Finally got back from my Thanksgiving vacation and now I'm ready to continue writing this story. Last time we left off Red met a strange face for the first time and now he promises that he will ruin Red's life, but is that all he's up to? Who knows maybe he won't be that much of a problem. Honestly how much trouble can he actually cause in one night?
Chapter 13: The Evil Within The Shadows
Setting: Red's Room
He opened his eyes and saw Pikachu, Flygon, and Jolteon all looking down at him "Hey you guys its ok I'm alright." He stood himself up popping his back and neck. The Pokemon looked at him dazed, confused, and a little bit scared. He took a step towards them as they took two steps back "What's wrong? Don't you want to spend time together?" Jolteon looked at him angry. "Jolteon why are you so mad? Pikachu come on. You too Flygon." He said gesturing his hand as a warm welcome. Pikachu slowly made its way to him along with Flygon; he slowly picked up Pikachu and began to pet it in its favorite spot putting it at ease. Jolteon stayed away and instead went to the end of the room where it will take a nap. "That's Jolteon for you. Ok guys I'm going to go to the bathroom for a bit." He set Pikachu on the bed and headed for the bathroom. When inside he opened the cabinet for the white hair dye and began to use it. Once his hair was white he looked at the mirror to make sure it was alright "Pokémon check. Now the next thing on my list is to convince all of Red's stupid friends that I'm him." Shadow said with a smile.
As he walked out the Pokémon looked confused again "Oh sorry I just thought I try for a new look is all." He put on his coat and grabbed the keys to his room "I'm going to go out for a bit see you when I get back." Before he opened the door he glanced down at a small table where Red's hat was "I've always hated that thing." He slowly placed it on his head and left the room.
Setting: Hallways
Shadow was walking down the hall when he crossed paths with Brent "Get out of the way loser." Shadow said pushing Brent into the wall. "Hey what's your problem asshole." Brent said grabbing Shadow by the shirt collar and shoving him into the wall. "You're my problem and I think it's about time someone taught you a lesson in manners." Shadow pushed himself off the wall and reversed it on Brent by grabbing him by the collar and slamming him into the wall. "And I know just how to do it." Shadow gave a sinister smile.
Setting: Infirmary
"Why do you have to lie?" Jennifer asked "I'm not. I'm actually telling the truth." Brent replied as Jennifer was using a cotton swab to clean the scars on Brent's face. Jennifer went to the trash can to throw away the used swab "It's bad enough you lie, but now you're making lies about Red." "I'm telling you something's not right about him. It's like...it wasn't him." Brent said thinking about it. Jennifer rolled her eyes "Well maybe Red was tired of you picking on him that is if he did do this to you." Jennifer replied. "Do you think I did this to myself?" Jennifer nodded. "Wow. You see that right there just makes it difficult for our relationship." Brent said crossing his arms "First of all gross. Second we are never going to be an item." Jennifer replied. "You're right we aren't going to be an item we are going to be in a relationship." Brent replied "You're dumb to think I would date you." "Why?" He asked her "That's because I like somebody else." "Don't tell me." Brent replied rolling his eyes "Ok if you say so." Brent gave a confused look. "What?" He asked "You told me not to tell you so I won't." She replied while washing her hands and tossing the used gloves away. "Now you start listening to me." Jennifer laughed "That was like a one time thing." Brent rose up from the seat "I could leave you know. I don't have to take this from you." Jennifer waved by and went to her office. "I'm going!" He shouted but there was no reply "Once I leave who knows when I'll be back." There was silence. "At least pretend you care," He whispered; he then left the room.
In Jennifer's office we find Jennifer smiling, but not because of Brent "I thought he would never leave." "Yeah I know, but I'm glad he's gone now so I can spend some time with you Red." She smiled. "Me too Jen." He replied as he sat on top of her desk "Did you hear that conversation?" Shadow nodded "Did you really beat him up?" Shadow let out a sigh and he got off her desk. "Yeah, but please don't be mad I just needed to show him I'm not weak." He said walking towards her. "No its okay Brent could use a little manner in respect like you." She replied. "By the way that's not all I heard. I heard you say you have a little crush on someone." Jennifer began to blush. "Oh you heard that." Shadow nodded holding Jennifer's hand "Yeah mind telling me who that is?" He smiled. "I think you should know who that is." The two looked at each other as Jennifer slowly leaned forward. Before Jennifer could do anything Shadow placed a finger between them "I'd love to continue, but I must be going I'm sorry." Jennifer brushed some of her hair out of her eyes "No its fine." She said softly. Shadow kissed her forehead before leaving; Jennifer went to her desk and just rested her head.
