Sonic and the Jinchuriki
Kurama no Kyubi: Welcome back guys. I know it's been a while, but I've finally gotten back to writing this story. Also note that I've figured out who Zabuza, Haku, and Tazuna and his family can be. And one more thing, I thought I should let you know that I've started putting up information on characters at the end of each chapter, after the character status; only one character per chapter of course.
Wolfpackersson09: I'll keep my eye out for this. I really like the NaruSaku pairing and hope that Naruto gets his dream girl since Sasuke is so uninterested.
Kurama no Kyubi: I haven't thought much about a pairing for this one, but you do realize that in this case NaruSaku would basically also be TailsAmy, right? I'm not against that pairing though, but for this story as far as a pairing is concerned, I think I'll keep it canon.
Spark681: Some ideas for those four huh, well mighty might make a good tazuna since they are both builders of sorts, antonie for inari since they both act cowardly at first, but can come through in a pinch. As for zabuza knuckles since both are strong/have attitudes with tempers to match. Charmy for haku since both are fast and neither really like hurting people, but do what must be done.
There are my ideas at least, anyways keep up the great work!
Kurama no Kyubi: Unfortunately, I've already got other plans for the four Sonic characters that you mentioned, except for Charmy.
name: good so far as for character matches tazunna can be vector as for zabuzza you can use chaos 0 because there both water users haku could be tikal since both have kind natures but for a male i guess silver and inari can be ray and mephalis for orpchimaru with bio-lizard or blackdoom for itachi unless you plan on useing nack
Kurama no Kyubi: Well, I've already got ideas for Chaos 0, Ray, and Black Doom. Also, Bio-Lizard would seem pretty weird for Itachi, and Nack wouldn't fit personality-wise. Also, Mephalis was my original idea for Itachi, but due to a recent development in the Comics, I changed my mind in favor of someone else. If you're up-to-date and think a little, you might figure out who it is.
Reborn ninja: If nine make it who are u knocking off of rookie 9
Kurama no Kyubi: That's one of the groups I've had the most trouble with, actually (though I extended it to be the Konoha 11). I've already figured out most of them, but I'm having trouble with Shino, Ino, and Hinata.
wolf: make he chapters longer and are you going to give sonic a new form like in sonic and the black knight he got his knight form so is sonic going to get a ninja form?
Kurama no Kyubi: I haven't really thought much about that, mostly because I'm planning on implementing the Chaos Emeralds into this story, but if he is going to get a new form then there would need to be some kind of power source for him to use like in Sonic and the Secret Rings there were the Seven Secret Rings, and in Sonic and the Black Knight there was Excalibur.
Guest: I am guessing that for the bell test kakashi will leave sonic to observe the test and learn the meaning behind it while naruto and his two teammate soon find out just how tough kakashi is I would go sasuke getting tied up to tree stump for after all you sort of made naruto tail alternative in this story which means he does have to have some of his wits which may lead to him figuring out what the test is all about which will to making some form of effort to try and work with his teammates.
Kurama no Kyubi: You're right, he is Tails' counterpart, but if you've read the Archie Comics, you'd know that Tails wasn't always like this, at first he was pretty much as dumb as Naruto if not even dumber. I might have Naruto become gradually smarter though. But either way, the reason he was tied up was because he tried to steal the food for himself, so if he didn't do that then no one would've gotten tied to the stump, which is strange as anyone that didn't get a bell should've been tied to one of three stumps, so really all of them should've gotten tied up.
Guest: As for character suggestion I can think of somebody who'd fit Zabuza's role in this Naruto/sonic crossover the infamous warlord kodo's who was responsible for the great war in sonic's world. But as for the other character who could easily fit the roles of your fanfiction well you'll just need to think outside the box. but as for tenten I would go sally acorn playing the role of the weapon mistress and for the sardonic beliver that fate alone decides everything maybe silver should play the role of neji. as for one of the konahonamaru corp the role of moegi should be played by cute little cream. as fopr closet prevert and self proclaimed master ninja jounin of konahona that role should be played attione d'coolette with a distinct french accent. how do those suggestions sound.
Kurama no Kyubi: Pretty good, but I've already gotten someone else in mind for Antoine. I might go with the others, though.
Guest: so you've finally made up you're mind about who's who for the wave arc right for you finally came through though you could a ranking system for level stats of the character of your stories that way we could have a more accurate way of seeing how much they've grown sort of like that chakra level thing you developed in you loz and naruto crossover.
