Chapter 8.
The bell rang loudly throughout the school as a sign to let the students know that the day was over. Everyone got their books as Miss Patterson reminded the class to not forget about Friday's big geometry test and that they had to do a book report for History by next week; they all agreed couldn't wait to get out and enjoy the fresh air and sunlight that outside still had to offer.
"Henry! Henry!" Yelled out Emily as she ran up to him who was walking down with his backpack on. "Yes Emily, what is it?" He asked clearly not in the mood to be bothered right now. "I just wanna know if you are doing okay; you have not been yourself all day." Sighing, he then started to talk but was quickly interrupted by none other than Gordon who asked if he would like to come to the gym with him? mouthing the words, "I'll call you tonight," she got the message seeing both tall young men leaving. Just then, James came up making her have a glum face; no one knew bit truth was, he had a secret crush on her but she was too clueless to figure that part out; sighing a long sigh, she asked him what was wrong?
"I just wanted to know if you were able to speak to Henry yet?" He said seeing her shake her head. "No. And why are you even here?" James thought that this was the best time to ask her seeing that there was no-one but them. "Well, seeing that it's just the two of us, I was wondering if you have enough time for a study date?" He replied with a smug on his face. Emily looked at him with a blank expression; "Uh, no thank you James, I am much more comfortable studying myself; besides, I like the piece and quiet just to let you know that by now." "What? oh come on Emily just this once please?" "No!" And she walked away with her nose stuck up in the air. "She wants me but she doesn't know how to admit it." He thought with a smirk.
