Hello fellow readers the names Shadow. You might remember me when I beat Red and I messed with some of his friends from the last chapter, but the night is still young and there are more people to mess with, more things to come into place, and more things for me to ruin.
Chapter 14: The Icing on the Cake
Setting: Elite's Lounge
Shadow and Zane were in the lounge baking a cake "So Red how is this fun?" Zane asked annoyed. "Trust me Zane this will be fun when we finish it." Shadow smiled while placing the icing on the cake. "What is the point of this?" "We're making this for the girls' party." Zane rolled his eyes "But why it's not like they let you in since its girls only." Zane replied. "Trust me they'll love it and once they get a taste of this cake the flavor will explode their taste buds. After that they'll be forcing you into that party." Shadow smiled. Zane like the sound of going to an all girl's party "You really think so?" Zane asked with a smirk "Zane I know so." Shadow replied. "Well let's get this cake project moving then Red." Zane grabbed the apron and helped Shadow with the icing.
Setting: Infirmary
Clair was visiting Jennifer hoping that she could talk her into going to the party she was having in an hour. "So will you come?" "I'm a little too old for a slumber party Clair." Jennifer replied "Why not? When was the last time we ever had a party or anything like that?" "We've never had one." "See that's why we need to throw this one." Jennifer turned to grab some folders. "I can't go I'm too busy here." "Doing what?" Clair asked "I have to file all these into the cabinets." She replied acting as if she was filing. Clair rolled her eyes, and then snatched the folder out of Jennifer's hand "Jennifer I know you're not really doing anything. You're just faking it." Jennifer gave a shocked look "I am not." "Really." Clair replied. "There isn't even anything in this folder." She said opening the folder "And that cabinet of yours is the mini fridge." Jennifer glanced at the fridge "So that's where the cold breeze came from." Jennifer whispered. Jennifer closed the fridge and turned towards Clair "Fine I'll go to your party." Clair gave a smile "Great all you need to do is show up at my room in an hour and go convenience Cheyrll to come to." Jennifer had a confused look. "Wait what?" "Thanks I knew I could count on you." She replied before running out of the room.
Setting: Cheyrll's room 30 minutes until party
"Cheyrll you there?" There was silence "It's me Jennifer." Jennifer stood outside Cheyrll's door hoping for a response, but there was no answer. Jennifer started to walk away when the door opened slowly "What do you want?" A quiet voice asked. Jennifer turned to see that Cheyrll opened the door slightly "We're having a party in thirty minutes with just the girls." "And?" "Well we wanted to know if you'd join us." "No." Cheyrll then began to close the door. Before she could shut the door Jennifer stuck her foot out stopping the door "What's wrong?" She didn't reply "Cheyrll are you ok?" She asked again while opening the door Cheyrll stood there with her eyes watery and her makeup running down the side of her cheek. "You were crying?" Cheyrll nodded before running towards Jennifer "What happened?" She asked while holding Cheyrll. "I don't want to talk about it." Cheyrll whispered "Well if you talk about it maybe you you'll feel better?" Jennifer advised. Cheyrll shook her head no "I just want to forget about it." "Well you could forget it at the party." "Yeah I'll go." Cheyrll replied wiping her eyes. "Okay now let's get you fixed up." Jennifer replied pushing Cheyrll inside her room getting a small smile in reply.
Setting: Clair's room
Jennifer, Anna, Cheyrll, and Clair were all having fun at the party or at least that is what it looked like. Cheyrll felt weird around Clair; Cheyrll had mixed emotions containing anger, sadness, confused, betrayed, and more. As for Anna she laughed when the others laughed, but she stayed quiet for the other moments. The two both felt uncomfortable at the party all because of the same reason, but they don't know it so Cheyrll and Anna put a fake smile on during the party and hope they can forget what had happened. At the party Clair had food that was laid out on a small table, board games for them to play, and if they weren't playing games they could just talk and relax. There was an awkward silence throughout the party until Jennifer decided to break it "So Clair why don't we play a one of those games you have?" "I know. How about we all play truth or dare." Cheyrll replied glancing at Clair. "Ok." The girls got into a circle "I'll start." Cheyrll announced "I choose Clair." She said pointing towards her "truth or dare." "Dare." Clair replied. "I dare you to tell me why you kissed Red!" Cheyrll shouted. Clair gave a shocked look "Wait what?" Anna looked towards Clair "You kissed Red?" "Here we go." Jennifer replied nervously.