Kurama no Kyubi: That Chakra Level thing will be present in all of my stories from now on. And yes, I have made up my mind, though Tazuna and Tsunami are in the forms of OC Mobians.
name: i don't get sonic's leveling he was brought in because kurama alone was'nt enough to help naruto assuming the things sonic's fought are stronger or as strong as the thearts to naruto's world plus past experience sonic should be atleast level 45-50
Kurama no Kyubi: I didn't really think it through, but you're right. Therefore I've increased Sonic's level to 45. And while it's rather pointless now, I figured that Iruka and Mizuki also had too low levels, so I increased them as well, though I don't want to bother with updating the previous chapter right now, so I'll just tell you their actual levels here; Iruka: 30, and Mizuki: 30.

Kakashi: Sonic is owned by Sega (though most character models used in this story will be property of Archie) and Naruto's owned by Masashi Kishimoto.
Chapter 2: Bell Test
Hiruzen sat in his office in the Hokage Tower as he looked at the crystal ball which showed Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura waiting for Kakashi. Sonic had been there earlier, but for some reason or another, he sped off in a random direction.
The door then opened and in walked a man who Hiruzen had known since childhood, Shimura Danzo. He didn't look all that normal, though, not at all like a Mobian or an Overlander. Had Sonic seen him, he would've instantly recognized him as Ixis Naugus, a powerful wizard from his own world who had full control over the elements and had even managed to usurp the throne from Sally's brother, King Elias Acorn. Though Danzo had one thing to differentiate him from Ixis, his left arm seemed to be missing, the same arm which ended with a crab-claw in Ixis' case.
"Hiruzen, it's come to my attention that you've allowed some unknown rodent into our ninja force." Danzo said.
"There's no need to worry Danzo. I've got word from a very reliable source that he can be trusted." Hiruzen said.
"And what source is that?" Danzo asked.
"I don't feel like telling you. Now leave." Hiruzen said and Danzo inwardly scoffed before turning around and leaving as Hiruzen's attention turned back to the crystal ball.
Training field 3 (memorial stone training field)
"YOU'RE LATE!" Naruto and Sakura yelled as Kakashi finally arrived… 3 hours after he was supposed to.
"Hmm…? Where's Sonic?" He asked as he looked around, not seeing the blue Hedgehog.
"I don't know. He said something about running 1.000 laps around the village while waiting for you before running off." Naruto said.
"That's totally stupid if you ask me. There's no way he could ever…" Sakura didn't get to finish her sentence as Sonic suddenly zoomed into the training field and skidded to a halt.
"… And that makes a thousand." He said.
"There's no way you could've already run around the village one time, much less one thousand." Sakura stated.
"Please. I'm the fastest thing alive." Sonic said.
"Really?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah, right." Sakura said skeptical.
As they talked, they didn't notice that Kakashi had put a timer down on the middle stump as he cleared his throat to get their attention.
"I've set this alarm to go off at noon." He said as he pressed a button atop the timer before holding up three bells "I have here three small bells, your challenge is to steal these from me before the timer sounds."
"Hah! I only need five seconds to get one of those bells." Sonic said before Kakashi continued.
"Anyone who fails doesn't get any lunch. Instead, you will be tied to that tree stump, so I can eat your lunch in front of you." He said.
'So that's why you wanted us to go without breakfast.' Naruto realized.
'Heh. This guy's a total sadist. Well, good thing I ate my fill in chili-dogs this morning anyway.' Sonic thought.
"All you need is just one bell… apiece. But since there aren't enough to go around, one of you is definitely headed for the stump. And whoever that is will be the first of you to fail. One of you is on your way back to school… and disgrace." The Espio look-alike said, causing Naruto and Sakura to gulp before he continued "You may, if you choose, use shuriken. Attack as though you mean to kill or you'll never stand a chance."
"But… but that's so dangerous!" Sakura said.
"You couldn't even dodge an eraser! You're gonna get yourself killed!" Naruto said.
"Only the weak speak loudly. Now, let's forget the dobe, and we'll start on my signal." Kakashi said.
Naruto then got mad at being called "dobe" and he quickly pulled out a kunai before twirling it around his finger and gripping it before he was about to throw it at Kakashi, but just then Kakashi appeared behind him, grabbed the hand he held the kunai in as well as the back of his head and held the kunai just behind the two-tailed Fox's head.
"Not so fast. I didn't say "go"." Kakashi said.
'Wow…! I didn't even see him move.' Sakura thought.
'So this is a Jonin…' Sasuke thought.
'He's fast…! Much faster than Espio.' Sonic thought with a shocked look on his face before smirking 'But still, he's nowhere near my speed.'