Setting: Hallways
Shadow looked back at the Infirmary after walking out "That's another one down and now next on my list." "Hey Red." Shadow looked to see Anna. "Oh...um...Hey Anna." He replied nervously "Red do you think we can have a battle." She asked. "A battle? No I don't have time for it I need to find Clair." He said upset. "Please I've gotten really good. A lot better since the last time you and I battled and." "No!" Shadow shouted "I mean no. A battle with you would be pointless. I wouldn't gain any experience after beating you now leave me alone." He said walking away. Anna stood there having a tear go down the side of her face "but I've gotten better." Anna turned around and ran in the other direction. Shadow looked back with villainous smile "Oh Red look what you did you made Anna cry, you're flirting with Jen, and you beat up Brent. Now you're going to mess with Clair and Cheyrll at the same time like taking out two birds with one stone." He laughed.
As Cheyrll was walking down the hall she was holding a small card in her hand "I wonder what Red wants to talk about? Maybe its about what happened after our date." She smiled recalling the look he had after she kissed him. I hope I'm not going to be late." She said glancing at the clock as many thoughts went through her head curious to what Red wanted.
Clair and Red were talking outside of Clair's room "So Clair what are you going to do today?" "I'm not sure why do you ask?" Clair asked. "Why don't you throw a party?" Shadow suggested "A party?" Shadow nodded. "Yeah just you and the girls kind of like a slumber party or something." "Yeah okay. I haven't been to slumber party in a long time." Clair replied. "Ok see then its a perfect idea." Clair nodded "Now I need to know what I'm going to wear?" Clair said thinking "Well it won't matter because you'll look beautiful no matter what you wear." He smiled. Clair turned to Shadow with bright red cheeks "Well I'm not sure about that." She said hugging him. He brushed her hair out of her face as he leaned in and kissed her. There was silence; the only sound that could be heard was the sound of a small card falling to the floor after being dropped. Cheyrll's face was full of shock at what she was seeing and when their kiss broke he looked right at her bright green eyes as she covered her mouth trying not to make a sound as her eyes were covered with tears, and she then took off not making a sound.
Clair who was unaware of Cheyrll seeing them just stared at Shadow with a smile "What was that Red?" She asked softly. "That was a kiss my dear." She let out a small laugh "I know that. I mean does this mean something?" "Maybe." He kissed her forehead "Go plan your party." She smiled then walked in her room. As she was out of sight his smile quickly faded "That took longer then expected, but to get her on my side is all I need. With Jen and Clair wrapped around my finger, Cheyrll and Anna broken hearted losing all their trust in Red, and Brent too weak to do anything that leaves only a few more things before my true plan can come into action." Shadow smirked; he whistled his way down the hall slowly.
Setting: Riverside
As Ash and Brock went to go get more firewood Misty, Azurill, Rosa, and Riolu sat on a rock putting their feet in the water. "So Misty why don't you tell me about yourself?" Rosa asked starting a conversation "Well what do you want to know?" Rosa thought for a bit. "How long have you known Ash and Brock?" "Well I've known Ash since he was ten and when he was just starting out as a Pokémon trainer. Then I met Brock when Ash and I went to Pewter City for his first gym battle." "That's cool." Rosa replied. "Hey Rosa where did you get your Riolu?" Misty asked "Actually to be honest with you Riolu was given to me by someone real close to me." "Who's that?" Misty replied curious. "I don't like to talk about it that much. I haven't seen the person in over a few months now." "Oh I'm sorry." Rosa glanced up at the night sky "It's okay because I know that that person is still out there and we're going to meet each other again." Rosa smiled. Misty looked at the stars giving some thought on what Rosa was saying "Do you have anyone special to you Misty?" Rosa asked.
"Other than family I never had time to think about it?" "You have time now." Misty gave a nervous look "Well I guess my close friends." Misty added. "Anybody else?" "Well I guess there was this one guy I used to date who cared about me a lot and I cared for him." Rosa gave an intrigued look. "I have this strange sense that I know who you're talking about, but go on." "Well it didn't work out between us with girls all over him, and him being busy all the time we didn't get to spend much time together." Misty explained. While the two were continuing their conversation a certain trio were watching them from the air balloon "Look it's the old twerp and that new one. Quick let's grab their Pokémon when they least expect it." "But Jessie I'm too tired to kidnap Pokémon." "Yeah and my little paws are sore." Meowth and James complained. Jessie looked at them with fire in her eyes "Then you two can call the boss and tell why we haven't been able to catch a single Pokémon so quiet your whining and do what I say!" She yelled. "Yes ma'am." They said getting ready the equipment ready.
