Bubbles P.O.V.

I looked my reflection and smiled slightly as I saw the raw determination in my eyes.

We were going to win this.

I threw on a pair of black skinny jeans with slits all up the front, a dark blue corset with roses embroidered around the small of my waist and forming a strap around one shoulder, and a pair of dark blue pumps.

I quckly ran a brush through my hair and grabbed my mic, amp, and purse before bolting to Buttercup's room.

"YOU UP?!" I screamed.

"Da fuck?" I heard a groggy voice on the other groan.

I giggled, "I'm calling Mitch, so start getting ready."

"Mm hm." She yawned.

'How is she not awake at six pm?' I thought to myself in wonder.

I dialed Mitch's number and he answered on he first ring, "Hello?"

I smiled, "Hey Mitch. We're ready when you are."

"For what?" He asked, confused.

I froze, "Don't tell me you forgot!"

"Who is it, baby?" I heard a breathy feminine voice ask from the room.

My face flamed, "Oh. Um... oh. Well, er, w-whenever your... finished, c-come on over."

"Bubbles wait." He said but I hit the end button.

I banged my head against the wall. That had to be the most awkward and humiliating phone call I'd ever had.

"How long do I have to get ready?" Buttercup called.

"A while. He forgot about it." I said, a slight note of hysteria in my voice.

She noticed, "You okay?"

"Fine." I replied, my face still beet red.

Half an hour later Mitch arrived with Robin and Tyler already in the car. I gulped before walking outside with Buttercup and taking my usual seat in the back.

"Did everyone bring their instruments?" Robin asked.

"Mine and Mitch's are in he trunk with Robin's keyboard." Tyler said.

I held mine up and Buttercup grimaced. "I told Boomer to bring mine from the school. Let's just hope Bad Boy shows up or we're screwed."

"Why are you blushing?" Robin asked me.

"I'm not." I said quickly, too quickly.

"What happened?" Tyler asked.

I saw the tip's of Mitch's ears turn pinkish.

"Nothing, I'm just nervous." I said.

Buttercup snorted, "You really are a terrible liar."

I scowled at her but she hardly seemed to care.

Robin nudged me, "Tell us what happened, and don't skip all the juicy details."

I made a my-lips-are-sealed motion and Robin huffed in irriation.

"Why are you so quiet Mitch?" Tyler questioned.

Mitch shrugged.

"Did something happen between the two of you?" Buttercup asked, connecting the dots sooner than I would of given her credit for.

"No." We chorused in rushed tones.

"If you don't tell us, we'll assume it's something worse than it really was." Robin sang.

My face turned scarlet as I said, "It was just... a wierd phone call."

Tyler raised an eyebrow, "Wierd?"

Mitch sighed, "Bubbles called me when I was... with Gwen."

"Ooooh." They whispered with identical wide eyed looks.

I bit my lip, "It's not a big deal. Let's just pretend it didn't happen."

They didn't say anything more, but judging from the look on Robin's face, she sure as heck wanted to.

"We're here." Mitch said after a while.

We all got out of the car and looked at the huge circle of bands in the otherwise empty parking lot.

"I guess we set up over there." Robin said.

Everyone got their instruments but when we started to walk over there when Buttercup sucked her teeth, "I don't see Boomer."

"I heard my name!" A voice screamed from the circle.

We all looked at a certain blonde who was standing by a green and black drumset. We all ran over and Buttercup looked as if she could of kissed him.

When we finished setting up I turned to Boomer, "Do you know what to do?"

He gave me a no duh look, "Who hasn't seen Pitch Perfect?"

I motioned to the rest of the band who smiled sheepishly.

Boomer shook his head with a dramatic sigh, "Can any of you play to ear?"

They all nodded and he looked relieved.

"Then just follow me and Bubbles' lead." I pulled a slip of paper out of my pocket and handed it to Mitch.

"This is a list of songs we can't do." I explained.

"Why not?" He asked.

I shrugged, "They played them in the movie, it seemed unoriginal."

"Unoriginal is not a word." He grinned.

I huffed and was about to say something when someone stepped in the middle of the circle with a microphone.

"Hello, hello battle of the bands winners!" He boomed and there was loud applause.

