This is so unbelievably overdue I'm so sorry. I tried to stay on top of this during the semester but it's impossible. However there will be more soon:) Let me know what you think? I hope you enjoy it!

It was 10 am the next morning and I was sitting at the kitchen table between Lali and Lia. I had made all of us breakfast, madre included, and we were sitting around the table laughing as Lali flung some of her eggs at Tomas with her spoon. Tomas huffed and threatened the little girl by saying he would tickle her until she peed. This caused Lia to laugh even more. Madre simply shook her head at us before looking over at me.

"Thank you for the breakfast nino. Everything was delicious. Right girls and Tomas?" Madre looked at the rest of my siblings expectantly as they settled down from their hysterics.

"Yes Los, everything was great." Tomas smiled at me before taking another bite of his homemade cinnamon rolls.

The other two girls nodded in unison before taking sips of their juice.

"I want to help you clean up Lwos! Like a big girl!" Lia gave me a big smile and shuffled out of her chair before grabbing her little Minnie Mouse plate and taking it to the sink.

"Yeah me too Los!" Lali said as she followed her sister.

Madre chuckled as she and Tomas got up from the table, "Looks like you have your hands full her Los. Abuelo will be over later to help you out, but if you need her sooner make sure you call her!"

I nodded as I went over to the sink and began to have the girls help me load the dishwasher, "Be careful madre, have a good day at work!"

She grabbed her purse and walked towards the front door, I heard her open and close the door. I smiled as I looked down at the girls. They were waiting on me to hand them more silverware, plates, and cups so that their little hands could put them in the dishwasher.

When we were finished I kissed the top of the girls' heads and told them thank you for helping me. They bounced off in search of Tomas.

I took the small moment and went to get my backpack. After retrieving it from my room I went back downstairs to our living room before spreading everything I needed out on the floor. I also took my cell phone out of my pocket and placed in on the floor next to me, making sure the volume was on. I didn't want to miss any texts or calls from Hortencia or Logan.

I shut out thoughts of either one, the raven haired boy being a bit harder to avoid thoughts of, as I worked on my speech about regret. I still didn't have a topic and it was very hard for me to think of one. I didn't really have any regrets. I never did anything that I thought I would regret...not even kissing Logan.

I sighed as I put the speech aside. Working on that would only cause more thoughts about Logan that I wasn't prepared for. I pulled out a literature assignment. It was a poem. My teacher asked us to read it and take notes on the paper she had printed for us.

'The Red Wheelbarrow
William Carlos Williams

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.'

I began reading the poem, and I read it again, and again, and again. I knew it was trying to convey something, but what I was still deciding.

I read it out loud to myself, hoping that would help. Suddenly it hit me. Or at least I thought it did. "It's about how important little things are, things that you might not otherwise notice." I shook my head at thee thought. Maybe that wasn't what the poem meant, I honestly wasn't too good at determining hidden meanings in these things, but I enjoyed reading them. I liked what they meant, I wish I could write my own poems to capture my own feelings and emotions.

Just as I was writing my answer on the sheet my phone began ringing, filling the otherwise quiet living room with "Lately I've been, I've been losing sleep, dreaming about the things we could be."

I hummed along to the One Republic song for a bit before looking down to see who was calling. I stopped humming when I saw the call was from Logan. I picked up the phone and answered the call. Praying my voice sounded stronger to him than it did to me.

"Hey Lo." I tried to put a little pep into my voice and sound excited.

Lo chuckled weakly into the phone, "Hey Los! I'm almost at your house, I just wanted to give you a heads up. I brought my backpack like you suggested."

I smiled as I began moving some of my papers around while still on the phone. "Okay great! Hortencia isn't here yet but I've already started on my work some. Tomas is watching the girls for me right now." I hesitated as I listened to Logan chuck softly on the other line again, "The girls miss you, they told me so...a lot of times actually." I nervously laughed. "They want you to make them sandwiches again."

I could practically feel the smile spreading across Logan's face as he replied, "Well Los, I hope you don't mind having sandwiches for lunch. I don't want to disappoint those two!"

I shook my head, as if Logan could see me, "I don't mind at all Lo. I'll see you soon. Just walk in, the door is unlocked for you."

"Alright Los, I'll see you very soon then."

I hung up the phone and my nerves started again. I couldn't wait to see Logan, and I was kind of glad he was arriving before Hortenica. It would give us time to talk. I tried to ignore the feelings of dread blossoming in my gut and replace them with more positive thoughts.

No matter how today went, I would have Lo, and James wouldn't.
I smiled at that thought as I went back to work on the poem, highlighting what I thought were key words as I waited patiently.

A few minutes later I heard the door open and close. I yelled out, "Lo!" Hoping there wasn't some ax wielding murderer in my house.

There was a familiar chuckle as Logan came into the room. I felt my breath hitch and my face heat up as I took in his appearance.

Logan was sporting dark jeans, a light blue v-neck, and a dark gray jacket. He walked over and dumped his backpack next to mine. "I bet you thought I was a killer or something."

I looked down at the floor and muttered, "'Shut up."

This only made Logan laugh harder. "Los please. I even told you I was coming! Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you." As he dropped onto the floor next to me a little too close. He reached over for his bag and pulled out a calculus book.

I watched as he dug out a pen and a notebook. Noticing how organized his backpack was compared to my mess. I smiled a little at this. Lo was so organized...definitely a good role model for me. When he looked up at me he raised an eyebrow. "Just gonna sit there and stare?" He chuckled as he pated my leg.

I felt the brush creeping back to my face, "N-no sorry. I guess I was distracted.."I let my sentence trail off. I was indeed distracted. Logan's lips looked even better today than they had when I kissed him before. I was trying hard to resist since I didn't really know where we stood. Or where Logan stood with James.