"But at least you struck to kill… So, it seems you've begun to respect me. Heh heh heh… Maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to like you four. And now, ready, set, GO!" Kakashi said before all five of them vanished in different directions.
Sonic hid in the bushes as he looked into the clearing where Kakashi was standing.
'If I remember correctly, when I was in the story of King Arthur, Lancelot used Shadow's Chaos powers during a sparring match once, so I've got to assume that this guy can use Espio's ability to become invisible.' The blue Hedgehog thought before someone's yelling caught his attention and he looked to see Naruto standing out in the open, yelling at Kakashi 'Man, he might look like tails, but the similarities ends there…'
As Sonic watched Naruto attacked Kakashi, who just pulled out a book and started reading. Naruto then started an relentless assault, but Kakashi dodged his every move before appearing behind him, holding his hands in what seemed to be a hand sign like the ones Espio often makes.
"Naruto…! Get out of there! You'll be killed!" Sakura yelled.
"Nanda?" Naruto asked as he looked towards where her voice had come from.
"Too late." Kakashi said before suddenly showing his fingers into Naruto's tail-hole, sending him flying "Konohagakure no Sato's most secret and most sacred technique! Sennen Goroshi!"
"… That's supposed to be Ninjutsu? What kind of "sacred technique" is that? Looks more like he just showed something right up Naruto's butt." Sakura said.
"Huh. They're both buffoons." Sasuke said before Naruto crashed into the water.
'Seriously…? I think I'm gonna be sick.' Sonic thought before thinking 'Still, he's both faster and stronger than Espio, though I've fought opponents that are still faster than him as well as opponents that are stronger.' As Sonic thought this, his mind went to Scourge and Knuckles respectively.
Two shuriken then shot out of the water and headed towards Kakashi, but the Espio look-alike caught both of them while still giggling over his book.
Soon after came Naruto out of the water, completely exhausted, but when Kakashi had turned his back to him, eight clones of the yellow-furred fox emerged from the water before charging at Kakashi.
The real Naruto then jumped on Kakashi's back, however, when one of the clones were about to punch him, he was suddenly switched out with another clone. All of the Naruto's then started arguing before one of the clones suggested that he'd dispel them, so he did only to find out that Kakashi was nowhere in sight.
He then noticed one of the bells lying on the ground next to a tree and he ran towards it, only to have his legs caught in a rope as he was sent dangling up in the tree. Kakashi then came in and picked up the bell before giving Naruto a little lecture, and that's when Sasuke finally saw his chance.
'Here! He's finally off-guard!' The Shadow look-alike thought as he threw several shuriken towards Kakashi and hit him, but then Kakashi simply turned into a log 'He used Kawarimi again… and I just gave away my location! He deliberately acted like he was off-guard… and I fell for it like an amateur!'
'Well, Sal's always told me to look over the situation before taking action, and I guess this is as good as time as any to start listening to her.' Sonic thought before going over the situation in his head 'Now let's see; he's as fast as Blaze, as strong as Vector, and as smart as Tails. How do I beat someone like that? Hmmm… What would Antoine do?' He then imagined what the aforementioned Coyote would likely do.

"Zis ees ze end for you, mon ami!" Antoine said before charging towards Kakashi as he let out a battle-cry, though soon after Kakashi was holding him up in the air by his neck.

'Yep, that was a bad idea…' Sonic thought before hearing what sounded like a scream, a scream he knew all too well, it was Amy's scream, but seeing as there's no way Amy could've been here, he figured that it had to be Sakura, and it was pretty close to.
Sonic the decided to move so that he wouldn't be spotted, and he ran off to the opposite side of the training field.
"I thought you said something about getting one of these bells in 5 seconds." A voice said from behind him, and he turned around to see Kakashi standing there, reading his book.
"I did. So I suppose I should keep to my word, huh?" Sonic said before zooming towards the Jonin.
Kakashi then put his book away as he jumped to the side, just barely dodging.
"1." Sonic said before crouching and shooting himself as a ball towards the Espio look-alike, too fast for him to dodge "2." Sonic then jumped over him, but he turned around and jumped backwards, only for the Hedgehog to zoom past him, and grab him from behind "3." Kakashi then became invisible, causing Sonic to loosen his grip in slight surprise before he got an elbow to the face as he stumbled backwards. He then shook his head to regain his composure before rolling himself into a ball and started spinning as blue lights started circling around him before going into his body as he stopped spinning.
"Light-Speed Dash!" He said as he zoomed past the invisible form of Kakashi and came to a halt in a crouched position as he looked down in his left hand "And 5." In his hand was one of the bells.
