There stood an older man with gray hair and a serious face. "Pastor Ted?!" Sean, whose father was a minister, exclaimed.

"Boys, boys, boys," Pastor Ted clucked. At first the group was worried that they'd done something wrong, but a huge smile spread on the pastor's face. "Why wasn't I invited to the party?"

A huge sigh of relief erupted from each of the boys, except for the ones still fighting in the kitchen. Pastor Ted heard the ruckus, crinkled his forehead, and peeked into the apartment. "Jesus!" he cried, pushing aside Lucas and breaking up the boys. "What's going on here?"

As the boys caught their breaths, Caleb processed who was standing in between him and Noel and made a confused face. "Pastor Ted?" he said. "What are you doing here?"

Meanwhile, Ezra tilted his head and whispered to Toby, "Are we going to expect a visit from Zack anytime soon?"

No sooner has the words left his mouth than someone else knocked on the door. Ezra's eyes widened, and he ran over to answer it. Sure enough, there was Zack, grinning and holding a plate of cupcakes.

Toby stared at the new arrival, completely dumbfounded. "That did not just happen."

"Hello," Zack said. "Ella mentioned that Mike was going to a party tonight, so I thought I'd stop by." He peered into the apartment, where Pastor Ted was still trying to get an explanation from the boys on what had happened. "Should I have brought more cupcakes?"

"No, Zack, you're fine. You just came at a bad time. But we're sorting everything out," Ezra said. Suddenly, there was the sound of something shattering, and Ezra whipped around. "Hey! I hope that wasn't my Ezria mug!"

"Your what?" Alex said incredulously.

"Never mind," Ezra said quickly.

"Wait," Alex spoke up again, clearly confused. "Ezra, is this...you and Aria on here?"

"What?" Ezra scoffed. "No! Why would I make a mug like that? That's weird!"

He didn't. The crazy fans did. Obviously.

As awkwardness ensued in the kitchen (even Pastor Ted and Noel had stopped arguing long enough to stare curiously at the object in Alex's hands), Zack bit his lip and said, "Well. Since I came here to drop off cupcakes, and I have, I'll just...go now." With that, he was gone in a cloud of dust, which was unusual because Ezra kept his place super clean to the OCD level. (That's a lie. Most of the time it's Aria berating him to dust his shelves more often or allergy season will be year-round in his apartment.)

The silence continued, and Ezra couldn't help but feel like all eyes were on him. Sighing, he crumbled in defeat. "Okay, let's get real," he said. Then, in a very theatrical way, he pointed an accusing finger at Toby and proclaimed, "He has a stuffed bear with Scrabble pieces on it!"

Suddenly, everyone's attention was focused on Toby, whose mouth was wide open. "How did you find out about my Spoby bear?" he demanded.

"Aha!" Ezra said triumphantly. "So it's true!"

Toby clapped a hand over his mouth, realizing his mistake a little too late. "It was a gift," he said quickly, trying in vain to defend himself. "I didn't want to be rude and throw it out."

"Hang on a second," Lucas said. "If Ezria is for Ezra and Aria –"

"It's not me and Aria," Ezra interjected.

"– then does that mean that Spoby is short for Spencer and Toby?" Lucas continued.

"No!" Toby exclaimed. "Spoby is… the brand name!"

"Sure it is," Noel said. Amidst all the perplexed faces in the room, he alone looked gleeful at the large amount of potential blackmail material he'd just acquired. "I bet you sleep with it every night."

"I thought you were leaving, Noel!" Toby said, his face red with embarrassment.

Finally Noel caved in. Putting his hands up in defense, he strode to the door and, silently in defeat, walked out, all the perplexed men watching.

There was a long pause. Then Lucas let out the breath he was holding in. "That only took forever!" he exclaimed as the rest of the people agreed with him.

Noel sulked while he exited the apartment complex. However, he stopped in his tracks when he heard voices from around the corner. It was Jake and Wren, sitting next to the trash cans that just screamed "Rejected Love Interests."

Sighing, Noel plopped down next to Jake. "Mind if I join you?"

"Sure," Jake said. The trio was obviously having a dreary day. "One more person and we'll be having a party."

Back in the apartment, the boys had determined that it was too late to start another game of poker, so they decided to call it a night.

"You need us to help clean up?" Holden asked Ezra.

"Toby and I can take care of it," Caleb said before Ezra could respond. "You guys go ahead and leave." He winked at Toby and Ezra, who looked at him in confusion.

"Whatever you say," Holden said. "Thanks for hosting the party, Ezra. We should do this again sometime – hopefully with fewer interruptions."

The others nodded in agreement and added their thanks, and then they gathered up any winnings they'd acquired and left the apartment. Toby rounded on Caleb.

"Okay, what was that all about?"

"I just had the greatest idea!" Caleb exclaimed. "But it involves being sneaky."