"So Misty do you think I can ask who that boy is you were talking about earlier or is it too personal?" Rosa asked "Its fine. His name is." Suddenly Azurill and Riolu were grabbed by two mechanical hands and placed in a container underneath an air balloon basket. "Riolu!" "Azurill!" They cried "Prepare for trouble." "And make it double." "To protect the world from devastation." "To unite all people within our nation." "Staryu use water gun." Misty shouted tossing the pokeball in the air. Misty's Staryu appeared and fired its Water Gun towards Team Rocket, but as the move closed in Meowth guided the robot arms to deflect the blast. "What's the big idea attacking us while we were in the middle of our motto." Jessie shouted "We work hard on remembering it and you should know our fans except it out of us." James added. "We don't have time for this Team Rocket. Staryu Tackle attack." Staryu charged straight ahead "No so fast." Meowth replied then pressed one of the buttons on the remote. The robotic arm punched Staryu and sent it slamming into a tree.
"We'll be taking that." Meowth then got a hold of Staryu and placed it in the container with Azurill and Riolu. "They've got Staryu now." Misty said "Misty let me handle this." Rosa smiled "Okay." Misty replied in agreement. "Riolu try an aura Sphere." Riolu perked up then fired an Aura Sphere at the center of the container, but it barely left a mark. Riolu continuously tried to break the container using Aura Sphere "Haha nice try pinky, but there is no way you'll be able to break that container. We used all we had to make that case indestructible, so just save you're breath." Meowth gloated. "Meowth exactly where'd you get the money to buy that?" James asked. "Through yours and Jessie's account of course." "What! That money was going to a new haircut you fur ball!" Jessie said strangling him "Next time use your own hard earn money." James added. "Riolu will get tired before it even makes a dent in that case." Misty stated "Don't worry I know Riolu won't give up." Rosa replied "But just in case." Rosa then pulled out two more pokeballs .
As Riolu kept trying to break free she was causing the balloon "Hey Meowth are you sure it won't break through?" James asked "Of course Jimmy. Those Aura Spheres won't do anything to that case." "Hey you pink rat quit shaking our balloon." Jessie shouted. Riolu began to yell back at Jessie "Meowth translation." "Riolu says no one calls it a pink rat and gets away with it you old hag." "Old hag." A vein was about to burst from Jessie's forehead "I'll show you." She aimed a rocket launcher towards the cage. "Stop Jess you can't fire that rocket it might weaken the cable or the cage." Riolu glanced back at the center of the cage then took a few deep breathes before preparing to try a different attack. "Looks like Riolu is trying a different move instead of Aura Sphere." Misty pointed out to Rosa "It's Flash Cannon." Rosa smiled. Riolu took aim and used all the energy it had into the attack then fired straight towards the center.
"Did you hear that Ash?" Brock asked looking back towards the camp "Yeah sounds like it came from the camp. Let's go see if the girls are okay." The two began to rush back towards the camp carrying a large supply of firewood. Pikachu had a hard time trying to keep with a piece of firewood in its way. Back at the river Team Rocket looked to see what had happen and they find out that Riolu was actually able to break free. Riolu waved to Rosa through the large hole in the center of the case "You did it Riolu." Rosa smiled. "Meowth let's get going before the Pokémon decide to jump." Jessie advised "You're right Jess here we go." As the balloon began to get higher off the ground Riolu fell back inside the case and when it looked they were to high up to make a safe landing. "What's going on?" Ash asked along with Brock "It's Team Rocket again." Misty replied "Okay. Pikachu use Thunderbolt." "Ash you can't use Thunderbolt Riolu, Azurill, and Staryu are up there!" Misty yelled "How was I supposed to know that." Ash replied softly. "Don't worry Ash I can handle this." "Go for it Rosa." Ash smiled "Alright Pidgeot and Bellossom come on out." The two Pokémon appeared in front of Rosa "Wow you have a Pidgeot and Bellossom." Ash said excited. Rosa nodded "Okay Pidgeot you need to take Bellossom up to hat balloon to help get Riolu and the other Pokémon down safely." Bellossom gave a cheer as it hopped onto Pidgeot's back then Pidgeot took off towards the air balloon.