He then rose to his feet and looked around, and after not seeing any sign of Kakashi, he figured that the Chameleon had likely gone off to take down one of the others, and soon after he heard Sakura scream again before the timer went off some time later.
Ten minutes later
Naruto was tied to the stump as he had tried to steal all the lunch for himself as Sasuke and Sakura sat on either side of him, and Sonic was sitting off to the side, eating a chili dog.
"Oh, my. Listen to all the little stomachs growl. By the way, you three, I have an announcement about this exercise." Kakashi said as he looked at Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura "None of you need to worry any more about being sent back to the Ninja Academy."
"Yeah!" Naruto said.
'Even me? After the way I fainted? We all passed?' Sakura thought as he her inner self said "Oh, yeah! Love conquers all!"
"This rocks! It means all four of us…" Naruto started, but Kakashi cut him off.
"… Are hopeless. More schooling would be pointless. None of you will ever be shinobi." He said before turning to Sonic "And that means you too."
"Nanda? But I was able to get a bell!" Sonic yelled as he finished his chili dog and held out the bell.
"Yes. But still, neither you, nor any of the others has what it takes." Kakashi said as he returned his attention towards the three that were at the stumps before Sasuke suddenly charged at him.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura shouted before Kakashi easily knocked Sasuke down on the ground, held the Hedgehog's left arm behind his back and had his right foot on the Hedgehog's head.
"What you are is a quartet of spoiled brats…" Kakashi said.
"Don't step on Sasuke-kun! Get off of him!" Sakura yelled.
"Are you trying to make fun of the shinobi with your behavior? Well, are you? Did you even stop to wonder for one minute why you were divided into teams?" Kakashi asked.
"Uhh… Excuse me?" Sakura asked.
"Obviously not. So you missed the entire point of the exercise." Kakashi said.
"It had a point…?" Sonic asked.
"Of course. And that point determines whether or not you would succeed." Kakashi said.
"But… you haven't explained what it is." Sakura said.
"… I don't believe this." Kakashi said.
"Aw, come on, already! Tell us!" Naruto said.
"It's teamwork." Kakashi said before explaining "If the four of you had come at me together, you might have been able to take the bells." Kakashi said.
"I still got a bell, though." Sonic said as he held up the bell.
"Yes. but I didn't anticipate your speed, so you caught me by surprise." Kakashi said.
'… But… wait a minute!' Sakura thought as she realized something "If we were expected to function as a team, why did you only have three bells? Even if we'd worked together, one of us still would have had to go without lunch. You're preaching teamwork, but you played us against each other."
"I get it. You wanted to see if one of us would have the guts to take one for the team, even if it meant going back to the academy." Sonic said.
"Exactly." Kakashi stated before explaining "This task was designed to cause dissension in your ranks. The situation was set up to reveal which of you would set aside your individual interests and propose to the others that you work together for the good of all. Instead of which, you, Sakura, ignored Naruto, who was right in front of you while you focused your attention on Sasuke, though you didn't know where he was. Naruto tried to do single-handedly what should have been the work of all three. Sonic – while doing the same as Naruto – actually succeeded, however, he was too focused on his speed and knew too little of the others' locations, so he didn't realize that he could have ran into them by mistake. And Sasuke had already decided that the others just got in his way and was better off playing solo. You are a team. Learn to act as one. Yes, it's necessary for ninja to have individual skills, but what is even more important now is teamwork. Making a play as an individual is bad for the team and exposes your comrades to unnecessary danger. You might as well kill them yourself. … Here's an example…"
Kakashi then pulled a kunai out of his weapon's pouch before holding it at Sasuke's neck "Sakura. Kill Naruto. Or Sasuke dies."
"Nani?!" Naruto yelled.
"Whoa, whoa! Hang on a sec! Don't you think that might be taking it a little far?" Sonic said before Kakashi rose to his feet as he returned the knife to his pouch.
"The day may come when one of you may be taken hostage, and you're forced to make such a choice. When you are on a mission, your lives will always be on the line." He said before turning around and walking towards the memorial stone which gave the training field its name.
"Look at the marker… all the names carved in the stone. Heroes of our village. Ninja." The Espio look-alike said.
"That's it! I just made up my mind! There's where I want my name to go! I'm not gonna throw my life away! I want to be like them, a hero!" Naruto exclaimed as Sasuke walked back to him and Sakura.
"I don't think you'd want that." Sonic said.
"Huh? Why?" Naruto asked.
