Ki'kiri stood in the middle of the battle field. Her dress was torn, but what was done to it would say it was entirely ruined. Her boots were nowhere to be seen. And she lost one rose arm bracelet, and the choker was being used as a small bandage on her lower leg with the torn cloth of her dress.
She stared off to where she last saw Speeda Demon. He shoved her away. Not in fury, but in partial hate and care. She saw him fall off the roof, and to his death. Impaled. Hated him to death, yes. But he really didn't hurt William enough to deserve it in her book. She remembers it all painfully.
If I die young, bury me in satin Lay me down on a bed of roses Sink me in the river at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song.
Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors Oh, and life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no. Ain't even gray, but she buries her baby.
The sharp knife of a short life Well, I've had just enough time.
Speeda Demon shoved her down the stairs, only for her to land in the water flooding in from the river into the building. She tried to make it up again, but ended up rushing, when she heard two cries and, a nasty gushing splat mixed with a hard thud. She ran to the edge soaked. to see a impaled Speeda Demon at the bottom. She slid down the drainage pipe, and went to his side.
"Here to finish me sweet heart?"
She gripped his head, for if any villains watched them.
"No matter how much you call me that, I still hate you, but I know to forgive you."
Speeda Demon had a paused look.
"You forgive me?"
"You killed Von Nebula before he could kill William, didn't break Williams arm. Or try to kill my family. You did taunt them, and scared them, but not kill them. And, helped me get this back." She held out Williams charm.
"You saw?"
"I rushed back into your arms after getting it back, when I watched him brake Williams arm."
"So, you were part of my 'Sick Game', and I was part of yours?"
"If its how you want to take it." She go no more words after that.
She placed a hand on his forehead. He pulled her down for a kiss, last but sweet and for her sake, very short.
Ki'kiri watched as he closed his optics, and released her hand.
Ki'kiri was going to say something, but a hand landed on her shoulder.
A white metal hand.
She looked to see Stormer. She looked back to Speeda Demon, But his hand when she grabbed it again, was colder than normal.
He was really...
He was the only one who ACTUALLY cared for her even though she hated him during her torment. He was part of it and they never did get
along even though they mostly pretended to out of when they did, but he cared.
She was grateful for that. Stormer knew, the others knew. And her family would soon as well.
If I die young, bury me in satin Lay me down on a bed of roses Sink me in the river at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song.
The sharp knife of a short life. Well, I've had just enough time.
And I'll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger I've never known the loving of a woman But it sure felt nice when she was holding my hand.
She looked around to see any sign of William. Stormer went to go help Bulk and Stringer. Breez and Surge were in charge of keeping her safe.
But she dismissed them to being a few feet away. They kept each other warm in the cold. But herself longed for Williams own warmth.
Hers wasn't enough. She began to walk. Drowsiness started to settle in. She felt cold and numb. A possible fever.
Hypothermia
It seemed simple enough. She was freezing to death. She didn't go un-noticed. Bulk came and held her, trying to keep her warm.
He wasn't William, but was warm. He lifted her like a five year-old, and took her somewhere else on the field.
Breez and Surge were following behind, fingers intertwined with the others. To think, that was her and William a month or two ago.
Was it two months? She's already forgot in the fights. They were near the Hero Craft after a minute of walking. They wasted no
time in getting her in a warm bed. But she was placed in someone's arms before hand.
She had passed out right when it got warmer.
There's a girl here in town, says she'll love me forever. Who would have thought forever could be severed by, The sharp knife of a short life. Well, I've had just enough time.
She woke in a bed. But she wasn't alone. A warm figure had their arms around her.
Who was this warm company? Was it her mother? One of her Fathers or brother? Or, was it who she's missed all this time?
She lightly opened her eyes, to see a figure snuggled to her.
Her vision was blurry. The figure stirred. She finally mumbled, "W-William-m?"
A warm, hand only came to her cheek. Her companion mumbled as well.
"D-dad said we need to stay in bed. W-we got Hypothermia, h-he said."
And with that, Ki'kiri and her companion went back under.
A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell 'em for a dollar. They're worth so much more after I'm a goner.
She finally woke, and this time could stay awake. She wasn't feverish anymore. She wanted to sit up, but the arms
of her companion were still around her. She was able to turn, only to come face to chest with Williams gently glowing core.
She was indeed home, at least what seemed to be Williams room. And best of all, in Williams arms where she belongs.
William then stirred. He received a kiss on the nose, that brought him fully awake. "Hey."
A longed for kiss was shared between them. Stormer then came in, causing both eyes to advert to him.
"Feeling better" He asked.
"A lot." William replied.
"I can see that. Your parents were worried sick. And your things were taken to your house."
"That's nice."
"You were out for a few days."
"And, Speeda?"
"Buried in the town cemetery. I could tell every thing that happened, your easy to read."
Ki'kiri smiled. William would find out everything later.
Right now, they needed something to eat.
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singing. Funny, when you're dead how people start listening.
If I die young, bury me in satin. Lay me down on a bed of roses. Sink me in the river at dawn. Send me away with the words of a love song.
Ki'kiri ran to hug her family. It was two years at the spent at the factory, and now they could finally see each other.
It was the day before her 18th birthday. The day of her new independence.
The party the next day would be to welcome her back and to celebrate her coming of age.
William however had his own surprise, but he wouldn't tell yet. James and Ki'kiris step-father and father were talking with him.
They spoke of how much she grew for the three. Yah, too fast. He was shown a page in a photo book of when she was five with her brother, and they then looked at her now. "Such a change." William said. "So hard to believe it. To think, she was my little sister in a little red plaid skirt and white blouse, and now, she's
turning 18 tomorrow, and has a guy in her life, and is so grown." James said. He had tears in his eyes. Who wouldn't.
Ki'kiri was just to grown up. Despite the "Incident" between her and Speeda Demon that one night when she was captured, she was grown either way.
Ki'kiri ran and hugged her brother. It was too long.
If I die young, bury me in satin.
Lay me down on a bed of roses.
Sink me in the river at dawn.
Send me away with the words of a love song.
The party was splendid by their standards after the incident.
It was time to celebrate, for Ki'kiri and William, it was time to enjoy their reunited love.
Ki'kiri spent so much time with William, it was the perfect timing. After she blew out the candles to
her cake, she obviously got her presents. But none would be like the one she was about to receive.
A Bionicle toy, a Pokémon X and Y games and a 3Ds to play them on, and a Sylveon doll.
"Oh, I love the doll! See Will, now my Eevee has a big sister." But she didn't notice William pull out a Ciel Phantomhive ring.
"What's that?" Breez said, getting Ki'kiris attention. Her new independence called for a good time to move out from the nest when ready.
To start a new life. A new one, certainly came to her, and would prepare her to leave the nest.
Out of no-where, everyone gasped and William got on one knee.
Ki'kiri's eyes were full of tears. She couldn't believe it.
She knew the question he was asking her. Only one answer could come out.
"YES!" She yelled tackling him in a hug, crying. The ring fit perfectly. A strange string went around her neck.
She looked to see William placed her Charm back around her neck. "Hey," William whispered in her ear.
"Like a few pipsqueaks?" He finished placing a hand at he abdomen. Children.
She smiled and kissed him deeply.
This would be a bright future for the both of them...
The sharp knife of a short life.
Well, I've had just enough time...
