I found this scroll on my bed. I learned how to destroy. Darkness. Darkness. Darkness. I completely lost my naivety.

I won't allow anyone to come between me and Hades.

Never.

I would even murder If I had to.

I was eager to know what Hades was hiding from me. Was it because of the marriage? Was it because of me? Does he still love me? I need to know these answers. I wish Hades would open up to me. While I was walking down the hallways, I started blasting vases and banners with my fire. I learned those tricks from my scroll. I heard some nymphs chatting. They were talking about Hades' special someone. I wonder if it was about me?

And man was I wrong. "Hades is so sweet! He said he would go to the Upper World to see her," a red haired nymph exclaimed. "Isn't that romantic?" another nymph said. "That girl must be really lucky! Hades really loves her," a brunette nymph said. One of the nymphs spotted me and started saying: "Poor thing! She still thinks Hades loves her!" the brunette nymph said dramatically. I lost my temper after this. I shouldn't have eavesdropped! The truth always hurts. I sought refuge in my favorite place. It was the gardens.

I was in the center of the maze, admiring the black butterflies that fluttered. I saw a statue of a couple. "When will I ever experience this?" I asked myself aloud.

"You will," a voice behind me said. I turned around and saw Thanatos. "You really think?" I asked, "How could anyone like me?" "Well, you're very smart and kind. You're so pretty, you shine brighter than any star I see," Thanatos blushed, "Forget what I just said. What I meant was, you're a great friend. If Hades never loved you, then he's blind." "Thanks," I said. His black feather wings were wrapped around me and his arms were around my waist. His icy blue eyes were staring at me. 'She will never love you that way and never will,' he thought to himself. "Thanatos, thanks for making me feel better," I smiled and hugged him tightly.

Meanwhile...

"Oh my! I never expected another twist," Atropos smiled deviously. "I never knew we would be good at these things," Lachesis said while braiding a small part of her hair with pearls and golden threads, "I mean, messing up some fates of others was fun." "You mean ruining someone else's love life," Atropos corrected. "Do you think we're even allowed to do this matchmaking job? What if Aphrodite finds out about us messing up her couple pairings?" Clotho sounded really worried."I'm sure she wouldn't. It would be really hard for her to trace our doings," Lachesis assumed.

"Not exactly," a voice behind them said. The fates turned around and saw the goddess of love and beauty standing in front of them with pure anger written all over her face. "Hi Aphrodite, what brings you here?" Lachesis greeted like as if nothing ever happened. "So you were the ones who tried to wreck my pairings!" Aphrodite really looked like she was going to crush the world or something way worse. "Meh! Your choices are so boring. I go for the thrills!" Atropos pouted. "You couldn't have at least touched Hades and Hecate," Aphrodite said. "Come on Aphrodite, it's not that bad. We're just giving Thanatos a chance," Clotho said innocently , " And besides, some of the couples you try to create are weird. I mean seriously, you tried to pair up Poseidon and Athena!"

"Hey! Poseidon and Athena were made for each other. It's just that there were some mishaps going on with them," Aphrodite's eyed narrowed. Well, let's just say she tried to set up Poseidon and Athena many times. "Mishaps! Those weren't mishaps, they just really hate each others guts. Remember when you tried to make them have dinner together, and guess what? Poseidon and Athena tried maul each other's faces to pieces," Lachesis pointed out. "Hey, you do realize we're out of topic," Atropos cleared her throat. "Oh yeah, it's about you three trying to destroy my job!" Aphrodite exclaimed. "How about this, we won't ruin your job unless we could hold Hades' and Hecate's fate," Lachesis tried to make a deal. "Alright, but if you don't, I WILL BURY YOU THREE ALIVE AND MAKE SURE YOUR REMAINS WOULD BE EATEN BY SAVAGE BEASTS!Oh wow, It seems I'm late for my pair up Athena and Poseidon time!" Aphrodite vanished.

"We're going spice things up!" Atropos said with victory written all over her face.

