Forbidden Love

AN: Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. My computer broke and it's hard to type with no computer. Also all my saved data was on that computer but I was able to transfer it all to my new computer.

Chapter 22:

Acai and Hinata crouched down behind a barrel and tried to listen into the grownups conversation. A really pretty man had entered with Russ and the Hunters wanted to know who.

"Come on, nobody is guarding the entrance right now," Acai whispered. The two snuck forward. After the whole popsicle incident the two had become scarily close. They did almost everything together and unfortunately; lets just say the two had a mutual love for pranking. Acai was smart and Hinata was small and cute.

The two entered a silent room. If they didn't see all the people in it then they would have thought it was empty.

Acai pulled at Hinata's arm and motioned towards the pretty man they saw earlier. He was surrounding by other unrecognizable figures.

The two kids walked into the room unnoticed and sat in a corner. Nobody had spoken in a long time. They all seemed shocked or surprised at something.

Finally the pretty boy spoke up, "So are you with us or not?"

Abel hesitated, "The front lines? I guess but if what you say is in fact the truth then we stand no chance against the enemy and will be wiped out."

"So you admit you're weak?" One of the boy's behind the pretty boy said.

"Hush Zaine," The pretty boy said. He turned back to Abel, "strength doesn't matter at the moment. We need to figure out who's the strongest and what their strengths and weaknesses are."

"If that's the case then I guess I can send out my strongest troops." Abel said reluctantly. "But I do expect you to help us. We aren't going in without any sort of back up."

Russ nodded before anyone could say anything. "You will most definitely have back up."

"Percy, Artemis, what about you?" Cain asked.

Percy frowned, "I'll send my archers in. Maybe all of my dragons. I don't like this plan of yours though." He admitted.

"Me neither but I guess you do need our help." Artemis said. "Add my troops in as well."

Hinata's eyes widened. They were going to fight? He didn't understand fully what that entailed but Percy didn't look very happy about it. Forgetting that he was supposed to be hidden he ran up the the pretty boy and pounded on his leg.

"Stop! You're making Percy and Artemis and Abel and everyone sad!" He yelled.

The pretty boy looked down at the boy and winced when he looked into his soul. It looked torn apart. People he loved hurt him and his family was torn apart. He also had physical wounds as well as the emotional.

Hinata screamed and thrashed as the man lifted Hinata into the air.

"Who are you?"

"That's Hinata, he's one of my hunters," Percy said watching the man' every move. If he dare hurt a single hair on his little head…

"Hello Hinata. My name is Demetri. I am the king of Angels and Prince of Heaven." Demetri said. He waved a hand over Hinata and the boy immediately calmed down.

"What did you do to him?" Percy yelled snatching the four year old out of the man's arms and safely into his own.

"I healed him." Demetri said simply. "He was damaged so I fixed him. He is an angel now."

"You made him an angel?" Percy growled as he cradled the boy closer to him.

"It's an honor. An angel is much more powerful than his human state." Demetri stated.

Hinata clutched Percy's shirt and hid his face. "I don't want to be an angel. I want to stay with Percy."

"You can't stay with Percy. You are no longer his kind. You are above him."

Hinata growled, "You had no right! I'm staying with Percy and I don't care what you think! You're mean!"

"That's enough Dem." Russ spoke up now, "You shouldn't have done that. They are right. Let them stay together."

"Humans are so confusing."

"War?" Dante asked warily. "Is that really what it's come to?"

"Afraid so," Percy said, Hinata still huddled in his arms.

"When will it start?" Cole asked.

"They'll send us out tomorrow. Foxes and Cubs stay here. Tigers will come but the only thing you will be doing is preventing anyone from getting to the archers. Got it?"

A chorus of "Yes sir" rang through the air.

"Good. Get some rest."

Jason walked up to Percy and put his hand on his shoulder.