I shook my head and went back to my own homework. I sat the poem aside, figuring I had done the best I could, and picked up the speech assignment again. Logan noticed this and turned his head towards me.

"Have you started?" He asked, voice low.

"Not yet." I shook my head as I responded.

Logan was pondering something. There was a long silence before he spoke up, "Are you going to write it about me?"

"Why would I do that?" My face surely showed the confusion I was feeling. "You've been nothing but good for me."

"Not entirely..." Logan's voice was barely a whisper.

"Oh." I said just as quietly as he had spoken before. "The kiss.."

"It's okay if you regret it..." Logan looked away from me, voice breaking.

"I would never regret it Lo...It was seriously the best kiss I've ever had." I reached out and grabbed Lo's hands squeezing it. I just wanted him to turn and look at me.

But he didn't, not yet anyways.

"I don't want to hurt you." Logan let go of my hand and brought his two hands together tightly.

"Be happy. No matter what, choose what makes you happy, I won't be hurt."

"You're lying." Logan slowly turned to me, his face red and eyes watering.

"No. Like I've said before, you mean a lot to me. Even if we really met not too long ago. Just be happy Lo."

"Even if that means James?"

"Even if that means James.."

Logan sighed and pulled me in for a hug, "You're a really, really, really amazing friend you know."

I fought back the tears as I hugged him back. Silently thinking to myself over and over again, friend.

A few seconds I pulled away, and luckily, Lali and Lia ran into the room screaming, "LWOGAN" before running over to the raven haired boy and climbing into his lap giving his big hugs.

"We missed you," Lali said beaming.

"Yeah we did, we want you to make us more samiches! You make them the best."

Logan chuckled, "I'm sure Los does a better job at the 'samiches'" Logan mocked the girls but stood up with each girl in one of his arms. "But come on, I'll make you guys lunch."

The girls giggled as Logan took them to the kitchen. He turned and gave me and apologetic glance as he walked out of the room. As soon as he was out off sight I face palmed. Stupid, stupid, stupid. How could I tell Logan that I would be okay with him and James? Now he probably thinks I want them together.

Just then, I felt someone fall onto the floor next to me. I uncovered my eyes and saw it was Tomas. He reached out and grabbed my hand, "I heard a little bit of that talk...just the end though."

I felt myself start crying, "Toma-"

"Los, if he doesn't see that you're right for him, it really is his loss.

I couldn't help but wrap my arms around Tomas and pull him in tight. I dried my eyes and sniffled. "Maybe it's me that doesn't deserve him.."

"Bullshit." Thats all Tomas said. He didn't say it angry, he said it sadly. "Since when do you give up on anything you want Los? If you want him, get him."

I pulled back from Tomas and offered a small smile, If this is meant to be.."I started, my voice small, "Then it will be, without me forcing him into it. I believe that with all my heart."

"Sometimes I wonder if your heart is too big Los" Tomas chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck nervously before standing up and reaching his hand down to me, "Come on, take a break from homework and come eat lunch."

I reached out and took his hand, allowing him to pull me up before walking with him to the kitchen.

Less than a minute later I was in the kitchen sitting between Lali and Lia who were happily munching on their triangle sandwiches. Lia gave Logan a thumbs up and he smiled in her direction before looking at Carlos and Tomas. "You guys want sandwiches too? I don't mind making some for everyone."

Tomas nodded and I mumbled a "yeah." Logan sighed as he turned back towards the mess of bread, peanut butter, and jelly. Tomas looked over at me and raised an eyebrow while I just shrugged.

Suddenly, "Lately I've been, I've been losing sleep, dreaming about the things we could be." filled the room and I grabbed my phone quickly. Looking at who the call was from I noticed it was Hortencia and that it was around noon. I answered the call, "hey Hortencia!"

"Hey Carlos, I'm on my way! Is the door unlocked or should I call you when I'm there?"

I smiled at the sound of my friend's voice, "It's unlocked, just come in, we might still be in the kitchen eating lunch when you get here."

Hortencia chuckled, "Always eating, but I'll be there soon Carlos!

"See you soon"I answered before Hortencia ended his half of the call. I laid my phone back on the table as Logan put two sandwiches in front of me.

"For you ." Logan smiled and his dimples deepened. I couldn't help but smile in return.

"Thanks bud." I dug into the food quietly, aware of the change in Logan's facial expression, although not knowing what it meant entirely.

Logan sat down across from me and began eating his own sandwiches slowly, very meticulously. I mentally laughed at that. He always ate his food so carefully. However, watching him eat hadn't been the best decision as I got caught up on the way his lips looked while he was chewing. Even then I wanted to kiss him. Then I noticed the bit of jelly under his lip.

"Uh Lo..you uh got something right there." I pointed to where the jelly was and Logan's face urned a deep crimson.

"Thanks Los." Logan licked the jelly and I had to fight the light moan that was on the up of my tongue. Since when was I turned on by Logan. yeah he was super hot and all, but I hadn't thought of any guy in that way before. I turned away before he could notice although I felt a light kick under the table.

Tomas was looking right at me and smiling. I smiled back, even though I wasn't sure I wanted my brother to witness me being a little sexually frustrated. Tomas went back to his sandwiches and soon I heard the front door open.

"HELLLLLLO?" I heard a familiar voice call out.

"In the kitchen Hortencia!" I replied before taking a bite of my sandwich and looking at Logan. He suddenly looked worried and I realized he and Hortencia had never properly hung out before. His skin looked a little paler than usual, and his eyes only got wider with Hortencia's heavy seps getting closer. I reached across the able and squeezed his hand quickly, I felt him relax under me and I smiled warmly at him. "It's okay Logan. He's like family too. Just like you."
