Percy's POV:

Believe me; I had never been so happy about being in New York again. After we said goodbye to Annabeth's family, we got on Mrs. O' Leary and went to the Chase's garden, where I crashed into the shadows and left. Annabeth was behind me, and as we travelled, I could feel her getting more tensed as she tightened her grip of my waist. She buried her face in my back a couple of times, but instead of being bothered by it, I found it kind of cute. I knew she was a bit scared. Since Tartarus, she didn't like dark places. I kept riding my hellhound until we reach our destiny: Central Park.

When my view cleared, I saw we were standing by a bunch of trees behind the lake. It was dark, and nobody was there. The park was probably closed, but we would manage to get out. I got down and the helped Annabeth.

"You can go now, big girl." I told my dog "Thanks for everything."

As Mrs. O' Leary went away, I turned to see Annabeth and wrapped my arm around her waist. Her expression was a mix of shock, fear and relief. I smiled a little and kissed her forehead.

"Are you all right?" I asked her

"Yeah, I think so"

"Relax; it's always hard the first time"

"If you say so… Well, where are we going? Your place?"

"Not exactly my place… but my place"

"You know that what you just said doesn't have any coherence, don't you?"

"It does, the thing is you don't understand it… yet"

We started walking towards the lake, which was only a few meters away from us. Annabeth kept asking what I was doing, but I couldn't tell her.

I stopped when we reached the shore of the lake. I wrapped my arms around my girlfriend while she was looking at me like I was crazy. I probably was.

"You ready?" I asked her

"For what?"

"You still haven't discovered what I'm doing, have you?"

"You don't give me many clues, if I may say" she said sarcastically

"You will understand now"

After I said that, I hugged her tightly and throw us to the lake. She didn't even have time to shout. We just hit the water and I took us to the bottom of the lake. I also created an air bubble for her to breathe. When she recovered from the surprise, she hit my arm. It actually hurt, so I rubbed it.

"What was that for?" I asked her

"I'm pretty sure you know why"

"Because I throw you into a lake?"

"Yes, Percy! That's why!"

"Come on… I told you I would make you do something that had to do with water"

"But I didn't think you were going to throw me into Central Park's Lake!"

"This is not what I was going to ask you, anyways…"

"And what were you going to ask me, if I may ask?" she was angry, but not for too long

"We got together in the air bubble I made back at Camp Half – Blood." I explained her "And we are now in another air bubble. I want to live that moment again."

"So what?" Annabeth asked wrapping her arms around my neck, coming closer "You are going to kiss me now?"

"Only if you want to" I said making our noses touch

"And if I said that I don't want to kiss you? What would you do then?"

"I would break this bubble but I wouldn't let you swim to the surface. That way you would drown and learn your lesson." I smiled

"And what lesson would that be?"

"That if you don't want to die, you should always kiss the son of Poseidon."

"What a cute and caring boyfriend" she said ironically

"Yes I know that." I said "Now come here"

We kissed, with her arms around my neck and my hands on her hips. I don't know how long the kiss lasted, but it was as good as the original one. When we separated, Annabeth smiled and planted a long kiss on my cheek. That's when I decided to wrapped my arms around her waist. She looked into my eyes and smiled again.

"We should get going" she said "It's getting late"

"Come on! It's not that late!"

"It is, and you know it."

"Yes, I do, but I want to stay here"

"I know, I do to, but your mother will be very worried if we don't get there soon"

"All right, but…"

"But…"

"Just give me one more kiss"

"As you wish"

After she said that, she leaned in and gave me one of her kisses. After we pulled apart, I gave her a short kiss on the cheek and broke the air bubble.

Once we were on the surface, as I was already dry, I helped her by grabbing her hand. That way, she got dry too. We walked away without any problem, thanks for a police who let us out. We called a taxi and I gave the driver my address.

Twenty minutes later, we arrived. I pad the taxi driver and we got out of it. I opened the building door and we went to the elevator. When we reached my apartment I looked at Annabeth before opening and winked at her. Finally, I opened the door.

"Mom! We're back!" I called as we entered and closed the door.

My mom came from the kitchen and gave us both a hug. First, she hugged Annabeth, and then, she hugged me. When she pulled apart from me, she started kissing my cheek multiple times.

"Mom… mom…" I said between each kiss, but yet, I was smiling

"Hey, I'm your mom." She told me smiling too "Your girlfriend isn't the only one with the right to give you kisses, you know?"

I swear that Annabeth and I turned as red as blood. I gulped and looked anywhere but my mom or Annabeth. I also scratched the back of my neck, something I did when I was embarrassed or nervous. My mom laughed and then said:

"Come on, I baked cookies for you two, guys"

We walked into the kitchen and I noticed that Paul wasn't there.

"Where's Paul?" I asked as my mom handed us a plate of cookies

"Out, shopping for some groceries I needed"

"Oh…"

"But that isn't important. The important thing is that you tell me how it was. Did you have a good time?"

"Well, it was…" Annabeth looked at me, trying to find the exact word to sum our trip up "interesting."

"I hope that's good"

"Just do us one favor mom" I told her

"Whatever you want, honey"

"Next time we tell you we are going to San Francisco," I said looking at Annabeth "stop us. Just stop us."
