Oh my gosh everyone I'm so so so sorry for not updating in so long! My life got busy with school, family, and a bunch of other things. To make it up to you I'm going to try and finish the story by today and have it all up. Thanks for all the reviews, favorites, and alerts. :)
Chapter 34
Kai's point of view
After I forgave Embry we made plans about how we were going to do this. He'll come down as often as he can and during holidays I'll come back home. Embry officially met Sasha and although she was reluctant, she soon warmed up to him.
College is great! It's only October and I've been here for two months, but it's still great. Sasha and I have grown really close and are like sisters now. I met her friends and they're all nice and super fun to hang around. Today's my seventeenth birthday and Sasha is taking me out for dinner and a night in town. The girls are tagging along as well, we're meeting them at the restaurant. Embry can't come down because he's busy. I miss him, though I just saw him two weeks ago.
"You can take a shower now." Sasha announces coming out of the bathroom. I nod my head and head into the bathroom.
After my shower I change into a dark blue dress and dark blue pumps. The dress has a sweetheart neckline, and a sequined top. Since Sasha wants to own a beauty salon she did my hair and makeup. My hair's curled and pinned in the back. My makeup is dark blue to match my outfit. Sasha is wearing a hot pink and dark orange one shoulder crepe dress and brown heeled boots. She curled her straight hair and put on some makeup to match her dress. She looks beautiful!
"Alright chica we're ready to go." Sasha smiles. Did I mention she's part Spanish?
"Thanks Sash." I smile."We look great!" she nods in agreement.
"Well of course we do!" she grins grabbing her purse. "Lets get going." she says and I nod following her out the dorm room.
When we arrive at the restaurant a hostess leads us to the back of the building. We reach the party room and I raise an eyebrow. There's only seven of us, not enough to fill a room. I look at Sasha and she's grinning at the door. I turn my gaze to the door as the hostess opens it. I gasp when I see six familiar people. Embry, Emma, dad, Leah, Seth, and Brady!
"Embry!" I yell and rush over to him. He pulls me into his arms and kisses me. I wrap my arms around his neck and he holds me as close as possible.
"Alright that's enough. I need to see my sister!" Emma yells getting in between Embry and I. He lets go and I hug my sister.
"Oh it's so good to see you Emma." I smile.
"You too sis." she says going back over to Brady.
"Happy birthday baby girl." dad says and I smile hugging him.
"Thanks daddy. It's good to see you." I say.
"Yes it is." he agrees. I hug my cousins and they hug back tightly.
"We missed you." Seth says.
"Ya with you gone Embry's always whining about missing you." Leah says and I laugh. I hug Brady and then go back over to my wolf.
"Surprised?" Sasha asks and I smile at her.
"Thank you for doing this Sash." I thank her.
"No problem. Embry actually called me and asked me to set it up." she says and I smile up at my soul mate. I kiss him lightly and he keeps me close. "Alright lets party!" Sasha yells and I laugh.
Dinner was fun and they're all staying for the weekend! Everyone went to the hotel they're staying at but Embry, I sleep easier when he's with me. Sasha decided to give us some time alone so she's staying with Taylor and Maddy, some of our friends.
I get ready for bed and then scoot in next to Embry. He wraps his big strong arms around me and holds me close. I sigh in content and cuddle up to Embry.
"I'm so happy you're here Em." I say sleepily.
"I am too Kai. I'm always happy when you're with me." he says kissing my head.
"Agreed." I say closing my eyes.
"Go to sleep angel. I'll be here when you wake up and we can spend the whole day together." he whispers.
"Sounds great." I yawn.
"I love you." he says kissing me lightly.
"I love you too." I agree and soon fall into a deep sleep. When he's here everything's perfect.
~time skip~
My birthday was a month ago and I'm now on an airplane that's flying over Seattle. I'm coming home for Thanksgiving. I'm staying for a few days and then heading back to Alabama. Everyone's so excited to see me, well that's what Emma and Embry say. I look out the window and find the plane landing.
After getting off the plane I make my way to baggage claim where Embry is going to meet me. I find him as soon as I turn the corner. It's kinda easy to spot a six foot native guy in a crowd of short pale skinned people.
"Embry!" I smile and his head snaps in my direction. He smiles and runs to me picking me up in his arms. He twirls me around and kisses me.
"I'm so happy to see you." he breathes putting me down.
"I am too." I smile.
"Lets get our bags, everyone can't wait to see you." he says taking my hand and leading me to baggage claim.
"Well I can't wait to see them." I really can't wait to see them! I've missed everyone so much!
After two hours of driving Embry and I arrive in La Push. Seeing familiar places is comforting. In Alabama I have no clue where I'm going so I always have to ask Sasha. But here, my home, I know exactly where everything is. We pass the road to my house and I turn to Embry.
"We're heading to Emily's." he explains.
"Hmm let me guess there's going to be a welcoming home party for me?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"Wow college has made you so much smarter." he says and I gasp punching his arm which hurts me more than him.
"Jerk." I frown and he chuckles.
"I'm just kidding angel. You're very smart, especially for your age." he says.
"That's more like it." I smile as we pull up to Em's house. You know I just realized I call three people Em; Emma, Embry, and Emily. Weird... Oh well!
As soon as I get out of the truck I'm tackled in bear hugs from the pack.
"We missed you!"
"Embry hasn't shut up about missing you." that I know is Paul.
"Finally you're back! It's been boring without you!"
"Why'd you have to be so smart and leave us?"
"Hey she's my sister, let me in!" I hear Emma yell. She pushes her way through the pack as Jared releases me from a bear hug. I smile at my sister and hug her.