Setting: Hallways
Shadow and Zane were standing outside Clair's room with the cake "Ok here's the perfect time to do it." "What is it I'm doing again?" Shadow rolled his eyes "You're going to go in there and bring them the cake, and then convince them to taste it. Then when they get a taste of it they'll be forcing you to stay at that party." Shadow explained. "Oh yeah. You sure you don't want to join me at the part?" "Oh I'm sure." "Wow Red I guess you're not the total loser Brent and I thought you were which makes me come to realize that I haven't seen Brent for a while? He's probably sleeping or something, but thanks again Red." Zane stuck out his hand "Don't thank me yet." Shadow shook his hand. Shadow walked around the corner and waited while Zane began knocking on the door. Jennifer opened the door "Now isn't the right time Zane." "But why not? I brought cake." "That's sweet, but look." Zane peeked over the cake and Jennifer's shoulder to see Cheyrll and Clair yelling at each other. "Well how was I supposed to know you two went out when you don't tell anybody anything?" Clair shouted "Well you knew I had feelings for him!" "And you don't think the rest of us had feelings for him! FYI Cheyrll, but you're not the only one with feelings!" "You didn't start liking him until I did!" Cheyrll yelled back. "Well at least I'm not a dumb bitch!" Clair screamed "Well I'm not a stupid whore!" Cheyrll shouted back. Anna slowly walked over to Jennifer and Zane "I'll try your cake Zane." Anna placed her finger on the cake for a small piece when all of a sudden the cake exploded sending all the frosting was sent flying all over the room. Clair and Cheyrll glanced at their hair "Zane!" They said as their eyes turned blood red as the two girls grabbed Zane's shirt collar "Wait guys that wasn't supposed to happen I swear it." "Get in here." Clair growled as she tossed him inside and slammed the door. Shadow peeked over with a smile "That went better than expected, but now all the girls might be getting some suspicions. I'll just worry about it later, and now for that key card." Shadow then headed for his next goal.
Setting: J's office
J was sitting in her office doing her usual business looking through papers, finding our next destination, searching for the target when suddenly there was a knock on the door. J looked at the door "Go away." The knocking continued "I'm busy." There was silence for a little while until the knocking started again. "What part of go away I'm busy do you not understand." J yelled opening the door, but not seeing anyone there. "I'm going to kill." After J had shut the door she got spooked by Shadow who was now sitting in her chair. "How did you get in here?" Shadow was glancing through J's paper and reports she had lying on her desk. "J do you mind telling me why our next destination is Tellap Town?" J gave a confused look "What?" Shadow laughed "Oh well who cares honestly." Shadow took a quick glance at a file with Red's name on it. "J let's have a talk." He said as he tossed the folder he had in his hand in the air. The papers within the folder went flying all over the room "What the hell is wrong with you?" She replied gathering the papers. Shadow leaned close to the desk swiftly grabbing the folder with the name Red printed on it, and he then placed it inside his inner coat pocket.
"One question then you got to get out of my office." Shadow nodded "Why do you hate me?" "What kind of question is that?" J asked. "Just a question." He shrugged "Well what do you expect? Do you expect me to like you?" Shadow shook his head no "Listen Red I haven't made nice with anyone for a while, and I'm definitely not going to start now especially with you." Shadow was scanning the room while J continued talking. Shadow then saw a small blue card under a folder which was placed underneath J's hand that was calling his name "Why not?" "Why not what?" J asked. "Why don't we be friends? We're going to be working together for a while." "No." J replied "Well maybe there is the slightest chance we can be friends?" "No." "Maybe a one percent chance?" "No Red." She replied. "Maybe if we dig deep into the core we can be friends?" J gave a stressed look "Red shut up!" "Well maybe if you at least gave me respect I wouldn't be bothering you about these stupid friendship questions!" He stood up shouting back at her. "Don't raise your voice at me!" "Or what." Shadow replied with a dark tone in his voice. J pulled out a small remote "What's that going to do?" Shadow laughed "Oh you don't remember? Well I guess it has been awhile so I'll shock your memory back." Shadow gave a confused look which was quickly taken over by a sudden surge of pain in his neck. He fell onto J's desk pushing all of her papers towards the floor, but J didn't mind since she got to watch him suffer. After awhile J released her finger from the button "That'll remind you who's in charge now I want you out of my office!" "With pleasure." Shadow replied standing himself up and exiting the room. In the hallway Shadow opened his hand and saw a small blue card "Perfect." He smirked.
