The Last Kiss
Milo looked at two beds in the front of him and sighed with desperation. He shifted from one foot to the second one and turned his sight at Camus, who right now was unpacking his small luggage to the hotel's wardrobe. Then he almost cried with the pain and disappointment.
"But why two beds, Camus? Why?"
The Aquarius put the last thing from his luggage on the small table near the bed and took a surprised look at his, from not long time ago, lover Milo.
"Why are you asking? I though it is obvious for you," he answered, walking over the glass wall and opening the door to the huge balcony. The soft light of the afternoon's sun entered the room, falling at everything inside it. Camus turned around and looked at Milo, crossing his arms.
"But darling… why we can't sleep in one bed? We slept like that many times…" murmured plaintively the Scorpio.
"Yes, we did, but it was in the past when we were still only friends. Now… the situation is different."
"I think it is more proper when two lovers are sleeping in one bed that two friends doing the same, Camus…" Milo approached him and encircled his arms around his slim body. The Aquarius allowed him to do that; recently he found it really pleasurable to be hugged by his lover. He returned willingly the embrace.
"Milo, I would feel strange sleeping with you in one bed… It is too early for me. Sometimes your hands seem to be really lustful…"
The blue-haired man sighed, pressing his forehead against Camus' aquamarine fringe.
"You are thinking so low about me… I told you at the beginning, I won't touch you like that if you won't allow me to do so. It is natural to wait for the person who is not ready…"
"Yes, I know. I trust that you said the truth back then and you won't force me if I don't wanna… make love with you" Camus hesitated for a short time, but Milo seemed to not notice it. "But I think it should evolve step by step…" added the Aquarius. "I can kiss you, and I can touch you," he raised his hand and stroke gently Milo's cheek. "But sharing the bed with you as my lover is too much now…"
The Scorpio sighed and smiled.
"Then… Camus? May I kiss you now?" he asked, trying to by shy.
Camus smiled as well and nodded. Milo approached their lips really slowly and linked them together into the one delicate, fragile kiss. But after a while he gave up; he couldn't hold himself anymore. He slipped his tongue and licked quickly Camus' lower lips and then he entered his lover mouth seeking the other tongue, seeking the lustful dance. The Aquarius clenched his fist on his lover's curls, pressing their head against each other and sinking into the pleasurable feeling, giving by their deep and greedy kiss. Usually cold and cool-headed Saint couldn't resist from being really passionate while his kissing with Milo.
The Scorpio moaned, being aware that soon his lust would take over his whole body, making him to desire the body of his Camus more than right now. But he really loved to do that, leading his own desires and feelings to the limits, shivering under his lover's touch and just kissing him; holding in his embrace and kissing. He was always unmet after that, but the whole feeling was incredible.
From the Camus' side it looked similar. He could feel the lust spreading around his body, making his muscles to shiver and blinding his mind. And he liked these feelings too. But he wasn't ready to be touched by Milo in that way, to feel his hot hands everywhere, to do such an intimate thing. He still felt strange, knowing that Milo loved him, and loving him as well. It was different that with Claire. Claire should have been only a girl who liked him. He didn't love her, so it was easy for him to sink in her embrace. But with Milo…
Once their two greedy tongues linked together it passed a few minutes until their passionate kiss ended in the soft light of the afternoon.
"And tell me one more time, Camus, why you don't want to visit your hometown?" asked Milo, pressing his forehead against Camus' one, looking inside the dark blue eyes and stroking gently his lover's cheek.
Camus sighed impatiently.
"You are asking me about that already the third time, Milo. I don't believe that your memory is so awful," answered the Aquarius returning the warm look of his lover, tightening his hug around Milo's warm, muscular body.
"My memory is good. It was because we were kissing just after your answer, and it just disappeared from my mind," explained Milo, smiling widely. "Do you mind to repeat it one more time?"
Camus shook his head freeing Milo from his hug and entering the balcony. The Scorpio followed him there and looked at the big city in the front of their eyes.
"I don't have too many nice memories from that town, Milo. I don't wanna see all these buildings and streets I hated many years ago. Besides my hometown is boring, there are no attractions."
"We always can stay in hotel the whole days," Milo chuckled.
"Of course. I will be reading and you will be sleeping," murmured the Aquarius. "Let's go, I heard that the sunset is really spectacular on the beach. We haven't too much time."
"The sunset?"
"Don't you like the sunsets, Milo? I thought it is good idea to see one since today is really nice weather…"
"I don't mind the sunsets. I thought that you don't like it. But it was just my stupidity, right? In Siberia you can't see the warm sunsets, so I suppose you really want to see it…" murmured the Scorpio smiling to Camus. "Then let's go."
Milo left the balcony with the quick steps. Camus smiled and did the same, closing the glass door. He caught his bag and alongside with his lover he left the hotel.
"But…" started Milo after a long while. "Is there any particular reason, why we are in this town? You were really stubborn with coming here."
Camus looked at his companion, wondering if he could tell him the real reason, why there were here. As Milo's friend he should tell him, but as Milo's lover… No, not now, it was too early to reveal something like this.
"Actually there is one reason, why we came here. I just have to settle a few things in this town…" murmured Camus, looking at the darkening sky above them. "Besides if I remember correctly the Pope asked you to check something in your way to the Sanctuary, and this town is almost on the area you need to check."
Milo grimaced, sighing with the disbelief.
"What?" asked Camus, frowning a little.
"Camus, dear, why are you thinking about duties even now? We have really beautiful evening, the sunset is waiting for you, but even so, you are thinking about fulfilling the orders…"
This time it was Camus, who sighed.
"I'm not thinking about our duties. I just answered your question."
The Scorpio shook his head. In the situations like this he couldn't argue with his Camus, it was meaningless.
