Setsuna was walking in silent for a while with the Megumi. After they got out of the woods, she tried to stop her thoughts as she was losing her mind.

" Say…Have you seen Emi-chan today? I have been looking for her since morning. " the veiled princess asked as she kept looking forward.

" No…I didn't see her either. " the bodyguard lied turning her head away nervously.

" But…is there a problem? Did you two have a fight again? " the raven girl asked.

' Emiko overreacted when I asked her… '

She turned to look at her as she heard no respond. She then saw the princess' face turning in different shades of red color. From the light one to the dark one.

' Eh? Why is she also blushing? I really wanna know what happened now! ' Setsuna thought when she saw the blond girl stopped.

" Oh, pardon me Princess Megumi, I'm being too indiscreet. I've been asking so many questions, but you don't have to answer that. "

" T-thank you… " Megumi said quietly.

She kept staring at her feet, not daring to move an inch. It seemed that she was lost in her thoughts. As the swordwoman felt bad for making her feel embarrassed, she walked closer to her and put her right and on her left shoulder.

" I'm really sorry, I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. Forget my question… " she tried to think about something else to change the topic.

" Um…So, what place in Mahora do you prefer? I heard you love to walk around in a new city. " Setsuna smiled softly.

Her (other) question made Megumi to raise her head, and look into her eyes.

Setsuna blushed immediately at the eye-contact. She was looking with such…

' Such innocent eyes… '

" How do you know? Emi-chan is the only one who knows about this habit of mine. " the blond princess asked.

' The sound of her voice…it's so childish but at the same time so warm… '

Setsuna backed away a little and took her hand off ofher shoulder.

" Y-yes, Emiko told me so… "

Setsuna saw the face in front of her blush in a content, as the lips drew a cute smile.

' Cute? Why do I find it cute? Damn, why I am blushing and so confused? ' the samurai girl shook her head.

" So Emi-chan talks about me…hehe… " Megumi giggled in her smile.

But she stopped when she noticed the girl in front of her staring deeply at her.

' She's…she's so cute! Wait! Setsuna, get a hold of yourself! ' the samurai girl slapped her head with her hands.

Megumi tilted her head. She didn't know what was wrong with her friend.

" Is there something on my face? "

' Ah! This intonation and this expression…it reminds me of someone… '

Megumi sweat-dropped when she saw the raven girl squeezing her head with her hands and shook it savagely.

" Um…Setsuna-san? "

Secchan?

The bodyguard stopped suddenly her ridiculous gestures.

' Huh? '

She turned her head to look back at the princess who smiled with embarrassed.

' Kono-chan…Kono-chan used to look at me like this when I freaked out… '

She looked deeper in the green eyes.

' There's something… '

Her heart beat faster. Megumi then smiled softly as she saw her friend regain her reason.

' It's green but… '

Her head suddenly mixed up the view, and she saw a shadow of the face of the one she loves the most behind the princess of Cloud's.

' Ah… '

" Kono-chan… " the dark-hair girl whispered without thinking, with a trail of blush on her cheeks.

Megumi stayed quiet for a moment. She was having difficulties to understand what was wrong with Setsuna, but after she said this name, she eventually understood.

" So it's the same for you? " the blond girl said with a small smile.

This question drew back the half-demon to reality.

" What…do you mean? " she asked with nervous. She was totally lost in her feelings.

" Well…I feel the same when I see you…your eyes really make me think of Emi-chan, so I get confused everytime when I look at you. "

Setsuna's jaw dropped.

'…The eyes! '

" But now that I know the reason I feel this way beside you, I don't get confused with my feelings! " the princess smiled lovely at her.

' What is it about the eyes…what is she talking about? ' Setsuna was again losing her mind.

" It's alright for now…You will understand later. " Megumi said as she started to walk.

" Don't worry, you're not feeling something for me. It just means that your love for her is strong. " she continued as she walked further away.

And she stopped since her friend wouldn't move. She turned back at her.

" Come on Setsuna-san, let's go! " she smiled fondly as she waved at the raven girl behind her.

" Come on Secchan, let's go! "

" Ah! Ojou-sama! Please wait! " the raven girl ran towards her princess.

" We have to be quick, the sun will set in few minutes! " Konoka shouted at her childhood friend.