Setting: Clair's room
Zane was sitting in a chair while he was surrounded by Clair and Cheyrll who were furious "How dare you mess up my hair Zane!" Clair shouted gripping his shirt collar. Jennifer was helping Anna get some of the cake out of her hair "It'll take all night to get this place cleaned up." Jennifer said looking around the room. "Why did you do that to us Zane?" Cheyrll asked with an angry look "You're lucky we don't throw you out of a window because if we could I promise you we would. You chose a bad day to mess with us Zane." Clair added. Zane gave a frightened look "How many times do I have to tell you I don't know why the cake exploded it just did." Zane pleaded "I think he is telling the truth." Everyone looked at Anna with curiosity. "I've seen Zane pull pranks and he isn't good at it. Also Zane doesn't even know how to bake so he couldn't have done this by himself." The girls thought about it for a while and realized that Anna had made a good point "Who helped you? Was it Brent?" Cheyrll asked. Zane shook his head no "Actually Red did most of the baking and I just did the delivery." The girls looked at each other in distraught after hearing this. Zane's opened his eyes wide "That freaking jerk played me!" He yelled "Now hold on maybe Red can explain himself." Jennifer replied "He has been acting out of character recently." Anna added. "Well he started acting this way after he go back from his little date with Cheyrll." Cheyrll gave an annoyed look "Really? Really? What makes you think he started acting this way after our date?" Cheyrll asked. "When you told me that he called you pretty." Clair replied "Ooohhhh." Zane laughed "You stay out of this!" Cheyrll shouted "Yes ma'am." Zane replied frightened.
"And you need to shut your mouth about our date!" "Why don't you make me?" Clair shouted back at Cheyrll. "Come on you two please calm down." Jennifer pleaded trying to separate the two before they killed each other. "Stop!" The room went silent and everyone directed their attention to Anna "You guys can't be fighting. Not now at least. You guys can fight after we figure out why Red has been acting the way he has been lately." The two girls eyed each other then turned away. "I can't believe Red played me like that, but he was so convincing though." Zane stated. "Let's go find Red." Jennifer announced "Yeah!" The girls replied exiting the room. Zane sat there tied to the chair "Guys! Girls I mean! I'm still here!" Zane yelled. The girls ran back inside the room "Oh yeah sorry." They then began to untie Zane and got him out of the chair.
Setting: Red's room
"Ahh!" Shadow yelled dropping the screwdriver he was using to break J's shock collar "Every time I get close to breaking this stupid collar it shocks me. If only I was immune to it long enough where it will break." Shadow then gave a smile to an idea that came across his mind. He reached for Flygon's pokeball "Come on out Flygon." Flygon let out a yawn after it had appeared "Flygon I need you to break this collar using Dragon Claw." Flygon gave an unsure look at Red's request. "Just do it!" Flygon quickly used Dragon Claw on the collar shocking Shadow. Flygon got spooked by the sudden sparks and backed away "Don't be afraid! Toughen up and use Dragon Claw again. This time don't quit until this collar breaks!" Shadow shouted at Flygon. Flygon nodded slowly, and then walked back over to Shadow gripping the collar and started to crush it using Dragon Claw. The collar began shocking Shadow at full power, but Flygon continued as it was told. The shock collar began to break bit by bit until suddenly it had snapped into two pieces. Shadow's head lowered and he just stared at the collar that was just lying on the floor. Shadow quickly rose up and began stomping on the collar until he could barely see it. Flygon was frightened by the way Red was acting.
"One more thing." Shadow pulled out the file with Red's name on it "To make sure that nobody else gets their hands on this file and figure out Red's secret. Not even Red himself." Shadow reached in his pocket and grabbed a lighter. Shadow then lit the file on fire and watched it until it was nothing, but ashes. "You can go back in your pokeball now. Your assistance isn't needed any more for now." Shadow then recalled Flygon back to her pokeball. Shadow put away his lighter "Now I need to get to J's computer."