"Sneaky?" Toby asked. "As in like sleuths?"

"I don't like the sound of this...," Ezra spoke up reluctantly. Caleb was shocked by their hesitance. Didn't they know how epic this was going to be?

"Just listen first," Caleb went on. "We are going to..." He stopped and paused for dramatic effect. "...crash the girls' sleep over!"

"What?!" Toby and Ezra cried out. Toby rambled, "But Spencer specifically warned us not to bother them! And then Aria backed her up, and we know she may look tiny but ever since Jake-" Ezra glared at Toby. "I mean, ever since she picked up those karate moves she's a lot tougher than we think! And Hanna can be scary if wants to be. And Emily's gay, so she must be, like, the three of them combined!"

"Wow," Ezra mumbled. "How stereotypical."

"Guys, guys!" Caleb shouted. "Have you ever heard of the expression YOLO?" Both men nodded, Ezra a bit more uncertainly. "'You only live once.' So I say we do it! Besides, it'll be so much more fun that way, going against their wishes and yada yada!" A hopeful smile clouded Caleb's face. "What do you say, men?"

Toby looked at Ezra and shrugged. "It's up to you."

"So you can make me look like the bad guy if they get upset?" Ezra retorted.

"No, I just want to make sure we're all in agreement!" Toby said.

"Look, if it really means that much to you, I'll take the blame if they get mad. Okay?" Caleb said in exasperation. "Now come on!"

He started for the door, preparing to leave whether Ezra and Toby followed him or not. He was pleasantly surprised when both of them trailed behind him.

"This is going to be fun," he promised as they walked out of the apartment building. "It'll be worth it."

"Easy for you to say. Your girlfriend defends herself with a pink furry lamp," Toby said. "Mine almost stabbed me with a huge knife the last time I tried sneaking into her house."

"Oh, please. You said so yourself Hanna can be scary when she wants," Caleb said. "She once frightened my foster mom into paying me all the money she owed me - which is not a simple task, I can assure you."

Toby held up his hands in surrender. "All right, all right, I'm done arguing. Let's do this."

While the boys were off planning their surprise, Emily, Aria, Spencer, and Hanna were having a blast at their boyfriend-free (and one girlfriend-free) sleepover. They had just started a game of Truth or Dare consisting mostly of truths. One time Hanna had dared Spencer to call Ezra and woo him with her sexy voice, and after much hysterical laughter from Aria and Emily, Spencer had dialed, face red, but he hadn't picked up his phone. So the dare was never completed.

"Maybe we should try to call one more time...," Hanna casually brought up.

"No!" Spencer gasped. "We're moving on, okay?"

"Calm down, guys! It's Aria's turn," Emily shushed them.

"Oh, right! So, Aria," Hanna changed the topic, "let's think of a question for you... Hmmm... What can I ask without it having to be explained in gruesome detail?"

"How about...," Spencer trailed off. "Uh... What's the strangest thing in Ezra's closet?"

"Seriously?" Hanna groaned. "That's the best you can do?"

"Hush!" Emily cried. "Let her answer, I want to know."

Aria bit her lip thoughtfully and squinted her eyes as she thought of the perfect response. "Well, one time I was cleaning out his closet and I found the ugliest pair of..." She paused for dramatic effect. "...cowboy boots."

"COWBOY BOOTS?!" everyone shrieked before falling into crazed laughter. Meanwhile, the guys had just arrived outside their window...and they had heard everything.

Ezra's face flushed a dark red as he tried to pretend no one heard that. "Dude," Toby snickered much to his dismay. "...Cowboy boots?"

"They were for a costume party," Ezra insisted before changing the subject. "Is this really what teenage girls do at sleepovers?"

"Keep it down! They'll hear us!" Caleb hissed. "Besides, I want to listen to this."

"Okay, Hanna, you're up," Spencer was saying. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth," Hanna said predictably.

"While we're on the subject of significant others…" Emily said. "What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to Caleb? That you've seen, of course."

Caleb's eyes widened.

"Well," Hanna started with a giggle. "There was one time when an old lady saw him from the back and thought he was a girl because of his long hair."

As the girls burst into laughter again and begged for more details, Caleb cleared his throat uncomfortably. "All right, I think we've heard enough. Let's go."

"Wait. I'm not so sure about this anymore," Toby said. "What if they find out we were eavesdropping on them?" Ezra, too, appeared to be a little uncertain. Caleb sighed.

"Men, after what we have witnessed here tonight, crashing the girls' sleepover is not simply for fun. It's for revenge. We defended them against Noel earlier tonight, and how are they repaying us? By gossiping about us! Laughing at our expense! We cannot stand for this!"

Toby and Ezra stared at Caleb. "I think that's the most eloquent thing you've ever said," Ezra said finally.

"Thank you," Caleb said, looking pleased with himself. "Now, what are we waiting for?"

And with that, Caleb began to march over to the door.
