Yugi stiffened beside, Atem, causing the Pharaoh's next words with which he would have continued the tale to die in his throat before his scarlet eyes turned to the young man still leaning on him, softening when he seen where his little one's eyes were directed.

The teen was now staring worriedly at Shaiya, due to what he had just told of their past no doubt, something which made Shaiya arch her delicate brows in question, confusion though only slight confusion marring her features for all of a second before vanishing just as quickly as a grin took its place and she turned her eyes to her brother, who met her gaze.

"I see what you mean about the boy's obvious concern for others. We are sitting here before him and yet he worries still."

Atem softly chuckled at her evaluation, nodding in agreement with her before looking down to his aibou just in time to see the angelic face become a pout. He smiled down at the teen, one hand slowly beginning to stroke the young man's arm, effectively snapping the petite teen's attention back to him.

Upon seeing Atem's smiling face and warm gaze on him, Yugi blushed softly, but didn't dart his eyes away as he usually would. He was about to ask for Atem to continue the story before a bubbling in his stomach stopped him, his blush darkening when the bubbling turned into a rather loud and demanding growl which made the former Pharaoh blink before chuckling.

"I believe its time for you to feed yourself aibou."

The teen's blush grew darker before he turned his head so quickly the Pharaoh wondered how he hadn't given himself whiplash, but the teen showed no signs of even dizziness as he stood and hastily made his way out of the room. The Pharaoh watched the young man leave the room until he disappeared into the kitchen before turning his gaze to his sister whom he found was staring at him thoughtfully.

"What?" he asked with a blink, earning a knowing smile in return.

"You seem to be quite taken with this boy my brother," she replied knowingly.

The former Pharaoh would have blushed if he was able, but as he had no blood of his own, it never reached his face, something he was rather thankful for on certain occasions such as this one, but little did he realize, he had other nervous give aways which he showed now by fidgeting on the sofa.

"I don't.."

"Don't even think about finishing that sentence, Atem Sennen. I am your sister, I know when you're lying to me."

Atem sighed un-neededly, casting his eyes to the kitchen where he could easily hear Yugi shuffling about the kitchen before returning his scarlet gaze to his sister, a true smile lighting up his features which made her eyebrows rise in surprise. Her brother hadn't smiled in such a way for thousands of years, but seeing it now made a slight smile of her own lift her lips.

"Yes, he is very precious to me..more precious perhaps than even, Heba was."

From inside the kitchen, Yugi tried to hear what the vampires in his living room was saying, but their tones were too soft for him to hear anything so he focused instead on making his food, his stomach a constant growling sounding off and demanding nourishment.

He put water on the stove to boil for ramen, his mind suddenly not on the food, but on the vampire in the living room. Since he had met Atem things had been so much more interesting. He didn't dread coming home anymore, where as before he used to feel so lonely when he got back and sat alone in his room, he looked forward to getting back now, knowing that Atem would be there waiting for him.

He recalled the day he had met the vampire, huddled up in an alley, dirty, and homeless, dressed in rags that he learned later had once been the tunic of the proud Pharaoh he once was. He remembered when he first spoke to the man, Atem had practically jumped out of his skin before trying to hide the corpse of the rat that had been his meal, tried to hide his mouth with one hand, tried to look away to hide his glowing eyes.

Yugi had known what Atem was right then and while others would be afraid and run screaming, Yugi's curiosity had been tickled and he'd offered for Atem to come with him back to the game shop where he could at least clean up and get some clothes. The vampire had refused at first, either not trusting him or himself, Yugi wasn't sure, but after persistence and searching for the vampire when he changed his location, Atem finally gave in albeit reluctantly and begrudingly.

The vampire had been rough around the edges at first, moody, and untrusting, but as time began to go on, he seen with his own eyes the vampire come out of his figuritive shell and begin to relax around him, start smiling, start laughing, and when he started being...affectionate. Yugi's face lit up once again at the last part, but now that he was alone in the kitchen he began to think over his emotions towards the man.

