Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't been updating these days, but I went to a trip with my school and I couldn't use my computer. Also, as soon as I came back from the trip, I got ill, so I was unable to write a single word. Well, changing the subject, thank you for all the good reviews I got from you. Annabeth's POV:
I opened my brothers' door. I stepped into the bedroom and saw them, laughing like maniacs on the floor. I rolled my eyes; like I always did when something bothered me, and told them Percy and I were worried of death because we both thought they had been killed by Mrs. O' Leary
"Well, it wasn't our fault" Bobby said
"It was your boyfriend's with his little joke about the sword."
"Ok, if you want to think like that, then do. Changing the subject, I think Percy and I own you two a story"
"Another one?" Matthew said with wide eyes.
"Yes, another one. I bet you will love it."
"What's it about?"
"It's about the time we defeated the Titan Kronos."
"Great! So, you aren't mad at us?"
"Not a little bit. Now, go downstairs. Dad and Susan went out, so it's just the four of us for lunch. We will tell you the story there. All right?"
They didn't answer. They just passed running next to me like flashes. They went downstairs with me behind them. I couldn't believe those two were so credulous.
I arrived at the kitchen and Bobby and Matthew were already sitting down. At that very moment, Percy came into the place. I kissed his cheek and went to the fridge to look for the food my stepmother had left for us. I put the chicken on the table, and as soon as I did, the twins asked us for the story. The first one to begin with it was Percy.
"Ok, here it goes. Do you consider yourself brave?" my brothers nodded "Great, so after we defeated Kronos and we were safe at camp, two members of the Hermes Cabin, Travis and Connor Stoll, told us they had seen the titan again. They said that while they were alone in their cabin, strange things started to happen."
"What kind of things?" my brothers asked
"We don't know." I continued "The types of things that happen in the movies: doors that close alone, windows that break, footsteps in the wind and someone calling you. Some of us think that Kronos it's out there, waiting for us. We suppose he want to kill us."
"But… you don't believe it, do you?" Bobby said. He was scared, and I knew it
"Well, we do believe Kronos can be out there, but we don't believe that silly story of things moving by themselves or strange things that only happen in horror movies"
"And how do you…?" Matthew's sentence was interrupted by a running tap. It came from the kitchen
"Annabeth, I thought your dad and stepmom weren't here"
"They aren't, Percy"
"Do you think…?" he was interrupted by the sound of the bath being opened
"Guys… what's happening?" my brothers asked us
"I don't know…" I whispered
"Don't make a single noise, ok?" Percy asked us
We all closed our mouths. At that very moment, we heard a voice. A shaky, metallic voice coming from nowhere.
"Perseus… Annabeth…" it said. It was barely audible.
That was the final moment. The twins screamed like little girls and went running towards their room. When Percy and I heard the door shutting, we started laughing like there was no tomorrow. I had tears in my eyes.
"You know… this plan… was the best… of all our days" my boyfriend said between laughs
"I know!" I said and we continued laughing
When both of us calmed down I wiped the tears out of my eyes and told Percy:
"That thing you did with the water… Excellent, Percy, excellent." My breath was heavy because of the laughing and so was Percy's
"I know. And what about the tape you recorded with our names. It was fantastic!"
"You know what? I could bet all the money in the world that they won't bother us again"
"Agreed" he drank a little of his coke and then asked me "What if they tell your dad?"
"My dad won't believe them. He doesn't think that ghosts and magical things exist"
"But… monsters, demigods and gods are magical things"
"Yes, I know, but I mean the magical things that Hollywood shows us in the movies and series"
"I understand now. So… I'm going upstairs. Are you coming with me?"
"Yes, obviously. Just let me clean this before"
"I'll help you"
We started cleaning the table and when we were done, we went upstairs. Percy wanted to take a shower. While he did, I just rested on my bed, thinking of how silly my brothers were. The way they shouted… the funniest moment of my life.
At that moment, I heard my phone ringing. I went to pick it up and took the call
"Hello? Annabeth Chase talking"
"Hello, Annabeth" said a female voice I knew perfectly
"Mom?"
