Chapter 16:

Russ went on the first ride and slipped out of the seat at the right moment. He helped Dante and Thalia out of their seats as well. They were the only three who managed to get on the first ride.

Thalia sighed and attempted to dry herself off. "Why couldn't we have just snuck in after the ride closed?"

"That would have been too easy for Russ." Dante mumbled a slight pout on his lips. He was stuck with a girl and a pervert for the next couple minutes.

"Stop sulking, I'm not that bad you know." Russ said as he kneeled next to a bunny and started doing something.

Dante looked out for another log boat, purposely ignoring the other two with him. Once all the others arrived they all waited for Russ to finish whatever it was he was doing.

"So where exactly are we going? Is this like some cool god world?" Cole asked eagerly.

A small wooden door appeared in front of Russeues. He pressed his palm against the door and concentrated. The door glowed for a second and a keyboard appeared. Russeues typed a long password in and the door opened.

"Not exactly. It's a refuge for Gods and Demigods."

Percy and Artemis gasped as they enter the room. It was huge, trees everywhere and houses in the trees.

"Who enters? State your name." A quiet voice said.

"It's okay Abel; it's me, Russeues. I brought some Greeks and Romans."

A blond boy, around the age sixteen, lowered his sword and crossed his arms. "They started going after the Greek and Romans now?" His voice was sad. His dark blue eyes flirted over to the Greeks and Romans.

"Yeah, this is Artemis and Perseus. They are both Greek Gods of the Hunt."

"I see," Abel said. "Karna, Satyaki bring them to the testing room. If they have a single trace of the disease I want them out." With that he turned away.

Two Indian boys about 17 stepped forward and motioned the Greeks and Romans to follow. Russ nodded and ushered his friends forward.

Percy went into a chamber alone first. Karna took some samples and tested them before letting him go with a simple "You're clean."

Once everyone was tested and approved the Hunters were all taken to a room so they could sleep. Percy, Artemis, Thalia, Annabeth, Russ, Nico, and Jason remained awake.

Abel and a boy who looked exactly like him sat opposite of them on the floor around a table.

"Tea?" A pretty Asian girl asked poring them tea after receiving a nod.

"So are you the only survivors?" She asked taking a seat next to Abel.

"No. There are still a lot of us left. Our Roman camp was blown up a couple weeks ago and we were looking for the culprit when we came across Russ."

"That's good. We should probably gather the uninfected then. Where is their location?" The girl next to Abel asked.

"New York." Artemis said. "Thalia and Annabeth will show you."

"Faith will accompany you," Abel said motioning to the Asian girl.

"Jason and Nico. I want you to gather the hunters we left with Leo as well as his family."

Abel nodded, "Cain will go with you then." He motioned to his look alike.

"Wait a second. Abel and Cain? As in the Abel and Cain?" Annabeth stared at them in shock.

Cain grinned, "If you mean the kids of Adam and Eve then no, we are merely namesakes. Much like Perseus over there is a namesake of the other Perseus. Am I right?"

Percy nodded.

"The original Abel and Cain are dead. Cain murdered Abel in jealousy and therefore committing the first sin. God, our God, punished Cain and banished him. He later died. Seth, their little brother, is still alive though. Sadly he was one of the immortals who were captured. His son Enosh was captured as well."

"That's terrible!" Artemis gasped.

"That's not the half of it. Islamic culture isn't the only ones affected. The most recent is Egyptian culture. Speaking of which, Russeues, how is your search going? Have you located Sadie and Carter yet?"

Russ looked away, "Not yet. I did find a lead to the Hinduism Gods though. Chandra's energy levels were near where Sparta was located. It vanished pretty quickly though. When I visited Troy I discovered some unknown energy, but that vanished too. I am under the impression that they change their location pretty quickly."

Abel nodded, "You are to return to your search then. Avery and Nevaeh will accompany you this time for safety reasons."

As if on cue, two identical seven year old girls flickered in. They wore the same modest white dress and had their hair done similarly. They reminded Jason of twins in a horror movie.

Russeues pouted, "Fine, come on my ladies, we have some recon to do." And with that the three of them flickered out of sight.

Abel turned back to the remaining two in the room. Percy and Artemis looked at him expectantly.

"The rules are pretty simple. There is no sex, that is a given, no hunting. The animals here are considered sacred. Touching outside this area will be kept to a minimum and training should be daily. We are fighting a war here and laziness will not be tolerated. Break one of these rules and you will be banished."