Setting: Front of the ship
Shadow leaned back in J's chair while the hard drive he plugged into the main computer was transferring the data. "Just a few more minutes and I'll have every file and secret J has have ever stored in the airship's mainframe." "Red is that you?" Shadow turned his chair around and saw Neo. "What are you doing here and what are you doing with the main computer?" Shadow closed the screen before Neo could see the download "I should be asking you the same Neo." Shadow replied. "No one can be caught using J's computer." "Well we could say I was never here." Neo gave a shocked look at his response. "Red you know I'm not good with keeping secrets let alone lying to people." Shadow walked up to Neo and placed a strip of duct tape over his mouth. "There that should help you keep your mouth shut, and just to be sure." Shadow grabbed another strip and placed it over Neo's glasses. "Now you can say you never saw anything." Neo began to mumble something, but Shadow couldn't make out what he was saying "Sorry Neo you're going to have to speak up with that tape over your mouth I can't understand a word you're saying." Shadow went to the computer to take the hard drive out of the computer while Neo was struggling to remove the tape from his mouth and glasses. "Say a word about this to anybody and I'll make sure your mouth and eyes stay shut permanently." Shadow then quickly left the room before Neo could see what he was doing.
Setting: Red's room
Shadow laid on the bed holding the flash drive in front of him "To think that all the data I need from J is in this flash drive. It was so easy that it was boring." Then there was a constant banging on his door. "Red we no you're in there. We need you to open up so we can talk." "Gosh Clair you sound like you're about to arrest him." Jennifer replied. "Maybe I should talk to him?" Anna asked "No I should get to talk to him since he did play that trick on me." Zane said. Cheyrll was in the back of the group staying quiet "Hey Cheyrll don't you want to talk?" Cheyrll looked up at the door when she heard Red talking to her "I would have thought you were going to be the maddest out of the bunch. Why aren't you?" Shadow asked. Cheyrll didn't answer his question, but instead joined in on the yelling spree "Just open the door!" She yelled. Shadow laughed "You sound cute when you're mad. Why don't you try opening it?" Cheyrll reached her hand out to open the door "Don't!" When Cheyrll touched the handle a small electric charge gave her a shock. Cheyrll gave a small scream as she began to softly rub her hand as if it would make it any better "He wired it up to shock every time you touch the doorknob." Zane explained. "Now if you would please keep it down some people are trying to sleep." Shadow requested. "What should we do?" Anna asked "Let's leave him be. Besides he can't stay in there forever." Clair replied. Zane and the girls then started to walk away from his door while Cheyrll stayed behind "You can go, but I'm going to stay here for a while." "Fine, but you're wasting your time." Clair answered back. The hallway was silent and Cheyrll sat on the floor in front of Red's door "Why did you do it Red? Why?" Cheyrll whispered as she grew sleepy with each passing second until finally she had fallen completely asleep.
Setting: Subconscious
"What happened?" Red had just woken up after being unconscious by Shadow. Red tried to stretch, but his hand were cuffed "Where am I?" Red took a look around his dark surroundings "This looks like the prison cell on the airship." "Yup." Shadow appeared. "It's you!" Shadow gave a smile "I see you're just hanging around." Red tried moving his legs, but they were handcuffed as well. "Why are you doing this? Where are we?" Red asked "Those are the questions. You see Red we are in your subconscious." "My subconscious?" Shadow nodded. "This is where I stayed all these years and now." "Now what?" Shadow gave a smile "Now you're going to be the one who is stays here while I go out and mess with the world." Shadow laughed. "By the way Red I must thank you. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have anyone to ruin." Red was confused "What do you mean?" "Why your precious friends of course." "What did you do to Cheyrll, Clair, and the rest of the girls?" Shadow gave a fake yawn in reply. "Answer me!" Shadow just watched Red as he tried to break the cuffs off the wall "Your lack of patience will bring you a lot of hurt one of these days." Shadow replied. "Just tell me." Shadow shook his head no; he then began walking away "You'll see." Shadow then vanished out of Red's sight "Shadow. Shadow!"