"Hey sis." I say.
"Finally you're home." she breathes and I smile hugging her tighter.
"Ya I am home." I breathe.
After all the welcome backs everyone heads inside. They all ask about school and how I'm enjoying it. I answer all their questions and give everyone their gifts. Ya I bought everyone something from Alabama. Nothing too big or special, just things I thought they might like. It's a good thing I brought extras. I knew there were new members but I didn't know that there were ten!
"Thanks Kai." Brady says and everyone expresses their thanks. I realize that Jake's not here.
"Where's Jake?" I ask.
"Right here!" he yells entering the house with a familiar girl attached to his hip. My eyes widen at her size. She was so little when I left and now she's huge!
"Nessie?" I ask shocked.
"Aunty Kai!" she smiles and runs to me jumping into my lap.
"I missed you." she says and I smile.
"I missed you too." I say. She places her hand on my cheek and shows me everything I've missed.
"Wow." I say after a few minutes. I look over to Embry and smile sadly at him. In Nessie's thoughts she showed me Embry missing me. I feel bad for putting him through this.
"Here Nessie I brought you something. You too Jake." I say snapping out of my thoughts. I hand them both their gifts.
"Cool!" she smiles opening the box which contains a shell necklace I bought when Sasha, the girls, and I went to the beach."Thank you." she says hugging me.
"You're welcome." I say hugging back.
"Ya, thanks Kai." Jake says smiling at his gift.
"Well we should get home, Kai must be tired." dad says standing up. I yawn and nod at my father. We'll be back tomorrow for Thanksgiving, Emily's invited everyone over for Thanksgiving lunch. We say all our goodbyes and then head back to dads.
My room is just as I left it, except for the piles of dust.
"You couldn't spare a few minutes and dust my room?" I ask Emma and she smiles sheepishly.
"I was busy." she says.
"Kissing Brady." I smirk.
"NO!" she quickly defends as her cheeks redden.
"Liar." I smile.
"Shut up." she groans leaving.
"Here's your bags sweetheart." dad says as he and Embry enter my room.
"Thanks daddy." I say kissing his cheek.
"I hate to leave but I just got a call and need to leave." he says and I frown.
"I understand, be safe." I say kissing his cheek again.
"Always am." he says and heads out of my room. I sigh and lay on my bed. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I feel warm breath caress my face and open my eyes to find Embry hovering over me.
"Well hello there." I smile and he grins. He rubs his nose against mine and kisses it.
"What's wrong?" he asks.
"I just wish dad didn't have such a demanding job. I want to spend some quality time with him. He can't always come down to Alabama when ever he's off work like you can." I explain. He nods his head in thought.
"You'll have plenty of time with him, I promise. He tried to clear out his schedule so he could spend it with you this week." he says and I raise my eyebrow.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yep." he says.
"That's so sweet of him." I say.
"Well you are his oldest daughter that goes to college states away." he says.
"True." I say and sigh.
"While he's gone though you have me and Emma to keep you company." he says.
"I know a few ways you could do that." I smirk as his eyes darken and lips smash onto mine.
~next day~
I've always enjoyed Thanksgiving. All of our family coming together to celebrate, and of course eating yummy food! In Colorado mom's family would come to our house and stay the week with us. It was fun and I got to see my aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Mom has a small family consisting of her parents, sister, brother, and her four nieces and nephews. Her grandparents, my great grandparents, died before I was born. Though mom would tell us stories about them when Emma and I were little. Anyway now that I'm in La Push I have a bigger family. Though dad's family is smaller than mom's, we have the pack as our family and I love them as my real family.
Embry left a little bit ago to get ready, he'll meet us at Emily's. I took a shower and then got dressed. I slipped on a gray knit sweater dress, black leggings, and gray flats. I also put on some earrings, my promise ring, two heart gem rings, and an angel wings necklace.
"Kai ready to go?" Emma asks entering my room. She's wearing a dark red lace dress and ankle boots.
"Dressing up for someone?" I smirk as she blushes. "You look great Em." I smile as does she.
"Thanks sis, so do you." she says.
"Thanks and ya I'm ready to go." I answer and she nods. I follow her downstairs and find dad at the table trying to be patient while waiting for us.
"Finally." he mumbles while Em and I chuckle while rolling our eyes. We head outside and get in dad's truck.
When we arrives at Emily's almost everyone is there. All the older girls, like Emily, Rachel, and Sue, are in the kitchen while the guys are waiting for the Thanksgiving football game to start.
"What can I do to help?" I ask entering the kitchen.
"Nothing dear, you go and visit with everyone." Sue smiles at me.
"But..." I start.
"Nope it's your vacation and you're going to relax." Rachel scolds and I frown.
"Fine." I huff and head to the living room. A warm hand grabs mine and pulls me into the guest room.
"You look beautiful." Embry whispers in my ear holding me against his chest. I smile at his compliment.
"Thank you." I say turning around to meet his gaze which is focused only on me. "You cleaned up nicely. But I think I would rather you be shirtless." I smirk as does he.
"That can be arranged." he lowers his lips to my neck.
"Mmm." I purr.
"There are kids here!" Paul yells from the other room and I blush. I really hope my dad didn't hear that.
"Stop eavesdropping!" Embry and I yell back. I hear his and some other pack members laughter fill the air. Embry caresses my scarlet cheeks and I smile up at him. He leans down and places a soft and sweet kiss on my lips.
"You want to know what I'm thankful for?" Embry asks when he pulls away.
"What?" I ask softly.
"You." he says and my heart flutters.
"I'm thankful for you too Embry." I agree and he smiles kissing me again.
