The Name of The Scorpio

"Good night, darling" were the words Camus heard just before the warm and soft lips touched his own in a delicate and subtle kiss. And then was only the darkness when he was falling asleep in his bed in the Aquarius Temple after another passionate evening in the embrace of his beloved Milo. He was so tired and so sore that he didn't realize when the reality became a sweet dream. His mind was so numb and slow; lying comfortable in the muscular arms was giving him the feeling of safety so he gave up to the tiredness and allowed himself to fall in the soft arms of Morpheus. If something would gonna happen then there was Milo, so everything was fine, they were safe in the Eleventh Sacred Temple of the Sanctuary, sleeping peacefully after love, holding each other in warm hugs. The terrible monsters from the shadows had no chance against them two; Hades was just like a spoiled brat, not to mention the King of the Seas. Right now they two, Milo of the Scorpio and Aquarius Camus were invincible; what was stronger than their pure and passionate love they shared? Was there, on this World protected by the Goddess Athena, anything that could stand a chance against two men, lying comfortable in the soft bed, with linked bodies in a gentle embrace? Was there anything in the Sanctuary that could break their paradise; paradise of two living men, sleeping without the fear? No, such a strong thing didn't exist back then; nothing was able to win against these two lovers, nothing was able to destroy their happiness. Camus knew that very well; he was sure nothing on this world could interrupt their small idyll. So he fell asleep in warm arms of his lover, still feeling the slight pain of his body after this sweet ecstasy Milo caused him.

And he was dreaming. His dream was really beautiful, there was Milo with his bright, blue eyes and wide smile, there was the Temple, probably his own, filled with a nice smell of the Siberia. He liked this dream, he was touched by the Scorpio in very gently way, the Greek was kissing him passionately, stroking his aquamarine hair and whispering softly the words in Camus' ear, the words that were making him to feel happy. Milo was telling him about his deep love, about his feeling, that he would never leave him, the cold man, who just started to learn how to love. He could hear the strong beating of their hearts, their breathing that filled the room. Yes, it was happy dream, full of Milo, full of his own feelings towards the Scorpio. Most of these feelings were actually new for the Aquarius, he never realized he could feel something like that. Yes, he trusted his companion, but he never realized how much. It wasn't the faith in a person, who could gladly protect your life, your body when the times would come. It was the trust in person who gladly would die for you, it was the trust in person you would gladly show your soul to. Camus trusted his lover and now he knew he would even give him his own soul, the access to the deepest parts of his mind. It was really unfamiliar to the Eleventh Guardian of the Holy Land; yes, he trusted his fellows on the battlefield, but this was something he gained while fighting alongside them. He would never trust them as much as he trusted Milo; the trust for the Scorpio was beyond their experiences in fight. He would never trust the other Saints much enough to tell them many things that right now only his lover knew.

But it wasn't only the trust. It was the love, the comprehension, acceptance, passion and many other emotions. He would never allow the other Gold Saints to treat him so lightly like Milo could do. Yes, he liked them, he could talk with them, but only Milo could feel comfortable in his presence. No one else. And Camus knew all these feelings, he could recognize them, but now in this dream he saw them in their all strength. He saw how strongly he felt them towards the Scorpio. Just in this dream.

He was so overwhelmed by all these sensations, that he didn't realize when the dream changed. Milo was still there in his Temple, lying with him in the bad, covered by Camus' favorite, red blanket and he was still hugging him. The Aquarius heard all the time the heart beating and the Scorpio's words. But the words were different, not filled with love, like moment ago, but they were empty, without any emotion. Just like the words of doll. And there was a lady; she appeared in the middle of Milo's sentence. She was so beautiful, that Camus couldn't make any move, mesmerized by her presence. Her long, golden hairs were waving gently in angelic glow. She stretched her slim hand in their direction and said "Come, my beautiful Scorpio" with a slight smile. And the Aquarius felt like his lover raised slowly, left the bed and walked over her with dazed smile. And this lady embraced the hypnotized Scorpio, looking triumphantly at surprised Camus. She winked flirtatiously in his direction and then darkness fell.

Aquarius Camus sat at his bed, yawning widely and stretching his numb body. He knew it was already late, he could feel it in his muscles. But today his body felt so comfortable in this bed so he didn't want to leave it. He wanted to sink there and lie for the whole day. Unfortunately, as a Gold Saint he had his duties and even if he would have anything to do, it would be shameful for him to stay in the bed till the night.

So Camus stood up from the soft bed, feeling the nice shivers of his body. It was the sweet memory of his dream. Wait, what about he was dreaming this night? He… He couldn't remember very well… There were bright eyes he never saw before. These eyes were really happy. So blue, like the sky above the Sanctuary. He had no idea why, but at the memory of these eyes he felt better. Why? Whose were these eyes? And why he was dreaming about them?

