Ok so here is another update for ya. :) hope you enjoy it :)

Chapter 12: Retaliation

They were approaching Berk within a matter of minutes. Flying low; Toothless glided over the murky water that was the sea. As they drew closer to their destination, a thick layer of fog could be seen engulfing the island. In the distance, muffled voices could be heard, but in getting closer they turned into screams.

"Can you hear that too?" Asked Astrid, leaning over Hiccups shoulder and turning her head to face his.

"Yeah I hear it... that defiantly doesn't sound good..." He glanced over at the still unconscious Alvin, whom lay lifelessly over the back of Stormfly; and wondered what the other outcasts had been up to whilst they were fighting by meat Head Island.

As Toothless, shortly followed by Stormfly, swerved around the large protruding rock from the ocean, Astrid and Hiccup Gasped in pure horror.

The village was ablaze; children were screaming, Some Vikings were running around baring buckets of water whilst dragons were roaring and screeching in fear. Outcasts battled the village people with their various weapons of mass destruction. To put it plainly, it was complete ciaos.

"Quick get down there Toothless!" Hiccup shot down to the island and dismounted allowing Toothless to help fight off the other Outcasts still on the island.

"Hiccup wait!" Astrid followed Hiccup trying to keep up with him as he darted through the crowds of fighting Vikings and burning buildings, only then to finally grab his arm.

"Hiccup, what are you doing!? We need to find your dad and take Alvin to him!" She gestured to Stormfly who was hopping behind them carrying the oblivious Outcast on her back.

"I know, I just need to get something from the workshop that I have been working on!" He pulled away from her grasp and ran off into the battle field of Vikings and disappeared.

"Well that's just great... common Stormfly lets go find Stoick" She waved a hand to the dragon who followed her deeper into the burning Village.

Stoick could be seen in the centre of the fight smashing Outcast's faces with his fists and plummeting their bodies into the ground in pure anger. He caught Astrid's eye and she began to run towards him only to be attacked by an outcast who bashed her with a shield in the gut. He lifted his axe above his head ready to let it fall upon his victim until he suddenly stopped.

A state of shock plastered on his face and then the trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth, Astrid looked down the man's body to find a Nadder's tail spike sticking out of his torso. She took this chance to scramble to her feet to be greeted by her dragons grin.

"Thanks girl" She patted Stormfly on the nose and reached Stoick in the middle of an uppercut to an outcasts jaw.

"Stoick! We have Alvin!" She shouted at him getting his attention.

"What!? How?...When!?" his questions joyful but hidden by the shocked look on his face.

"No time to explain, let's just get him inside, do you think we could use him to call off the attack?"

"Urr it might do... quick let's get to the house we'll see what we can do there" Stoick and Astrid, followed by Stormfly, began to run towards the house whilst Hiccup was still looking for something in the workshop.

"Ugh, Gobber better not have moved it, he moves all my stuff" He mumbled to himself as he rummaged through some large deep boxes full to the brim with metal scraps and just in general... stuff.

"Common, common... Aha!" He grabbed the device that reassembled a very large gramophone horn and quickly exited the workshop. Just outside the door he whistled for Toothless who want far and came to his master's call.

"Hey bud; do you know where Astrid got to?" he asked looking into the dragons deep green eyes. He nodded and indicated for him to climb on.

They took off and began to fly over the ciaos below trying to spot his father and Astrid. It didn't take long to find them running towards the house.

"Toothless there! By the house!"Pointing in the direction at which they were entering the house Toothless swooped down and landed near the building as hiccup quickly dismounted and was greeted by Stoick's booming voice.

"Hiccup! Inside quick!" Shouted his father from the main door of the house.

He ran through the doors, followed by Toothless, which were hastily closed once they were all inside.

"Hiccup, what in the world were you thinking! Running off like that? You could have got yourself killed!" Yelled Astrid who quickly dropped the argument when Stoick shot her a look of 'just-drop-it' they were safe now so what ever happened didn't matter.

"What you got here son that was so important?" Asked a curious Stoick leaning in to take a closer look.

"Oh it's an amplifier! For Toothless's plasma blast. What it does is split up the plasma blast into multiple plasma balls striking more than one target. I had a feeling if Alvin did come back then we need to have a weapon that would put him at a greater disadvantage." Hiccup Explained with immense passion for his invention, causing a grin to form across his father's face.

"Well that's quite a weapon Son; do you think it will work?"

"Well I haven't tested it yet but theoretically it should." He replied with a smile but that quickly disappeared when a groan from Alvin was heard.

"Hiccup; go get some rope to tie him up, Astrid; get some cloth whilst I get Alvin off of Stormfly." Hiccup and Astrid went to go do their jobs they were assigned whilst Stoick was tasked with getting Alvin off the dragon.

"You're a right piece of work Alvin..." Stoick mumbled yanking the Viking to the floor who let out a small groan and then opened his eyes catching Stoick unawares. He quickly punched Alvin in the face hoping to knock him out but it seemed a second 'knuckle sandwich' was needed.

The pair brought back the things needed to keep Alvin quiet and contained and gave the rope to Stoick. He used the rope to bind the man as tightly as possible whilst Astrid gagged him.

"What do we do now?... Asked Astrid looking at Hiccup and then back to Stoick.

There was a moment of silence. Then Stoick thought of something...

"We'll have to tell the villagers to hide and retreat into the homes that weren't damaged."

"What?! Why?" exclaimed Astrid and Hiccup nearly in unison.

"Well Hiccup needs to have a clear shot at every Outcast with his invention. Can't have any of the villagers getting hurt. You think you can get the Toothless and the machine ready?" Stoick asked awaiting an answer.

Hiccup nodded and looked towards Toothless.

"Alright then, we don't have much time to pull this off so let's get to it..."