" Why? Is something going to happen? Please stay near me, we're in the middle of a forest, and it's getting dark, you might trip and get hurt. " the bodyguard said as she caught up with her defended.

Konoka smiled at her words, and approached the girl.

" Is that near enough for you? " she grabbed the swordwoman's hand.

Setsuna's eyes widened at the contact, and looked down to see what it was.

" E-ehhh! O-o-o-o-ojo-u- " she tried to pull her body away but her hand seemed to not want to.

The chocolate-hair girl put her finger against the crazy bodyguard's mouth.

" Do you know what today is? " the princess asked softly, looking right into the dark eyes.

Setsuna's blushing head shook to answer no as she was too frozen by the closeness to speak.

" It's Valentine's day. So please at least for today, stop calling me with this stupid title and, call me like I've always wanted to be called by you… " the princess brought her face closer to the other girl's in order to make her words would be understood.

She retrieved her hand so she could talk.

" Okay…K-kono…chan… " the raven girl said her name in a different tone that she used when she called her by the title.

She couldn't use the same intonation, because everytime she said this name, it was from the bottom of her heart. And deep inside she knew…how treasured was that girl.

" Hm! That's better! " Konoka smiled fondly before walking her further in the woods.

After twenty minutes, when the sun sent his last rays of the day, they finally reached a lake with many water lilies.

Konoka let go of Setsuna's hand to walk away.

' Ah… ' the knight looked at her.

' Why did you let go? I didn't want you to… ' she closed her eyes to sweep away the pain in her chest.

" Secchan! Can you help me please? "

The bodyguard shook her head and went to help.

" Can I ask my dear knight to help me put that bark on water? Since I can't by myself. " Konoka giggled as she tried to push the small boat.

" Of course Ojou-um Kono-chan! Please step aside, I'll do it right away. "

As 'right away' as she ended her sentence, before Konoka could say a word or open her eyes, the latter felt the weight she was pushing vanish and fell on the ground. When she opened her eyes, she saw her dear childhood friend carried easily the bark on her shoulder to drop it on the shore.

" Why are you spacing out Kono-chan? Come here, I suppose you want us to ride it? " Setsuna smiled back at her.

The princess blushed at the view.

It was night now, the stars started to glow in the sky, the first moonlights were reflected on the river, and in the middle, stood someone Konoka thought was a goddess.

And she was standing in front of her, offering her hand to join her.

' This smile…and those eyes… ' Konoka tried to move but she couldn't.

Setsuna's eyes softened.

' You look so mysterious…so…unreachable… ' the princess held her breathe at the view.

' You are so beautiful… ' she thought as she saw the mystical face approaching hers.

" Ah! " she exclaimed by surprise and blushed harder.

" Did you hurt yourself? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have let you try to move it in the first place. " the bodyguard lifted her in a bridal style, and walked back to the shore.

She dropped her in the small boat, and took her seat. The raven girl started to navigate deep in the lake.

After a moment, when they reached the spot Konoka pointed, Setsuna stopped and looked around her.

" Why did you want us to come here Kono-chan? "

" Just wait a little more. " Konoka smiled as she looked around too.

Out of nowhere, the knight glimpsed at a small light. And suddenly, thousands of small lights shone above the river, and all around the couple.

" It's…beautiful… " Setsuna whispered. She didn't expect to witness such wonderful scene. And thousands of fireflies.

" Hm!...I wanted you to see this, because the first time I did, all I could think about was wishing you were here with me. "

Setsuna blushed at her words. She felt as if her words or maybe the fireflies, were warming her heart up.

" Today is a special day…it makes you want to spend it with someone that you love…and… " the chocolate-hair girl starting to blush.

" …the first person who came to my mind was you. "

Setsuna felt a stroke in her heart. But not the hurting stroke. Not the one she felt everytime she knew her princess had to go on an omiai, or the one she felt when Konoka was looking at a guy, or the one she felt when she let go of her hand…This stroke, was burning her heart with hopes, but along with some fears.

The raven girl was speechless. She didn't know how she was feeling right now, if she has to make a move or say something.

' But what? I…I…. '

" Oh! Secchan! Don't move! " Konoka exclaimed and took her out of her thoughts.

The bodyguard stood stiil when she saw her nose lightening up.