He continued, "Well I'm going to jump right into this with... the riff off wheel!"

The applause was almost deafening.

He held up a flashlight looking thing and finished his little speech, "The winner gets six hundred bucks and six tickets to Hollywood Undead live!"

Mitch almost cried.

He flashed the wall on the concrete and it landed on Ladies Of The Eighties. A band with a distinctly depressing vibe started up.

"I hear the ticking of the clock

I'm lying here the room's pitch dark

I wonder where you are tonight

No answer on the telephone

And the night goes by so very slow

Oh I hope that it won't end though

Alone

Till now I always got by on my own

I never really cared until I met you

And-"

The singer was cut off by a band right across from them starting to play.

"And there's nothing that I just wouldn't do

Turnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apart

Turnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apart

And I need you now tonight

And I need you more than ever

And if you-"

Before that band could really get going, a group right next to them began.

"You took my heart and you took my pride away

I hate myself for loving you

Can't break free from the things that you do

I wanna walk but I run back to you

That's why I hate myself for loving you

Daylight, spent the night without you

But I've been dreamin' 'bout the lovin' you do

I won't be as angry 'bout the hell you put me through

Hey, man, bet you can treat me right

You just don't know what you was missin' last night

I wanna see your face and say forget it just for spite

I think of you every night and day

You took my heart and you took my pride away

I-"

I nodded to my fellow band members and began to sing,

"I know a guy who's tough but sweet-"

I winked at Tyler after I sang the line and he just grinned as he started to play his bass.

"He's so fine, he can't be beat-"

I walked up to him after that and threw an arm around his shoulder.

"He's got everything that I desire-"

He was having trouble not laughing at this point and Robin and Boomer were snickering.

"Sets the summer sun on fire

I want candy, I want candy

Go to see him when the sun goes down-"

I ruffled his hair and all the other bands seemed to be enjoying the little show as well.

"Ain't no finer boy in town

You're my guy, just what the doctor ordered

So sweet, you make my mouth water

I want candy, I want candy

Candy on the beach, there's nothing better

But I like candy when it's wrapped in a sweater

Some day soon I'll make you mine,

Then I'll have candy all the time

I want candy, I want candy

I want candy, I want candy."

I finished the song with a swift kiss on Tyler's cheek and everyone cheered.

"Fierce Freaks wins the round!" The announcer guy said.

He started the wheel up again and it landed on cheesy love songs. The band next to us started up immeadiatly.

"You are my fire

The one desire

Believe when I say

I want it that way

But we are two worlds apart

Can't reach to your heart

When you say

That I want it that way

Tell me why

Ain't nothin' but a heartache

Tell me why

Ain't nothin' but a mistake

Tell me why

I never wanna hear you say

I want it that way

Am I your fire

Your one desire

Yes-"

Another band started up and I was glad. The previous song had made me want to pack up and leave it was so annoying.

"Yes, she caught my eye,

As I walked on by.

She could see from my face that I was,

Flying high,

And I don't think that I'll see her again,

But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful, You're beautiful,

You're beautiful, it's true,

I-"

Boomer nodded at us and started singing a song I was all too farmilliar with.

"I gotta take a little time

A little time to think things over

I better read between the lines

In case I need it when I'm older-

I started to join in, transforming the song into the duet from Rock of Ages.

Aaaah woah-ah-aah

In my life there's been heartache and pain

I don't know if I can face it again

Can't stop now, I've traveled so far

To change this lonely life-

Boomer seemed to have seen the movie as well because the next part we sang together.

I wanna know what love is

I want you to show me

I wanna feel what love is

I know you can show me

Aaaah woah-ah-aah

I'm gonna take a little time

A little time to look around me

I've got nowhere left to hide

It looks like love has finally found me

In my life there's been heartache and pain

I don't know if I can face it again

I can't stop now, I've traveled so far

To change this lonely life

Let's talk about love

I wanna know what love is

The love that you feel inside

I want you to show me

And I'm feeling so much love

I wanna feel what love is

No, you just cannot hide

I know you can show me

Yeah

I wanna know what love is

Let's talk about love

I want you to show me

I wanna feel it too

I wanna feel what love is

I want to feel it too

And-"

I groaned as a different band started up. So close.

"And I will always love you.