"Pidgeot and Bellossom twelve o'clock." Meowth announced "Go Arbok use your Poison Sting." "Victreebel Razor Leaf attack." Victreebel appeared, but it was latched onto James head "learn to train that thing." Meowth shouted. Arbok tried to hit Pidgeot, but the balloon basket was too crowded for Arbok to get its aim right. Suddenly Wobbuffet had come out of its pokeball "Wobbuffet no one said for you to come out of your pokeball." The balloon began to slowly lower with the increase in weight "bwah were too heavy we're starting to float down. With Staryu on Pidgeot's back Riolu assisted Azurill up and out of the cage "The Pokémon we stole are escaping." Meowth said. The group glanced up as Pidgeot rose up to Team Rocket "Solarbeam Bellossom." Bellossom pedals on its forehead shined bright before firing a powerful ray of light. The balloon was shot down and as it crashed in the river Pidgeot safely brought back all the Pokémon "Are you okay Staryu?" Misty replied holding Staryu in her arms "You all did great." Rosa smiled petting Pidgeot. Ash looked at the balloon when Team Rocket was trying escape "Where do you three think you're going. Pikachu how about using a Thunderbolt?" Pikachu nodded before charging up. Team Rocket gave a worried look and began to make a run for it, but Pikachu was able to charge up enough to zap them and send Team Rocket flying. "Looks like we're blasting off again. The trio shouted before vanishing out of their sights.
"Well if everyone is alright how's about some dinner?" "That sounds great Brock I've been dying to have some of your cooking again." Ash replied. "We will help set the table won' we Rosa." Rosa nodded in reply "Are you guys hungry?" Rosa asked the Pokémon getting cheers of joy in reply. "Well then let's go get ready to eat." The group then headed back to the campsite where they will enjoy their dinner.
Setting: J's airship
"Hey Meowth where are we?" James asked "I'm not sure it looks like some kind of plane or something." Meowth replied looking around. Jessie walked around the area "Well wherever we are they sure do ike their needs of transportation." Jessie was then hit with an idea "I've got it." Meowth and James gave a confused look "Got what Jess?" James asked. "A plan. We'll take over this plane in the name of Team Rocket the boss will be so proud." Jessie laughed. "How are we going to do that when we don't have any equipment?" Meowth asked. "I have a plan for that to." Jessie replied "I was afraid you say that." "We'll just use the equipment that they have here and use it against them. They'll never expect it." Jessie laughed. "Do you think we can actually do it Jess?" James asked "Of course and when we take this plane in the name of Team Rocket the boss will finally give us the respect that we deserve." Jessie replied cheerfully. "Okay you have me convinced and once we succeed the boss will finally choose me over that lousy Persian." Meowth cried. "Alright lets get to it." Meowth and James nodded in agreement, but before their plan could take action they heard footsteps closing in on them and someone clapping. They turned back to see who had caught them "That's an excellent plan taking over the airship for your own purposes, but there is one problem with that." "Hey look its that kid from the forest." Meowth mentioned. "What's wrong with my plan?" Jessie asked "Me and the fact that it interferes with my plans, but since you came all this way I could use you three for some information." He gave them a devious smile. The trio gave a confused yet somewhat worried look at his response.
Setting: Prison Cell
The room was dark as usual with Jessie and Meowth trapped inside with Meowth extremely injured. The door was swung open and James was thrown inside trying to rise up "James are you ok?" The two asked heading towards James. "I guess I've got everything I need." Shadow glances toward Jessie "Looks like you get it off easy." He smirked. "What's wrong with you? Are you insane?" "Partially insane, but I'm mostly evil." Jessie and Meowth helped James up off the bloody floor. Shadow began smiling "What are you smiling about?" "Your pain it reminds of someone that used to be in here. Back then I couldn't do anything, but it's not like I would've helped the guy." He replied. "Who are you anyways?" Meowth struggled to get those words out of his throat "I'm your worst nightmare come true and since I don't need you three anymore why don't we take a trip to the drop off zone." He said grabbing Meowth and James with one hand and he dragged Jessie with the other.
Setting: Drop off Zone
Shadow had tossed Team Rocket towards the back of the ship; he then pushed a button that opened the back gates. The cold air from outside entered the room bringing the temperature to about thirty degrees. They looked over the edge as the drop seemed to go on forever "Have a nice fall." Shadow pushed the three off the ship then closed the gates "What are you: doing down here Red?" Zane asked as he was walking down the steps through the entrance. "Uh...Zane I didn't." "I thought I heard more voices?" He questioned "No it was just the echo in here yeah and J told me to make sure the gates were sealed up tight." He replied glancing back at the gates. Zane gave a confused look "Zane come here I want to talk to you about something. I know you and I aren't the best of friends, but that doesn't mean we can't hang out or do stuff." Shadow then placed his arm over Zane's shoulder leading him out of the room. "Oh yeah and what exactly are we going to do?" Zane asked "Oh don't worry I got the whole thing planned out." Shadow smiled as he and Zane left the room.
Shadow's ruining everything so far what to do what to do? Wait how did? You're supposed to be...Hehe sorry writer, but I'm in control and with you and Red out of my way my plan is another step closer to success.