It looks like the Fates were up to something...

"Tonight, we are holding a banquet. All of you shall see my beloved," Hades announced. No. I can't stand this. After what he told me before. After what he had promised me. After he proposed to me.

I left the dining room trying to seek refuge in a place filled with solitude. But I failed to, since my breathing tightened. Everything started to slow down. My eyesight started to blur.

I passed out due to the heaviness of the stress I've been holding lately.

The floor felt so cold and unwelcoming, just like how I felt right now. Just then I heard some footsteps. I felt like someone was carrying me. I'm sure it was Thanatos, he's obviously the type of person who would do that thing.

Later on, I finally woke up. The first thing I saw was a figure sitting on a chair next to my bed. "Thanatos?" I said. "Wrong," he said. My vision started to clear and the person next to me was actually Hades. "Were you alright?" Hades tried to see if I was alright. "As if fainting wasn't so painful," I said in a sharp tone. "I'm sorry, I was just worried. I thought you'd never wake up," He looked really worried. His deep purple eyes were so mesmerizing, like I could be hypnotized. "Hades, was I light?" I asked in embarrassment. "Really light," he chuckled. "Oh," I sighed at the thought of Hades carrying me in his strong arms.

There was a knock on the door. "I'll get it for you," Hades opened the door. "Hey there Thanatos," I greeted. "I heard that you fainted," Thanatos came closer and sat on the chair, since Hades left after he entered the room. "I'm alright," I flashed on a huge smile. "I'm glad you said that," he patted my head. "Thanatos, your my only friend. I felt like Hades abandoned me," I laid my head on his shoulder.

At the banquet...

"You look lovely tonight," Hades complimented me. "Thanks," I rolled my eyes. Really? Just that! He could have realizations that I'm as precious as a diamond, instead of saying I look nice. "Are you alright?" He put his hand on my shoulder. "I'm fine!" I wiped off some of my tears. Why Hades? Why does this have to be complicated?

"She's here!" Hades exclaimed. "Who?" I wondered. "Her," he pointed at a brown haired with a pink lily on her hair. She looks really plain in my opinion. I thought she'd look like Athena, she had pale milky white skin like me, long wavy golden blonde hair, rosy cheeks, and pinkish lips. No wonder Poseidon secretly likes her. He tries deny that he likes her. A lot. I know what your thinking : "Doesn't Aphrodite look like that?" No. Aphrodite has all of Athena's looks except for the hair and eyes. She has blood red hair and amethyst purple orbs.

The girl who Hades liked noticed him and ran to us. "Hecate, this is Persephone," he continued, "Persephone, this is Hecate. She'll be your lady-in-waiting." "I hope you could do well as my lady-in-waiting," Persephone said sweetly. Really! I was demoted to lady-in-waiting. Is he joking? I do not want to serve that girl!

At least Thanatos saved me by bringing me to the balcony. "It looks like you were about to cry," he sounded concern. "Me? I would never cry," I denied. "Alright. Why were your eyes watery?" He had a playful smile. "There was something stuck in my eyes. Stop intruding with my personal well being, alright!" I lied. "Oh really?" His smirk grew wider, "So your fine that Hades has someone else." My eyes welled up again. "Do you wanna die that bad?" I sounded irritated. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean that," His usual cold eyes were filled with sympathy. "I'm tired of everything, Thanatos," I covered my face. "Why did he forget about me? Did he court me just so he could fulfill his duty as king?" I felt like a huge idiot for believing that he'd like me. Why did I even have these expectations if I know it's never going to happen? I doubt it. I'm nothing but a titan.

I rushed back to my room thought about the whole thing that's happening right now.

I was a fool...

My eyes were finally open. I saw reality. My childish ideals and fantasies started to vanish before my very own eyes. It felt like walking on shattered glass. That feeling I was experiencing right now was excruciating. I must be bleeding emotionally. My emotions started fading away. I was not meant to feel anymore.