" Huh? Why is my nose shining?! "

The princess giggled as she came closer to her bestfriend. She put her hands around the firefly resting on her knight's nose.

" Silly Secchan...it's a firefly...It's so beautiful… " Konoka said softly.

The firefly's light also illuminated the brown-hair girl's face in the middle of the dark. Setsuna felt her heart melted when she saw her face. She was looking with such adorable expression.

' You have such…innocent eyes Kono-chan… ' she blushed slightly.

The firefly flew away in a sudden, leaving the couple alone.

" Ah!...It's gone… " Konoka whispered as her eyes followed it.

" Beautiful… " the princess' eyes turned to the voice direction.

" The one who is beautiful, it's you. " Setsuna said without any stuttering, any blush.

' I can't hold back…right now I feel like I should not…I have to… '

The hands still raised in front of the half-demon's nose found its way to rest on the cheeks.

' I can… '

Konoka slowly brought her face closer to the one who told her she was beautiful.

' I want to… '

Setsuna's hand were clenching the small boat. She tried to remove them to hold her princess' waist, but she couldn't. Nervousness was holding her back.

' I…think I… '

The knight felt her princess' hot breathe brushing her lips.

' I'm too weak to resist. '

And it shook her from head to toes, so much, that she clenched the bark hard…

' Since forever… '

Just few centimers away, both eyes closed and…

The hands shuddered so hard...

That she broke the small boat.

" Fuuwaah! K-kono-chan! Are you alright?! " Setsuna took her head out from water.

The bodyguard felt an arm wrapping hers.

" Se-secchan… "

The dark-hair girl reached for the piece of the small boat next to her to get a support.

" How could the boat break? " the princess asked loudly as she tightened her grip on her knight's arm.

The latter sweat-dropped.

' I should be damn. Ah, but I'm already cursed... ' the swordwoman sighed in anger.

" Hold on for a second please… " Setsuna told her as she tried to cool her mind.

The lake kept glowing with the fireflies. The couple was under the water, floating like two mermaids.

Two mermaids in love.

' What if I hadn't broken the boat…then… ' the bodyguard scolded herself in her head to hide her anger, and some disappointment with it.

" Atishoo! "

She lifted her head to watch her princess sneezed.

" We should hurry to go home before you catch a cold. " Setsuna said and in a magic instant, she took out her white wings out of the water.

Konoka watched her in disbelief.

' Wahh…she's so wonderful- ' her thoughts were cut when she felt pulled upward to embrace this wonder.

For a minute, her mind stopped. The princess was more than amazed by the scene. Sure, she wanted to come here because it was a breathtaking place at night but, she didn't expect to live such…magical moment.

She just couldn't believe being held by an angel on a shining lake full of waterlilies plus the fireflies glowing like candles. Yes…

' It feels like taking a romantic bath with an angel… ' the princess continued her thoughts as she stared at the angel who was looking at her.

The latter felt her defended's body shivered, and decided to hug her closer to warm her as much as she could.

" Ne…Secchan…Thank you. "

" No need to thank me Ojou-sama, I always will make sure that you will be safe. So catch a cold is out of the question. " Setsuna smiled at her tenderly and took her flight.

" You will never stop calling me that way, won't you? " Konoka made her pouting face.

" A-ah…sorry Kono-chan… "

" When I said thank you, I meant…thank you for today…for being my…valentine. " the princess snuggled her face in her angel's chest so she could hide her mad blush.

" Kono-chan? " the raven girl called her in order to make her look at her.

She was watching the full moon in front of her.

" Yes? " the brown-hair girl looked at her to meet her best-friend's gaze.

' She has…such innocent eyes…as if every word she speaks is coming from her heart… ' Setsuna blushed deepened.

' Her eyes are so…deep, and mysterious…as if it was holding back all the words she'd want to say… ' Konoka felt herself losing in reading her feelings.

But she was stopped suddenly.

Setsuna dropped a soft kiss on her forehead.

" No need to thank me for that either. I will always…be yours. "

" Setsuna-san? Are you coming? " Megumi's voice drew her back from her memories.

" I-I'm coming! " and she walked towards her.

' That's right…She can't be a part of those devilish people, of this evil plan… '

" Shall we go? " Setsuna smiled at the princess who nodded with her green eyes.

' She is just so innocent like you, Kono-chan. '