"Of course," They agreed.

"Percy!"

Percy was caught off guard as little kids crashed into him.

Hinata kept clinging to Percy while the other kids were hugged by the other hunters. They had just finished the tests and were all cleared and now they were having a happy reunion.

"I missed you!" Hinata cried. Percy just smiled and held the boy tightly.

He looked at Leo and frowned, "They weren't too much trouble, were they?"

Chris wrapped his arm around Leo and frowned at Percy. "W-whatever this disease is, it got Clarisse, Hazel and Frank."

Leo offered Percy a weak smiled, "Your hunters were so behaved. You should be proud." His voice started cracking and his eyes began tearing up. He was trying his best to be strong but Percy could tell he was about to lose it.

Putting Hinata down Percy embraced Leo and the Hispanic lost it and started sobbing. He couldn't lose the ones he loved to some stupid disease.

"I-it isn't fair!" Leo cried into Percy's shoulder. "They didn't do anything wrong!"

"They never do," Abel whispered. Leo looked at him through his tears. Abel rubbed a tear off of Leo's cheek and gave him a smile. "You've been really brave so far. We'll save them, we have to."

Leo's legs gave out and he slumped to the floor. Abel and Percy kneeled next to him and just held him until he calmed down. Abel pressed his thumb to Leo's forehead and the small boy passed out.

"It looks as though he hasn't been sleeping very well. This should help. It's dreamless sleep magic. I learned it from Merlin before they took him. Arthur was taken with him." Abel whispered.

Percy lifted Leo into his arms, "Where should I put him?"

"The couch for now. We don't have enough beds for everyone and I do prefer the children to get the beds first."

Percy nodded and placed Leo on the couch. He pulled a comforter on him before turning back to Abel.

"I lost my lover as well," Abel confessed, "I can empathize with him. It destroys you and you feel incomplete. Emotional pain is far worse than physical pain. At least with physical it can be healed easily."

Percy looked down, "I'm sorry."

Abel smiled, "Don't be. It wasn't your fault."

Artemis walked up to then with a grim look on her face, "Is this disease reversible?"

"Not that we know." Abel said his eyes far away. "And it's only a matter of time until we catch it. We need to take out the culprit and fast. We believed at first Satin was the one responsible but he isn't. He was captured as well. Someone is after all religions and we don't know who or why."

Hey guys, about the whole pairing contest I'm doing. I'm totally about to give up on it because you all want different things;

Russ x Reyna (1) - Yes, I legit got this

Jason x Nico (6) – I really would love to do this because in the books Nico does trust Jason and consider him a friend. Jason is like a second chance because Percy had Annabeth.

Nico x Percy (1) – As much as I would love to kick Artemis to the side and have a slash fic I'm sure people would be upset. I do have some Nico x Percy fics though if you want. Marry me, Scarlet Past, and Bloody Present. Immortal love will have some as well.

Jason x Phoebe (1) – No! I mean seriously, she a huntress whose sworn men off. Nico and Jason aren't Hunters, they just travel with Percy because their friends and they want to.

Nico x God (1) – again, thank you for being specific

Russ x Nico (5) – Sure, I guess I could do this but I really dislike shipping characters with OC's

Jason x Reyna (6) – I like this couple as well though in the books it's more of a one-sided love Reyna feels for Jason and Reyna isn't a main character. There is also the problem that since she wasn't one of the seven she wouldn't have gotten immortality.

Jason x Powerpuff girl (1) - ? I mean really? This isn't going to be a crossover and that show is for six year olds. I am not going to have an innocent Powerpuff girl be corrupted.

Jason x Zeus (1) – As much as I love incest, just no.

Nico x Minor God (1) – Oh, more really specific people

Nico x Minor Goddess (1) – Really now?

Jason x Piper (1) – How many times must I say it? I hate Piper!

Nico x Favonius (1) – Okay, so I looked him up. Really though, Nico x the god of spring?

Nico x Nico (1) – yes, I got Nico x himself. Not sure how that works though so no. Sorry.

Nico x Jason x Russ (2) – I would definitely do this if I could but I already put a threesome in here and I don't want to add another. Besides, this is just 3/4ths of my messed up foursome.

Jason x Power ranger (1) – I never actually watched the power rangers before so no.

Nico x Santa Clause (1) – Yes, because I'm sure everyone wants to watch Nico make out with an old fat hairy man.

Overall though, you all seem to want slash so I'll figure something out.
