Chapter 2

A/N so how's everyone like it so far ^_^? I know it's not that great. My deepest apologies. But if anyone is wondering (nobody probably is), I will make this for as long as I can. And I DO NOT OWN NARUTO, but I wish I did… ENJOY MY LITTLE FRIENDS!

Sasuke only stared at Sakura, disbelief staining his coal black eyes. The dampness of the room turned icy as he stood frozen in place. His pale fist clenched tightly, curling and uncurling into a fist as if he was undecided whether to punch the wall next to him or not. The raven haired boy suddenly snarled viciously, scaring the pinkette in the cell.

He was caught off guard by the shocked girl's shriek and he grew quiet once more, realizing the girl was in the room as well. The silent avenger was stumbling for words, until his eyes bled red and cold with hatred. The icy room flared with the intent to kill and once more Sasuke was curling and uncurling his fist. "Itachi..." he practically growled his brother's name aloud.

The extensive Uchiha family history was brought up in her mind like an old file. Every last detail, rumor, and fact popped up suddenly in her mind. She was shuffling through it, trying to remember all the details that she read in Tsunade's files. It dawned her easily, the Uchiha massacre, it was the killing spree that left only Sasuke and his older brother as the remaining Uchihas. She faintly remembered the older Uchiha from her days before the academy and a few (literal) run-ins around town.

Sakura watched as Sasuke finally gave in and hit the wall. Sakura could feel it, just as she could when they were just genin, she could feel his repressed emotions. She took a hesitant step forward, looking for the Uchiha's reaction. When there was no reaction, she continued forward with more confidence in what she was doing. The young Uchiha was surprised to see Sakura's hand reach out and grab his arm. He jerked it back and glared at her.

"Let me heal your cuts," she muttered. The raven haired boy seemed to mull it over in his head. He rolled around the idea, but as he felt the stinging from her kunai that scratched his face, he decided it would be best. As he took a look down at his minor burns he cautiously allowed her to heal him.

Rather startled by the stubborn boy's cooperation, Sakura gathered the green mist-like chakra into the palm of her hand and started healing him. The warm, swirling chakra soothed and reassured Sakura of her own skill. Sasuke gave an involuntary flinch when her chakra met his face, to which Sakura lessened the chakra in her hands. Her mind wandered a little before she began to compare her chakra to Sasori's chakra strings, absently moving her hands to heal the man before her as she did so. What was a silent rant in her own mind began to grow into mumbles until finally she was lecturing herself loud enough for Sasuke to hear.

"His chakra strings are strong enough to pull even a living human. Of course their guard would have to be let down but with the simplest of tricks and perfect timing that could be done. And those strings were like spider webs, thin yet strong enough for their purpose. I wonder how well-"

"AHH, SAKURA STOP!" Sasuke's uncharacteristic scream of pain snapped the pinkette out of her mind. Her emerald eyes widened in size before she realized that she was applying more pressure to the chakra and was unknowingly harming her patient. She pulled her hands away and observed him to assure herself that he was healed. He nodded his gratitude toward her and she replied with a small smile.

Sakura's footsteps were followed by another pair as she headed toward her own bed across the room. When Sakura's footsteps stopped, the other's continued until pausing in front of their cell. The attention of the duo was on the new arrival that was not long ago Sasuke's topic of interest. Sakura stared, remembering the old image of the man standing before her. His midnight black hair was tied in a low ponytail that swept over his shoulder and it looked as though that hadn't changed much. His eyes that were once a beautiful black from her memories were now a blazing, dangerous red. And those lines of stress that never left were deeper now than before.

"Sasuke, come now." Itachi's monotonous voice rang in the deafening silence. His face stayed unreadable, but his eyes declared consequences if Sasuke did not obey. Sakura nearly shivered as she watched the Akatsuki member in front of her sweep his own Sharingan over her.

Sakura gave Sasuke a pointed look that told him if he dared injure himself further, she would not be able to save him. He casted his eyes away from her, almost stubbornly, before nodding and sharing a look of his own with her.