With a long sight he took a few steps and almost suddenly, he moaned loudly. He felt pain in the lower part of his body. For Athena's name, why he was feeling pain there?! He didn't have any fight lately, so why? Every step was painful, like something… like something penetrated him there. Ugh… And why he was thinking about these blue eyes, feeling this pain? He never met someone with these blue eyes, he didn't remember any wound in the lower part of his body. What was happening?

The Aquarius left his bedroom, wondering about this strange phenomenon, heading slowly to his toilet. He was really wise, but now, he couldn't understand what was happening. Did something happen at night? Maybe he hit something while dreaming? Or maybe… Or maybe DeathMask thought it would be funny to do something to him? The Fourth Guardian of the Sanctuary had sometimes stupid ideas. It could be his doing. But if it was true, then this time, Camus wouldn't let this failure as a Saint to go without any consequences.

Soon he was ready to his daily duties, full dressed in his favorite clothes that were light enough to wear them in this hot climate, deciding to go the Cancer Temple to settle everything with its owner.

The day was really beautiful. Camus could feel the nice breeze, touching gently his pale skin, the big, white clouds were drifting on the sky, time to time covering the burning sun and giving the sweated Saints some shadows and a break from the heat. Yes, it was late; the Aquarius could tell it was almost midday. The sounds of the Sanctuary were reaching his ears with their usual strength; students were training intensely, having hopes that someday they would wear one of Athena's Clothes. He could even hear a happy singing, coming out of the Twelfth Temple, standing above his own. It seemed that his neighbor had a nice day too.

The aquamarine haired Saint stretched again his muscular body, looking at the sky in the color of these eyes from his dream, thinking that it would be nice to visit the Scorpio Temple in his way and stay there for a while.

He took a few steps down the stairs when he stopped suddenly.

The Scorpio Temple?

Exactly what for he wanted to go to the Scorpio Temple? It was deserted already for many years. Actually centuries. He couldn't remember any records about the Scorpio Saints that were wearing this Gold Cloth after the Holy war two hundreds years ago. The last one, worth enough of having it, was the proud warrior, Kardia. Even in this Holy War there was no one able to own the Scorpio Gold Cloth. The shining armor was standing in the Eight Temple, at the monument in the main hall, waiting for the proper person.

So… Why he wanted to go to this abandoned Temple that was always spreading around the expression of loneliness? He didn't have any business there. He actually didn't like this place, full of sadness and emptiness.

And… Why he was seeing these blue eyes again? Why? What did it mean?

"Camus!" he heard in the middle of his thoughts. He turned around and saw his most reliable companion here, Mu of the Aries, coming out of the shadows of the Eleventh Temple. "Good morning, Camus," the Tibetan greeted him.

"Good morning," answered Camus smiling warmly. The Aries Saint was the only one, Camus liked the most. The lavender haired man was always spreading around the aura of faith and trust, he was reliable Saint and Camus was ready to count on him in any dangerous situations.

"Finally awake?" Mu smiled. "I was passing through your Temple hour ago, but you seemed to be sleeping really deeply. For a while I was wondering if everything is right with you, you never had so deep sleep."

"Really? Maybe I was tired…" murmured Camus, thinking about it. It was true, he never had deep sleep. Never deep enough to not feel his companions passing through his Temple.

"Something wrong? You have a little confused face, Camus."

Camus shook his head.

"Actually… I have no idea… Right now I was heading to the Scorpio Temple and I don't know what for…"

"Oh, that's strange…" said Mu, looking shortly at the Eight Temple that today was spreading its sad aura stronger than ever.

"Yeah, I don't get it to…"

For a while they were standing in the front of the Aquarius Temple in silence.

"Oh, anyway," started Mu after a few seconds. "Athena is in the Sanctuary and she wants to see you, Camus."

"Huh? Me? Why?"

"I have no idea. But if she left the Olympus just to see one of Her Saints, it means it is something important."

"Then I shouldn't keep her wait for too long. Thanks, Mu," Camus turned around and hurried to the Pope Temple, when Lady Athena usually was meeting with her Warriors.

Few minutes later he entered the majestic Temple, still wondering, why Athena wanted to meet just him. Since they were resurrected by God Zeus, she left the Olympus just once, soon after their revival to greet them in their new lives. And this happened many months ago.