"Then, what business you have here?" asked Milo, taking Camus' hand and linking their fingers together.
The Aquarius twitched a little, looking around. He really wasn't the type of the man, who like to show his emotions to everyone, especially when that kind of love wasn't something common in this world. Someone could see them, and no one knew what would happen. But Milo's hand was really warm, warm in the way Camus really loved. So he allowed his lover to tighten the warm, long fingers around his cold hand, trying to ignore the people around them and every looks these people were sending them.
"It is nothing important, I can take care about that tomorrow," answered evasively Camus, wondering how he could handle the situation he was now in.
Milo murmured something under his nose. The Aquarius looked at his face and saw resentful expression. In the first moment it hurt him, but after a while Camus chuckled lightly. His Scorpio really was acting like a child.
"Why are you chuckling, Camus?" asked Milo, looking at his smiling lover.
"I really like your childish nature, Milo. Especially in this kind of situation," said Camus with the smile, but at the same time feeling really horrible. Actually he never intended to tell Milo the truth about his arrival to this town, and it was for him some kind of betrayal. "Whatever I want to do tomorrow here, it has no matter for me now, so what's the point of talking about that? Just have a nice evening, Milo. Without duties as a Saint, without some stupid business…"
The aquamarine-haired man smiled slightly to him, looked around them and his eyes met the bright blue of eyes he knew very well.
Claire was looking at him with wide opened eyes, where the surprise was mixed with disbelief. Camus stopped suddenly, letting Milo's hand go, and trying to make an impression that they weren't holding each other.
But… She saw it. She saw it for sure, Camus was certain. Her eyes were telling him it. Blue eyes full of the sense of betrayal, looking sadly at him.
"Shit," murmured Camus under his nose. He really didn't want to meet her now. And he really didn't expect to met her here, usually she never steped her foot in this corner of the city so late.
"What's wrong, dear?" asked Milo, looking questioningly at his beloved Camus.
She heard his "dear", and love in Milo's voice. Her eyes darkened.
Shit.
"Milo, keep going without me, I will catch you later. I think I have to settle my business now, after all," Camus said to the Scorpio with emotionless voice.
"Huh?" Milo frowned, and looked in the direction of Camus look. His eyes met the pretty girl with the face full of many emotions. "What…?"
"Go, Milo. I will catch you soon," Camus cut the talk.
The blue-haired man looked again at his lover, then at the girl and walked away with curious inside his eyes. Later he had to ask Camus about everything.
Camus didn't move until he was sure that Milo wasn't able to hear anything from upcoming talk with Claire. He knew that later Milo would do anything to hear everything, but for now Camus didn't care. But when Milo was far away he sighed heavily and walked over Claire, the girl that a few weeks ago made his life easier. He smiled lightly to her.
She didn't return the smile to him.
"So… It is that Milo you were talking about back then?" she asked sadly, taking a look behind her, at the disappearing back of Camus' lover.
The Aquarius nodded, stopping to smile to her.
"I was really naive, Camus…" started Claire again. "I believed that you disappeared just for a while to settle a few things. And I believed that you will come back to me." Her voice was almost empty. Camus felt quilt, looking at her emotionless face in some way really dear to him. "But it was really naive. You are back with… that Milo as your… partner…" These words were really hard to say for her, he could see that very well.
"I'm sorry, Claire…" murmured Camus. What else he could say to her?
She snorted really awfully.
"I bet you are… I never was humiliated as much as today. Why are you here anyway?"
Now her voice was filled with anger. Camus wasn't surprised; actually it was reasonable for human like her.
"I never intend to humiliate you, Claire. I'm here because I wanted to meet you. I wanted to talk with you one more time."
"And what do you want to say, huh? 'I'm sorry that I used you like a toy', or something like that?"
"You were… no, you are much more than a toy for me, Claire. Everything that happened between us wasn't planned. Me being here in the first place… I just was trying to escape from my own thoughts, my emotions and from my own self." Camus stretched his hand and touched her warm cheek. "And then you appeared, and said you love me. It was thing I never wanted to hear and I wanted to get away from it in the first place. These feelings I thought I'm not able to return…" He moved his hand to her soft hair. Claire's eyes mellowed under his touch and words he was saying now.
"Then why are you with him now, if you were trying to escape from these feeling, huh?" Her voice became sharp again.
Camus looked at the end of the street, where Milo disappeared some time ago.
"Because I was just stupid all my life," he answered. "I realized that he was dear to me since a long time, and Milo helped me to understand it. I love him, Claire."
She closed her eyes, hearing these words.
"But Claire… Don't be sad about that. You are dear to me too, but not as much as him. If I wouldn't be with him… I'm sure I would be with you."
Something like cry escaped form her mouth. Camus smiled widely, and hugged her strongly.
"Now forget about me. Find someone who will love you really strong," he said to Claire, and quickly kissed her lips. Then he let her go and walk away. "This is the last time we meet. You will never see me again."
Claire turned around and saw like Camus was disappearing in the approaching night. Then, she run away from there, with tears falling from her bright blue eyes.
Milo couldn't believe his eyes. The first thing he did, when Camus wasn't able to see him was turning away, and sneaking up closely to the talking pair. He was too curious, and he didn't want to miss that chance. He couldn't hear their words, but he could see clearly their expressions on their faces. He knew that these two were linked together in some way, but he didn't expect to see, what he saw…
His Camus was smiling to her; his eyes were full of sad. Firstly she look like she wanted to kill him, but after a while her face softened. And Camus hugged her. It surprised Milo a little, he never thought that Camus could hug a girl; in the Sanctuary he even rarely talk with the female Saints. But then… Just before he left her on thin street… He kissed her. Quickly, but he kissed her.
Why…?
