Itachi stood there, glaring at nothing in particular. Naruto squeaked and ducked down, hoping the raven did not notice him. He covered his head in fear that a blow would be dealt to him, whether it be verbal or physical. When Naruto looked back at Itachi, though, he quickly ran to catch the falling-asleep-Uchiha.
"Mr...Usa-Chan?" Itachi ran his fingers through Naruto's blonde locks, latching onto one of the fox ears that sprouted during the mishap. "Where are your ears, my good sir? It's almost," He let out a loud uncharacteristic yawn. "-tea time." His head fell back as sleep overtook him once more. Naruto looked around hastily, wondering where he could set the man. He dragged him to the couch in the large living room, but once the young man was set down, Itachi latched onto Naruto's(sasuke's) shirt and was snuggled into it. The blond could have sworn that a sigh passed through those lips but it could have just been his imagination playing tricks. It smelled like Sasuke anyways.
"Sasuke..." Naruto's head snapped back to the situation at hand. "why don't you like Aniki anymore?"
The blondes heart silently broke as he listened to the mumbled words. All Itachi wanted was his little brother. Naruto ran after detaching the Uchiha from the shirt, but only of course after fetching a few things.
Sasuke came home drained and tired. Kakashi wouldn't stop pestering him about the 'special assignment' he was given on friday. He walked through the long hallways to the living room and was surprised to see what was there. Itachi was sitting in pajamas on the couch, eating a sandwich and watching Adventure Time. Sasuke sputtered for a moment and rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Then Naruto walked out from the kitchen with bowlfuls of food. Popcorn, mini-sandwiches, chips, and chicken wings.
"Oi, Sasuke! You're back already? My school let out early." Naruto motioned to Itachi and sasuke caught on with the small fib.
"Naruto is a very nice boy, now I know why you like him Sasuke." Itachi said with a mouthful of ham and bread. Sasuke grimaced at it. Was this really Itachi? After that thought, what Itachi said finally processed into Sasuke's mind and he let out a girlish squeal.
"I do not like him!" Sasuke missed the frown that passed on Naruto's face, but Itachi saw both of their reactions with slight curiosity. It was only his place as Sasuke's older brother to make sure he ended up with someone worthy. His thoughts clouded his actions as he reached for a wing and missed the target. Instead, the sauce smeared onto his nose and across his cheek. Naruto laughed at the stupid expression Itachi gave before leaning down to help him clean it off with a napkin found on the table.
"I swear, you and your brother are both giant babies. Can't do anything on your own." When a stubborn piece of the sauce decided to stick on, Naruto licked the napkin and dabbed it off. Itachi's nose wrinkled in distaste when Naruto lightly tapped his nose, making a fun 'boop' noise and smiling warmly. When he looked at his younger brother, he noticed Sasuke was looking away from the two. Interesting enough, the only thing to give way to his distaste of the situation was the slight clenching of his right hand. Interesting indeed.
"I thank you, Naruto, for the wonderful company you have bestowed upon me. Lord knew that I needed a break from work." Itachi stood up and took the plate of sandwiches. "I am going to go take a nap, mostly because I don't know when the next time I will be able to sleep is. Be good you two" With that he made his departure from the two and into his Cave of Wonders, or otherwise known as, "The Office of Doom".
Sasuke stood where he was, but was now watching the show. Finn was running to someplace or another, his trusty dog following close behind. Even though the show was meant for kids, some of the meanings behind the little quests could be thought of very deeply.
Too Deeply. He glared at the screen.
Damn cartoons.
"Helllllllllooooooooo~?" Naruto waved his hand in front of his friends face, the fox being worried that the other stopped breathing. The blonde turned off the tv in hope that Sasuke would come back to earth and let out a triumphant yell as his plan worked. Sasuke only let out a soft "ch" noise before sitting on the couch. He sat with proper posture, his back straight and chin high. He would have to make up for what he saw from Itachi in such a state.
It was terrifying.
And those pajamas. Puh-lease.
Sasuke allowed a slight shiver before turning towards Naruto slowly. A girlish squeal was let loose as the glare intensified. His headache only doubled as Naruto fell to the floor in a fetal position. Tch, serves him right to dishonour the Uchiha name like that.
But those pajamas. Those were SASUKE'S pajamas. That jerk.
Sasuke left the couch with a handful of popcorn and continued on his way to his room. Naruto followed with his head ducked low, a slight pout on his lips. He didn't know what he had done to have Sasuke mad at him. He thought that his friend would be happy, happy because his brother was happy. Naruto thought and thought but still couldn't find any reason for the other to be upset. He only straightened and planted a fake smile.
He wouldn't show any sadness.
I'll make him happy, you just wait Kakashi-Sensei.
Naruto sat on the floor while Sasuke finished up his school assignments. The blonde couldn't help but feel immensely bored with the situation and didn't dare deny the underlying need to make some noise and make things a bit more fun. Once again a smirk crossed his lips before the other in the room looked to him. The look Sasuke gave him easily asked the question 'what are you thinking?'. The smirk that was still plastered on his face gave Sasuke a grim answer and he felt a shiver pass through his spine.
"Naruto" He said in a warning voice. The deviously smiling one just remained silent and fixed his eyes on one of the shoes that was left abandoned at the door of the room. He slowly stalked it in a very quiet fashion, his shoulders low and socked feet barely making a noise. Once he was close enough to the target he pounced, grabbing the shoe and rolling into the wall. The loud 'thunk' of his body made the normally quiet Uchiha burst into laughter. Ab-building laughter. The laughter that made one double up in effort to gain control of their breathe. Naruto's hidden face had a more softer smile now, content with the fact that he made his little not-so-angelic-Angel smile.
Told you Kakashi. I know I will make him happy. That's a promise. Don't ever Forget that.