He knocked loudly, standing in the front of big, wooden and golden doors of the Audience Chamber, where the Pope of the Sanctuary had his throne and where the Gold Saints were gathering once per week to give their reports about their missions, duties and other, less important problems of the Holy Land. He entered after hearing the approval of the Pope, being curious, curious so much, that he couldn't handle it. This day was so mysterious.

"Oh, Camus!" he heard the worried voice of a girl that stood up from the throne and walked over him. For a while he didn't recognize her. She was emanating the power of a real Goddess, her grandeur was overwhelming and Camus couldn't find in the majestic, divine being in the front of him this young and spoiled brat Athena was before the Holy War. "What a relief…"

Camus couldn't even manage to kneel before Her, when she approached him and placed her slim hands on his shoulders.

"I'm glad you are right…" she whispered with a smile.

The Aquarius Camus still couldn't understand why she was acting like that. She seemed to be really relieved; he could see her face relaxing after the fear.

He only bowed before Athena.

"Yes, I'm all right, Lady Athena. But there was no reason to be so afraid about me…' he whispered quietly.

"Oh, no, there was a reason," she answered. "This night I felt strange and monstrous cosmo in the Sanctuary, and I have no doubts it was coming from your Temple, Camus. It was the same cosmo I felt in Brazil few days ago. And I was afraid that maybe something happened to you."

Camus blinked a few times. Brazil… Yes, the Pope said a few days ago, Lady Athena and some Saint felt strong cosmo there. And there was Saint sent there, to check this phenomenon. Who was that? He was sure Aldebaran went there three days ago. He was Brazilian, right…? But why his memory was so blurry? It was almost painful to think about this case… What happened in Brazil…? Oh, yes, some man was missing, and everyone except one person believed he never existed…

And again these blue eyes…

But more important… Why he didn't feel that strange cosmo, since it was coming out of his Temple? If there would be something strong enough for Athena to feel it in the Olympus, then why he couldn't feel it? And what about other Gold Saints? What about the Pope? They had to be someone in the Sanctuary, able to feel it, right?

For a while, for a single second he saw tall silhouette, surrounded by golden hair. A lady…?

"Something wrong, Camus?" Athena asked with worry in her voice.

He woke up from his thoughts.

"No, everything is right. Thank you for your concern, Lady Athena," he answered, feeling a little confused. "I think my mind is a little tired…" he added hesitantly.

Lady Athena smiled weakly.

"But if there was someone in my Temple, then why any of the Gold Saint didn't feel it?" he murmured mostly to himself.

"Because I think it is doing of one of my family, Camus," girl answered. "Maybe one of my brothers or sisters is playing in game with me... Or maybe they wanted to lure me out of the Olympus. Anyway, I will stay here for a while, to see if anything like that will happen again."

Camus looked in her determined eyes. He felt safer, looking inside these divine eyes. They were so innocent… Like these eyes… These blue eyes he was dreaming about…

He shook his head slightly.

What was happening?

It was actually early, when Camus decided to go to his bed finally. He was tired after this strange day, so when the last sunbeams disappeared behind the horizon, he was heading to his bedroom, with hopes that the next morning would be better.

He still couldn't explain what was happening to him. After he met with Lady Athena, he – just like planned – went down the hills to the Fourth Sacred Building to talk with DeathMask. And when he was passing through the Scorpio Temple for a long while his mind was expecting the warm and loud greeting coming from the owner of this building. It had to pass a few long minutes before he realized that no one would show himself; after all there was no Scorpio Saint, who could live there.

And of course, the blue eyes; so familiar and so unknown at the same time; cheerful eyes in the color of the sky.

And this case in Brazil. The case that Taurus Aldebaran took care of about a few days ago. Camus could clearly remember what happened in the South America, his companion told him everything already but at the same time he was sure it wasn't the voice of the Second Guardian. It was the voice he never heard in the real live, no one connected with Sanctuary. But how it could happen? Past week he didn't met and didn't talk with anyone new here. And why he didn't remember Aldebaran leaving the Holy Land?

"Ugh, I think I'm a little tired" he murmured to himself, lying on the pillows and covering himself in his red blanket.

He leaned his head at the soft pillow thinking about these strange, blue eyes and…

He could see them, he was dreaming about them again. Two bright irises, tanned eyelids and long, black lashes.

The bright, blue eyes he used to know somehow, eyes he saw the last night for the first time.

The bright, blue eyes of hope and always full of life.

The deep, clear blue of them, reminding him summer sky above the Sanctuary.

Always happy eyes, making him happy, making him to feel safe.

And this smile, wide, warm smile for him.

Warm lips touching his own, making him to shiver.

And soft voice, calling him in the darkness, calling his name with cheerful tone.

The name…

The name he forgot…

The name of Scorpio…

Milo.