"Stay safe, Sakura," he mouthed at her before reluctantly following his brother. She froze in shock, staring after the Uchiha who acted out of character. Her knees gave out in surprise and she fell down onto the bed. Maybe it was seconds, minutes, or even hours before more ominous footsteps haunted the halls in front of her cell.

The pink kunoichi was so involved in her thoughts and fantasy world that she let her guard fall. She didn't comprehend her new visitor enter inside the cell, nor did she notice their movements until she was pushed onto her back. With the wind knocked out of her she could only gasp as Deidara was above her on all fours. He smirked cockily as his face neared her's. His hot breath fanned her face and she grew red, not with embarrassment, but with anger.

"What're ya thinking about, Pinky?" His hands were placed on the bed near her head and he seemed resolute on keeping the girl in this position underneath him.

Biting back only half of the sarcasm, Sakura barked out a reply, "Oh I was just daydreaming about being stuck underneath the most gorgeous man-woman ever to live. Wait, it's come true! Kiss me, Dei-chan!" Sakura fluttered her eyes, looking at Deidara through her eyelashes and leaning forward to reach the blonde. She smirked as the blonde scowled and pushed himself off her. She shivered a bit, realizing that he was keeping her very warm. The pinkette sat up on the bed, rubbing her sore back. "May I ask what you need with me?"

"I'm gonna need you to come with me, un." He was now smirking, as if his own vague answer made him forget her snappy comment regarding his/her gender. Deidara was pulling her up with one of his hands. But the blossom snatched her hand away and looked at the saliva on her hands. With a questioning and offended look she lifted her eyes to the blonde. Smirking, he lifted up his hand and showed her the open mouth. The bloodcurdling scream that left the girl's mouth made the entire Akatsuki shiver.

"GET THOSE THINGS OFF OF ME!" Sakura screamed, backing away from the mouths. She had known that they were real mouths that had tongues and teeth, but she thought that they closed when they were not in use.

"DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK ABOUT AZAMI AND CHIZUKO LIKE THAT!" Deidara yelled right back at the pinkette in her face.

Sakura paused, mulling over what he said in her head. "You… you named your hands? And… and they're girls?" Sakura stared blankly at him, her emerald eyes searching his face. When the silence had begun to grow awkward, the girl burst into a fit of laughter. "Y-you l-lonely pervert!" She cackled as his ears, neck, and face grew red.

"Just shut up and follow me, Pinky," he hissed and left the cell. Sakura chased after him, still laughing at the memory of his red face. She stopped only when she stumbled into his back. He sent a devilish smirk over his shoulder to her before gesturing toward the door in front of him. "After you, Pinky-chan," he whispered as he opened the door.

The room was dark and bare, only a long table and seats located inside. As the pinkette looked around the room, she saw that she recognized only a few faces, and the rest were slightly unnerving. Sakura was pleased to see Sasori and decided to stay close to the blonde that was behind her. She reconsidered her choice after she felt 'Azami' rest on her shoulder. She nearly snapped at him, but the eerie feeling of being observed caused her to keep her mouth shut.

The pinkette gazed at each and every person in the room. In the corner stood a man that was half black and half white, looking as if he were two people combined into one. His hair was green and his eyes were a piercing, hungry yellow. Surrounding his head was a Venus flytrap object.

Closer to Sakura was blue haired woman who was a few years older than Sakura. She was pale and had a lip piercing. A white flower that Sakura was willing to bet was made of paper was located in her hair. Her eyes were bright amber, but they were gentle as they looked at Sakura.

Next to the blue haired girl was a man with orange hair. His hair was spiked upward and his face was practically covered with piercings. His eyes stared coldly at her, staring into her soul with his menacing eyes. The orange haired man spoke first when the door creaked to a shut. Sakura expected questions, but not what he said next.

"Haruno Sakura: the apprentice of the Hokage, surpassing even her skills. You have a history of training with several other jōnin and even several ANBU in your years at Konoha. Not only that, but you are one of the most talented medics known around. It is for these reasons that the Akatsuki welcomes you into the organization. Do you accept?"
