I sighed and went to the window to wait for another person to walk by so MAYBE it could get attention from someone without my brothers taking them away, but something grabbed my scruff. It was the tall man my brothers had pushed me out of the way to get to! He picked me up and held me close, petting my ears gently. I purred, being happy he hadn't been taken away.
