Ki'kiri's mother paced quick in the kitchen. She was nervous, and so was the rest of the family. Making tonight's dinner was not helping.
Was she ok?
Were they just delayed?
Or did they lose track of time?
These thoughts were asked out loud to cause more worry.
A answer came soon as James ran from his room out of breath and in shock.
The family looked at him making his father stand and mother stop dead in her tracks with the food.
"Mom, turn on the news!" He panted out.
The TV turned on, to reveal a report that scared them to death.
I remember years ago Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love I did, I did
And you were strong and I was not My illusion, my mistake I was careless, I forgot I did
And now when all is done There is nothing to say You have gone and so effortlessly You have won You can go ahead tell them
Tell them all I know now Shout it from the roof tops Write it on the skyline All we had is gone now
Adrenaline pumped in Ki'kiris blood. Her breath was short. It was hard to tell if some one was coming and if someone wasn't.
She laid her head down and closed her eyes to pretend none of this was happening. She pretended she was with William, snuggled up in a warm bed, sleeping the night away together.
"Oh, Sweet Heart~!" Speeda Demons voice rang at the entrance. Ki'kiri's eyes widened and stopped breathing all together. Speeda Demon walked through the house and kicked and tossed things around to find a sign of her. He chanted little love taunts to her. He then walked up a short flight of stairs and was out of her sight. Ki'kiri waited until he was a good distance from her to sneak for the entrance. She was about 5 feet from being able to run to Stormer, but a blade stabbing the ground in front of her face stopped her.
Tell them I was happy And my heart is broken All my scars are open Tell them what I hoped would be Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible
Falling out of love is hard Falling for betrayal is worst Broken trust and broken hearts I know, I know
Thinking all you need is there Building faith on love and words Empty promises will wear I know, I know
And now when all is done There is nothing to say And if you're done with embarrassing me On your own you can go ahead tell them
Tell them all I know now Shout it from the roof tops Write it on the skyline All we had is gone now
Tell them I was happy And my heart is broken All my scars are open Tell them what I hoped would be Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible! Ooh impossible (yeah yeah)
Speeda Demon grabbed her shoulder and pulled her into his arms. "Sneaking away sweet Heart?" He taunted. Ki'kiri struggled to get away.
"PRESTON! WILLIAM!" She shouted, only to have Speeda Demon sling her over his shoulder. "Now now, you will be able to see your friends again, once their cold and dead!" He said smirking.
This only made Ki'kiri struggle more.
Stormer came running to see Speeda Demon with Ki'kiri over his shoulder. "You put her down!" He shouted. "Aw, you hero's are just no fun!" Speeda Demon chanted back. Stormer knew not to fire his weapon since he could hurt Ki'kiri. Speeda Demon held his sword in his free hand, Held it up and grinned. "Hon Guard~"
He teased. Stormer deployed ice from his weapon into a blade, and charged.
Clang after clang of their blades. Ki'kiri was getting queasy from being shook so much.
A few times she felt like her skirt was flashing her underwear, witch me her only embarrassed at the possibility. Her thoughts where disrupted when a nasty gurgled
slash was heard. She looked to see if Stormer was ok, but to only see him holding his now bloody throat. He was still breathing so, something else must have been cut there. Speeda Demon took this advantage to flip over the white hero and run to his comrades. Stormer gave a chase, but the villains got away before he reached them. Stormer did what was left of yelling -since his throats been cut- profanities at the fleeing villains.
That's when all attention was sent to a wounded William.
