DUUUUDES It felt like this chapter was super long but, it sadly wasn't as long as I expected. :( Oh well *Shrugs* Hope you enjoy!
I inhale deeply and feel it flow into my lungs I feel my power emit out of me at the same time as I exhale, a tingling starts in my hands as they start to glow lightly but I push hard mentally and physically until my powers are at full and keep pushing until I could mentally see the skin start to stitch back together. I hear the soft gasp of Jason's voice breathing out, "Holy shit…" My eyes flutter open and the black energy fades back into my body. I check Jason's chest and see the injury is completely gone except a small line of a scar. Relief spreads through me and I smile lightly.
"I want to question you but, I think we need to get out of here." Jason says as he starts to move towards his bike I move to follow but I realize that my whole body is in a state of energizing numb and I am completely shaky. I push it off and quickly try to follow Jason as fast as I can. When we round the alleyway with his bike we swiftly hop on and zoom off towards are destination. I start to slow when we are at least a couple miles away from the scene and start to drive the regular speed.
I glance over my shoulder to check on Jason who is slightly out of it but fortunately still holding up strong. I turn back and turn into the parking lot and pull into a spot that is in the shadows because this is still 'Red-X's bike.' I dismount from the bike and start towards my apartment after a couple steps I look back and notice Jason still on the bike looking of into space. I look at him expectantly and ask, " You coming?" He quickly gets off and follows after me when he catches up he looks at me quizzically, I just brush it off and move to open up my door and walk in. Once were inside I plop down on my bed and look at him I think through my options but then I just feel exhaustion start dragging me down like a weight and just decided, screw everything I'm going to sleep before I deal with all this crap.
"Jason I know you want answers and shit but, we are both exhausted can we just handle this in the morning?"
"Uh.. Yeah I can just come back later." He replies then turns and starts for the door.
"I didn't say leave. Get back here." I say exasperated
He turns and looks at me funny I look down awkwardly for a moment. "Where do you want me to sleep then?"
Instead of responding I nod my head towards the spot next to me. He slowly makes his way over and sits on the bed he starts to remove his shoes. I look down at my attire and decide it would be best to change into something else I stand and move towards my closet I pull out a tank top and shorts and call out behind me, "Don't turn around and look."
"But Rachel what if I want a peep." He whines
"Don't Jason. Or else you'll find you have more injuries then just three broken bones." I say threateningly, before stripping off my shirt and pants and changing into the items I picked out. I turn and see Jason completely bare except a pair of black boxers that hang precariously around his hips. My cheeks start to heat up and Jason smirks and flirtatiously says, "Like what you see?" I pop out of my stupor fast enough to deadpan, "No." to his question, he pouts playfully at me before getting under the covers I walk over towards the lights about to switch them off before a thought suddenly occurs to me.
"I don't want to do anything but sleep." I say uncomfortably hoping he catches what I'm saying.
"I won't make you do anything you don't want to sunshine." He says softly.
"Thank you."
I turn off the lights and get into bed. And situate myself so right at the edge of the bed close to falling off. I sat there for a moment embarrassingly trying to get comfortable but failing miserable. I hear some rustling from behind me and a soft sigh then Jason's arm snakes it's way around me and starts dragging me towards his chest I squirm and turn around in his embrace and squeak out, "Jason?" He looks down at me and locks his eyes with mine and stares for a moment before he closes his eyes and pulls me closer he winces slightly before relaxing I watch him for a bit more before drifting off to sleep.
