Okay, so I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was in a slash mood and so I decided to write some new stories and update Bloody Present (Which you should read if you haven't and if you're into that sort of thing. I wrote my first lemony scene if you want to check it out it is chapter 10 of Bloody Present). Also I realized I haven't added much Percy x Artemis yet so I will do that soon.
I'm upping the rating from T to M due to violence and gore
Also for the war scenes, I'm going to skip around for it and add only the important details.
Also, it seems that most of you don't care who I kill off so yeah… I got one review saying to save Hinata but thats it. I'm disappointed that you would let a four year old die…
Chapter 24:
It had been one year since the war had started and Percy was getting worried. The fighting has yet to stop and the casualties kept rising up. The evil forces have pushed into purgatory and Russ as well as the other occupants of said land have fallen ill with disease and were slowly dying.
The enemy was much stronger than they were and Percy knew that the end was near. He hated watching so many give their lives for the cause and he watched as they were cut down. Sora and Skylar had been moved to the Angels forces to defend against the stronger enemy leaving the demigods stuck with the animals and monsters.
Percy sighed and looked down. He tied his long dark hair into a ponytail and sighed. Looking over the battle plans again he frowned and shifted some people around.
Artemis and all the archers were to place themselves around the clearing and trying to slow the enemy down while Percy and the swordsman defended the entrance to the Abel's camp while the injured and the children fled to a safer place. They didn't have much time until the entire camp was run over and destroyed.
"You shouldn't stress so much," A soft voice behind him criticized. He felt a blanket being draped over his shoulders and looked into emotionless brown eyes. If Zoe's death was hard on her then losing Phoebe and Gracia must have been devastating. Phoebe had been one of her oldest hunters and friends. Gracia was just one of the girls she recruited but never really spoke to. Now she would never have the chance to.
It was sad to see how fragile a human life was.
To watch your best friend get their red heart torn violently out of their chests. Watching their life leave their eyes. It scared them. Percy never wanted to see that again.
Blake had been one of the firsts. After the leg injury he could hardly move. Percy and the others had to leave him because it was the only way to ensure their survival. That didn't mean they liked it or found it easy.
He told them to go. It was the only way to escape.
Percy could still hear his screams as the boy was eaten alive. It haunted him. And he couldn't even tell himself that he was in a better place because he knew he wasn't. He was roaming the earth with millions of other stuck souls. Nico says it's crowded and impossible to make out faces or voices. He said they were all full of misery and deep sadness.
It pained him to know all who died was there.
Artemis sighed again and wrapped her arms around his chest. She buried her head in his neck and closed her eyes seeking comfort.
Percy leaned into her embrace and gripped her thin wrists. He felt tears seeping into his shirt and realized she was crying. He didn't blame her.
"Do you have the list of casualties?" Percy asked.
Artemis nodded and pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket and handed it to him.
Percy read through the list and frowned, he put the list down and stood up.
"I want to be alone," He declared.
Artemis watched him leave the room and frowned. Curiously she looked at the list to determine what Percy was so upset about.

Artemis skimmed lower down the list, ignoring the many other names on it until she came across two, one after another, that made her drop the page. She clutched her heart and looked towards where Percy had just left and chased after him.
"Percy!" She called chasing after him. She found him on the the balcony looking down sadly at the empty village that used to be filled with hope.
Abel's village was bare and covered in bad memories. The enemy forces would be here soon and there was nothing they could do to slow it down.
Knowing no words could help, Artemis just wrapped her arms around Percy's mid section.
They would all die.
She closed her eyes and held him tightly attempting to get him out of his daze.
There was no hope.
Taking drastic measures she spun him around and embraced him closely.
Life was unfair. They didn't do anything bad.
She smashed her pink lips into his. Salty tears ended on her tongue.
It wasn't a perfect kiss and it wasn't passionate by any means.
But it shocked Percy out of his daze.
"I'm sorry," She whispered.
Percy just collapsed into her embrace and sobbed.
Artemis just held him.
She thought back to the two names on the paper.
Leo Valdez - Infected
Leo was Percy's best friend and if he was infected he was as worse than dead with their current condition.
Cole Triad-Deceased
Percy's faithful and one of his oldest companions. He was a dragon, one of Percy's favorites.
And now he was gone. Just like Blake and Phoebe. Like Faith and Lucifer. Trapped like Russeues and Leo. Innocent like Grace and Haru were.
Percy lost a lot of his loved ones in the past year. The fox, Eli, who trained so hard even with one arm was caught in battle, the young girl, Lesli, he rescued and gave to Leo and got infected.
And recently his best friend Jason was infected and disappeared after Percy watched him grow weaker and vulnerable for four months.
Reyna was killed instantly by the disease. Piper followed soon after.
Of all the people he went on the quest with,Piper-dead, Leo-Infected, Frank-deceased, Hazel-Deceased, Annabeth-Traitor, Nico-Depressed, Jason-Deceased.
It hurt, now he was losing his created family.
It wasn't fair. Life wasn't fair.
Nothing was fair.
Artemis sighed, "We should get out while we still can," She murmured.
Percy allowed her to guide him away.
He didn't even look back as an arrow whizzed by his ear and almost hit him.
There was almost no hope.

Sorry again for not updating. Anyway I hoped you like the fluffy scene. They kissed, sloppy and wet because they were both crying and it was kind of gross but they still kissed!
Anyway…
The people who are immortal aren't actually dead, just in the other realm with Hazel and the other gods.
Piper is dead and Reyna is dead because they weren't immortal and I hate Piper and since I've already killed off Clarisse, Annabeth, Grover, Drew, and Thalia in my other fic I didn't want to kill Piper off there…. Maybe later when Hazel hatches her crazy plan to save Alex and Leo… and Jason but really, she doesn't care about him…
Anyway… Review because I have Hinata's, Acai, Abel, and Cain's life in my hands and I already killed off Haru, Cole and Eli.