I will always love you.

I hope life treats you kind

And I hope you'll have all you've dreamed of.

And I wish to you, joy and happiness.

But above all this, I wish you love.

And I will always love you.

I will always love you.

I will always love you.

I will always love you.

I will always love you.

I, I will always love you.

You, darling, I love you.

Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you."

They finished the song and people clapped politely, but honestly the song was so overused I knew everyone there had just been praying it would end quickly.

"Alright, alright Baby Doll and her Toys win the round!" Announcer guy said.

Before he could start the wheel, I noticed a farmilliar face sitting behind a drumset a little ways a way.

"Oh my goodness, is that Butch?" I asked Boomer who grimaced.

"Yeah. They won the battle of the bands back in Nevada. Brick is on guitar."

Robin looked up at the sound of the name and almost melted when she saw the red head.

"Keep your focus." Mitch reprimanded. The wheel landed on Overused Movie Songs and after a few seconds, Butch's band started up.

"Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me

I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed

She was lookin' kinda dumb with her finger

And her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead

Well the years start coming, and they don't stop coming

Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running

Didn't make sense not to live for fun

Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb

So much to-"

They were cut off by a very country band that made me want to puke about two seconds into the song.

"To you

Here I come, Alabama

Ah ah ah

Alabama, ah ah ah

Alabama, ah ah ah

Alabama, ah ah ah

Alabama

Now Muscle Shoals has got the swampers

And they've been known to pick a song or two

(Yes, they do!)

Lord, they get me off so much

They pick me up when I'm feeling blue, now how about you?

Sweet home Alabama

Where the skies are so blue

Sweet home Alabama

Lord, I'm coming home to you-"

They were interrrupted (Thank goodness) by Butch's band, yet again.

"You can tell by the way I use my walk

I'm a woman's man no time to talk

Music loud and women warm

I've been kicked around, since I was born

And now it's all right, it's okay

And you may look the other way

We can try to understand

The New York times' effect on man

Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother

You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive

Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'

Stayin' alive, stayin' alive

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive

Well now, I get low and I get high

And if I can't get either, I really try

Got the wings of Heaven on my shoes

I'm-"

I nodded started to sing with a brief nodd directed at my band mates.

"I'm walking on sunshine, woooah

and don't it feel good!

Hey , alright now

and dont it feel good!

hey yeh

I used to think maybe you loved me, now I know that its true

and I don't want to spend all my life , just in waiting for you

now I don't want u back for the weekend

not back for a day , no no no

I said baby I just want you back and I want you to stay

woah yeh!

I'm walking on sunshine , wooah

I'm walking on sunshine, woooah

I'm walking on sunshine, woooah

and don't it feel good!

Hey , alright now

and don't it feel good!

hey yeh ,oh yeh

and don't it feel good!

walking on sunshine

walking on sunshine

I feel the love,I feel the love, I feel the love that's really real

I feel the love, I feel the love, I feel the love that's really real

I'm on sunshine baby oh

I'm on sunshine baby oh

I'm walking on sunshine wooah

I'm walking on sunshine wooah

I'm walking on sunshine wooah

and don't it feel good!

I'll say it again now

and don't it feel good!"

I finished the song and the announcer guy said, "And the beautiful blonde from Fierce Freaks wins it for 'em again."

He spun the wheel again and it landed on Break Up Songs. That depressing band began to play again.

"Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry

You don't know how lovely you are

I had to find you, tell you I need you

Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions

Oh, let's go back to the start

Running in circles, coming up tails

Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy

It's such a shame for us to part

Nobody said it was easy

No-"

Boomer cut in.

"No, you didn't have to stoop so low

Have your friends collect your records

And then change your number

Guess that I don't need that though

Now you're just somebody that I used to know

Now you're just somebody that I used to know

Now you're just somebody that I used to know

Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over

But had me believin it was always something that I'd done

But I don't wanna live that way

Reading into every word you say

You said that you could let it go

And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know-oh-oh

But-"

That Baby Doll band started to play.

"But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded

That for me, it isn't over

Never mind, I'll find someone like you

I wish nothing but the best for you, too

Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said

Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

You know how the time flies

Only yesterday was the time of our lives

We were born and raised in a summer haze

Bound by the surprise of our glory days

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

I had hoped you'd see my face and-"

A band that hadn't played before started up.