He felt a giddiness when he thought about, Atem and found himself daydreaming sometimes in class about himself and the vampire cuddling and watching a movie or sitting in front of the fireplace together drinking hot chocolate to ward off the cold of outside. He would blush easily if they got close together, or when Atem would come from the bathroom shirtless with water dripping off his bare, tan, godlike chest. His heartbeat would pick up when Atem was near him or when he thought of him, much like it was doing now.

Could this mean...?

"Aibou?"

Yugi started and looked to the doorway, where Atem stood, staring worriedly at him.

"Y-Yes...?" he stuttered, feeling a bluch heat up his face.

"I think the water is boiled enough.." Atem replied, pointing to the pot.

Yugi blinked, looking down at the pot and gasping when he seen it about to boil over onto the burner, quickly turned down the heat before taking a ramen packet from the pantry and slipping the noodles into the water, setting the seasoning packet aside for the time being.

"S-Sorry.."

He heard Atem chuckle before he seen movement from his peripheral vision, but he kept his eyes carefully on the pot in front of him, too embarassed to look at the vampire again. The male had told him several times that he thought too loudly to be missed after all. What if he'd heard what Yugi had been thinking now too?

What if he knew what Yugi was about to think?

What if he was disgusted and came in to tell him he was leaving?

What if he was going to tell him that they would never work, Atem being a vampire, Yugi being a human?

What if..?

"You think too much aibou.."

Yugi started once again, a soft gasp leaving his throat when tan arms snaked around his waist from behind and the voice whispered softly in his ear, deep and alluring, like hot silk. His violet eyes widened to twice their size as he stood statue still, his face burning red, Atem had basically just told him that he'd heard every thought and yet here he was, holding him like this.

Was it possible?

Did Atem feel the same way?

Did he dare hope?

"Yugi.."

The young man's heart raced even faster at the way the Pharaoh said his name. It was like a purr, a caress, and though Yugi knew he shouldn't let himself get his hopes up too high, he couldn't stop himself from turning in the vampire's arms and looking up into the scarlet eyes, that gazed into his own warmly and..was that lovingly..?

"Ate.."

The teen's words cut off when one tanned hand that was surprisingly warm for a vampire came up and cupped his cheek, the thumb attached to that hand stroking his skin gently as the dusky lips of the former Pharaoh pulled up into a soft, but warm smile and suddenly those lips were coming closer.

Was this really happening?

Did Atem really love him back?

To answer your question aibou, yes I do.

The young man couldn't stop the moan that ripped its way out of his throat nor was he really interested in trying to, he was more focused on the feeling of the male's breath against his now parted lips, as his violet eyes went half lidded and his own petite arms went around Atem's neck as Atem's arm joined his other around Yugi's waist once again and pulled him flush against him. Until Yugi's every thought flew out of the window when surprisingly soft and warm lips met his own at last. Both male's moaned at the sparks that flew through their bodies, centering from their lips, both sets of arms pulling each other closer.

Yugi..

Said teen moaned again at the soft moaning voice in his mind, his petite hands going up and fisting gently in the soft tri-color locks of the Pharaoh.

Yugi..

This time, Yugi replied with a moan of the Pharaoh's name mentally through a link he didn't realize was there until now, as he felt strong, but gentle hands go to his thighs and lift them up, easily making Yugi wrap his legs around the Pharaoh's waist. The vampire moved slightly to the side, pinning Yugi between himself and the counter as a cheeky tongue flitted out and touched his bottom lip, asking for entrance which was only happily granted.

"Yugi!"

Yugi blinked, startled and looked at the doorway, where he seen Atem standing staring at him wide eyed.

"Y-Yes?"

"The water is about to boil over aibou.." Atem replied worriedly. "Are you alright?"

The teen gasped and turned his attention to the pot, sure enough the water was in danger of boiling over the edge onto the burner. He quickly turned the heat down, looking at the doorway from the corner of his eye and sighing when he seen Atem leave to return to the living room.

It had all been just another daydream?

Why was he not surprised?

He only hoped Atem hadn't seen it. He hadn't seemed to, but then again the vampire was rather good at keeping his thoughts and emotions hidden, had he not just thought before that it had taken a long time before Atem had finally come out of his shell and how he hadn't been able to read him?

He sighed in disappointment as he dumped his ramen into the pot, hoping that next time it wouldn't just be a day dream.