"It's a memorial stone. The ones that have their names there were all K.I.A.'d; killed in action. We've got something similar to it where I'm from." Sonic said.
"Sonic's right. This is a memorial. It includes the name of my best friend." Kakashi said.
He then looked at them over his shoulder "… Pay attention… I'm giving you all one last chance. One that will be far more difficult than our last game with the bells. If you're prepared to continue, you may eat one of the bento boxes. But no sharing with Naruto. He goes hungry."
"Why?" Naruto asked and Kakashi turned fully around.
"He brought this on himself when he tried to sneak lunch for himself. If either of you feeds him, you fail the test right there. My word is law. Do you understand?" Kakashi said before shunshining away.
"Hey, this'll be a breeze. I can go without lunch… no problem." Naruto said, though the others weren't convinced as his stomach was rumbling pretty loudly.
Some time later when Sonic was about to eat his last chili dog, he heard Naruto's rumbling stomach, then looked at his chili dog and then back at Naruto. He then appeared before the two-tailed fox in a burst of speed and held out his chili dog.
"Here." He said, surprising the others.
"What…? Are you crazy? Don't you remember what Kakashi-sensei said?" Sakura asked.
"Chill out, will ya? He's got to be far away by now. Besides, I can't just stand by while listening to Tail… uh, I mean Naruto's rumbling stomach." Sonic said before Sasuke suddenly held his bento box up for Naruto.
"You're no good to me if you're just going to be a liability." He said.
'Sasuke-kun…' Sakura thought before mimicking his action.
'Sakura-chan…' Naruto thought before smiling "Arigato…"
Suddenly, however, a large cloud of smoke puffed into existence right before them.
"What the…?!" Sonic yelled before Kakashi came out of the smoke.
"YOU…" He started and the four prepared for the worst "… pass." He stopped before them with an eye-smile.
"We pass? But… why?" Sakura asked.
"You four have just taken a giant step forward." Kakashi said.
"umm… How?" Sakura asked.
"Up until now, all any of you have done is listen unquestioningly to everything I say… like mindless, little drones. A true shinobi seeks for the hidden meanings within hidden meanings. In a ninja's world, those who violate the rules and fail to follow orders are lower than garbage. However, those who do not care for and support their fellows are even lower than that." Kakashi said.
'Heh. Just wait till Sal hears that one. She'll make that the new motto of the Freedom Fighters for sure.' Sonic thought.
'That's… kind of… cool.' Naruto thought.
"This exercise is concluded. You all pass. That's all for today, team 7. Your duties will commence tomorrow." Kakashi said as he gave a thumbs-up.
"I… I did it! I did it! I'm a ninja! Ninja! Ninja! Ninja!" Naruto exclaimed.
'It doesn't look like it.' Sonic thought.
"Let's go home." Kakashi said as he, Sonic, Sasuke, and Sakura all walked off.
"Uh… Hey, guys? I'm still tied up here… Guys?" Naruto yelled after them.
Cave, unknown location
In a dark cave was a man – likely an Echidna if the white dreadlocks weren't any indication – sitting. He was dressed in completely black clothing with the exception of his mask which was basically an orange spiral with a single eye-hole in it.
As he was sitting there, he held his right hand out before him with the palm up as a golden ring hovered above it, showing an image of the training exercise which had just taken place before it zoomed in on Sonic.
"So it seems that the Hedgehog which he warned me about has already arrived in this dimension." He said before closing his hand over the ring as he looked up, revealing a red eye with three black tomoe in it behind the hole in his mask "Then I will have to start with my plans earlier than expected."

Bio: Sonic was born in the peaceful town of Mobotropolis, capital of the Kingdom of Acorn. At an early age, he met Sally Acorn, the Princess of the kingdom, Antoine D'coolette, the son of a highly esteemed General, and Rotor the Walrus. However, one day the peace was shattered when War Minister Julian Ivo Kintobor turned traitor and attacked the town with his army of robots, seizing it in only mere hours and then building the industrial city of Robotropolis atop its ruins with the help of Roboticized Mobians. Five years later, Sonic and his friends formed a group of Freedom Fighters along with the younger member, Miles "Tails" Prower. Soon after, Sonic and Rotor ran across a couple of Swat-bots – Robotnik's mechanical enforcers – that were in the midst of Roboticizing a Rabbit named Bunnie Rabbit, and although Sonic saved her, she was still half-way Roboticized, and she renamed herself, Bunnie Rabbot. Years past as the battles against Robotnik continued, even when he was killed in a decisive battle, he was just replaced by another from a parallel dimension, and even now the fight against him continues.