"And don't tell me you're sorry 'cause you're not

And baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught

But you put on quite a show, really had me going

But now its time to go, curtains finally closing

That was quite a show, very entertaining

But its over now

(But its over now)

Go on and take a bow

Oh, and the award for the best liar goes to you

(Goes to you)

For making me believe that you could be faithful to me

Let's hear your speech out

How about a round of applause?

A standing ovation?

But you put on quite a show, really had me going

Now its time to go, curtains finally closing

That was quite a show, very entertaining

But its over now

(But its over now)

Go on and take a bow

But it's over now"

They finished the song and I couldn't help but cheer. They had been really good.

Announcer guy even seemed mildly impressed, "And The Underdogs bite back. Last round people and Fierce Freaks are in the lead. However, there is going to be a few changes. All singers must dance with the song they perform. And it better be pretty damn hot too. Guy singers are exempt."

"Sexist pig!" Buttercup yelled over a few other complaints.

He just smiled. The wheel spun and it landed on Good Girl Songs.

People were hesitant to start, but eventually Butch's band started up. Brick was on guitar and Butch was playing the drums, but I didn't recognize the singer. He seemed to know me though.

"I make them good girls go bad-"

He winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"I make them good girls go

Good girls go bad, good girls go bad-"

He started walking towards me and when I scoffed he cupped my chin and lifted my head so I was looking at him.

"I know your type, you're daddy's little girl

Just take a bite

(One bite)

Let me shake up your world-

I jerked away from him and he just smirked.

'Cause just one night couldn't be so wrong

I'm gonna' make you lose control-"

He started backing up then after he placed a quick kiss on my cheek.

"She was so shy till I drove her wild

I make them good girls go bad

I make them good girls go bad

You-"

He was cut off by a girl finaly brave enough to try and dance.

"You better learn how to treat us right

'Cause once a good girl goes bad

We gone forever

We stay in, moving around, so low

Ask us where you went, we don't know

And don't care, don't care

All we know is we was at home 'cause you left us there

You got your boys and got gone and left us all alone

Easy for a good girl to go bad

And-"

Her dancing was kinda clumsy and she almost tripped over her own feet multiple times, but she was put out of her misery when a band with a tall Victoria Secret looking model started playing.

"And go, go, go...

Better listen to me

He's low, low, low...

Hey, good girl (hey, good girl)-"

Shoot, more country music. I thought to myself.

You got a heart of gold

You want a white wedding

And a hand you can hold

Just like you should, girl (Just like you should, girl)

Like every good girl does

Want a fairy tale ending, somebody to love

But he's really good at lying

Yeah, he'll leave you in the-"

I nodded to my band with a smile. Time for my experience at Berlesque to pay off.

"The dress is Chanel, The shoes YSL

The bag is Dior, Agent Provocateur-"

I winked at the singer who had approached me earlier.

My address today, LA by the way

Above Sunset Strip, the hills all the way

My rings are by Webster, it makes their heads twirl-"

I started to walk up to him, a rythmic sway to my hips.

"They all say, "Darling, what did you do for those pearls?"

What? I am a good girl-"

As I sing this I ruffle his hair and push him away.

"The age I adore, the day, oh, no more

Breakfast Polo Launch and pools at the shore-"

I sit on Butch's lap and take a drum-stick out of his hands, twirling it expertly in my own.

"The Chateau for cocktails, The Courtyard at night

Downtown is for dinner, the hell is divine

You know I have found the words going round

They all say my feet never do touch the ground

What? I am a good girl"

I stood up, giving him back his drum stick and blew him a kiss before slinging an arm around Brick.

"I am a good girl"

I took his cap and finished the song.

"Ah, ooh, ah, yeah, ah"

I threw it back at him and allowed him to slap me on the butt as I walked back to my band.

"Fierce Freaks wins!" The announcer guy yelled and Mitch started jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas.

I skipped up and got the tickets from the guy before handing them to Mitch. He looked at them and then at me, speechless. Before I could giggle at his expression, he grabbed both sides of my face with his hands and kissed me fully on the mouth.

"Oooooh." The other bands chorused as my face turned bright red.
