15. Chapter Fourteen

Chapter Fourteen

David let out a loud yell as he saw the blood coming out of Daphne. Anger flooded through his body. The ground started to shake causing Morrible to fall to the ground. This made her loose her concentration on her spell.

David dropped to the ground. He ran to Daphne and took his shirt off. He wrapped it around her wound. He tried to stop the bleeding but it was not doing much good. She was losing too much blood too fast. He could feel tears coming through his eyes. He looked up at Morrible and sent her a glare. "I am going to kill you," he told her simply. His voice shook as he spoke.

Morrible laughed at his statement. "You have no magic, boy. How are you going to defeat me?"

A wicked grin crept on his face. He looked out of the corner of his eye and noticed Glinda and William walking behind him. He handed Daphne gently to William. David took a step forward. "I have more magic than you think," He told her. He grabbed the ring on his finger and took it off. His milky skin turned from white to green. "Guess whose son I am?"

Morrible opened her mouth then closed it. She greatly resembled a fish that Daphne had said she was.

Glinda stared at him in shock. Green skin? That meant that Elphie was alive! She probably would not be for long when Glinda saw her again but she was alive for now. She stood beside David. She was not going to let him have all the fun fighting Morrible. Morrible had harmed her daughter. She was going to kill this woman.

A flash of green light appeared behind Morrible. Elphaba was behind her. The old witch did not seem to notice. She seemed focused on something else at the moment.

Elphaba raised her hands. Glinda and David did the same thing. Magic poured out of their hands as they shot it at Morrible. The woman laid on the ground in a daze. David was about to jump on top of her, but Glinda beat him to it. The blonde was on top of the old witch- punching her repeatedly.

The green boy and woman stared at each other in shock. They were not expecting Glinda to be violent. David smiled. He took a step toward Elphaba. He paused when he heard the sound of a gun loading. He turned to the sound. His eyes widened.

A trance like look was on William's face. He took the gun and put a bullet in it. He took it and pointed it at his daughter.

David ran and jumped in front of Daphne as soon as it went off.
