A/N: Well, I decided to try my hand at poems. Also, I needed ideas for the Christmas Special. (Yes, there will be one. Whether I publish it by Christmas is another matter.) Expect the next ROTH Chapter to come out eventually. When the new characters come along, this will get update a bit more.
Summary: A colorful group of poems, each describing one of the ten main characters of ROTH. Though it will be easy to guess who is who. Some spoilers, but most of them are minor or won't be fully explained until later.
Purple.
It's her color, her symbol. Feminine, but with a strike of mystique.
It's her hair, her eyes, her aura. Esteemed, but tinted with mystery. It hides secrets, feelings, hopes and dreams.
Even her own sibling knows little about her.
What would people think of her if they knew the sights behind the lavender windows of her eyes?
What would they think if they knew despite the cold outside, a warm, tender heart beats inside?
A heart that was broken so badly it vowed to never love ever again?
It was a love that never should have happened. Forbidden, and she knew it.
But it was returned. The one she loved had loved her as well, despite knowing what it was.
But like storm it ended, one lover dead and the other grieving. Locking her heart away. But without love, one will become cold and upset.
So that's the story of purple. A beautiful girl shrouded in mystery.
Dark Blue.
He's not as obvious as the other blue, but this is his color. A blue so deep and dark it's almost black. But when it's revealed to the light, it's a beautiful color.
He's the formal, straight to the point one. He tells what needs to be known and that's it. Fitting, since he's an attorney.
Like Purple, he's a mystery. An enigmatic figure that makes you wonder the second you see him.
He's a distant blue. One that would push you away instead of accepting the love he urgently needed.
Purple and he have many similarities. They both lost one they loved. They were both alone in a crowd. They both have locked their hearts away.
That's what attracted them to each other.
But Blue hides other things. Such as secrets.
A love that ended with a double murder.
A deal that could find the murderer and fix his life.
But nothing in this world comes for free. Nothing at all.
So when the curtains have fallen and he's made his choice, he will think.
Was it worth it?
Light Blue.
Unlike the first Blue, this blue isn't a dark, sad color.
It's like the color of the sky. A bright, powerful blue. The color of his eyes and hair.
He's the one that won't give up. The one that says that the sun will always shine through no matter how dark the day is.
The one that goes well with almost everyone.
He's not the one who sticks out. He's not as vibrant as Red, as cheerful as Yellow, or as mysterious as Purple.
He's like pink; He's a shade, a shadow of a stronger color.
But everyone still likes him.
But who does he like?
He likes Red, but as a sibling, like how Orange is to Pink, how Purple is to Dark Green, or how Dark Blue is to Light Green.
But like everyone, he hides secrets.
Like how he's like a beast.
A beast that will lose everything unless he finds someone who loves him for who he is.
He's a cursed man in a wonderful fairy tale. But when the story is over, will he have a happy ending?
Dark Green
Dark Green fits him; No, it is him. Serious, striking, and handsome. Like his eyes.
They're the color of nature. The color of leaves.
He's the stronger, deeper version of Light Green. The two fit together like puzzle pieces.
He's similar to Purple. Under that cool exterior lies a sad interior. But he hides it for Pink's sake.
In fact, Dark Green and Purple are mainly the same.
They both saw a loved one die in front of them.
They both had to run from the person who killed that loved one.
They both only stayed sane because a younger sibling.
He's green. The opposite of Red.
Light Green
She's a Light Green. Serene, serious, but can be as fierce as Red when she's annoyed. Like her eyes.
She's the detective. The one who wants to know the who, what, where, when, and the why.
She's similar to Dark Blue. Both of them had a father that didn't approve of what they wanted to do. Both of them aspire to find justice.
That's how they're friends.
Deep down, Light Green thinks the group as her extended family.
Orange and Purple are the mothers, always supportive until the end.
Light and Dark Blue are the fathers, willing to defend to the end.
Yellow and Red are the sisters, always available for a chat.
Pink, Green, and Rainbow are the brothers, always able to be a make her laugh.
But the love between Light and Dark Green is far deeper than people think.
But no matter how close to a real family they are, they'll never be as close to her as her father.
Yellow
She's a bright, bright yellow. Happy, plucky, and bubbly. Her hair is the sun and the sky is her eyes.
She's the color of sunshine. No, she is sunshine.
It fits her, because sunshine makes a rainbow, right?
Despite all the rainy days Yellow has been through, she still smiles.
Because eventually, the sun will shine again.
She's like a bridge between Red and Green.
The link that makes them the best of friends.
Like how Rainbow is to Green and Pink.
Despite her frail exterior, something powerful beats within her.
The Dragon heart, which is the key to the shield.
Orange
She's the color of fire. She's got the optimism of Yellow and the power of Red. A happy but deadly hard hitter.
The total opposite of her cool sister, Purple.
She's the older sibling of all the kids, Red and Pink especially.
She's like an older Red. Just as passionate, but more intelligent.
She fits her color perfectly. Friends of Yellow and Red, and the total opposite of the two Blues.
Then again, opposites attract, right?
Light Blue and Orange. They contrast so perfectly they fit. Like yin and yang.
Then again, she's like a bird in a cage. A cage made up of the secrets of the people around her.
But does the bird have any secrets of her own? That is something everyone wonders.
Red
She's a blood Red. The color of passion, the color of love. It's in her eyes and her nature.
She's the fiercest of them all. She brings out the fire in everyone.
It's ironic. Her name means white and pure.
But at heart, she's Red and a devil.
She isn't evil, but she certainly isn't good. That's too boring here.
She loves red. It matches her eyes and her personality.
But it also matches her blood stained past.
It's true, she's cheery. But under the happy exterior lies a cold, bleak interior.
An interior locked away by the locks of her soul.
But who is the key to the locks? The answer is her friend from childhood known as...
Pink
He's Pink. A shy, sweet shade of Pink.
Even though he's a guy, his power is of the mind, the Dragon Eye. That somewhat explains why he's Pink.
He's the one who can see into the deepest, darkest depths of a person's mind. He can see their powers, likes, and loves.
He's the psychic.
It's an amazing ability, one like a double edged sword.
It's true; he can see what others think. Predict his opponent's moves, and know their deepest, darkest secrets.
But some secrets should never be seen. Some secrets are so bad, they can drive people insane.
Like the secret of the watch. The watch he won.
The watch that has something inside of it.
Something insane.
Rainbow
He's not purely one color, or one element. He's a blend of them all.
He's not as passionate as Red, as fiery as Orange, as optimistic as Yellow, as serious as the Greens, as powerful as the Blues, or as secretive as Purple.
So, what is he?
Is he simply a young boy looking for his lost father?
Or is he a hero destined to save the world?
He's full of questions but has little answers.
He's like a rainbow. The center piece that keeps the other colors together.
He's like a peace symbol. He stops the other colors from fighting...When he's not doing it himself.
But even so, he's a symbol of something important.
He symbols no how dark and bad the storm is, a rainbow will always show after.
