself. And let's just say that I have confidence that Orga will wipe the floor with that piece of fairy trash."
"I don't appreciate you calling my comrades that foul name all the time" Erza suddenly said sitting between Minerva and Mirajane, "Or I'll pierce their names into your heart until you finally understand the meaning and point of them having names."
"On the contrary, I definitely believe that Laxus will be the winner of this battle" Jellal said snickering towards Minerva who growled in response. He found it quite entertaining to annoy Minerva since he was Erza's love interest, and she despised the re-quip mage. Sort of a duo, when it came to annoying Minerva.
"May I also remind you Minerva, that we fought each other for Laxus which in the end, I succeeded in." Mirajane added as Minerva rolled her eyes at the Strauss sibling. Her eyes then flickered back to Laxus and Orga as she saw a flashy, hand aim itself towards Orga.
A fist soon crashed itself against Orga's cheek that caused him to flinch quickly before regaining his battle stance. He slowly shut his eyes trying to concentrate on the movement that Laxus' bolt would go into, so that he'd find the perfect moment to finally counter attack.
"It ain't great if you close your eyes during a battle, guess you're going to have a little taste of something I used on Mystogan back then" Laxus scowled as he soon stood in front of Orga with an amused grin plastered onto his lips, "Lightning Eruption."
Orga then widened his eyes, looking downward at the ground which began generating Laxus' lightning to electrocute its opponents on the ground. Before Orga could even use his magic, he was sent flying meters into the air. He cursed under his breath since this was an extreme pain in the ass that he was now in the freaking air.
Even though Orga was still in the air, he knew that right now would be a time to strike at Laxus. He then brought one of his arms in front of him slightly bending his elbow, creating a very enormous sphere of black lightning. Once he formed the sphere, he swung it towards Laxus who furrowed an eyebrow at the black sphere heading his way.
"I think I have an idea on what he's going to be doing now"
Lucy looked to the side of her to see that Sting had finally regained his consciousness from being knocked out by one of their lightning bolts. She could tell that by the look in his eye, he was growing interested on how this would actually end up.
"It doesn't look to me that Laxus is going to move an inch from there, do you think he's going to be taking the hit. I mean that looks like an extreme amount of magic energy that was piled into that one sphere full of Lightning God Slayer Magic" Lucy said raising a hand over to her mouth as she watched the sphere soon collide with Laxus.
"What is he even doing?" Gray said gawking as an extreme dust wind began to blow fiercely against his raven hair, "It's not like Laxus to be taking hits out of the blue like that without even trying to attack back! I would've thought that the least he would've done is dodge it."
"Gray-sama, Juvia thinks that Laxus probably has a strategy towards this" Juvia said in a sweetened tone, popping her head from behind Gray's shoulder, "Juvia also thinks that Laxus was probably saving up for something big since you're right, it's not like him to just take things."
"I'm rooting for the other blondie!" Sting hailed, raising a fist into the air, "Team Blonde alright show that Sabertooth bastard that blondes are the best assholes around!"
"You're part of Sabertooth idiot" Rogue said pinching the bridge of his nose, before a memory soon popped into his mind. He had completely forgotten on what he wanted to tell Levy, and he was pretty sure she would approve of his decision.
"I guess I'll tell her after this is over" Rogue muttered under his breath which made Sting furrow an eyebrow at the fact he had just heard the Shadow Dragon Slayer talking to himself. Oh well to him, Rogue was already mysterious and weird enough.
"Ryos, you should stop talking to yourself" Gajeel snorted, folding his arms, "Or Shrimp is going to think you're some freak or something, and she'll probably stop hanging out with you. Ghehe"
Rogue completely ignored the Iron Dragon Slayer's statement as his eyes then darted back towards the field which was completely cleared out from the dust that was blown, and now Laxus and Orga were now visible to their eyes. To be honest, Rogue really wanted to cheer on Laxus but he felt like Minerva would have some freak out about it later. And right now, dealing with Minerva at this exact second was at the bottom of his to-do list.
Laxus panted out slowly, before a smirk took its place onto his lips, "You fell for it."
Once Laxus had said that, Orga felt completely paralyzed as he looked below him to see the charges of lightning electrocuting his feet below him as it swiftly went upward. His eyes then dazed over to Laxus who was charging towards him with a lightning imbued fist.
"Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Roaring Thunder."
Orga was soon directly pierced in the face as he was sent sailing towards Minerva whos frustration was getting to the best of her. With a glare plastered onto her expression, she intensely swift her hand to the side which made Orga disappear in front of her. She groaned in irritation before walking away, cursing to herself, and giving the Fairy Tail mages one more glare.
"What I tell you, he was planning a little secret attack, and to think Orga was dense enough to fall for it" Sting chuckled to himself, snaking his arm around the celestial mages, "And besides blondie, we have a busy day today with everyone!"
Lucy nodded her head in agreement as she watched Mirajane scramble into Laxus' arms, glistening a radiant smile at the Lightning Dragon Slayer. Of course, Laxus would've won that battle and Mirajane won the one against Minerva. They were S-Class mages after all, and she knew that Sabertooth soon had to start learning not to underestimate Fairy Tail.
"Levy, I'd like to speak to you."
The script-mage darted her hazel eyes from her book, as she noticed that the one that called her name was non-other than Rogue who had a smile on his lips. A grin formed on her lips, before she swiftly smacked the book closed, eager to hear on what he had to say.
"Yes Rogue, what is it?"
"I'd like to join Fairy Tail."
